"The cozy, performance spacey-y yin to sibling Smith Commons’ glossy wood-paneled yang, Smith Public Trust invites everyone to just savor the moment. Beers are typically local — Atlas Brew Works and 3 Stars are well represented — the food eclectic (from pupusas with curtido to ginger miso ramen) and the vibe relaxed." - Warren Rojas

I only had drinks and a grilled cheese. When I got there they were 30 minutes away from closing for a private party. Drinks were ok as well as the sandwich.

Great space, clean and good decent food. Customer service could improve, you get the vibe that the people behind the bar doesn't want to be there and very distracted, they need to be more attentive. Be careful and check your receipts before paying though. Upon closing our tab, they AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED 20% gratuity for a table of 2 people, maybe because it was Superbowl Sunday, but really though? We don't have a problem with giving 20% but It would have been ok if they let us know they were going to do it, and not try to be sneaky about it.

We held my son's 13th birthday party here. The staff was friendly and helpful hosts for our event. The food was good and overall we were pleased with our decision. This wasn't my first experience. Every time I have been here has been satisfying. Thanks!

Great ambiance. Food is pretty good. Had the Philly Cheese Whiz with fries! Delicious. Drinks are also very good and reasonably priced. Lots of great events and you're able to book the space as well. Was attending an Open Mic and the place was packed and everyone was having a great time!

This is a super reliable spot to pop into if you're in the neighborhood! Everyone working here is really nice and makes you feel welcome to the neighborhood, which is cool because you can tell this place has a lot of regulars. The food is just okay but there's a good beer selection and lots of room for larger groups.

We went here for dinner on a Friday evening. It is definitely a popular place, and most of the seats were taken, but we were able to borrow the end of a long table from a friendly party that wasn't using the whole thing. There was a haze about the place which added an air of authenticity, but did not smell smoky at all. The menu is pretty diverse, and the drink menu offers a wide variety of beers and fun cocktails. We ordered the nachos with the pork and a fancy grilled cheese, and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to claim that this meal was the single best grilled cheese I've ever had (the bacon and the cherry peppers didn't hurt!), and right up there with the best nachos I've ever had. And the prices are shockingly low considering how good the food is. I was afraid, after seeing the prices, that either the food wasn't going to be good or I wouldn't be served much of it. Neither were true. If you're living in Brookland or visiting a friend in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and check this place out.
