Had really high hopes for this place. We passed by and checked out the menu and it smelled and looked good from what we saw. We decided to stay and eat. My husband ordered a raspberry kamikaze and I had a Diet Coke. Our waitress was super friendly and we were greeted quickly. We ordered the burnt ends appetizer, I got the chopped brisket platter with mac n cheese and potato salad, and my hubby ordered the pulled pork with beans and mac n cheese. Our waitress asked if we wanted the burnt ends as an appetizer or with our meal. We said as an appetizer. About 15 minutes later our food arrived. No appetizer. The food looked amazing....that is until I tasted it. The beef brisket was fatty and either weirdly chewy or crunchy. It had a weird after taste that I did not enjoy. The sauce was good though. The mac n cheese was really disappointing. It was like watered down Velveeta mac with raw bread crumbs sprinkled on top. It was bland and there was not even salt or pepper on the table to help season it. The potato salad was good and really all I ate. However, it was no better than grocery store potato salad. My husband loved the pulled pork and the beans were quite tasty. He was also disappointed in the mac n cheese. We were both thankful that our waitress forgot the appetizer because after tasting the brisket I am 100% sure we would have hated it. The food was a bit pricey, however, you did get a lot of food for the $$. I was a bit surprised that the waitress paid no attention to me eating next to none of the meat nor wanting it to go. I dont think I will return any time soon and if I did I would probably get a burger. The kamikaze drink was very good but was also on the pricey side for the size.
