Great spot for tasty BBQ with some unusual twists.. The salmon is moist and perfectly done, delicious baked beans, and side plates and starters to share. Nice selection of draft beers. Attentive staff and great service. Will definitely go back to taste more.

This BBQ restaurant recently opened. First time eating here and the service was friendly and staff were genuinely helpful. Their hospitality was far better than the canned “welcome to [insert name of business]” that so often is the minimum. The food is cared for and even with an atypical day of slow smoking BBQ the day after Thanksgiving, the meats were tender and juicy. The brisket was great with plenty of bark. Same with the pulled pork. The Moho chicken wasn’t dry and the flavor was a good change and quite excellent. Slaw and hush puppies were uncommonly good with flavors that have been crafted with the right amount of variation from the “typical” recipes while staying close to what I expect for those sides. I’ve kept the accolades toned down or this review will go on for too long, but this was a really great experience with great food.

First thing when you walk in, you see them aging meat before smoking on the grille. The food here unlocked a lot of flavor profiles that worked in perfect harmony with their different selections. Everything was fried/smoked 💯 to perfection. That fried Mac and cheese square stole the show with just one word"Savory." The BBQ sauce is an original signature taste that is complimentary to the brisket and rib tips. Service is world class. Atmosphere is welcoming with plenty of seating. This restaurant has been officially charged as best new BBQ spot in Las Vegas and Henderson. Will be back!!!

Best customer service. BBQ is the best I have tasted in a long time. You have to get your order in before the meat is gone. You have to get the fried apple pie. Its like a McDonald's pie with steroids and it's fried. Come here early and leave filled happy and have leftovers maybe.

The first BBQ in Vegas that compares to Texas BBQ. The only reason I discovered this place was because I was talking smack about how Vegas has no good BBQ that compares to Texas. Conversation led to seeing a new BBQ joint (SMKD BBQ) so we had to go try it immediately. We tried the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and ribs as the meat. All meats* were 10/10 for flavor, tenderness, texture, and quality. *Note I did not have the ribs but the restaurant and fiancée said they were bomb but I can only speak for the 3 meats I had. 3 of the 4 sides were bomb. Beans, kugel, and potato salad slapped and highly recommend. The other side I am biased on was the mac and cheese. Not a big fan of macaroni and cheese to begin but thought it could have had more of a flavor profile like smoked paprika or a little more salt. Step son and fiancée ate everything else but the mac and cheese. I love the atmosphere, service, beverage options, location, and of course the food. Cannot wait to come back to have more and try some new sides and desserts! Overall this is your best option to Texas BBQ in Vegas and I can’t recommend enough.

It was delicious! Definitely one of the good spots! We’re a family of two adults and a one-year-old, and the total was around $70, which is a bit on the pricey side compared to other places. The seasoning is on the sweeter side overall, which I personally liked a lot 🥰 All the servers were friendly and kind. The restaurant was clean and not sticky at all. From the photos I thought the portions looked a little small, but once we actually started eating, it was plenty and we all got full. The taste matched the price totally worth it 🫰 The cookie I had at the end was incredibly good! Ever since I came to the U.S., I kept running into cookies that were way too sweet, so it was hard to find one that truly tasted good. But this one was so delicious it made my eyes go wide!🥰🥰🥰 Gene, you are absolutely the best!! Thank you for making my day and bringing me so much happiness!

Fabulous BBQ. The marble cornbread was heavenly. Macaroni and cheese was perfect not overly cheesy and perfect consistency. The meats were amazingly delicious. But that cornbread though, oof!!

Just pulled into town and was craving smoked wings. I could not have found a better place. The smoker is going out front. Everyone there is incredibly friendly. The wings were on point! Went back up for some ribs. If you enjoy BBQ, you should come here.

We had the pleasure of dining at the new restaurant on Eastern in the Lee's Liquor on Eastern tonight. I have to say it was excellent it really reminded us of our time enjoying Texas bbq! The beef brisket and their side of beans, yum! The sauces available only made the dishes. The staff and owners were so friendly, we felt like home. They have an active to go business as well as their dine in. The smokers run just out front so you know its authentic. We'll be back, next time for more brisket and also their ribs. it's definitely worth a visit! Prices are reasonable as well.

We love bbq and they have a lot of creative and great options. The staff was really friendly and did a great job checking on us. Love the modern look and cleanliness. Planning on coming back this weekend for sure.

I really enjoyed the food here! From the burgers to the fries, brisket, and ribs were all really solid. The staff was also really friendly and helpful to. When me and my friends walked in, we were immediately greeted and guided over to a table. Overall, very good and can't wait for them to open up more restaurants around Vegas!

We had dinner at the newly opened SMKD BBQ. The food was amazing. We had the French Dip sandwich and a 2 meat, 2 side combo. The meat was so tender and delicious as I knew it would be. What was a surprise was the friendly service. Every single employee made us feel welcome and special. We will definitely be back and will keep them mind for catering needs.

Basically drooling as I write this... Checked out SMKD because all of the neighborhood and foodie FB groups in the area were popping up with rave reviews about this place. After trying it out, I can confidently say that the hype is real. My fiancé's from Kansas and is extremely picky about bbq. He was obsessed with everything we got, including the mac n cheese, which he's normally not keen on. For me, these were my favorite ribs I've had in a long time--they were fall off the bone tender and extremely flavorful. Everything was a hit, from the app (onion dip) to the dessert (banana pudding). The service was also top notch. This spot has the friendliest staff ever. I was extremely impressed and have already recommended SMKD to family and friends!

How a place can take good ol backyard BBQ to the level SMKD has is beyond me. Sweet potato hush puppies, smashed burgers, chopped pork rib sandwich, ribs, brisket, mac and cheese, veggies...everything has been taken to the next level and we have yet to be disappointed with anything we've tried. Their staff is equally amazing! They are always so warm and welcoming. As soon as that door opens you're greeted with a big smile and a happy hello. There's plenty of seats to choose from too and the music in the background is perfect for the setting. It was also a nice surprise to hear that they sponsor the local high school wrestling team around the corner. It's always nice to see small businesses give back to the community that gives to them.

Rounded my 3.5 to a 4 rating. This place seems like a small family own business? But the service was amazing. We were constantly checked up upon by the workers. There's ample seating when we came. We ordered at the kiosk and the food was dropped off to us at our table. We ordered the 4+4 combo which came with 4 meats, 4 sides, 2 drinks for about 70 dollars which was not too bad. Our favorite cuts were probably the brisket and pastrami. The burnt ends were also good but we were given 3 blobs of fat. So ended up only getting maybe 5 pieces of burnt ends. The chopped pork was kinda dry sadly. Their sauces were good but a bit water for my preference. Our favorite side was prob the Mac but it did lack some flavor. I ended up putting some bbq sauce in it to get that flavor in. The potato salad also lacked the flavor I was looking for. It kinda just tasted like dill and mayo. Overall the food wasn't bad but some meats were dry and there was no standouts for the sides. But service was very accommodating and friendly!

SMKD BBQ is a very good BBQ restaurant located in Henderson. This restaurant is brought to you by Bravo Top Chef Alex Resnick (who was actually working there on a Sunday Holiday Weekend). I noticed that they have lots of outside tables and inside are a variety of traditional tables and a few booths. We were warmly greeted by someone who might be the manager. He also took our order but the whole team sort of served us. We shared a four meat plate that came with four sides. We shared Brisket, Chicken, Salmon, Pastrami, and our sides were Macaroni and Cheese, Sweet Potato Hush Puppies, Red Beets and Carrots, and Kugel. The platter arrived quickly and was garnished with a very nice salad with sweet tomatoes, pickle slices, and hot pepper slices. I'm am pleased to say that everything was good and for my taste some things were PHENOMENAL. The Mojo BBQ Chicken was so amazing and so darn delicious. It also just melted in my mouth. The flavors were OFF THE CHARTS. It might be the best or was one of the best chicken dishes that I've tasted anywhere. The Smoked Salmon was SUPURB. It was smoked to perfection and had that melt in your mouth thing that only the best salmon dishes give you. This was up there with Bouchon. The Kugel was also amazing! The textures, the creamy, the taste. I never had a kugel like that before. This one was the best a kugel can be. Liked the beets and carrots. Also enjoyed the macaroni and cheese, and the sweet potato hush puppies. They are where much better than the sides you get at most BBQ places. Brisket was good but also was the delicate style. (light on the smoke) Pastrami also was light with the smoke and I could tell by looking at it needed one more day to cure but still was good. The house made Snickers Inspired Dessert was also delicious. This BBQ Restaurant is unique and different. Also the sides here are very good and much better than from most BBQ restaurants. I would honestly give 4.5 Stars but Yelp won't let me do that. So I am rounding up to 5 Stars because of the warm welcoming service from the staff and some of the off the charts dishes.

I'm not usually a bbq person, but there quite a few go-to items that I will definitely be returning for. The ribs, pastrami, chopped pork, and brisket were all sensational, but if I had to choose 2 for the combo, I'd say ribs ands pastrami were my favorite. If you decide to go with brisket, I definitely recommend the fatty brisket over the lean. The hush puppies, kale caesar salad, mac & cheese, and fries with the spices were excellent complements to the protein. Finished it off with the snickers bar and the fried apple pie. Both delicious in their own way-- I prefer the snickers bar between the two. -staff are all extremely welcoming and helpful

The food is delicious, the customer service excellent and I'm so stoked to have this place near my house. This is a new restaurant and needs some local love! So swing by and give the burnt ends, ribs, or brisket a try... You'll love it!

I enjoyed the food here and the service was a little funny. One person said they had ribs and another said not until 2 but it was already after 2. Anyways, we had the burnt ends which are worth ordering. So tender and tasty. We also had the brisket which I think didn't even need sauce. I went with the 50/50 fatty/lean. The chicken was a little dry but not bad. The ribs were moist and fell off the bone. I really liked the variety of pickled veggies. The dirty beans were bland. Enjoy the pictures, we're definitely going back. Hard to be a vegetarian or vegan with meat that tastes this good.

First time here tonight. We had the brisket, pastrami, sausage, and ribs for meats. All very tasty, The sausage was really good. For sides we had Mac n cheese, need to be creamier, potato salad really good, beans were delicious, beets and carrots were good too. The waitress closed our order when we were done ordering exit I thought was strange but that made the kitchen think our order was to go. They straightened it out in the end and gave us extra food and free desserts to make up for it. Props to Gene in the front of house for that. Top class, most places would say oh well. The banana pudding was fantastic and the snickers cake was pretty good too. We will definitely be back based just on that extra service.

This is the newest BBQ place in Henderson. Depending on the direction you come from, it can be difficult to find as their signage is being updated but it is worth the look. Upon arrival, I was greeted super warmly by staff and given recommendations that were great. They offer incredibly unique options for sides, which makes them incredibly unique among the BBQ places around such as marble cornbread and sweet potato hush puppies. The restaurant was clean and inviting with an open kitchen. The chef was even interacting with customers about the food. I got the one meat plate with brisket and two sides which were the sweet potato hush puppies and the Mac and cheese. I love that they offered some pickles on the side as it was nice acid to balance out all the richness. The brisket was well smoked and pull apart. The hush puppies were hot and delicious like a sweet donut and the Mac and cheese had good flavor and texture. The marble cornbread was a mix of Ube and cornbread, which also was great with a honey butter. My only real critique was that with the exception of the hush puppies, most of the food was below a hot temperature, which I believe would have made the already good flavor even more. I look forward to returning when they have been open a bit longer to try their pastrami, other sides and desserts, which I couldn't fit in. But I for sure, cleared my entire plate. Thank you for the great welcoming service and the delicious and unique food.

First time in SMKD BBQ and I was not disappointed. It seems to be new restaurant that just open recently. We were here for Veteran's Day meal for my husband. When we chose our meal seletion nice cashier lady told us to choose side and dessert option. Food was very scrumptious. Seating area was spacious and had nice family ambiance in indoor. My buns were toasted with butter so my pulled pork was great. My side was dirty beans and it was on the point. My dessert was banana pudding with chia seeds on it. It was very healthy for my taste. I honestly liked my husband's pie better. :P I am originally from Texas and I really did enjoyed the southern BBQ dish and that was the BEST pie I ever had. And I'm not even an pie person. :)

Went back now that is been open a few more weeks and food was just as awesome! Had the brisket combo with fries and potato salad. All of it was delish. The stand out was the onion dip appetizer, the scratch-made onion dip has so much flavor! Our kids had a great time too, very family friendly.

Delicious BBQ is hard to find in Las Vegas, but I've finally found one at SMKD (formerly Belle's BBQ). Go for the two-meat plate and get the ribs (fall-off-the-bone good-ness) and pulled pork (or brisket, whichever you prefer). They have really good mac n cheese, fries, and the yams are a nice complementary side as well. Even the desserts are delicious and the prices reasonable. Have already been there twice since they opened and will be coming back regularly!

SMKD is sooo good!! Delicious new BBQ restaurant with great service! Great for kids, too. They have outdoor seating and homemade Mac n cheese - a big win with kids. My favorites were the Brisket, Mojo Chicken, and Homemade Snickers for dessert. I can't stop thinking about the brisket...and the spicy watermelon margarita! Can't wait to go back!

Great BBQ and very attentive service. Clearly a family owned and operated business. Definitely try the beans and Cole slaw. Every meat we tried was fantastic.

We went last night for the first time. We tried almost everything on the menu except the dessert and what we tried was absolutely delicious! Great smoke, taste and flavors! Would definitely recommend and go back. Wish I had taken pictures but I couldn't wait to dive in.

Smoked onion dip is super! Pulled pork was a bit tough. The owner came around and greeted us, which was nice. With such a heavy bbq scene in LV, this place was average, but I'd give them another try.

Stopped by today for their second day of service. The food and hospitality were spectacular. The pork and brisket were both juicy and succulent. We also really enjoyed the sweet potato hush puppies. The dipping sauce for them was crack! I wish I had got fries to dip in that sauce. I appreciate the blue and yellow masa corn bread and the pickles to break up all the richness in the food. I cannot wait to go back and try the pastrami, burnt ends, and ribs the next time we go back. I definitely suggest getting desserts, because they are all amazing. I had a hard time picking between the snickers bar or the chocolate cake and banana pudding hybrid dessert as my favorite. Roger, on the otherhand, loved the fried apple pie. They have something for everyone.

We really wanted to like it. My husband brought home a two-item plate with brisket and ribs with two sides of dirty beans. It contained one small slice of brisket and a few tiny little ribs. The ribs tasted the best out of everything. The beans were tasteless and the slice of brisket was dry. Maybe we were there on a bad night (the night before Thanksgiving). Also we did not receive any bbq sauce

We are BBQ lovers. We live in the South and have experience bbq in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Missouri, and Alabama. I even owned my own smoker ( sold it before moving to Vegas). I can't rate SMKD highly. The pork was good and very moist, but it lacked smoke flavor. We also got the brisket. Again it lacked smoked flavor. I noticed that the smoke ring was very minimal. One of the "chefs" ( we were sitting at an outdoor table) came out and I asked him what temperature they smoke their foods? The temperature was 300 degrees. Wow! That is high, way too high for getting a smoke flavor because the meat cooks fast. The ideal temperature about 220. It takes longer to cook but the time allows the smoke to be absorbed. I also noticed that their smoker was operating but I didn't see any smoke coming out. A smoker should spew smoke out of every crack and get complaints from the neighbors. Hopefully these folks will improve as they play with their equipment. Just a final comment. The meats may not have been smoked to my liking but they were tender, flavorful and moist.

Amazing food. Best brisket and the crispy coleslaw is a must! Friendly staff with indoor and outdoor accommodation! A must try!

Excellent, knowledgable, and friendly servers. I was with a group of six ladies, and we all enjoyed our food - brisket, salmon, etc. Everything was fresh and not overly salty. We will be going back.

My husband and I consider ourselves pretty good judges of BBQ, no pun intended, but we're former certified BBQ judges. We've done BBQ crawls mostly through Memphis, Arkansas, Kansas City, and other points in the South, but mostly Texas. SMKD is now our top pick for bbq in Vegas/Henderson. They had me at first glance when I saw that they have a big smoker just like my husband used to have right outside the restaurant (where Bell's used to be.) The owner happened to be outside so I asked him if they used whole logs in the smoker (yes) and what kind of wood (post oak, apple, cherry, and pecan. Okay, this place is the real deal and they know what they're doing. So many "BBQ restaurants, especially chains use wood pellets.) Brisket... fantastic, we were very pleased when we were asked if we want fatty or lean, another sign they know their stuff. Ribs... also great. Mac & Cheese.... delicious. Beans.... great. Banana pudding.... yum. Very nice smoke ring and bark on the brisket and ribs. Would get all of them again and can't wait to go back and try other things on their menu. But OMG, fried kugel... not only genius, but delicious. I could eat a whole pan of that. For those who don't know what kugel is, just trust me and order it. So sorry to the other fantastic BBQ place in Summerlin that we also love, but SMKD is just down the street from us so this is now our go-to. Also want to mention that one of the owners and the wonderful young lady who works there came by our table several times to check on us and see if we needed or wanted anything else. Great customer service.

Delicious BBQ and friendly service! We met Gene and the pit master and they were wonderful. Our toddler scarfed down the Chopped Pork and we enjoyed the Candy Pig, corn bread, potato salad and Mac n cheese. We weren't big fans of the burnt ends. A bit too saucy. Sausage is spicy and delicious. Overall very nice environment and we're looking forward to trying the brisket next time we go in.

The Ribs were really tender and the sauce was on point. We also had the brisket. .It was really tender and just right amount of smoke and seasoning! Service was really good. Gene took really good care of us , even though he's a Chiefs Fan. The ambiance was a nice relaxing feel with a view of the kitchen. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely disgusting, I ordered the smash burger & burnt ends brisket. The burger was small with 3 small pieces of pickles no lettuce no tomatoes nothing, the brisket had 3 cubs on top and they were hard to eat the rest of it literally tasted like someone put a boot into it, like the bottom of a rubber boot! For 75 dollars, don't waste your money! Ghetto Q

Excellent ribs with tasty sauce...awesome. The brisket is not a classic central Texas brisket... a little bit more like the brisket you would find in a Jewish deli ...but still super soft with yummy flavor. Mac & cheese was very good; beet and carrot salad good but nothing to write home about. Very helpful and friendly staff. Pretty standard price for a quality two meat/ two side platter...just the right amount of food to make it worth it. Happy to have another good barbecue joint on the east side.

Absolutely delicious! This new place is on Eastern in Henderson, where Bell's BBQ used to be. We tried the delicious smoked salmon, baby back ribs and the beet/orange/carrot salad and we are impressed! They just opened yesterday. Chef Alex Reznick and Chef Matt Meyer are famous chefs who certainly know good food and exceptional service. Try it!! You will not be disappointed!

The new BBQ spot, SMKD, has the best brisket I've ever had with a tenderness I didn't know brisket could achieve. The venue gives off a cool vibe and is family friendly and the service superb!

Went today for lunch and had their French Dip and for the side chose the red beets & orange carrots. The service is outstanding and so is their food. I highly recommend you give them a try. It was my third trip there and I will be back again.

New favorite BBQ spot in Henderson! Just tried this new BBQ restaurant and WOW, it's an absolute game changer. My husband said the brisket was melt in your mouth tender and the ribs had the perfect smoky char. Even the sides (get the mac and cheese!) and desserts were so dang good! The staff was friendly, the portions were huge, and you can smell the smoker from the parking lot, in the best way possible. If you love BBQ, put this place at the top of your list. You'll leave full and super happy!

The best brisket sandwich I've ever had!! The perfect balance of flavors and smoke and so tender! Service was excellent and extremely friendly. Restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was spot on. I came here with my Dad from Toronto who ate the same thing and he's still raving about it. We also had the most delicious fried apple pie for dessert. We will definitely be back to try other menu items but it will be hard to not order the brisket again

Hands down the best BBQ I've had in a long time! The brisket was super tender, ribs fell off the bone, and the sides were amazing. Friendly staff and great vibes all around. I love that it is a family restaurant and it shows in the care they take of their customers whom after one visit become family! Definitely coming back.

This is a new BBQ hidden gem in Henderson, finally! Some good local barbecue on this side of town. Ribs & wings were great. Flavor was perfection. They jut opened their door everyday 11am-2pm (hopefully hrs get extended to dinner). Family owned & staff and service were so warm and kind, very attentive.

The food was okay, but honestly nothing that can't be found elsewhere around town. The meats were tender and good, but the sides my party tried were all lacking flavor in our opinion. The service on the other hand was excellent, and it's a nice spot. We may try it again at some point.

Absolutely amazing food, environment and staff! I had the brisket sandwich. Meat was perfectly seasoned and smoked to perfection! Alex and Gene were awesome, down to earth folks just like the rest of the staff. (wish I knew there names, I'd mention each one) this is my families new restaurant.
