"While Snappers has long been a Key Largo icon, it’s also a popular stopping point for travelers making their way from Miami to Key West (it’s about a 90-minute drive from South Beach), so prepare for a crowd and plan your trip accordingly. The waterfront setting, old-school décor, and history of the place make it rather boisterous regardless of whether you stop in for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch (which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features live jazz plus a build-your-own-Bloody Mary bar). The food leans Caribbean, and the menu changes slightly each day based on what's fresh—the hallmark of any great seafood joint—but you can't miss if you order the gator bites (lest there be any confusion, made from actual gator). We came here on a whim and I’m so glad that we did. The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is relaxed and vibrant, and being right by the water makes for such a beautiful dining experience—the views are stunning! One of the best parts of the night was meeting the executive chef. He came out to greet us and was incredibly friendly—by the end of the evening, it felt like we were part of the family! He mentioned a few dishes on the menu that he personally created, and of course we had to try them—they did not disappoint. My kids are still talking about the fried Oreos for dessert—they were a huge hit! Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and we’re already looking forward to going back.

The location is just perfect! The service though is really lacking. Took a while to even be seen by the hostess then they continued a conversation with an en employee. Once we were seated the waitress was nice. It took forever to get food though and she started to not come back to check on us. The food was good. The jambalaya is to die for! The lack of key west pinks as a shrimp option was disappointing. When you are charging that much for a fried shrimp basket I would expect to have something other than farm raised frozen shrimp.

after spending some time in the Keys. Since I work at another restaurant under the same company, I thought it’d be the perfect chance to stop by—and I’m so glad I did! Alex, the manager, was amazing and made us feel incredibly welcome. Our server, David, was fantastic—he took the time to share his favorite dishes and gave us great insight into the menu. The food was phenomenal. I had the lobster roll, and it was absolutely delicious. The setting is just as impressive—such a beautiful restaurant right on the water. I’ll definitely be back. Loved everything about this experience!

This was our second meal here in three nights, and both dinners and the fun cocktails were amazing! We had the Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken and the famous crab cakes. Tonight the blackened mahi bites and mahi macos, also the clam spinach dip and another Mediterranean salad. Mutiny Rum Punch and Hemingway martini- both amazing cocktails. Our dessert of deep fried oreos with vanilla ice cream was totally delicious, definitely a must to top off a great experience. Excellent service, friendly and fun staff, incredible food all served to you and friends right on the water.

Enjoyed our family outing to Snappers. They accommodated our large group with no fuss, and the service was top notch. Nightly specials and plenty of seafood choices on the menu. We had hogfish Dakota style and a fish and shrimp basket for entrees. We also got hush puppies (they’re HUGE!) and onion rings for apps. Food was good, atmosphere was great. Enjoyed walking on the dock at the marina at sunset.

Such a beautiful restaurant to dine in and I had the best service! As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed with an atmosphere like no other. A nice giftshop at the front and was asked whether I wanted to sit inside or outside. I chose outside to enjoy the nice sounds of waves streaming and the sun shining down on my face as I enjoyed my food. My waiter was Mike, who was a delight. He was super calm, patient, and helpful in recommending foods. After finishing my food I went to the restroom and said goodbye, then was greeted by my waiter who so kindly retrieved and brought my purse that I almost forgot while dining. I’m super grateful to have a kind-hearted waiter and a great environment. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Food was okay, but the server was mediocre (added an extra item to our tab that was from the family next to us). The inside was nice and decorated as you walked in. We decided to sit outside on the dock and the view was good. However, it did stink a bit like the water was a bit stagnant 🤷‍♂️

Greeted by the Chef himself right at 11 as the first customers. Treated us like family and gave us the best experience. If you’re driving through you’ll have to stop. Food was amazing, mahi sandwich & fried snapper. SO good. Chef came back to check on us at the end. Really made this a great time. Thank you guys!!!!
