Smitten Ice Cream Review - Mission - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Walking into Smitten Ice Cream feels like stepping into a science lab. “Brrristas” (yes, that’s what they’re called here), pour cups of pastel liquids into stainless steel bowls before huge machines whir to life, pumping liquid nitrogen and spinning your ice cream into existence. The whole process takes about two fog-filled minutes to create ice cream so smooth, you could spread it on toast. This Mission location (and its other location in San Jose) offer a small menu with Smitten constants (vanilla, chocolate, and cookie dough) and a few seasonal flavors. No matter what you order, get a waffle cone or bowl (they’re made throughout the day) and enjoy your scoops while people-watching from their Valencia St. parklet." - Patrick Wong

Best Restaurants at Santana Row and Valley Fair in San Jose | Eater SF

"Located on the edge of the Plaza de Valencia with its cow-sized chameleon statues, Smitten Ice Cream offers some of the best people-watching views of Santana Row. Not your run-of-the-mill parlor, Smitten serves ice cream churned to order ensuring fresh flavor and silky smooth texture. The Brr Machine, an invention by the shop’s founder Robyn Sue Fisher, turns locally sourced ingredients into pure creamy goodness in 90 seconds flat. In the early days, Robyn placed her device in a little red wagon and wheeled it up and down the streets of San Francisco — but after growing a cult-like following, her operation got a whole lot less bare bones. Today, her handful of brick-and-mortar operations serve exploratory flavors like Earl Grey with chocolate chips, cheesecake, and American pie to dessert foodies across the Bay." - Johanna Harlow

Google
Customer service is rough. They also don’t always get your order right. The ice cream itself is pretty good though. What really annoyed me was that they give you half a teaspoon of sprinkles for an additional 1.50. Like seriously? Not smitten.

Google
This was my first time visiting this ice cream shop, and it was such a great experience! The glass panels really brighten the atmosphere, adding a nice touch. I was helped by an employee named Toby—he was a wonderful gentleman with a great smile and a contagious laugh. With so many amazing flavors to choose from, it was hard to decide, but thankfully, Toby’s fantastic recommendations made it easy. This will definitely be my go to sweet treat spot!

Google
Fantastic ice cream here at Smitten! My first impression was that the price point was high, but after tasting the product I can understand why!! So rich, creamy and flavorful. Mix-ins were abundant, too. We tried 4 different flavors and all were excellent. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite ice cream spots 🤩 We came on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed our treat with live music in the square as well. A fun spot with lots to walk around and see!

Google
Strange experience. The girl at the counter was having a verbal showdown with the lady in front of us. I knew they didn’t do samples but I can’t believe you can’t even get 2 different scoops of ice scream put on one cup even if I ordered 2 different favors. (Not being able to mix and match is like 2/5 stars in my opinion.) But I was flabbergasted that the icecream itself that was like 9 dollars is so bad. I got blood orange and pomegranate. I tasted no pomegranate and the orange flavor was extremely weak. Cute exterior but I would never come back.

Google
I had my first experience at Smitten Ice Cream and I’m hooked. They make your ice cream fresh to order, so it’s incredibly creamy and smooth. I tried the birthday cake flavor, and it tasted just like the real thing. The staff is super friendly and takes the time to explain the ice cream-making process, which adds a personal touch. The shop itself is small but beautifully designed, with a cozy, minimalist vibe.

Google
Great Ice Cream shop in the vicinity of Santana row. They have all basic flavors. I only tried plain Vanilla and that was really creamy and good. Will try more flavors later. They have floats and Sundae’s too.

Google
Today was my first time trying their ice cream. I took vanilla cone. It is way beyond I imagined. Very delicious very genuine and the milk was the pure and creamy in that ice cream. The handsome young man behind the Register was very nice to me because I visually impaired and I couldn't read the menu. He was very helpful. Thank you,

Alisa B.

Google
The ice cream is incredibly smooth! I got the Cookie Dough with Pretzels, which has a brown sugar base. Very creamy and the flavors are subtle. The fillings don't distract from the ice cream itself. I love that you can watch them churn the ice cream with liquid nitrogen in real time. I think the menu could use a bigger variety, but otherwise - it's very tasty! On a Friday at opening (1 PM), there was a line. Quite a popular spot among the many dessert options at Santana Row and Valley Fair. Their waffle cones seem to be a fan favorite!!

Yelp
I decided to visit Smitten with a friend on a warm Monday evening to cool off. While I had been once before without much excitement, this visit was delightful. My friend opted for the brookies 'n cream in a waffle bowl, while I chose the cookie dough with pretzels and chocolate chips, also in a waffle bowl topped with chocolate crispies. We both enjoyed the brookies 'n cream! Ice cream came out in a timely manner as well. It was a pleasant day to indulge in some dessert, and there were ample tables and chairs for us to relax and chat. I had such a great experience this time that I returned to try the salted caramel cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious!

Yelp
It was just perfect weather for some ice cream. We got coconut and chocolate. I mean what else I can say about smitten ice cream? Just fresh, light and creamy all in one of kind of ice cream. They are located in Santana row back plaza little green area super cute. The person who was helping us was super friendly. I wasn't happy with my main lunch at baekjung today, glad I was able to get some of these ice cream! I was busy eating didn't get to take pictures.

Yelp
I am absolutely in love with the Lavender grey butterfly Tea Quinoa .Smitten has introduced this ice cream for the pride month. Not sure if this flavor of ice cream is available in the month of July or not. This was my first introduction to Lavendra flavor ice-cream with almond coating and this taste is strong enough to stay in one's mind. They were quite quick with their service. I would love to visit this place for another scoop in the coming week.

Yelp
Located in Santana Row near the cute chameleon outdoor area, Smitten specializes in freshly churned/made with liquid nitrogen ice cream (have NOT seen this trend since before the rolled ice cream trend which means this was AGES ago). They currently had a special flavor for AAPI, the pineapple teacake, which I would have LOVED to try, but I guess since they make their ice cream with that liquid nitrogen machine it was only available in pint form and as an out of towner, this was not possible sadly. I got a scoop of Ube Coconut on a waffle sundae bowl. It's a vanilla scented ube flavor with sweet coconut flakes on top. Honestly felt like it was made to be more palatable for the Western/American palate or at least more familiar since it tasted more coconut vanilla than any other ube flavor that I've had at an ice cream place before. I DID, however, really enjoyed the waffle bowl. It wasn't dry and had some chewy texture to it. Nice, sweet and yummy.
google avatar

Elisa G.

Yelp
The Uber coconut ice cream is a 5 star flavor and it's so rich and flavorful! It's in the middle of Santana Row and you can see them making the ice cream makes my mouth water. I also tried the strawberry cream which has jam in it. It's quite unique.
google avatar

Yelp
Smitten Ice Cream is one of my favorite ice cream spots. It's in Santana Row and during the winter, it can be chilly to sit outside. It is a stall and they make the ice cream by hand. You can see the window where they show you how they make it and the staff is really cool. Their selection changes by the season and one scoop can cost around $6-8 depending on what you want. I got the double mint chip, which tasted minty and fresh. It is one of my favorite flavors. There are a few tables and chairs where you can sit and eat.

Yelp
It was my first time ordering at Smitten! Treated my friends to some delicious frozen dessert to celebrate our friend Audrey's birthday last night! The staff was super friendly and accommodating, providing a bday discount for the bday girl and extra cups and spoons for her bday cake! Was a great time out and yummy treats to close out our evening!

Yelp
I ventured to this popular ice cream spot on a bustling Friday night, keen to try something close to my beloved Cookies 'N Cream. Opting for the "Brookies 'N Cream," I found it to be a pleasant alternative, though not exceptional. The wait was about 10 minutes, which is understandable given the crowd, but I did find the portion a bit small for the price. The ice cream itself was tasty with delightful brownie chunks that stood out in flavor, adding a nice touch to each bite. The cone was standard; nothing to write home about but did the job well enough. Despite these minor quibbles, the overall quality of the ice cream was good, making it a decent place to satisfy your sweet tooth.
google avatar

Yelp
Second time trying Smitten Ice Cream! I went on a Saturday night. There was a small line but the wait was not significant. I believe I got the brookie's cream. It was my favorite flavor! I got a regular size which includes two scoops. For reference, the small includes only one scoop. Unfortunately, there are not enough covers to enjoy the ice cream under the rain, so my friends and I enjoyed our ice cream under an umbrella. Parking is limited to local garages in Santana Row. I will come again!
google avatar

Mandy L.

Yelp
This place is located outside of Maggiano's Little Italy and Starbucks in Santana Row. There is also nice seating right in front of the store. They have limited flavors and they also provide vegan options. I ordered a small scoop of the Brookies n' Cream and waited less than 3 minutes to get my order. The service was quick and friendly! Watching the ice cream being made was fun to watch. The ice cream was creamy and melted in my mouth. However, I didn't really seem to catch any cookies or brownies in my ice cream despite it mentioning it was folded in the sweet cream, so I was a little disappointed :( I would revisit and try their other flavors when I get the chance!
google avatar

Katie D.

Yelp
I waited over an hour for my ice cream and checked in over three times to see if my order was in progress. Each time, I was told that the order is not ready yet. By the hour mark, I was sure my order was forgotten and I asked again. This time, they made sure I got my order soon afterward. Wait time aside, ice cream is delicious. Next time, I would order another flavor because I did not like how the pretzels were soggy in my ice cream.

Yelp
Smitten always has good ice cream and great options for seasonal flavors! It's in a convenient plaza with various restaurants on Santana Row and a nice outdoor space to eat your ice cream in. Sometimes there's a bit of a line, but it never takes too long to get your ice cream. Here's their seasonal pumpkin spice which was pretty good, but as always with my dessert reviews, too sweet for my palate. Between Smitten and Salt & Straw across the street though, I think I've typically preferred Salt & Straw's seasonal flavors.
google avatar

Annie K.

Yelp
I love the ice cream here!! The nitrogen creates ice cream that is nice and hard though it does melt. The Roasted banana is our favorite here but i also tried the I choose love which is strawberry and it is pretty good too. Def recommend!!
google avatar

Phillip R.

Yelp
Usually have something decent to say but, tried to wait it out. We kept popping in and out by the window patiently waiting our turn. Half an hour of waiting we finally check. Asked the associate if our ice cream is ready and she said yes. They didn't call the name but no one answered. What..?! Ok, I'll just leave it at that. Not a happy customer but, kids got his fix.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
Smitten ice cream it's so delicious. I got the brookies and cream and that was loaded with cookies and brownies. I love the ice cream here so much. It is so fresh creamy and full of unique flavors. Great location of ice cream. Grab a scoop and walk around stare at people, what more could you want in life? Recommend a spot for some ice cream and will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been eyeing it for months now and finally gave it a try. The workers were nice. The area where it's located in, Santana Row, is family and dog friendly and gorgeous. I love ice cream so much and love trying different places. This ice cream however I was slightly unimpressed in. The price for a single scoop was $6.50 after taxes and it wasn't even that great. The texture was weird. I feel like I was eating glue. I've never really been to an ice shop that I really regretted buying.
google avatar

Helen V.

Yelp
The ice cream was creamy and delicious with bits of brownie and cookie dough mixed throughout. You could tell they make the ice cream fresh from looking inside the window. Service was quick and the workers were nice and friendly.
google avatar

Joanne D.

Yelp
Cookie Dough with Pretzels & Chocolate Chips is my go-to flavor at Smitten! There's so much texture within the ice cream, I love it. Service was fast and there's no line which is expected because I went on a weekday. Rain or shine, I will eat ice cream regardless
google avatar

Mehrnaz H.

Yelp
Always enjoy Smitten individually made cup of ice cream and their creative flavors. Stopped by on another hot summer evening and tried their Brookies & cream as well as the Earl Grey with chocolate chip bits. Both yummy and freshly made. Don't let the line scare you as it moves fast, we got our ice cream within 10 min of going on the line. Well done and hats off to the crew.
google avatar

Eme E.

Yelp
Enjoyed our ice cream after dinner, glad that they stay open pretty late 11:00pm on a Friday night. Not a huge variety which is nice for some people so they don't have a hard time deciding our family of 6 ordered different flavors so we were able to try most flavors The original classic flavors chocolate and vanilla was delicious and fresh to order ice cream was very creamy. The Brookies and cream which is a classic of cookies and cream and added brownies was a great combination. While my daughter ordered the cookie dough which was amazing had pretzels which added a great flavor to sweet and salty. Love that all are made to order and the service was quick! Great location would recommend while in Santana row and is looking for a craving of sweet tooth this is your spot! The best warm cooked to order waffle cone! Taste great...
google avatar

Annabelle R.

Yelp
Nice setting in Santana Row, with a bit of outdoor seating. Got a scoop of the double mint chip in a cup, and it was delicious but not necessarily worth the wait on a Saturday evening. It wasn't super long, but we had a small group and a few items were ready at the pick up counter within a few minutes, and the others 10-12 minutes later when people were already finishing their desserts. I guess it's cool watching the churning of the ice cream through the window for our amusement, but I think they could be a little more mindful about serving items for groups so that we can actually enjoy our treats more closely together and in a timely manner. On a more positive note, they offer vegan desserts here for those with dietary restrictions, great for my vegan friend. She described the vegan fudge pop as creamy and tasty :)
google avatar

Cathy B.

Yelp
You can never go wrong w smitten ice cream! Their ice cream is very creamy and made fresh to order. The staff is friendly. The line may seem long but they're very quick and so worth the wait Came on a sunny Sunday, there was 5 people infront of us but only took them 10ish mins to get our ice cream. I got the early grey mint chip and my boyfriend got the cookie dough pretzel. Both so delicious. There was a band outside and we enjoyed the music while eating our ice cream!
google avatar

Lakwan H.

Yelp
I would always see this ice cream place down by Santana Row but usually on the weekends in the evenings, the line would be long so I've never really tried it. I was in the area this past weekend and decided to finally try the ice cream. The service was good, the cashier was nice and I got my ice cream pretty quickly. They have seating outside and around the area so finding a place to sit is not necessarily hard. I tried the brookie and cream and was not totally in love. The ice cream had way too many chunks in it than my liking. However, the flavors were good so if you like your ice cream filled with different chunks of flavor then I would say go for it. I would be open to trying their vanilla ice cream.
google avatar

Yelp
Nitrogen ice cream is a new-ish take on an old classic. This small shop finds itself smack dab in the middle of Santana Row, making it a convenient location for a quick ice cream fix - at Santana Row prices, of course. I really enjoyed the unique flavors that Smitten offers! The brookies and cream adds brownies to your standard ice cream flavor, a true contemporary twist on a timeless original. While it is a fantastic addition, at the end of the day, the ice cream wasn't particularly as smooth or different compared to what you find at other ice cream places. The waffle bowl, however, really feels like a revamped spin on the iconic waffle cone, and it really added a lot to the ice cream experience. Probably one of the best waffle-based ice cream vehicles I've had. An honorary mention to the earl gray with mint chips flavor - tea-based ice creams have great potential, and adding the mint chips is an amazing updated variation of a well-loved standard. Definitely a standout flavor, but overall the Smitten experience was simply satisfactory. If the flavors appeal to you, it can easily become a staple.

Yelp
I had a mixed experience. While they had some good options, they also had some bad ones. Let's start with the good. The flavor selection was limited but interesting, ranging from classic options like chocolate and vanilla to more unique flavors like Roasted banana. My partner LOVED the salted caramel flavor. The waffle cones were definitely a highlight. They were freshly made and had a delicious, crispy texture that complemented the ice cream perfectly. There were also some negatives to be noted. The quality of the ice cream was inconsistent. While some flavors were creamy and delicious, others were icy and lacked flavor. I did not like my choice of Candy Bar (i believe it was coconut and almond) but maybe I just made a bad choice. Also the portions were a bit on the smaller end based on the prices. The service can typically be slow and disorganized, with long wait times and mixed up orders. (They got my order wrong, but were kind and quick to fix it). I got lucky with no wait, possibly because it was a late Tuesday night! Despite the drawbacks, I would recommend it for ice cream lovers who are willing to take a chance on trying different flavors. Just be prepared for some hits and misses, and be patient with the service.
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
I like Smitten ice cream! Their nitrogen ice cream is incredibly smooth and very rich. Their flavors are also more traditional than, say, Salt and Straw, but I think that's better for me because a lot of times I really don't want exotic stone fruit ice cream or bourbon etc. I mostly prefer Oreo, brownie, etc. This one is located in Santana Row in a little square. There is some seating on the lawn.
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Yummy ice cream! They have a very different way of making the ice cream, and it's cool to watch. I like the strawberry and cookie dough with pretzels. Their ice cream has a clean taste and is satisfying, but the scoops could be a little bigger for the price.
google avatar

Ellen B.

Yelp
I've eaten ice-cream here twice and love it! to be honest, there are not many flavors to choose from. the flavors that are on the menu are really good, the ice-cream is served fast.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
The strawberry ice cream was tasty and it was fun to watch the process of it being made. We ordered a single scoop and the micro spoon was perfect because we were sharing and any bigger of a spoon would've had the small amount gone in four bites! All ice cream flavors have egg so our egg-allergy little couldn't try it but I was glad to see they at least had a vegan fudge bar. Would've liked to see allergy friendly ice cream. The single scoop was $6 which was pretty pricy but with it being so fresh, I thought it was ok.

Dorothy C.

Yelp
I loooove the ice cream here and decided to buy a pint to take home and enjoy over a few days. However, about 2/3 of the way through my pint, I bit into a piece of rubber or foam-- YIKES! No clue what it is, or why it's in there, and what it means for the food safety of the entire batch.
google avatar

Jorge G.

Yelp
Making a scoop of ice cream is not difficult. There are 4 flavors, the most complex of which is 3 other ingredients besides the ice cream itself. I ordered a scoop that was supposed to have pretzels, cookie dough, and chocolate chips. The first scoop has big pieces of pretzels, and chucks of cookie dough. But no chocolate chips. So I went back and asked them to make it again. The second scoop had mini chocolate chips sprinkled on top, and pop-rock sized pretzel pieces. But no cookie dough.
google avatar

Jaky Y.

Yelp
Love Smitten! I've been to a few of their locations and love how creamy, rich, and smooth their ice cream is. We got the mint chip (my favorite) and the brookie flavor; both were great. Price is also very reasonable given their location in Santana Row, especially compared to what other creameries charge (ex: Salt & Straw). Definitely worth stopping by next time you're in the area!
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
The ice cream was so yummy and delicious it was fresh made with waffle bowl and spice crunch oh my Jesus it's too good to stop
google avatar

Angellica S.

Yelp
After a delicious dinner, what other way to have dessert than a cup (or waffle cone) of smitten ice cream?! Loved Smitten in SF (mission), and loved it here (Santana Row). Fun flavors and all great to try. So fun for the kids to see them mix the freshest ice cream through the glass windows. Perfect place for the kids to run free while enjoying some ice cream.
google avatar

Erich L.

Yelp
Good flavors. I especially like the freshly made waffle cone. Quick easy place for ice cream in the outdoor part of the shopping center. No vegan ice cream options.
google avatar

Tom L.

Yelp
I don't get the hype at all. I waited almost 30 minutes on a Friday night at Santa Row. With a wait like that the ice cream better be good, no it better be great.... But was it? Nope. It was pretty average. The staff here are extremely rude. They were hassling the couple in front of me about mixing flavors.... why is it a problem to mix flavors at an ice cream store???
google avatar

Matt L.

Yelp
- fast service - good ice cream Ordered the bookies and cream with Carmel sauce on top. It was creamy and had a unique flavor with the added Carmel. The service is fast and the pricing is worth it. Would very much want to try the other flavors. Only negatives are the long lines and the root beer float is just served as two scoops of ice cream in a cup and they give you a bottle of root beer.
google avatar

Henry L.

Yelp
Sometimes I stop by this place after a good workout. All the ice cream here is made fresh, and you can see the process through the window at any time. They have bowl and waffle options. The Sea salt and caramel is a true classic. Start here if it is your first time. Note that the ice cream here runs a little more sweet compared to other vendors. You can also take home a pint of your favorite flavor. Seating is outdoors.
google avatar

Marivic N.

Yelp
Mmm ice cream on a cold night? Why not! Came here to Santana Row to meet a few friends and have a quick treat. This has been here for a couple of years now and they really have good flavors. The ice cream is really creamy, and made fresh in front of the windows that they have. I ordered the Brookies n Cream since I love cookies and cream anything so this definitely hit the spot. Always a great place when you have that sweet tooth and need something refreshing
google avatar

Karissa R.

Yelp
I remember going to another location years ago and really enjoying it. But I was a little disappointed in my experience this time around. This place is located in Santana Row and you walk up to the window to order your ice cream. There's limited seating outside. I chose Peppermint Chip which is their seasonal flavor and it didn't taste like it at all. It tasted plain and more like a regular mint flavor and there were barely any chocolate chips in it. It was about $7.50 for this single scoop in a waffle bowl. Although the quality of the ice cream was good and the waffle tasted nice and crispy, it was just too overpriced for the portion I got.
google avatar

Sabrina N.

Yelp
The ice cream is okay.... Can't really taste the uniqueness of the flavor like say at Salt and Straw. It wasn't any thing special and just didn't seem worth the price. The sundae on the menu says $11 but when I ordered, the cashier asked me how many scoops I wanted. I was kind of confused--- I assumed it was a predetermined amount, not a "small" sundae vs a "large" sundae. If you order 3 scoops it comes out to nearly $15. Thank goodness I only ordered 2 mediocre scoops for $12 something. Waffle cone was pre made and bland-- thank goodness I dropped some on the ground so I didn't have to finish it. FYI: if you order any size ice cream you can't order two different flavors-- all the scoops have to be the same flavor.

Yelp
During our short stay in the Bay we loved this place so much we went back back. Smitten was introduced to us by my friend's husband who kept saying it was his favorite ice cream spot. So my husband made us all go. It did not disappoint. With the first bite I was in love. I love the hint of saltiness that Smitten puts in their ice cream. I have tried the vanilla, brookies n cream, and cookie dough w pretzel bits & chocolate chip. All are amazing. I would say brookies n cream is my favorite. It has the perfect sweetness and creaminess level. Their handmade waffles are also good. The only thing I do not like about Smitten is you cannot combined flavors. WTF. You can get two scoops of the same flavor but they do not allow you to put different ones together. Why?! Their menu is also pretty basic. There are 6 different flavors to choose from and they have a seasonal menu that changes time to time. This location is just a stand but there is limited outdoor seating.
google avatar

Valerie S.

Yelp
Located conveniently in the heart of Santana Row, Smitten ice cream offers a perfect solution for your ice cream cravings during errands or post-dinner outings at nearby restaurants. Following a dinner, my boyfriend and I opted for Smitten instead of our usual Salt & Straw visit, enticed by his enthusiasm for their vegan fudge pops. The brookie's & cream and the vegan fudge bar were both delightful; the creamy texture and well-blended toppings were impressive. Despite the limited flavor selection, if Smitten expanded its offerings, it would easily become my preferred ice cream shop!
google avatar

Lindsey P.

Yelp
Attempted to visit on 3 separate occasions and have checked Yelp for their hours before doing so and on all 3 occasions, they were closed before said time........ unreliable
google avatar

Jason A.

Yelp
Got the pint of cookie dough to-go. This ice cream is quite special. Heard the way they make it is original and patented. Definitely on my top list of ice cream places in the bay!
google avatar

Ritchie A.

Yelp
Vanilla is my favorite here! Customer service is okay! Nice outside seating area! Long lines but worth it.

Sara S.

Yelp
(Location) Situated in Santana Row, Smitten is a charming little ice cream shop. (Wait Time) At 8:00 pm on a Thursday, the line appeared very long, but to our surprise, it moved swiftly, and our ice cream was served within just 10 minutes of placing the order. (Food) Utilizing a Brrr® Machine, Smitten creates the world's finest ice cream in about 90 seconds, using nitrogen to perfect the texture. We chose a scoop of 61% Guittard chocolate and were thoroughly impressed. The chocolate's taste was not overpowering or overly sweet; it was perfectly balanced, and we enjoyed the smooth and creamy texture. *Do note that the vanilla ice cream contains "alcohol," and the only downside is the limitation to choose more than one flavor.* (Service) The friendly staff patiently assisted me in making my decision and even asked for my name when I placed my order.
google avatar

Stella K.

Yelp
One of the things I like about Smitten is being able to see them make the ice cream. They offer ice cream served in cups, waffle cones or waffle bowls. Each ice cream is made to order with their machines using liquid nitrogen. It's fun for kids to watch. I find it's easier to observe this at their Fillmore San Francisco location (on California Street) because you can get up closer to watch. My daughter noticed this, too. She still enjoyed her ice cream from this location. The only bummer was that she couldn't get Earl Grey flavor since it wasn't offered on the day we last visited. We got 2 Mixed Berries & Cream and 1 Brookies & Cream. Both flavors were pretty good. This location is an outdoor stand or kiosk, where you order from outside. It is not an indoor shop. There is no indoor seating and there are no restrooms. There's some seating outside nearby and also on the grass. It was a bit crowded on the day we were there because of the beautiful warm weather. And it was unfortunate that there was a large group present, on the grassy area, blasting loud religious music from speakers they brought with them. Perhaps it was their attempt to proselytize people? It really ruined the ambiance of the area.

Yelp
Loved all the chunks and creamy base in their Brookies N Cream for the best of both world! Mixed Berries & Cream was smooth and the fruitiness hit just right - a perfect mix! Super yummy choices and the vibes are immaculate with the outdoor area, great choice for a dessert to cool off with!

Yelp
Smitten used to be one of my favorite ice cream parlors but with the inflation + smaller portion sizes, I was disappointed with the visit. I expected a bigger portion since I paid nearly $6, but my scoop didn't even reach the lip of the cup (see image). Visited at 9pm and there was still a long line. I ordered a small cup of cookie dough w/ pretzels + chocolate chips. The ice cream was good, but it was pricey ($5.75 for a small cup).
