"Back in 2007, the original location of Snarf’s Sandwiches in Boulder had to find a new home after “The Shack,” as it was called, found itself in the way of new apartments on the way following an 11-year run in the space. The sandwich shop ended up moving to 2128 Pearl St. Now that location finds itself in the way of new condominiums. On March 27, Snarf’s again closes with hopes of finding yet another new location in Boulder. Jimmy “Snarf” Seidel hopes customers stop by to leave their memories on a community chalkboard that will find a home in the new location. Plus, for a $5 donation, customers can get an Italian, turkey, ham, roast beef, or veggie sandwich with chips and a drink. The funds benefit Attention Homes, which provides housing for homeless and at-risk youth in Boulder County. Of course, Snarf’s has grown to more than 20 locations spanning Denver, Austin, Texas, and St. Louis." - Susan Stapleton

6/5/25 Update: I have received a refund. Update: I sent an email to marketing on May 27th as suggested by the owner and a week later have not received a response or refund. On May 8th, I placed an order in the app and when I showed up at the restaurant, they were very busy. After waiting well past the time the order said it would be ready in the app, I decided to cancel the order. The app said I needed to call the restaurant so I walked over to the cashier and asked to cancel my order. He took my name and I was assured me that I would receive a refund. After leaving, I realized that he hadn't taken the order number, so I called. The person who answered said they didn't need the order number and I was again assured that I would get a refund. Three weeks later, I have not received a refund.

Don’t go here. The other location is actually pretty decent. This place has some of the most unprofessional staff I’ve seen and clearly don’t care about the food they’re handling whatsoever. The sandwiches are awful despite the ingredients being fine. Multiple times I’ve shown up to pickup an order and although there was nobody else in the store, they didn’t start the order until I walked in and then didn’t turn down the music to call my name. Please take away their aux privileges.

Paul N.

Google
Anders Peterson, I’ve placed many DoorDash orders with this store with great customer service. There is no way to add sides on the app and my wife called to pay for additional sides like we’ve done countless times before. Anders claimed the DoorDash order was locked (which is irrelevant because we were not trying to modify it) and failed to understand what she explained twice. When we asked to speak with another employee he claimed he was supervisor and to call back in 15-20 minutes because they have a lot of in person orders to take care of before rudely hanging up. Had to Uber there in person to get the sides I wanted to pay for. Get better kid.

Google
$18 for a New York steak sub, steak was bright pink and was definitely not cooked well enough - disappointed, and definitely overcharging for the food here. Do not recommend until they fix their quality control, and prices.

Google
Pretty cool sandwich joint. I forgot to ask them to leave off the jalapenos and my sandwich was too spicy for me. My son enjoyed his and said he'd go back, so overall a good choice for lunch.

Google
Pastrami with all the fixings is one of my favorite sandwiches in Boulder

Sadly, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten food at Snarfs where the order is right. Regardless if I order online or in person, the modifications I make due to allergies always gets added anyways and I end up just throwing money down the drain and sandwich in the trash. I give up trying to get food at this location.

Google
Just finished my sandwich and had to write an amazing review. (12pm jan 8th these guys need a raise!) Not sure if the employees were bored or just THAT enthusiastic and friendly to see me, a random customer. The sandwich (vegetarian add turkey on wheat) reflected the love, kindness and care of the workers inside. Thanks Snarfs in Boulder!!!

Yelp
Food Quality: **** Service: *** Setting: *** Cost: *** Snarf's Sandwiches has been a go-to for me for a long time. The sandwiches are always filling and packed with flavor. While they've gotten a bit expensive over time, I'd say they're still worth the price tag because you're getting a solid, hearty meal every time. I love how much meat and toppings they pile into their sandwiches--definitely not a place where you're leaving hungry! The service is generally good, but it can sometimes feel a little rushed during busy hours. The setting is casual, which is great for a laid-back meal, but it's not somewhere I'd go if I was looking for a fancy atmosphere. Overall, Snarf's is a great option if you're looking for a filling, delicious sandwich that will hit the spot. Just be ready for it to cost a little more than it used to!

Gregg G.

Yelp
Great sandwiches. Had the French dip and recommend. Did not like the Big Pickle. Used to more dill flavor. Would go back again.

Amber M.

Yelp
I hate it, but Snarf's has become just ok for me. The food is still good, but you just get so little of it for the price that it's getting hard to justify. Service and ambience are fine and parking is easy at this location. The sandwiches are still tasty, but the value is just long gone. I know profit margins are thin in the restauruant business and prices have gone up, but damn.... it was almost $40 for 2 sandwiches and a drink here and the sandwiches were just not big enough for that to be ok. I'm going to hold off moving forward. Sorry, guys.

Eva H.

Yelp
I wanted a sandwich, Snarf's offered delivery via Door Dash (of note: the driver took forever, but my sandwich was still kind of warm), and I was pleased. I lived in Philly so I'm a bit of a snob, but their cheesesteak was fine--well chopped steak, plenty of cheese, grilled onions were nicely done. Their homemade bread is lovely, and the jumbo pickle was indeed jumbo. It was more of a half sour which is less of my thing, but it was still tasty. I'd hit this place up again.

Kevin B.

Yelp
Laidback vibe with a cure for the munchies - sandwiches maybe aren't quite quality of ingredients of some other places, but this a difficult sandwich shop not to like. Crispy, crunchy bread - salty savory ingredients in every bite

Alfie S.

Yelp
This is the first time we have tried this place, my buddy has been talking about this for some time so we had to try! Pretty big menu so it took a minute to choose but i have to say that this is a legit sandwich option! Great bread and big sandwiches and seriously delicious, make no mistake this is expensive but wow it's good!

Lizza J.

Yelp
This is pathetic I order from this Snarf's about once per week and today got seriously shortchanged. There are maybe 4 tablespoons of egg salad on my 7" sandwich. If this happens again, I will not be patronizing Snarf's again.

Liz C.

Yelp
I went to Snarf's after getting a recommendation from a friend - and this place did NOT disappoint! The best part about this place is the BREAD. The bread is awesome. There are signs that say that they bake their own bread and it definitely makes a difference. The best way to describe this sandwich is "no frills" in a good way. It taste fresh and clean, a bit on the healthier side. It's different than Ike's sandwiches that are grubby and heavy sandwiches. Also the staff here were all super nice - they don't try to rush you and make you feel welcome at the store. This shop is in a plaza with a grocery store so there is a good amount of parking! Restrooms were also pretty well maintained!

Shawn N.

Yelp
Anytime I am in Bouder, Colorado for work you can believe my dog and I are getting sandwiches from Snarfs! I first learned about this shop delivering Door Dash for them. The friendly staff of college students were always polite and a pleasure to talk to if I had a short wait for the order to be finished. This and the mixture of fresh smells is what drew me to grab lunch for myself one day The bread is everything you would want from a sandwich bun and the choices of different sandwiches is almost overwhelming as they all sound so good. I always go for the Smoked Brisket with BBQ and cheese though I could eat them all. I always sit outside at the tables while I enjoy my food and watch the city go by in fast forward. The inside seating is nice as well but during certain times of the day it gets so busy inside the shop it is hard to have a peaceful meal unless you sit outside. This is a highly recommended sandwich shop for a quick stop, or a grab & go lunch located in the heart of Central Boulder. If you are in the area or even packing sandwiches for a day at the park, make sure to keep Snarf's at the top of the list.

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
Another review that begins with I've been thinking about Snarfs off and on for 20 years. Yes, another Boulder business that has stood the test of time! This was my spot for sandwiches when I was in college eek almost 20 years ago. That Italian sandwich, while not authentic at all, was, and still is, just so good. Good for post sammy hikes, good for hungover mornings, you name it. And it still lands! That salty, cured meat with the works is so good. It's heated too, and I don't even love heated sandwiches. The bread is crispy, the toppings are plentiful. Snarf's, you've expanded and you're still crushing the sandwich game. This location was kind of clean enough with a few tables outside.

Sam R.

Yelp
I got the motherclucker sandwich and it most definitely gave me horrendous food poisoning. I ended up in the ER. I didn't eat anything new or out of the ordinary except for this over the weekend and became extremely ill.

Clay J.

Yelp
Um, terrific... as the legend foretold. My son had his first meatball sandwich here and it changed his life.

Amy H.

Yelp
No wonder why they toast all the bread- because it's stale AF. I actually understand saving the bread...BUT if a customer asks for it NOT toasted- get a fresh bun from the stack of them in the corner!!! A 35$ lunch for 2 it's is very upsetting.

Miranda D.

Yelp
Every time I order they get it correct and tastes amazing! Love stopping there for a quick and filling sandwich.

Lola F.

Yelp
My husband and I shared a pastrami Swiss sandwich. It was excellent. Lots of pastrami, the bread was toasted perfectly, and the flavor was just right. Highly recommend.

Clayton E.

Yelp
I understand that when you have younger workers you can't always expect the pinnacle of professionalism, but it would of been nice for them to at least made my sandwich rather then telling me it'll be a while till they eventually kept making excuses on why I should just leave for 15 minutes (in which time they could of just made a sandwich). In all honesty go to any of the other stores in the area, at least there you'll get a sandwich.

Ben T.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Half a dozen people waited on their sandwiches while the staff of 16 year-olds joked, walked around, and did anything but put together their singular job of making sandwiches. All customers just looked around in amusement. I'm still here and have accepted I may never receive my sandwich.

Roger W.

Yelp
During a recent business trip to Boulder, I had the opportunity to enjoy a couple of different sandwiches at Snarfs! Day #1. A Roast Beef w/ Provolone cheese hit the spot. Day#2, a Meatball sandwich was delicious. Great food at great prices along with a friendly staff makes me want to make tracks to Snarf's the next time that I am in town.

Chrissy R.

Yelp
Starved when I got off the plane but wanted hearty, good Colorado food and I found it! Super fresh, chalk full of toppings and love a good toasted bun. 5", 7" or 12". Better than a lot of NY delis! Friendly staff respecting covid protocols a plus too. Highly recommend!

Tamara A.

Yelp
Had lunch here recently. Sandwiches are WARM which I love. Both the ones we ordered were delicious. Will definitely come back and try more on the menu. Also noticed the menu says they make their own salad dressings. Definitely want to try those too.

Ryan B.

Yelp
I was told on multiple occasions by locals that this was the best sandwich shop in Boulder and this place is really good. Highly recommend

Kelli H.

Yelp
Good size delicious sandwiches. Similar to Quiznos. Service was a little slow but nothing to deter me from returning.

Sasha B.

Yelp
So excited that this new location is finally open! As I'm on their e-mailing list I received an invite to come in for the day of their soft opening. This space previously housed Jersey Mike's and is conveniently located near to Hazel's Liquors. The parking lot is also larger than at the prior Pearl street location. All tips for the soft opening benefitted a local food pantry organization :) Staff was friendly, efficient and cheerful. My sandwich (the Italian) was amazing! The bread was fresh, and each bite was bursting with flavor. Can't wait to go back today for National Sandwich day!

Bongerson B.

Yelp
bro. how do you forget to add chicken on a sandwhich called 'mother clucker'. it a whole chicken sandwhich. they always forget to add base ingredients or remove requested things when you order online. please FIGURE IT OUT PLEASE ‼ sheesh louise

Paul S.

Yelp
This is the place to go for utter confusion!! No idea which line is which - pick up or pay and people standing in wrong line So my next trip I called ahead and went to pick up my sub 1/2 later and it still was t ready!!

George S.

Yelp
Good Italian sub! The hot peppers are delish, and I recommend this place. Go for it!

Alex K.

Yelp
Snarf down a decent sandwich. This place rocks! Got the roast beef and provolone with all the toppings and it was delish. This place is so much better than Subway. We bought some in the morning for hiking the Flatirons later in the day.

Benji S.

Yelp
I love Snarf's sandwiches! I did not like the Cubano. I should have researched more. The meat is pulled apart I'm guessing but tasted more like ground up. I just assumed this would have sliced meats like every Cuban sandwich I have had. I'm sure many like this sandwich it just wasn't for me. It was disappointing to spend so much on a sandwich that I did not enjoy.

David R.

Yelp
Great sandwich shop. My wife, Kathy, Italian sandwich and I got the special of the day which was a Cuban. A little bit Sandy, but well worth it. Sandwiches refresh delicious and I agree Brad. We will return.

Greg L.

Yelp
Thank you Yelpers for helping my find places like this when I travel. My crew was hungry and I did not want to do fast/food burgers. I found this place and can't wait to come back. Unfortunately I live in Houston so it might be a while. Staff is very friendly and maybe stoned but also upbeat. Everything was excellent and place is clean which is important. I had the Italian and my son had the pastrami. I am so glad we split them between us as the pastrami was da bomb but not sure I could eat a whole one in one sitting as it is rich. Love this place and it lived up the reviews. Also, kids got some laughs because I kept saying Snarf Snarf all the time in reference to the Thundercat's mascot. Snarf is the owners name this place is not name for Thurdercat's fat cat.

Dave K.

Yelp
Even better. It has been three weeks since I got the bad snarf. I was contacted by the business owner, to make things better I thought. Now I think that was just what he thought would make it look like he was fixing my problem. I have still not received an apology. I again ask, whatever happened to good service in Boulder? I would give this attempt to remedy this problem zero stars but this site needs at least one to post these comments.

Paul G.

Yelp
Salad sandwich and go there again. Staff was friendly just a little deli sandwich shop. I got a big sandwich. I'm usually a big eater I could barely finish it.

Arshan A.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed. My favorite sandwich has always been a snarfs blt but this location I know for sure has been skimping me on my bacon [I ordered it twice from them to make sure and now I'm sad]. It should be called and LTB because there is t even enough bacon to cover the surface of the sandwich and before the sandwiches came with a substantial amount that not only covered the surface but also had several layers of bacon. This is a disgrace to one of the easiest sandwiches in mankind's history. I'm sad and this is sad...........

Jeffrey F.

Yelp
If you like sandwiches, then swing by period. I got the Italian Sandwich and it was just overall very balanced. This place knows how to put ingredients on a bread and not have anything fall. The Italian is served hot, both the salami meats and bread are toasted. Ingredients inside taste fresh and overall I would come again. If you'd like to keep up with my travel food journey, feel free to check out my IG @eathoppier

Renee P.

Yelp
The best sandwich shop in Denver! Best pickles and bread too! Fresh! Great staff so friendly.

Joshua R.

Yelp
Pretty good sandwich (got the artichoke provolone) - but everything kind of lacked flavor. I think if the artichokes or mushrooms added were marinated/grilled beforehand it would be a flavorful sandwich. The artichokes seem to be the canned in water kind. I'm wondering if they use organic bread and organic produce (would think so at this price but will ask next time). I had requested extra mayo and mustard but there seemed to be none, making this quite dry. Love the hot peppers. I ordered online and estimate was 60 minutes- busy on weekends so plan accordingly! Was finished in an hour and 10. Cool drawings on the wall in chalk markers. Nice seats. Thanks

Robert B.

Yelp
Snarfs is by far my favorite sandwich shop(s). Independently owned the quality and service is leaps ahead of their competition. I regularly visit Snarfs when coming to Colorado and have also snuck into one of their locations it the St. Louis area. A great sandwich!

Owen H.

Yelp
Great sandwiches, great people! My Buddy ranked his sandwich an 8.64/10. He got the turkey and Swiss with all toppings.

J B.

Yelp
New to Colorado, and everyone kept mentioning Snarf's to me. They were right. This is the best fast food chain sandwich place that I've ever had. Everything's large and toasted. A little bit pricey, but the food quality here is far above and beyond its competitors. We've been working through the menu. The roast beef and provolone sandwich is surprisingly good. Rare beef put in the toaster and comes out medium. Lots of onions. The turkey sandwich is your boilerplate turkey sandwich with a lot of turkey, and if that's what you're looking for you're going to be very happy. The pastrami sandwich is a surprise hit and could compete with most delis. You're not going to get Katz's here, but the flavor, pickling, and cut are spot on. The Italian is good, in this case not as good as your local Italian deli (how could it be?), but a quality sandwich several tiers better than any other fast food joint that you'll find. So far Snarf's is batting .1000 with us. Nice work.

Lynne C.

Yelp
Really filling sandwiches!! Popped in quick before going to Chautauqua park for a brisk hike and was not disappointed! Loved their variety of soups and sandwiches, crunchy baguette, and appreciate their COVID protocols. Although there were only a few tables outside, everyone was very respectful of space. Note that all sandwiches are toasted but I'm sure you could ask otherwise if you'd prefer!

Ashley E.

Yelp
Always had a good time going here for lunch in Boulder. I love their sandwiches so much I'd eat one on Monday and then still want another on Tuesday. It was always busy during lunch but they operated a smooth running business and I always got my sandwich quickly. My favorites are the Italian and Prime Rib. Really good quality meat and lots of it!

Justin S.

Yelp
Ordered a sandwich online for pickup and was very disappointed to discover that none of my order's details were fulfilled: requested no mayo, but ended up with a sandwich slathered in it; requested and paid for additional meat, but definitely none added; requested wheat bread, got white; and even the toppings that are included standard with all Snarf's sandwiches didn't make it onto mine. I know enough not to expect world class service from Snarf's, but I would have hoped accommodating basic requests related to my order wouldn't be too much of an ask.

Kseniya A.

Yelp
I am on a medical school rotation at the UCHealth across the street and all the nurses and medical assistants recommended this place. I went for lunch last week. Colorful decor and super nice staff. I got the 5 inch Italian sandwich which I thought was enough to hold me through the rest of the day (although I would recommend the 7 inch if you're hungry). The Italian sandwich had a lot of meat and was super flavorful, 5/5 would recommend. My SO likes the BLT and told me he goes to the Denver locations often. 4/5 stars only for lunchtime 12-1 PM inconvenience. They were short staffed and made this clear to me. I waited 40 mins to get the sandwich which I did not expect (I expected more fast food service). Apparently they have an app where you can order online so I will try that out next time. I think it's important to keep in mind Boulder restaurants can get super busy. I'll be back!

Max P.

Yelp
Best sandwiches in town. I work nearby and grab a sandwich here all the time! Personal favorites are the cheesesteak and meatball sub, but all their options are good. Staff is super friendly and the service is usually pretty quick unless it's a busy day. Love Snarf's! Support local business!

Ryan H.

Yelp
If you're looking for a good sandwich at a great price, Snarf's never disappoints and they have better quality by far than the big sandwich chains

Moeen C.

Yelp
I went on a small vacation in Colorado and my friend told me to try out Snarf's if I like sandwiches. The sandwich that I had from there was easily one of the best sandwiches that I've ever had.

Fergie M.

Yelp
Everyone has that one sandwich... that one sandwich that got away! The vegetarian sandwich at Snarf's is the one my heart and stomach long for. After moving to California, all I can do is daydream about eating Snarf's once again. My fiancé made a trip out to Boulder several months ago visiting from CA. He laughed when I begged him to bring me back a Snarf's sandwich and appeased me by bringing home a jar of their delicious giardiniera. Someday my beloved sandwich and I will meet again!

Nicole P.

Yelp
I've been eating Snarf's since it was a shack across from Spruce Pool. My kids grew up snarfing. One worked there. The best yummy sandwich on the Front Range.

Geoff P.

Yelp
DE-FUCKIN-LICIOUS. I told the guys that I had tried every other sandwich in the world, so their "world's best sandwich" title was about to be tested. The team was unphased. They said "well, we won best sandwich in Boulder!" And brother lemme tell you, they earned it. Of course I was lying about trying every sandwich in the world, but even if you have... You'll enjoy snarfs. Go check'em out. Seriously. Do it.
