Dine in or take out, this place is amazing! What a cool atmosphere if you're lucky to get a seat! (Which is a good sign!) When you order at the counter, with friendly bilingual service, they provide delicious samples of their amazing dishes! Amazing little stage with live music and they even announce anniversaries and birthdays! What an awesome place and the food is beyond amazing! Stop in on your way to Montreal and end your trip with one more visit! 🥰

A self served Montreal smoked meat joint. The smoke meat jumbo platter was out of this world! The sandwich has 20 layers of smoked meat that is juicy. I picked medium cut which is mix of lean and fatty meat but next time I'd pick fatty as that's where all the intense flavors are at. The fries are surprisingly good with a hint of sweetness in between the savoriness. Decor and the setup are geat for a fun night out.

I really liked this cool spot! It's super cozy and has a great vibe with yummy food. My friend recommended their smoked meat, but honestly, there's a bunch of other tasty stuff on the menu too. We tried the smoked meat sandwich with awesome fries – so good! Even though the cashier goofed up the bill a bit, it's all good. They've got a bunch of sauces to choose from to take home, which is neat. The sandwich itself was delish, with lean meat and not too much fat. There's plenty of parking and I can't wait to check out the live music next time. Definitely recommend this spot!

So this is simply exceptional Smoke Meat. As a Torontonian i do not understand why we can’t make this stuff in Toronto, but it’s not even close. it’s difference from Schwartz’s (the gold standard) but Different only in that Smoke Meat Pete’s is a moister sandwich, which i thoroughly enjoyed. Choosing your favourite would come down to your own preferences. But make zero mistake, this is a world class sandwich. the atmosphere is exceptional, a great roadhouse vibe with fast service. 10’s all around for me!

Better than Schwartz, that's all I need to say. The moment you enter you are smacked in the face with the amazing smell of the smokers in action. The vibe of the place is something else - in such a fantastic way. The service is efficient and simple; order at the window, take a seat, food comes to you very fast. The portions are fantastic, and the fries are wonderful. They remind me of carnival fries from decades ago when they were soft and crispy and oily and salty. Homemade chip truck style - not your frozen McCain's. The meat though, tender, smoky and stacked real high even for the regular portion. I love that it comes with a pickle and slaw as both of them compliment all aspects of the dish so well. You can top the fries with the slaw and cut down the richness overall of the dish, or you can eat them on your own to give your palate a break from the unctuousness and richness of everything. This is my fourth (and not last) time being here and I will visit this over Schwartz's when in MTL area.
