Family-run craft brewery for pilsners, stouts & ales, offering tours & taproom hours, plus growlers.
"AGL’s is a pop-up fixture at different breweries around LA (usually in Northeast LA and the South Bay) which is convenient because we doubt there’s a more perfect food to pair with fresh beer than their loosely Texas-style ‘cue. Classic brisket, jalapeño-cheddar sausages, and pork ribs are all done well, but it’s specials like smoked beef cheeks, pork belly burnt ends, brisket tacos, and pastrami-style beef ribs that have us tracking their movement like NORAD. Follow them on Instagram. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
"If Your Favorite Meal Of The Day Is Breakfast. Smog City, the fast-growing Torrance-born brewery, is brewing a lighter, roasted 7% ABV oatmeal stout - which often tastes like buttered toast (we’re not complaining). They’re donating proceeds to Black Lives Matter LA and the Peoples’ City Council." - brett keating
"All three of Smog City’s locations are open for pick-up right now, offering both traditional brews - their hoppy amber Sabre-Toothed Squirrel is an LA classic - and some funkier stuff, like the 1+1=3, an extremely out-there mixed culture saison aged in foudres. Keep an eye out for their crowler deals, too - like three 32-ouncers for $25. Order for pick-up or delivery within 20 miles on their website (delivery is free on orders over $50). They’re also shipping within California." - brett keating
"Smog City’s Torrance location has expanded their patio to include most of the parking lot, with plenty of picnic tables, umbrellas, and greenery. Open Thursday 3-9pm, and Friday-Sunday 1-9pm - reservations here." - brett keating
"If you’re in Torrance, you cannot leave without making a stop at Smog City. While the list of taps is impressive across the board, their Coffee Porter is a standout. Especially if you like beer that tastes like cold brew coffee and will have you rolling under the table after one pint. For the truly adventurous beer drinker in the group, get a glass of Infinite Wishes - a bourbon barrel-aged stout they only release once a year that clocks in at a whopping 12% ABV. Hello, goodbye." - Brant Cox, Brett Keating
