I ordered the pulled pork tamales and let me tell you. They were not your typical tamales but they were definitely a 10/10 something new and delicious. Definitely recommend you to try them out.

First time I tried Smokey Lips was great. The second time was even better! I'm glad to have a good BBQ spot in the valley that I can go to anytime I get the craving to eat some good BBQ. The portions are good, flavor is on point, never dry, and the smash burgers are also good. Do not hesitate to try them out!

Best BBQ in Coachella Valley!!! We have been enjoying Chef Adam's BBQ for years, ordering off his ala carte menu directly, and meeting him at the various festivals. He really knows what he is doing around the smoker. His meats are always so tender and delicious, smoked to perfection. Would definitely recommend.

I’m so happy we found Smokey lips bbq in Cathedral City. We ordered a bbq platter with sides while my family visited and everyone loved it. My favorite was the ribs, fully loaded potato salad, and the corn bread. Hand downs best corn bread I’ve ever had (super moist and flavorful). Thanks for a delicious meal!

Family run pop up cater service always on point. Bbq is delicious and juicy. Can’t miss the smash burger pop ups the Tallow Fries are amazing must try. I come from Menifee area to grab more then worth it!

I recently hosted a dinner party to celebrate the milestone birthday of my friend, Barbara ... and by milestone, this birthday was 75 stone ... plus a few extra miles. So, Barbara says to me, she says, "I hear Smokey Lips Bar-B-Que is really good" and, of course, that meant "I want Smokey Lips for my birthday, and I want you to host a dinner party for 10 friends!". I knew exactly what she meant ... and who am I to deny a 75-plus-year-old friend a wish on her birthday? So, I called. I am SO happy I did! Owner | Chef Adam Morales provided excellent and QUICK communication! He truly had me excited even before I saw the menu to place my order. MAN was he patient! I must have asked Chef Morales 1,000 questions and he never became impatient; he always sounded like he was smiling on the phone. I work in guest services and have for over 40 years, so I can safely say that he "Had me at Hello"! Chef Morales arrived at my door early; it was so easy to match the friendly voice I heard on the phone with the friendliest face in the room, and he even had his friendly, clean, and very well-behaved pup riding shotgun in his delivery van, and this van was spotlessly clean! The packaging of his product alone was totally remarkable! I was so afraid that the food would need to be reheated, as I arranged delivery for half an hour prior to the arrival of my guests. Thanks to great, insulated packaging and hot boxes inside the delivery van, the selected meats and sides were steaming when opened! Smokey Lips' 100% Wood-fired and smoked meats were all completely divine! Handcrafted smoking, marinading, and grilling led to the most delicious and tender barbeques meats I have had served in the desert to this date - and I am WILD about bar-b-que and have tried every outlet around! Exceedingly tender prime brisket, dino beef ribs, pulled pork and pork ribs, sausages, and chicken - even the Chef-crafted bar-b-que sauce served on the side - were absolutely delicious! The sides we ordered were each as fabulous as the next! I remember being apprehensive when I placed my order as I needed to feed ten very hungry guests! I was so surprised by the amount of fantastic food that arrived - all my guests were completely sated and smiling at the end of the dinner, and enough food remained that several guests took some home - and I continued to feast myself for the next two days! Seriously, each of us was WILD about the results! If you seek delicious bar-b-que prepared professionally by a friendly and deeply knowledgeable Chef, Smokey Lips is for you! I had them cater the food for a party. I had a few weeks back. I had a pan of pulled pork and a pan of brisket with sauces and the food was excellent. My guess raved about the quality of the barbecue. I would recommend this.

I was able to try Smokey Lips BBQ catering services at a work meeting last month. Catering services an AMAZING Chinese cuisine (chow mein, beef & broccoli, orange, chicken, smoked Korean, barbecue short ribs and strawberry bread, pudding) for Lunar New Year! I would definitely have them cater my next Work event, and or Personal event.

Amazing local BBQ!!! Part home operation part catering and private events the chef Adam is amazing at what he does. This little gem is worth the drive everything is home made with love and family run business. Quality ingredients and they even do stuff like smash burgers and cinnamon rolls. The truffle Mac and cheese is to die for. Don't sleep on it. Make sure to get extra BBQSauce!!!

I read all the wonderful reviews, are they real or fake? Ordered beef brisket and sausage. Absolutely no, none, zilch SMOKE smell, taste or flavour!!! Don't even think about any "pink smoke rings" The brisket was stewed in a slow cooker, not even in an oven and he didn't even bother to torch it on top to make it look nicer! Total cost $51.00 pickup I can buy 2 whole brisket for under $50 at any grocery and stew it myself. Take a closer look at the picture...can you not stew it yourself? Just so mad. Some people are so dishonest...this Adam guy is not trustworthy. Maybe because I told him we r in our seventies so rather pay cash on p/u and that's when he thinks he can cheat on Seniors.

There are retail BBQ operations that will serve you any day or night but this isn't that. It IS a retail BBQ operation. It IS a southern BBQ product on your plate indeed, however, what you'll get on your plate can only be described as "artful". Chef Adam has chops, he has cred, he has vision, he has style, he deserves your consideration. His product: it's true, it's traditional, it's got undeniable "Texas" style influence and yet, it's close to perfect. (I'll drink his bbq sauce from a cup with a straw however, just a dab will do ya on any given bite) Everyone knows, "There's no such thing as perfect" however, I consider this the closest to perfect I've EVER had My advice: FIND A WAY to get a plate of whatever he'll put on it for you. don't forget dessert. (smoked walnut brownie? seriously?)

Highly recommend Smokey Lips BBQ to cater your private event or even office potluck! Chef Adam created a delicious BBQ and seafood mix cuisine for my husband's 40th birthday. Also, in celebration of Lunar New Year, I requested another catering order for my office. Chef Adam prepared the most delicious Asian cuisine (Chow Mein, Beef Broccoli, Orange Chicken with special glaze, Smoked Korean BBQ Short Ribs, and Strawberry Bread pudding). Chef Adam is very talented, highly skilled, versatile, family and community orientated. You will want to order regularly!

Where do I begin... I do not compromise, and neither should you. When you're sick and tired of all the pellet smoker clowns, corporate BBQ spots (Dickeys aheeeeeem) and the much more common Santa Maria Style - it's time to try Smokey lips. The man uses prime and sometimes Wagyu brisket, smokes it low and slow for 10+ hours and knows his seasoning. Don't waste your time buying inferior products, there can only be one BBQ King in the Coachella Valley - and the undisputed champion is chef Adam at Smokey Lips BBQ.

Smokey Lips BBQ isn't your normal BBQ, this BBQ is prepared and smoked by a top notch chef who takes BBQ to a whole new level. I have followed Chef Adam to different pop up events and even had food from his professional licensed Home kitchen. This BBQ is a must try and you will never taste anything similar to this type of BBQ and sides.

Smokey Lips BB is hands down the best BBQ in not only the Coachella Valley but the whole state of CA! Chef Adam has a unique passion that is translated to his craft and makes you feel like your in San Antonio Texas eating delicious BBQ. Highly recommended for its quality, flavor, and authenticity but at the same time uniqueness.

Went to bubbaz yesterday and the brisket was stiff and dry, that's my issue at a lot of bbq places actually. I've tried brisket that has been home made with the Costco smoker for 20 hours (camado joe?) and this is definitely the same quality. I ordered a lb of the prime brisket and it was the best bbq brisket I've ever purchased and was seasoned perfectly. I can't vouch for this places sides but the bbq beans that came with the brisket was really good. For reference bubbaz tastes like bushes canned beans with extra bbq sauce or maple syrup. This place is really great, I make sure to go out of my way to give one star reviews to places that are overhyped and this isn't it

Smokey Lips BBQ catered a birthday party I hosted in La Quinta on July 2021. Putting in the order with Adam was easy, they delivered on time, and most importantly, the food was delicious! I ordered two of their #2 trays and a rack of beef ribs and it was more than enough for my group of 20. The meats were cooked well and the sides were tasty. Most of my group has had BBQ in Austin, TX and said Smokey Lips was definitely on par. Only thing that could have been better was that the cornbread was a little dry. I'd definitely order again the next time I'm in the area.

Chef Adam is the best. He is very polite, friendly, and has a fun and bright personality. He answers all your questions and takes your preferences into consideration. BTW, he uploads the menus in the evening. Order quick because menu items run out quick. Me and the fam will definitely be ordering again when I'm in the area.

Amazing flavors in all his meats. We tried pulled pork, tri tip, pork ribs, beans and corn. Tender meats with lots of wonderful flavors and smokey essence. Each of the sides (beans and corn) were terrific. Did not dissappoint!. Adam had our complete order ready for pick-up and was very friendly. It's great to support an independent, local entrepreneur. Even the packaging was done with attention to detail. Nice and warm when we got home. We will definitely be back

Best bbq we have ever had! This will forever be our go-to for special occasions, parties, family gatherings, and anytime we are craving some stellar bbq! So many layers of flavor, you can tell the food is made by a true professional! You wont be disappointed!!

Great dinner tonight! My husband and I had the pork belly and brisket sandwiches. Great Smokey flavor, good quality meat. I would definitely come back here if in the area. Nice to be on vacation and not feel like I'm in a tourist trap.

I ordered the 1/2 platter that has ribs, tritip, brisket, and sausages. It comes with bbq sauces, onions, pickles, and jalapeños. It also comes with rolls and 2 sides. Let me just say it was AMAZING!!!. You definitely get the smoke and the meat is tender and flavorful. The portions are also very generous. It was money well spent. My husband and I enjoyed every bite. The person that took my order was also very nice and had my order ready when I arrived. You must try, you will not be disappointed.

I don't know about their food as they were closed today we were trying to go by. Wound up driving around Palm Springs for quite a while to find out that this is a home business. That should be noted on home page. There is no restaurant it is a neighborhood. They might have good food don't know but don't expect to go sit down in the restaurant.

Wish I could give them 10 stars. Amazing food. They are really masters of slow cook heaven. Love them.
