This place has the “whole vibe” potential which I didn’t get to experience on a Sunday early afternoon. Nonetheless, I can see it. I ordered the 2-meat combo plate — it’s a lot of food for an amazing price!! The brisket was nothing short of magnificently delicious!!! I was nervous trying the potato salad but was scraping the bowl before I knew it! The chicken quarter had a nice smoky flavor. The only item I didn’t care for on my plate were the green beans. I had to talk food first but the service was interesting. I placed my food order at the bar at one register and had to walk around the bar to a different register to place my alcohol order. I was given a buzzer after placing my food order which I had to go pick up at the food pick up area. It was odd because I chose to sit at a table by the pick up area so I could be close to it. The sever paged me, walked to my table without the food and told me that I could go grab my food that was sitting at the pickup area — I was all kinds of complex because I was one of 5 customers in the building at the time. Maybe there’s something I don’t know….. The bartender, Zack, was amazing and gave me the level of service I expected from the server…but again perhaps I’m missing something on how it works here… Based on the delicious food & the exceptional bartender, I will likely return

I came here for the Margarita Festival with my sister and her boyfriend (didn't realize it was a festival until we got there) and we had a blast! When I got food, I ordered the brisket mac and cheese (see picture) and it was delicious! Not spicy at all (I have a very low spice tolerance) and seemed perfectly done, considering this is only the second time I've had brisket. 😆 Everyone was enjoying themselves and the vibe was great! The service in the restaurant was great and the wait staff were very friendly. They're having some more festivals coming up that I may check out just because I enjoyed the vibes of this one so much, despite not being a drinker.

I had a great time at Smoky Skybar San Antonio, recommended by staff at the Kimpton Hotel. The atmosphere leans more toward a bar/club than a typical restaurant—just something to keep in mind. When I visited, there were huge rental AC units set up (the main AC must have been out), so some seating areas weren’t available or as comfortable. That said, I’m not complaining because the food was tasty and reasonably priced, and the service was truly excellent. All in all, a fun spot—would return!

I drive for Uber and had always told myself to go in and experience this place. I finally did and LOVED the atmosphere and the Multi inside Outside Levels w/an elevator I will add for those of us who have bad knees and backs. I tried the ribs, green and charro beans with sausage. The beans were Amazing 😋 soo flavorful. The meat was Texas-style, yummy with their sauce. This is now my favorite spot so far in San Antonio when it comes to wanting to go out it is in a great location close to my house. There are many rooms and spots where you can just be off by yourself or with a few people if you have a small party together. They have a poetry spot in the Ember Room. Plus the hosting they do after concerts. Definitely a 5 🌟 🤩 for me. Izzy was Amazing, kind, Soo Very knowledgeable about the events, to where I'd go back just to kick it with her. I posted pictures so it can speak for itself. ❤️❤️❤️ oh and how could I forget the positive sayings on the walls and pillows... such a sweet touch 🎉🤩

food is AMAZING here! the service is REALLY bad! we walked in and nobody greeted us. we sat ourselves and we asked for drinks and the person who took our order said she did not know where the bartender was. we finished our food and the bartender still wasn’t around. we asked for a box and no box ever came either.

Smoke Skybar is a fun place to eat. It has a bar on 2 separate floors and dining on the first floor although you can take your food upstairs. The seating upstairs overlooks the city. It has huge screen tvs. The food was excellent, very tasty. I had the brisket stuffed potato and my daughter had the chicken sandwich. The drinks were really good! Our waitress on the first floor was excellent! She was friendly, informative, and very prompt! She really took care of us. We will be back!

If you’re in the mood for an unforgettable Tex‑Mex delight, look no further than the brisket nachos at Smoky Skybar. These nachos are top-tier—crispy tortilla chips piled high, drenched in gooey cheese, topped with tender, smoky brisket that literally melts in your mouth. The portion is generous, perfect for sharing… though you might want to keep them all to yourself. Service was friendly and prompt, with your nacho platter arriving still sizzling. The vibe at Smoky Skybar—laid-back rooftop atmosphere with a scenic view—is the ideal backdrop for enjoying this crowd‑pleasing dish.

If you like BBQ, this is the place. I had the BBQ plate with brisket and ribs and a side of mac and cheese and potato salad. The meats had a great crust to them and were tender and moist. Even the sides were good, which is rare, I've found. The BBQ sauce is a sweet hickory flavor and matched the meats perfectly.
