Irvington’s indie smash shop sells out for a reason: crisp-edged patties, playful builds like the Sleepy Hollow, and local beer. Covered by Axios Indianapolis at opening and still humming, it’s a neighborhood favorite with patio hangs and Dole Whip.

Had the pleasure of dining here today for the first time, which happened to be during the Irvington Halloween Festival. The place was packed, but the service was still friendly and fast. Now for the burger...I had the triple Original Smash'd. It was excellent! I've had many smash burgers, and I want to say this was the best one. I'm going to have to go back to confirm. My previous favorite was the Giant Double from Working Man's Friend. The crust was great and flavorful, the seasoning spot on, crispy lacey edges, and the condiments were not just an afterthought. I don't know if they make their pickles in house, but they taste like home made refrigerator pickles. I highly recommend Smash'd to anyone who is serious about their love of burgers, especially if they love smash burgers. Good job guys, see you again soon.

Google
🔥I totally smashed my Smash’d Burger and can’t wait to visit again! Today was my first time going here and I don’t know why I waited so long!!! I see what I’ve been missing! I got the Bacon and Blue burger, a side salad and drink and EVERYTHING was sooo amazingly wonderful and fresh!!! I picked up my order and got the veggies and sauces on the side and the service was excellent (I love smiling faces!) atmosphere was very comfortable, clean and inviting! The garlic aioli was to die for! I devoured every crumb of my burger and salad! All for less than $20 and that included the tip! Thanks Mikey and crew!!!! I will be back!!❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

First time here. I ordered the original and found it to be bland. It was good, just nothing special. Next time I'll try a specialty burger. I also ordered chili. At first look I didn't think I'd like it. It looked watered down, beans looked hard and just a not so good looking chili. Though it didn't taste traditional it was good. Lots of meat and they add onions, cheese and crispy jalapeños. Is order that again. The interior was rather plain and "dark" feeling. Large windows didn't help the feeling of an old cafeteria. Dark blue walls, cold metal and wood chairs, nothing on the walls that I recall. I would have preferred to sit outside but it was rainy.

Google
Something about this place screams for a visit from Guy of "Dumps, Dives and Diners" (or something like that 😁) fame. I think Guy would approve of the Smash'd Burger approach to food. I had a chili and sweet potato fries, very nice, if surprisingly not that spicy on the jalapeno infused chili. My mother got the Vegan speciality, the Beyond Smash'd Burger. The "meat" was actually pretty good which is not always the case, by any means. The staff was friendly and clearly invested in the success of the shop. They were cleaning tables, serving orders but without being overly intrusive or "tip seeking". The main draw was the atmosphere: made up of equal parts of old-time Irvington, trendy sports bar, welcoming family restaurant and old school burger joint. It could have pulled in too many directions but for me, it worked. Pro Tip Long time Irvingtonians will remember that this building once housed Lazy Days Coffee Shop which was also quite popular in its day. My point being: This is a good place so enjoy it while you've got it and support it if you want to keep it.

This place has cute outdoor patio seating along with tables inside. The interior ambiance is not great, but the burgers are fantastic, classic smash burgers. You order at the counter.

Google
Great food, great service, great experience. This was my first time at Smashed and I will definitely be back. Best everything I have ate in while. Fresh, delicious, flavorful. Also Brittani was THE BEST PART, she killed it. She was so informative and made sure our experience was top tier

Google
Pretty awesome little place! Parking is kinda tight if your in a bucket truck! The food was wonderful! I had a double patty mushrooms and swiss. The thick fries were cooked to perfection! I would highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area!

Google
My mom and I tried Smash’d Burger for the first time after hearing about it in a Facebook foodie group, and it did not disappoint! First off, the atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming—it set the tone right away. My mom ordered the Outlaw (she’s a peanut butter lover), and she was in heaven. I had the Bacon & Blues—so flavorful and cooked perfectly. But the real showstopper? The loaded Smash’d fries. OMG!! Absolutely incredible. We also tried the pineapple Dole Whip, and it’s the second best we’ve had—right behind the famous one at the Indiana State Fair. We did a takeout order, and everything was still fresh and delicious by the time we made it home. Our anticipation was high, and we ended up being overly satisfied. And we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Second Time was better than my first! I think Brittany was my cashier and her customer service and engagement was top tier. It was my brother's first time. He loved it so much he ordered more food for dinner. We also tried the raspberry/pineapple whip mixed, omg!! Try it! No pics this time guys, we were hungry!

Yelp
Not only do they have Braveheart black Angus beef, but they have salmon chicken and impossible burgers. They have a burger of the month option, they have beer, ice cream and soda. I let them know I can't eat dairy and they gave me a sample of their dole whip selection of the month which is made with coconut oil. Pretty good option, sweet and spur. I ordered a headless horseman with horseradish aoli, onions, shredded lettuce and pickles. Messy but good. Whew that horsey sauce sure cleared up my sinus and burned a little goindown so it's the real deal! (I would have gotten a beer to cool me off but just didn't feel like paying $7 for the one I wanted). I love the actual burger, cooked perfectly, smashed with crispy edges :) they offer 1, 2 or 3 patties. I had 2 patties and don't think I could have fit my mouth around 3. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant looks small upon entry but there are 2 additional rooms for pleanty of seating. There are a few parking spots out front and a small parking area. The whole area of Irvington is very cramped to me. They have a unique vibe but such a crowded feel. It was a Friday night around 6pm tho...

Yelp
I have been seeing this place on social media and wanted to give it a try. I was able to park on the street and there is more parking available in back. There is outside seating, high top seating or regular seating available. The menu is plentiful and lots of options. I ordered the danger Smash'd burger with a double patty. They have salmon and chicken as protein options as well. Service is nice and fast. Price point is affordable. Can't wait to try more of the menu!

Yelp
I've had Smash'd on my list to try for awhile but just haven't made it in yet. But I saw the trailer at the Riley Festival and knew I had to try it since it pretty much came to me. It looked like they had a good variety of burger options from their regular menu on the trailer menu. I went with the original and it was pretty good! I'm not generally a burger person. I ONLY liked them smashed and with lots of toppings. And this burger was that. The burger patty was crispy, the bun was soft, and the toppings were crisp. We got our burgers in about 30 seconds so they had to be pre-prepared. The burger was just warm, not hot, but I'm sure that's just the nature of ordering your burger from a trailer during a busy festival instead of the restaurant. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Yelp
We got takeout from here for a birthday dinner. I had trouble with the lack of allergen menu. I had to hunt to find that yes, they have gluten free buns available. They do have "gluten-friendly" fries as well. They carry a lot of sauces, and I think they're probably what "make" the burgers, but I couldn't find any info on what was in them so couldn't safely order online. I ended up asking for mayo on the side, but it wasn't included in our order. The gluten free bun was burnt, and without a sauce or cheese (which I can't have as I'm medically dairy-free) it was a bit dry. The burger patty itself was good, and the lettuce, pickles, and tomato were too. Fries were okay, but nothing special. So I'd try this again, maybe when I can ask about the sauces or when they get an allergen menu together, but it won't be my first choice for a burger for now. If you are gluten free and dairy free like me, may be hit or miss, but could be worth a visit if you're in Irvington.

Yelp
Fast food burger restaurant with indoor seating. The staff is nice and patient when answering questions about the menu. I ordered the aristocrat as a meal with fries and a shake. The aristocrat is 2 smashed patties with grilled mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic aioli, and Swiss cheese. You need a knife and fork to eat this burger and plenty of napkins. The fries and the burger were seasoned well. The caramel milkshake was nice and thick but could have used a little more flavor.

Yelp
We finally tried Smash'd in Greenfield! So blown away. There was a lot of community hype around this place opening and it did not disappoint! Our family of 3 all had meals plus a beer plus a milkshake all fabulous all under $45! Service was quick! They've really done a great job with the remodel. It's a nice bright yet cozy atmosphere tucked right in downtown Greenfield. Welcome to Greenfield, Smash'd. We are excited to have you!

Yelp
For a quick, easy, and delicious burger spot, look no further! On busy nights you may have to circle the block to find street parking but it's worth it. There is patio seating and two rooms of indoor seating. When I walked in I was greeted by two kind and friendly employees who saw the indecisiveness written all over my face and helped me decide on a burger! It was a tough choice because there were so many unique options. I got the PBJ Time burger which was honey roasted peanut butter, Boar's Head bacon, crispy jalapeños, + pepper jack. I order it as a combo so I could get the sweet potato waffle fries and a drink. My friend got ice cream (Dr. Pepper ice cream!) which she so graciously let me try and it was super tasty! Definitely a great place to grab a bit on a nice summer evening.
google avatar

Yelp
I really enjoyed my food here at Smash'd Burger. This is set up for a quick dinner where you order at the front and they bring it out to you pretty quickly. I got the PBJ burger, which was delicious and more than enough food as a single with fries. You can definitely tell that this place is popular locally because it was busy on a Wednesday night with families. Even though it was busy and never felt cramped or loud just very warm and welcoming. I will definitely be stopping by again if I'm in the area.

Yelp
Hands down favorite burger in Indy so far! I'm a sucker for a good smashburger and they hit the nail on the head. I ordered a single burger with lettuce, tomato, bacon on the burger with pickles and their burger sauce on the side. I did visit during the lunch menu and was able to snag a combo for $13. The waffle fries were delicious and the ice cream was delicious. I tried the cappuccino and chip, so so good. Will be back!

Yelp
Great smashed burgers! Right in Irvington Food was excellent lots of options including vegan and vegetarian options. The smash burgers were incredible! I got the cheesy bacon with American and Swiss cheese and Boars head bacon, sauce and tomatoes. We also got the big IRV and an Original. Fresh cut fries were so crispy but soft in the inside. Sweet potato fries were very crispy and so tasty. Prices are a little elevated but the food was so good it was worth it. The restaurant had three rooms where you can sit. All very true to the Irvington "feel". Highly recommended. They were waiting at the counter when we came in, were very patient while we looked over our options and food came out quickly.

Yelp
Had a double cheeses burger with fries and drink. The burger had nice patties but could have used some salt while cooking. The fries were waffle version and not hot. Wouldn't recommend the fries. Pepsi product but did offer the cherry coke version and was calibrated well.. Did like the outdoor seating.

Yelp
I was in Irvington for an event next door to Smash'd. We love a good smash burger so we were excited to try it! The line moved pretty quickly as they have two cash registers to order at. Plenty of seating inside and outside. The building is a bit oddly shaped but keep walking through to find seating. Food came out pretty quickly despite the signs saying cooked to order, please be patient for which I was thankful as I was very hungry. A great smash burger that disappeared so fast I didn't get a picture. They no longer have any waffle fries but the sweet potato fries were perfect on their own. The dole whip was a bit tart for my liking. Staff delivering food were super nice.

Yelp
Stopped into Smash'd Burger in Irvington for the first time. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. I ordered the Original Smash'd and added a fried egg and bacon, with a side of thick-cut fries. The food was okay... nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The burger and fries were decent, just not quite as flavorful as I expected. Overall, solid service and a nice spot to try if you're in the area.

Yelp
The food was great! Big juicy burger with crispy edges, great ingredients. Hot and fresh. Fries were well-executed. Service was kind and prompt. Casual atmosphere. My new favorite burger place in the city

Yelp
I need someone to roll me out of here !! I got the Big Irv with loaded fries ( I feel my back getting bigger as I type this :) ) the vibe was very inviting and was met with smiles and even suggestions as well. Don't think it's just the front area when it comes to seating because it stretches up front and can accommodate more people not to mention the wonderful outside seating!! The food is extremely filling so come with an empty tummy and the loaded fries are UNMATCHED!!
google avatar

Ata A.

Yelp
Great waffle fries and a solid selection of good burgers and sandwiches. Not a lot of space inside to eat, but if the weather is nice, there's decent seating outside. Love the pineapple whip options!
google avatar

Garrett M.

Yelp
Best burger in indy and it's not even close. I got the big irv with American cheese and added bacons/fried jalapeños.
google avatar

Sheree W.

Yelp
I do love a good burger. This is a good spot for a good smash burger with outside of the box toppings. They offer several options from beef to veggie burgers. They also sale beer and wine and on some days offer specials where you can get a beer, burger and fries for a low cost. There is plenty of seating outside and inside with free parking right in the front or in back. Bonus- depending on the day they have spoken word right outside. Don't think it's affiliated with the restaurant but it just so happens that's the same area people perform!

Yelp
I was introduced to Smash'd Burger Bar by my sister, who says that it is her go-to spot in the city of Indianapolis. I chose and made my way to Smash'd Burger which was very close to me at the time while out-and-about in the city. I was acknowledged shortly after I walked in and up to the counter to look at the menu featured above the counter. It always takes me some time to look through the menu, especially when I am unfamiliar with the restaurant. Once identified, I ordered the Beyond Smash'd (vegan beyond beef patty, lettuce, onion, pickle, smash'd sauce) with Waffle Fries and Soda. I chose to order takeout since I had a 187-mile drive back to the city of Chicago, but while waiting for my order to be completed I had the chance to get a feel of Smash'd Burger Bar. An ideal spot for lunch and dinner, this fast-casual style of a restaurant appeared clean, and its atmosphere gave off a bit of a sporty vibe in my opinion. And there are a number of tables and seats available whether it be inside of the dining area, or outside of the storefront. Now as for my food, the vegan beyond beef patty was beautifully presented inside of the foam container along with the waffle fries. After my first few bites of it, I moaned and said to myself "Damn!" because it was that delicious! And I must say that the smash'd sauce complemented the vegan beyond beef patty very well. I texted my sister shortly after eating it, telling her that I will want it again at some point, * chef's kiss *. I am well open to re-visiting Smash'd Burger Bar again when visiting the city of Indianapolis being that I had an enjoyable experience. And as my sister recommended it to me, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all. ~ Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

Yelp
OMG!!!!! I finally found the BEST burger in Indianapolis. I had the Sleepy Hollow burger with a garlic aioli sauce. The sauce was amazing. It did not overpower the flavor of the burger at all. The burger was cooked perfectly with crispy edges. Great flavor mix. My burger also had fried onions, bacon and Swiss. OUTSTANDING!!! The Dole whip reminds me of a trip to Disney. Great food, great service. I highly recommend.

Katrina B.

Yelp
Best burger I've ever had! Yummy fries. The sauce is amazing. Service is super fast.
google avatar

Taylor S.

Yelp
A great local joint but that is still worth a drive. If you like thin smash burgers this place is a go to. They have a variety of different combos or build your own. Alongside fries and dole whip it's a great local joint. Priced well and on Mondays they have kids combos for $1 which is awesome. We come very regularly.
google avatar

Carmen W.

Yelp
I stopped in with my dad and kids to check out the burgers in honor of Burger Week 7/22-7/28. We were happy that the menu had more than just burgers because my father is a vegetarian and my youngest will eat one but prefers other options. After we placed our order we waited less than 15 min. Which was understandable since the food is made to order and there were people ahead of us. They have high top tables at the entrance with a small dining area off to the right and tables outside. Everyone enjoyed their burgers my dad even checked to make sure his was not meat and my son loved his breakfast sandwich. If you are in Irvington and looking for a good burger then stop in.
google avatar

Michelle Q.

Yelp
Best burger award is well deserved! Original smash'd w fries was absolutely amazing! Staff were friendly, food was hot and location seating are great. Was pouring rain this visit but will be back when nice outside for patio
google avatar

Lori H.

Yelp
The street corn burger made me swoon. God, and the crispy edges! We will be back, over and over again.

Mark G.

Yelp
First visit to Smash'd burger Friendly staff, not much of a wait. The burgers were excellent. Two specialty burgers and a build your own. Very flavorful with fresh toppings. The sides however, different story. My Don and I had regular waffle fries and my wife had the sweet potato fries. All three were cold when we got them. Pretty disappointing If we are in the area, we would probably stop again, but skip the sides, but we wouldn't make a special trip for the food, like we did today.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Had to see what all the hype is about! Stopped in Smash'd Burger Bar in Irvington and got a burger with a side of waffle fries. Great quality and price - the smash burger was not greasy and tasted very fresh. Waffle fries were HUGE and I loved that was a fry option because you don't find that at many places. Cute mural inside with some seating there and also some patio seating so you can enjoy the nice weather during the summer.
google avatar

Tyanna M.

Yelp
We stopped in here for lunch and I thought I would try the PBJ Time which was a honey roasted peanut butter, bacon, pepper jack, and crispy jalapeño burger. I made it a combo so I got waffle fries and a soda with it. My hubby got the build your own burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. He also ordered the sweet potato waffle fries and had a Wee Mac with it. They were quick to take our order and you order at the counter and then take your number to your seat and they bring the food to you. When the tables in the back get full it can be a bit loud in there. I did not care too much for the peanut butter on the burger but was still happy I finally had the courage to try one! If you like peanut butter then this one may be for you but in a burger place I want to be able to taste my burger and the peanut butter was just too overpowering. Waffle fries were ok. The hubby really, really, liked his burger. He even told me to make sure I go back there and order the regular burger to try as he knows I would like it. He did not like the waffle fries at all and they were soft not crispy. I tried to order the Dole Whip but the machine was being replaced. I headed back the next day to go the Market Vintage across the street and was able to get my Dole Whip then. So I am definitely going back because the hubby was so a big fan of his burger and I will try one made my way!
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Very decent smash burger and reasonably priced. I opted for the aristocrat it was very good and had plenty of toppings and cheese. Wish they had coke products versus Pepsi but that's more personal preference. If I was in Irvington looking for a burger I would go back.
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Smash'd Burger Bar smashed it. This little burger bar in the heart of Irvington was a great choice for dinner tonight. The concept is simple. Smashed burgers, sides and a variety of sandwiches are ordered at a front counter and are served to your table, piping hot and delicious. The menu has a large variety of burgers. I got their take on the premier sandwich of the Golden Arches: the Smash'd Mac. Their smash burger patties are meatier than most and the well-seasoned beef and toppings hit the spot. Pair this with waffle fries and it was a dinner winner. They also have Dole Whip, that bastion of the state fair. It sounded so good but I opted to have it next time when the temperature was above freezing. Brisk business even outside of the standard dinner and lunch hours. They have a solid product and formula and are a great place to have a meal.
google avatar

Kaylin G.

Yelp
My husband picked up our food to-go, but he was raving about how cozy the ambiance was! The smash burgers were phenomenal. Everything I was craving and more. We also got the sweet potato waffle fries that were delicious. The woman who took his order said you can choose as many patties for your burger as you want. Overall great service and great food. Even after a 20 minute ride home it tasted fresh and amazing.
google avatar

Katherine L.

Yelp
Have been here twice now and the food never disappoints!! Highly recommend the Sleepy Hollow! The building is a little hidden but it's a pretty cozy place and very well taken care of!
google avatar

Merry B.

Yelp
If it werent for us walking around Irvington for a little market, I'm not sure we would've ever tried Smash'd Burger, but I'm so glad we did! The service was friendly and quick. Prices and portions were really fair. And everything came out great! I ordered the Aristocrat with chicken breast and my husband got the burger of the month: Loaded Fry Smash'd. We each got fries and a drink, one sweet potato and one regular. Everything was made fresh to order, sandwiches were juicy and flavorful, and the fries were SO good. Perfectly crispy without being greasy at all. There's a good amount of indoor seating and since outdoor picnic tables too. We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Delicious burgers and excellent well organized service. We came during Pride and even though it was packed they got our burgers to us with ease. Great outdoor seating area and plenty of seating inside as well. Burgers and fries were delicious and not overly heavy or greasy. Lots of beer options and ice cream too!
google avatar

Linda I.

Yelp
I love there burgers tonight when we order fries they are not the waffle fries anymore not very good, go back to waffle please

Yelp
What a nice burger place in Irvington! It's located where the former Bougie Biscuit used to be. I liked the color scheme they had going on in here. Navy blue walls with dark wood accents. They have a great Irvington mural and nods to the historic Irvington Halloween Festival tied throughout the restaurant. They had a special for the featured Headless Horseman - fire roasted horseradish aioli, sweet horseradish pickles, shredded cheese and lettuce. It was delicious! I hope they keep it on the menu. Crispy edges on the patty due to them being smashed on the grill. The sweet potato waffle fries were good and crispy. I only wish they had a dip for them. Some sort of marshmallow dip or something that goes with sweet potatoes. They also had great music playing due to a nice new juke box. They have outside tables as well to enjoy your food and enjoy the outdoors. Great place all around! Will be back!! They also have Dole Whips here!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Hold the phone and gird the taste buds! Had an opening in my schedule to venture to Irvington, and saw they were participating in Indy Birger Week. The Original Smash'd is truly a good burger. Crisp edges, fresh veggies, and a bun that's almost Kings Hawaiian sweet. Got some fresh waffle fries that were bigger than expected, and perhaps a little less crispy than I like, but they were still really good. Quick turnaround from order to burger-in-hand. Now I want to try a few others. Quaint little burger joint that has something going - give them a try!
google avatar

Ellen F.

Yelp
This is a great little burger place in Irvington, and should life ever bring me to the area from downtown, this is THE spot I'll go for food. It's a smaller place with a few street parking spots (maybe some out back? Not sure). The burgers are a good price but sides are priced separately, but still about $15 for the burger, fries, and drink. Everything came out pretty quickly and to order. I can't remember the price exactly as I wrote this review a bit later than I meant to! I ordered... The Sleepy Hollow Burger: great burger with good toppings (again, forgetting the specifics but I also write my Yelp reviews as a way to remember what to order a second time!) Loaded Fries: there's a good amount of toppings on here and I don't think it's worth the $6 given that it is fairly difficult to enjoy with the toppings falling off :/
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
It has been years since I was in Irvington and this was worth going a few miles out of our way for dinner. My brother really liked his burger and I thought the BLT was well executed. If you feel compelled to get a side, I would say skip the waffle fries. It isn't that they were bad, they just weren't up to the standard of the sandwiches. Maybe the sweet potato fries are better (or I will just get the salad). The unexpected item was discovering they had Dole Whip, an indulgence that I have only ever had while in the Hawaiian Islands. It was a welcome treat. Glad we stopped by and this will be on the list of places for when I am in Indy O

Yelp
WOW! Just wow!! We are visiting Indianapolis this weekend, we decided to try Smashe'd Burger Bar for dinner.. Amazing. We ordered 5 double cheese & bacon burgers plus the aristocrat with fries and a drink, costly but SO DELICIOUS! Service was spectacular, the atmosphere is great. Music is definitely too loud.. We will definitely eat here again!
google avatar

Sigrid W.

Yelp
Finally managed to stop by and give this a try. This is a order-at-the-counter and they'll bring it out to your table type of restaurant. Had a single patty Irv, which was good in taste, but was almost swimming in special sauce and grease. I may have to order it with easy on the sauce and give that a try. I did not get the fries, because I indulged in the Dole Whip. It was nice of them to ask if I wanted that right away or with my burger... I took it right away as an appetizer. Not only do they offer the traditional pineapple, but also the vanilla version. Even better yet, both flavors swirled together for a fantastic experience. Can you tell I was more impressed by the Dole Whip than the burger? I will definitely be back for more whip. Wish they were open on Sundays, since that's usually when I am in the area.
google avatar

Bridget K.

Yelp
This is one of my absolute favorite places to grab a burger! The owners are so kind and such hard workers! They have gluten free options and the burgers are cooked to perfection. They are crispy, juicy and leave you wanting more. There are a ton of burger options and each month they have a Burger of the Month. They have crispy sweet potato waffle fries that I highly recommend. Irvington has a real gem!

Yelp
This was Bouji Biscuit last time we were in the Irvington area. Not sure how long Smash'd Burger has been open. The Cob Salad was great. Lots of ham bacon and cheese. Husband said bacon cheese burger was really good. The waffle fry's were crispy and delicious. Service up front was kinda meh. Just felt like the person ringing up our order wasn't feeling it today. We all have off days.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to check out Irvington's new Smash'd Burger Bar, a burger joint that took over the spot recently vacated by Boujie Biscuits and a spot that has seen its share of tenants. It's not the most convenient location, especially for parking, though it's honestly fairly workable and I never seem to have much trouble. That said, it's just not a super high traffic area across the street from The Irving. You can probably tell by its name that it's a burger joint, though they do have a few other sandwiches. This is a new concept by the folks who own Whiskey Business. Smash'd serves fresh angus beef Braveheart Black Angus Beef Company. They are also known for their pineapple and vanilla swirl dole whip desserts. Smash'd offers about 10 specialty burger combinations along with a BYO option. You can get a single, double, or triple. Other sandwiches include a grilled chicken, BLT, ham, and I believe a grilled cheese. They have cobb salad and grilled chicken salad. Sides include waffle fries, sweet potato fries, applesauce, and a side salad. You can also combo the sandwiches. I believe they served Pepsi products. They do have iced tea and it's Lipton. In terms of accessibility, parking is probably the trickiest part. There's street parking, a back parking lot, a parking lot by the strip center (that does have accessible parking, though not technically ADA), and a few other spots. The streets in Irvington can be a little broken, though I typically have no issue getting around. The sidewalks do have curb cuts. The building is older, though pretty workable and on one level. There's a patio that is wheelchair accessible. The employees were all friendly and helpful. You order at the counter by the door. They give you a number and then deliver the food to you. You get your own drink. The dining room has a cool mural in it for Irvington and 3-4 televisions on the wall. This is an older building - so the acoustics lean toward being a bit loud. My meal - a double burger, waffle fries, and an iced tea - came to about $15 without tip (and yes, the credit card machine asks you to tip). They do also serve beer and wine. The food was quite good. and the serving size was fine. This was a very easy 4-star experience for me with service being a highlight, food being very good, atmosphere being good, and pricing being about average. It's almost but not quite a 5 for me. The burger struck me as somewhat similar to what used to be available at Irvington's The Mug, though I preferred this one a bit. I will most definitely return in the future. Next time, I'll probably sit on the patio to get that experience.

Yelp
The problem started with the woman taking the order! I was there on 10/4 around 5pm and was excited to try for the first time. I got the original and a dry, along with a side order of loaded fries. They brought me a burger, fry- that was loaded and no other fries.. they remake that only to bring out just a burger and a loaded fry, so I was short one, which is annoying to keep dealing with. The burgers are ok but kind of soggy, and no one wants to pay over $15 for a soggy burger- unless that's just your thing. I also only can sit outside, as it smells like a mildew filled basement, but again others didn't seem to mind so maybe that's just some people's cup of tea!

Yelp
This is a fresh, new restaurant in the Irvington area. There is free street parking and a small private lot on the side to park. The restaurant has a decent sized covered patio out front and 2 sections of indoor dining. The section of indoor dining by the register has bar seating that looks out of the window and tables and chairs. The other section of the dining area is a bit larger and has a television, tables and chairs. There is hip, trendy music playing throughout the dining areas. The staff here is awesome. They were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves sandwiches, salads, exotic smash burgers and soft serve. They also serve beer on tap and canned. They do not have table service. You place your order at the counter and then they bring it to your table, if you are dining in. A lot of items caught my eye on the menu, but I went with the Mean Tajin and a side of waffle fries. It took about 12 minutes for me to get my food. The food was ok. My waffle fries were a bit too crunchy for my taste and the my burger was not as flavorful as I expected. It was good, not great. It was a lot of food. I got a double patties and I was full. I was also looking forward to some lemonade, as I am not a huge soda drinker. The lemonade was out, but they were apologetic about not having any and I was told that the truck was coming later today. I really wanted to like this place more. And it has a lot of potential. A 3.5 rating would probably be more accurate, but that is not possible, so I think that it was closer to a 4 star rating and that is what I went with. This place has a cool vibe and is still a place worth checking out.

Yelp
EXCELLENT burgers! The fries are fine. You order the burgers by the patty and a patty is 1/4 pound. Just order a one patty burger and fries and you'll be full. I went with two patties and that was a mistake. The burger was HUGE! They have lunch specials from 11-3 and happy hour specials from 3-6 that are pretty good. Bonuses: they have TV's for sports and a jukebox for tunes. The staff was tremendous. They couldn't have done a better job.

Yelp
I'll be the first to say that Indianapolis has an abundance of burger restaurants, so I don't give a five-star rating lightly. We had an amazing experience at Smash'd Burger Bar. Service was quick and the portions are generous for the price. We both ordered single burgers and were pleasantly surprised by the large size. They have both classic and unique menu options - the PB&J burger caught my eye for a future visit. I loved the Cheesy Bacon burger and my husband was happy with the Sleepy Hollow he ordered. One thing to think about before you go: We ordered a pineapple dole whip which we got right away and snacked on before we got our meals. In the future, I'd probably ask to get that with my meal or order separately afterwards so I can enjoy a sweet treat at the end instead of starting with it. Looking for a non-burger or have dietary restrictions? They can make any burger with grilled chicken or a Beyond patty and sub a Gluten Free bun for an extra charge. They offer sandwich and salad options, which is a nice addition and they have a kids menu so your whole family can enjoy. Smash'd is the perfect addition to Irvington's sweet historic neighborhood. It lived up to the hype for me and I hope it does for you as well!
