The 14 Best Bagels In Los Angeles

"Smögen Appetizers is a bagel spot for fish lovers. Operating as a permanent pop-up in Sherman Oaks' Vintage Wine + Eats, this weekend-only brunch spot treats its sourdough bagels as elaborate Swedish open-faced sandwiches. The salty housemade cream cheese makes the briny topping options pop, whether it's white fish salad, salty smoked trout roe, or thick slices of hamachi. And if you want a drink at 11am, each bagel has a recommended wine pairing, too. Our lone quibble though is the bagels themselves: sometimes they're crackly and crisp on the outside, sometimes they're tough. Get a good one, though, and your fish-loving heart will grow three sizes." - sylvio martins, arden shore, garrett snyder, cathy park

15 Destinations for Supreme Bagel Satisfaction in Los Angeles

"Smogen Appetizers, a weekends-only pop-up inside Vintage Wine + Eats, prepares some of the Southland’s most stunning sourdough bagels served open-faced. Though the bagel with heirloom tomatoes, cream cheese, olive oil, crushed red pepper, and flaky salt is excellent, the one with hamachi, wasabi cream cheese, shiso, and lemon zest might be even better." - Eater Staff, Mona Holmes

The 16 Best Brunch Restaurants In Los Angeles

"Smögen Appetizers is a weekend-only bagel brunch. As in, the only thing on the menu are bagels. (Well, that and booze. You're dining inside a wine bar). Operating as a permanent pop-up in Sherman Oaks' Vintage Wine + Eats, the Swedish-inspired Smögen uses sourdough bagels and housemade schmear to build elaborate open-faced sandwiches topped with all things fishy and salty, like white anchovies, smoked trout roe, and hamachi sashimi sprinkled with lemon zest. Note that Smögen is a high-energy brunch spot rather than a bagel shop, so expect the mimosas and wine to flow freely. " - nikko duren, brant cox, sylvio martins

Smögen Appetizers - Review - Sherman Oaks - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Smögen Appetizers is a weekend-only bagel brunch. As in, the only thing on the menu are bagels. (Well, that and booze. You're dining inside a wine bar). Operating as a permanent pop-up in Sherman Oaks' Vintage Wine + Eats, Smögen uses its sourdough bagels to make elaborate Swedish open-faced sandwiches topped with all things fishy and salty. A meal here involves things like white anchovies, salty smoked trout roe, and thick slices of cured hamachi sprinkled sashimi with lemon zest. Even the housemade schmear is more savory than usual, with a distinct cheesiness missing from the mass-manufactured stuff. The actual bagels, however, can be a little hit-and-miss. Sometimes, they're crispy and crackly; other times, they're so chewy you risk losing a veneer. But if you get a good one, you're in for a great meal. Note that Smögen is less of a bagel shop and more of a high-energy brunch spot in the Valley—complete with off-duty soccer moms and young parents chasing their morning lox with a glass of chardonnay. Expect the mimosas and wine to flow freely." - Sylvio Martins

Google
The service was great! The girl taking my order was super friendly and the vibe of the restaurant was vibinggg! I gotta say their bagels are very mid 3/5 atleast for the ikura and scramble egg w salmon mouse one. No flavor for the egg, bagel was cardboard like and ikura had no flavor. The other ones were okay but i think the vibe and the wine pairing would probably make the experience better, we did take out. The COOKIE HOWEVER WAS AMAZING, 10/10 if u are here u gotta try it!

We enjoyed gluten-free vegan herb bagels with avocado, I have had better fluffier, and creamier vegan schmear but it was good. I liked the dill.

Saw this place on TV show called. California Cooking. Had to try it out. Kind of funky thinking sushi on bagels, but, WOW was it good. This place isn’t close to us but glad we took a side trip on the way to Calistoga. Definitely will go again and again. Have to try the decadent lobster and caviar bagel the couple next to us were eating. Only draw back was there was a line to get in. Waiting for about 30 minutes but was worth the wait. Awesome idea. Glad they thought about it. By the way they have a full wine bar and serve by the glass. And they will pair the wine to you order for you. What more can you want?

Google
Who knew that hamachi and tuna poke on a bagel would be so good? Smogen’s fusion of Jewish, Swedish and Japanese culinary skills push the boundaries of the fish on a bagel formula. The wasabi cream cheese and furikake bagel combo with the tuna poke was possibly the most surprisingly delicious thing i’ve had all year. The hamachi crudo with a zest of lemon was also surprisingly light and delicious. And the white fish salad is the best i’ve had in years. Cant wait to go back!

Taste 4 different types of flavored bagels..they have diff good wine fr France Spain Germany and fr California..sat outdoor eating while watching people walking and going to flee market nearby.

Google
I'm not sure which bagel was my favorite since they all tasted great, so it's nice you can order by the half so you can try all the flavors.

Google
Incredible bagels, beautiful indoor and outdoor and friendly service. The Salmon mousse soft scramble and the Hamachi were the standouts for us. Our little ones loved the plain and smoked salmon bagels. A+.

Google
Think they do a good job promoting this place on IG but wow! Zero flavor. Is he getting the Lox at Trader Joe’s? I much rather drive to courage bagels and wait in line an hour than eat in this place. Do yourself a fav and just go Trader Joe’s pick up the ingredients yourself.

Yelp
Because my lovely step daughter, the pescatarian was in town, I decided to bring her to this pop up and her two favorite things to eat are carbs and fish. Enter Smögen. It's hard to find a table, and it's a long line to order, but the results are fantastic. We enjoyed everything we ordered especially the bagel topped with roe. So good!

Yelp
I love this place! The bagels are amazing, but they need to update their store hours!! On Apple Maps it says they're open at seven but I got here at 7:45 AM today (Sunday) and they were closed! Aside from that, their bagels are absolutely out of this world. You must try them !

Yelp
The most elevated bagel experience I've had in LA. Don't get me wrong, I love a classic bagel with cream cheese but if you're looking for extravagance coupled with delicious yeasty carbs then Smogen is what you're looking for. The hamachi bagel is insane. Insanely good that is. I highly highly discourage you from getting the 1/2 size because you'll want to punch yourself for not getting the full. Second runner up is the New Yorker. Remember New Yorkers don't play around with bagel culture.

Yelp
Pro-Tip: If you're looking for Smogen Appetizers, look for for a BRIGHT RED gazebo / overhang / patio AND a rustic, BROWN, wooden roof with a door / sign that says VINTAGE WINE + EATS. Their Smogen flag is not the easiest to see from across the street, and when it's windy, it's even harder t ofind. Smogen is qutie hidden on this strip of small businesses, but I'm so excited to have discovered Smogen Appetizers. The staff member who served me was welcoming and friendly. Parking is a tad difficult here, since it's either street parking, or the walk would be from nearby plazas that warn of towing non-plaza customers. The items that I ordered include a variety for bagels, a chocolate chip cookie, and a salmon mousse. The salmon mousse was a pleasant surprise and deviation from the usual dip / spread, and it featured a sour taste. There were a variety of sourdough bagels (yay!), which are a unique one for me. I am not regularly a fan of sourdough, but the sourdough bagels here were amazing, even better if lightly warmed up / toasted! Between the bagels and mousse, I am excited to return and try their full menu of wine and eats.

Yelp
Finally made my way back here and definitely satisfied my cravings for lox bagels! If I'm honest, the bagels aren't my absolute favorite, I would love for them to be a little fluffier (if that makes sense), they were a little dense and the toppings make the bagel. The Arnold Palmers were quality, definitely has my 5 star approval. Customer service was exceptional, they were so kind and they came out just to let us know our drinks will take a couple more minutes.

Yelp
If you're bored of the usual bagel and lox, then you need to check out Smögen Appetizers ASAP. They offer so many different selections of bagel sandwiches, you'll likely order a variety like my wife and I did. Smögen Appetizers is located inside Vintage Wine + Eats in Studio City near the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Ventura Blvd. As for parking, it will either be metered parking or a small lot in the back. They are only open Friday-Sunday from 7am-2pm so coming here will be a tasty weekend treat. The restaurant itself is located inside a wine bar so you will get the best of both worlds if you decide to dine in. The inside is clean, modern, with plenty of seats. When dining in, you just place your order at the register then the food will be brought to your table. The bagels are served open face and you have the option to order a half or full. Since we wanted to try a variety, we shared four halves between the both of us. Another bonus is that each bagel has a recommended wine pairing! Overall Smögen Appetizers is a great place to grab a fresh, delicious bagel paired with a nice glass of wine.

Yelp
Great brunch spot with outside seating! Went on sat at 11 am and were about half full. Portions are actually bigger than I thought. There are some photos on Yelp of bagels cut in half and I thought that was the "half" portion- it's not. We got 3 full sizes for 2 ppl, which was a lot of food! We tried Rakt Lax, Salmon Mouse scrabble and the New Yorker. My favorite was the salmon Mouse scrabble, which is mostly scrabbled eggs. The Side of bacon was perfectly crispy and comes with 4 pieces.

Yelp
FIRE SLEEPER ALERT First to call it. Wine bar and bagels. Game over. Ambiance is great, and the bagels are too good. No better fish or regular bagel around, as there aren't too many around LA to begin with! The owners are great and family comes first. Give them a visit!!
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
The bagels here are absolutely delicious! Located inside of a beautiful wine bar, this is an elevated casual breakfast option. Plenty of metered parking out front and they have indoor as well as outdoor seating. We took a dozen bagels to go as well because they were that good!very dense and Hardy, one makes a filling meal. Prices are fair considering the quality and care they put into their products. Highly recommended for a unique breakfast in the area!

Yelp
Fun Fact: Smögen still tastes amazing even when delivered right to your door! I'm from New York but have lived in LA for 10+ years, and I have been on the hunt for a good bagel ever since. I'm happy to say that my search has finally ended when I tried Smögen! The bagel has a great crunch from the crust, but is still soft and chewy on the inside. The LA Story and their new take on the baconeggandcheese (The New Yorker) are some of my faves. Honorable mention to their lox bagel as well! Whenever I'm craving a bagel, this is my go to! They are a perfect addition to the valley, my only complaint is that they are not open 7 days a week!

Yelp
Smogen was definitely the best find of 2023 and we ended the year with a bang having stopped at this spot for brunch on New Year's Eve. This bagel spot is surely going to be the hot spot on this side of town for brunch once more people catch wind of it. The bagels are truly unique and the flavors are outstanding. An extra bonus that they have wonderful cocktails and really great service. Currently Smogen is a pop up located within a wine bar which is only open on the weekends for breakfast and an early lunch. However, fingers crossed this spot can become a permanent staple as it's truly delicious and unique. I spoke to the cashier and she shared by same sentiments that this spot has been doing so well she said she was hopeful they'd become a permanent staple here. Honestly with the menu and vibes I thought I was transported to some cool seafood bagel spot in Norway. I love the name and the European vibes. Of course it's also a classic LA breakfast spot when it comes to unique toppings and classic boozy cocktails. The prices are worth it in my opinion and I love that you can get half orders of the bagels that way you get to try a few different options. The menu is great and it does make it really hard to narrow down what to order as everything looks so good. For a cocktail I had the Shogun. It was super refreshing and light, would recommend if you like an Asian inspired cocktail with hints of lemon and matcha. My favorite bagel was the Zoey poke bagel, it's the best bagel I've ever had being honest. I love poke and that scallion cream cheese is exceptional, I had to snag a 8oz container to take home. Another delicious bagel was the easy scramble egg bagel with a salmon mousse. Decadent but also somehow light and airy. My friend and I said it was the perfect half bagel to split as the flavors were unique and they perfected the soft scramble. The bagel combinations are truly out of this world here and I'm eager to get back soon. The service was also expectational as everyone working behind the counter and busing the tables were super nice and attentive. Nice people work here and that alone sometimes keeps me coming back. It's truly a 5 star yelp experience when the food, service, and atmosphere are a 5/5! I will be back and with some friends as this spot is just too good to keep a secret.

Yelp
Food 4/5: some lack flavor profiles, maybe have stronger seasoning would help. Hamachi and Sicilian were the best ones. Service: 5/5: super friendly. Ambiance is cute, they also serve wine. Have small outdoor patio section where you can bring your pets.

Yelp
5 out of 5 stars, hands down. Located in wine bar Vintage Wine + Eats on Saturdays and Sundays from 7am-2pm, Smögen offers a delectable selection of open-faced half or full bagels with premium ingredients. We tried a half each of the Rokt Lax ($9), Hamachi ($14), and Salmon Mousse Soft Scramble ($9). A half is good for one or two to share, and we wanted a variety to sample and admire. My preferences, in order from most to least: - the Rokt Lax, because their take on salmon toast features a rich mix of delicious flavors and spices. Clearly a crowd favorite. - the Hamachi, because wow wow wow that shiso leaf, lemon zest and hamachi yellowtail combo is life-changing. Who knew hamachi could complement shiso just as much as salmon does? - the Salmon Mousse Soft Scramble, because I liked the omelette and the salmon mousse, but it was admittedly a lot together for me. The trout roe offered the best little pops of salty flavor. Gorgeous little environment and peaceful ambiance. If you come on Sundays, there's also a Farmers Market just behind the way for more to see and do in Studio City. Street metered parking - don't forget to pay your meter. Free parking on Sundays and holidays. Otherwise, there's paid parking behind the block. I love this concept. I hope more places see fit to team up with chefs/vendors in this way, because commercial rent is not cheap in this town and brilliant concepts deserve to shine, even as popups to start. Will be back again and again!

Yelp
My coworker put me on to this spot while working in this area, and I literally drove back the next day from DTLA to try more bagels lol. On the first visit I had the SALMON MOUSSE SOFT SCRAMBLE & had to return to have it again. Wow. I love me a perfectly cooked soft scramble. Thank youuuu Smogen! The salmon mousse was honestly perfect, the amount of flavor was so well balanced. When I returned I tried the LOBSTER SKAGEN...10/10! Jesus. PACKED with lobsterrrrr!! What more can you ask for? The RÖKT LOX was classically good without disappointment. I'd recommend these bagels for sure! Honorable mentions: chocolate chip cookie. Fire. & we had some spritz they just released too. Sooo light and refreshing! I love the seating, they have single booth style section that was really cute. Great service and friendly staff. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
This pop-up shop can be found in a Wine restaurant in LA and you order everything at the counter. The pop-up specializes in German seafood bagels? It's somewhat the combination of sushi with German flavors and bagels. A half means open-faced and a full means the bagel on top to close it with extra portions as well. You also are able to customize each bagel with different seasonings like everything it furikake. We got a few to try. Smogen (5/5): This include salmon eggs and cream cheese. The eggs just popped in my mouth with sweetness and flavors. My only complaint was there was not enough eggs as the cream cheese ratio was a bit too much. Hamachi (5/5): This was was probably the least flavorful to me as the hamachi (amberjack) tasted like a typical hamachi sashimi Zoey's Poke (5/5): This bagel was topped with sweet ahi tuna with poke sauce. I definitely recommend this if you love poke. LA Story: This bagel primarily contained avocado and great is you love avocado toast. I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
AMAZING weekend spot. Run, don't walk! I'm so excited to welcome this new bagel spot to studio city! While they are exclusively at the Vintage Wine and Eats shop on weekends, it's sooo worth it. We came on a Saturday around 10am and it wasn't hard to get a seat, but there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I came for a 1 year wedding anniversary breakfast treat and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and were quick to suggest their favorite bagels! Perfect spot for a solo visit or a group! We tried the rökt lox, hamachi, salmon mousse soft scramble, Zoey's poke, and the Sicilian! You can order 1/2 bagels so it's easy to explore the menu and that's exactly what we did! All of the bagels had lots of flavor and were unique! My standout was definitely the salmon mousse because where are you going to find salmon mousse on a bagel?! Also, the poke was a standout because it came on furikake seasoned bagel. These are classic bagels paired with innovative flavors and toppings. Whether you are a bagel purist or adventurous, you won't be disappointed. The co-owner, Zach, was super friendly and asked us all about our experience! The bagels were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
This pop up is running on the weekends from 7-2 in the Vintage Wine & Eats shop so I had to check it out! Came around 10:30 on Sunday and they were SUPER busy, but we were able to find a table relatively quickly. They offer bagels as a whole or half. I appreciated this because it allowed us to try even more than we would've otherwise gotten to! The menu is super inventive and unique, with offerings like furikake bagels and a bagel topped with hamachi. We ordered 4 different bagels: one topped with anchovies (The Sicillian), one topped with hamachi, a standard lox bagel, and a poke bagel. Our total came to $50, so it's definitely pricey. I chalk this up to the nature of a pop up. It took us about 25 minutes to get our food, which was surprising but not a problem. They were busy and we were along for the ride. I LOVE the idea of putting hamachi on a bagel, although I do wish the fish had a little bit more flavor to it -- a little lemon zest and some flake salt could go a long way. The poke bagel was bursting with flavor and delicious, as was the lox bagel (it's a classic combo for a reason!). We were a little bit disappointed with the anchovy bagel -- another one I think could've really benefitted from some flake salt, but I was still glad to try it and appreciate that they're doing some inventive things. Definitely a fan of this spot and would love to go again/see them become a permanent fixture.

Yelp
I recently had a fantastic brunch date with a friend here. Despite the early hour, the place was bustling with people enjoying drinks. They have a wide selection of white and red wines. The highlight was the unique bagel options, available in both half and full sizes with delicious fish toppings. It's a perfect spot for poke and sashimi lovers looking for a twist on brunch. One downside is the messy eating experience due to the generous toppings, but it's easily managed if you will ask to have a knife, fork, and plenty of napkins.Overall, Smogen offers a vibrant brunch experience that I'd gladly return to, perhaps for a romantic date night with my husband.

Yelp
If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be bagels, and smögen would be my go to spot forever. I came here around 1PM and it was quite busy inside but the rush quickly disappeared. You order at the counter towards the back, get number, and sit either inside or outside. Surprisingly enough, there is a good amount of seating options! Soon after we ordered, we received our food all at once. My boyfriend and I split each bagel except the rökt lax. Every one of them were absolutely delicious but my favorite is the salmon mousse soft scramble. Made to perfection! Next time I go, I'll try the Sicilian, hamachi, and Eleanor's heirloom. Fingers crossed this place turns from a pop up to a permanent location!

Yelp
It's interesting for sure especially for the LA bagel scene 8.5/10 compared to other big name bagel spots. I'd recommend trying it out for sure it is unique and I did enjoy it
google avatar

Yelp
This place has the best bagel sandwiches in LA! So crispy on the outside and chewy and soft on the inside. The toppings were amazing. Had a Zoey's Poke and a Smogen and I was amazed. I'm not a big fan of poke or roe but they were delicious! I would definitely go back to try their other sandwiches. I also liked their quick service and plenty of seatings.
google avatar

Tess A.

Yelp
Cute pop up shop with good customer service. However we were severely disappointed with the food. The bagels were stodgy, and toasted almost burnt where we could barely chew the bagels. Unfortunately very underwhelming for the price, we won't be coming back.
google avatar

Troy S.

Yelp
Smogen has got some super cool modern bagels with some of the most diverse toppings you have seen! They are putting high quality sushi grade sashimi on their bagels and let me tell you...they are absolutely delicious! The inside is beautiful and the staff here is amazing! I definitely enjoy having a different take on a the traditional bagel

Yelp
I came here with a friend on a Sunday at around 11 AM. There was no wait to order and seats both outside and inside. The restaurant itself is very cute, with very nice ambiance especially during the daytime with lots of natural light. We decided to take advantage of their half bagels and get 4 in total to split so we could try as many as possible. We got all the sandwiches on their recommended bagels. I liked all the bagels that we got and would happily get all of them again as well as try the rest of the menu! 1. Zoey's Poke: Definitely my favorite out of all the bagels, I had never had anything like this before! The poke itself was very good but the scallion cream cheese really pulled it together. The furikake bagel was sooooo good as well. 2. Eleanore's Heirloom: this one also was very very good, incredibly refreshing! 3. Salmon mousse soft scramble: this was actually one that the girl working the counter recommended and said was her favorite- super good! I was a little concerned about the mouse but it's much more like scrambled eggs. 4. Rökt lax: this one was also good, I'm just not a huge smoked salmon person, but definitely good.

Yelp
Oh man - I went here this morning and already want to go back. The bagels are good and the fish is delicious and fresh, plus the staff is helpful and friendly. You can tell this place is getting popular already, but I went early enough that there wasn't a line. The best part of this place is being able to get a half bagel - my friend are I were able to try 4 different bagels and 4 different toppings. Ahi poke on top of a furikake bagel? Perfect. My only complaint is the coffee they have (while good) is prepackaged Stumptown. It's not going to keep me from going back, but it's definitely something to know before you go. And note! They're only open Saturdays and Sundays from 7am-2pm.
google avatar

Steph P.

Yelp
Amazing! Really hope they become a permanent fixture at Vintage Wine + Eats in Studio City! Went with a group of 5 and was able to try all their bagel creations. Our faves were Zoey's Poke, The Sicilian, and Salmon Mousse Soft Scramble. Their iced matcha latte was also lovely! Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
Service was amazing, got my food in 15 minutes and it was so good so tasteful I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good bagel! The facility was so cute and the brand was stunning.

Yelp
Delicious bagels in the valley! I loveeee courage bagels but the wait can be brutal, not to mention the awful parking/traffic depending on when you go. Glad there's a place closer to us that we can go to early morning... with no lines! (for now...) We tried 4 half bagels! - the joint venture w/ everything bagel: our fave of the bunch! smoky and savory. - smögen w/ everything bagel: love me some good ol' classic roe.. this is tied with the hamachi one! - hamachi w/ sesame bagel: i loveee shiso leaf, it was a nice touch. This bagel is more on the refreshing side! - salmon mousse soft scramble w/ furikake bagel: this was good too! If you're craving for a brekkie bagel, this one's for you! Oh, and they're super dog friendly! They're open on weekends indefinitely (yay!) Street parking was easy on a Sunday morning.

Yelp
Got a chance to try this pop up over the weekend and while I am glad I tried it I was severely underwhelmed. The location is great, lots of parking and it's inside a cute little place. The food itself is where I expected so much more. We got a half Rökt Lax on everything bagel and the salmon mousse soft scramble on a plain bagel. I adore lox bagels but this one didn't hit the mark. There was so little lox on the bagel and even the onions were sparse. The only thing there was a lot of was dill but that is an overwhelming bit of one we're to eat that much dill in a bite. Overall it was a fairly bland bite that left you wanting something more. The salmon mousse soft scramble wasn't bad however it tasted like just Philadelphia salmon cream cheese with a nice soft scramble on top (we weren't the roe for some reason). The last note is the bagels themselves were both overly chewy which wasn't the most pleasant. The interior of the bagel was nice and soft it was just the outer of both which was too tough. I am glad I checked this place out and I enjoy that they offer half bagel as an option but I don't plan to make a return trip when there are plenty of other bagel shops out there with better offerings.

Yelp
Yum! Really tasty bagels in the Valley?? Fingers crossed they'll open a permanent location. I loved everything I ordered, but my favorite was probably the salmon mousse soft scramble. I will be back!

Ed H.

Yelp
Today, we had a lovely brunch. Smogen Tower with sparkling Cava was just impressive, full of fresh flavors! This combination made our brunch experience so delightful!
google avatar

V K.

Yelp
They're popping up in the Vintage Wine and Eats space and that space has a nice ambiance and outside seating too. Service is so so, the person behind the counter taking orders wasn't aware of what they didn't have in stock. Their website needs to be updated as it lists items that aren't actually available to order. Food is so so. Most bagels lack flavor. Some were better than others. But the thing that made their bagels less yummy than other bagel spots is that they don't serve most of their bagels warm. They are priced a lot less than other comparable bagel places, but they're also not as good as other comparable bagel places.
google avatar

Rachel F.

Yelp
I am currently enjoying a Smogen and a hamachi. Both are delicately flavored with beautiful balance and complexity. I was surprised when I arrived by how quiet it was, but 15 minutes later, there's a line to the door. That's more like it. This food is delicious.

Yelp
Bagels were expensive and tasted like they were made 3 days ago. Save your money and go somewhere else

Yelp
Best bagels in town. I can't wait to return every Sunday. I hope by leaving this review it doesn't get over popular.

Yelp
saw an instagram reel and came in excited to try these out, definitely letdown by the bagel quality and overall flavors. came with a couple friends and ordered the rökt lax, LA story, hamachi, and salmon mousse soft scramble on everything bagels and one poppy bagel. all the bagels were super dense and chewy, almost tasted stale? the poppy especially so. the fish quality was decent but had absolutely zero seasoning. we asked for hot sauce and lemon and it improved things a bit, but we were still underwhelmed by the experience. decor is cute, service is quick and attentive. they only offer bottled hot sauce and coffees, definitely takes away from the upscale vibe it seems like they're trying provide. i like the idea, but it felt poorly executed.

Yelp
Nice people and great service. Cream cheese was good. Bagels way too chewy. They are sourdough bagels so maybe that has something to do with it. Worth a shot if that's your thing.

Yelp
If you want a real sourdough NY Bagel this is the place! It is very charming inside, good wines. The concept is genius instead of being attached to one topping or one bagel you get to choose two. The Smögen is so good and they are very generous with the fish roe. The tuna poke bagel is like food crack! You must go here, but be warned I almost ate (4) different halves........

Yelp
Closed! No damn notice. No parking. Drove all the way to find a notice that they are taking a hiatus. WTF. At least post to inform your customers.

Youve never had such delicious bagels of unique toppings. Genius that you can order by the half bagel to mix and match. Fabulous service and atmosphere!!!!! Wish I could give 6 stars!!!!!

Yelp
Very Special. I think you could close your eyes and point at the menu and be assured of a terrific brunch/lunch. We had 3 different toppings on open-faced bagels. (One plain and two seeded.) All were excellent as was the look of the food served to others around us. And this: It was very crowded Saturday afternoon. Our order was badly delayed, and one of the orders was served on the wrong bagel. Management was truly apologetic about this and refunded the cost of the meal. I think it was the right thing to do. But taking responsibility in that way speaks volumes for their attitude towards their customers. ...and the meal was very good!

Yelp
Really original and excellent bagel sandwiches. Busy though but fun. I can't think of more to say

Yelp
Best bagel sandwiches ever. The highest quality fish from joint seafood. Honestly best new opening and yummies breakfast spot around- by far! Try the hamachi bagel, the New Yorker, the roe one, or the joint venture. Honestly every single one is amazing. Coffee is great too! They use Joshua Tree Roasters. The service is always great and everyone is friendly, owner is always walking around checking in!
