Three Summer-Friendly New Food Stops to Make Around Denver This Week - Eater Denver

"The Colorado-born chain has plenty of breakfast cocktails and hearty brunch offerings to get the day started. Pineapple upside-down pancakes or huevos rancheros are good bets, along with the morning margarita or boss hog bloody mary." - Josie Sexton

Light fluffy pancakes. Green chilli will kick you butt. If you like heat it is enough to clear a Gringos sinuses. Gravy is the best I have had in Colorado outside of mine. It is not gritty, smooth and very flavorful. Tatter round wonderful. Pull a part to die for.

Google
Food is so good. Definitely recommend the crab cake Benedict and pancake . Ordered crab cake Benedict, keto bowl, pineapple pancake Decaf coffee can be refilled but I can feel there is caffeine as I’m sensitive to caffeine

Google
This was our 2nd visit to Snooze. Nice size mimosas. French toast is delicious, soft on the inside with a light crunch on the outside. The atmosphere was nice. We didn’t wait long to be seated. Servers were friendly and attentive. The kitchen accidentally added coconut to my order and had it remade and back out to me in no time. Nice size menu selection.

Google
What an amazing breakfast. No wait time for a party of 2! Weird that they served our tea and hot chocolate in a pint glass. Service was so good.

Jim Conley

Google
Snooze is a national breakfast chain which is pretty consistent across sites in terms of food and service. There are a variety of breakfast options and drinks. The flight of pancakes is a good choice to sample three of the pancakes on offer. The egg dishes are good too. They had a limited time breakfast carbonara at one time which sounded odd but was actually very good. The regular coffee isn't terrible, but I'd stick to espresso based drinks or juices here. Service is routinely good across sites. Here, it was fast and friendly. The space at this location is nicer than some. It has large glass windows letting in a lot of light. They do have guest Wi-Fi which doesn't require a password. Parking is not an issue.

Google
I hate to voice anybody a 3 star review but i think management should know. First we order the new sticky bread. I suggest to by past this. The menu picture did not represent that was played. I think we got yesterdays bread because it was so dry. The cooks need to season their food as well... we ordered 3 breakfast taco plates and all were different. I will go back to south glenn to get my snooze fix.

Google
Crab cake Benedict was great- minus the fact it's the only one to not come with hashbrowns, but ordered them anyways. Great drinks, wonderful service. Food was slow to come out- but prob bc everyone was ordering at once. Will definitely come back for more goodies!!

Wonderful breakfast! Went with our work family and had amazing food!

Yelp
Visiting relatives and had gone to Snooze in KC before and thought why not? One cousin loved everything she ordered. Other got strawberry cheesecake pancakes. They weren't the best. Our waiter offered another item and she opted for that Our server was awesome. We originally were seated in a booth right in the path of blazing morning sunlight. We were promoted moved without any problem.

Yelp
Close to my work and it's always packed, but they do well with service overall. If you eat in the summer, be warned they leave the doors open and it's just as hot inside as it is outside. This is one of the only downsides. Everything else is great.

Yelp
I've been to Snooze in DTC a bunch of times, and it never disappoints! I'm a huge fan of their Eggs Benedicts--they offer such a unique variety, and I've tried them all! My absolute favorite is the Pork Belly Benny: the meat is perfectly tender and flavorful, and the combination of flavors is just fantastic. And let's talk about the pineapple upside-down pancake... It's a must-order every single time! I highly recommend getting one to share with the table. It's fluffy, perfectly sweet, and topped with a vanilla crème--it's basically dessert for breakfast and it's amazing. The vibe at Snooze is always lively and fun, with friendly service that makes you feel at home. There's often a wait, but it's worth it, especially with their unique twists on breakfast classics. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable breakfast or brunch in Denver!

Yelp
Food, service and drinks were amazing. I love brunch and they delivered in a major way. Easy to find and parking was plentiful. I look forward to going back and trying more menu items.

Yelp
Snooze is a breakfast brunch spot chain with many locations that has an array of food offerings and fun seasonal menu items. The interior aesthetic is decorated with a mid modern century retro feel and is well maintained with clean tables and floors. However, a few things to point out that are lacking with the overall experience would be the speed of service and taste of the food. While the staff is very friendly and somewhat attentive, don't expect to have a quick meal from start to finish. I went with a group of people around noon and it is busy. I would recommend making a reservation if you're limited on time and are planning to go around lunch time hours. I saw that there were new summer drinks on the menu and decided to try out the Butterfly Lemonade, since I'm very keen on the lavender flavor. It was good, though I finished it long before the food arrived and sat with an empty glass in front of me for a while before flagging down a staff member for water. As for the food, the portions are decent and the flavors are just fine. The hollandaise for the Benedict's are heavier than your traditional sauce as it's made from cream cheese, so keep that in mind if you have more of a dairy intolerance. All in all, I think Snooze is a place to try if you're looking for a nicely decorated spot with decent food, but be careful not to go in expecting to have a quick or cheap meal. I wouldn't say it's the best breakfast food I've had and it's certainly not the worst. Though, for a restaurant that specializes in breakfast items, I was hopeful it would be a place I would recommend to others with enthusiasm instead of mediocrity after going a few of times.

Yelp
This is a pretty modern place. I was afraid it was going to be just another fru fruit breakfast place with weird ingredients and fad foods. I would say it was a well thought out spin on breakfast classics. We ate here a couple times and was impressed both times. I don't think you can go wrong!! Do it!
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of my favorite breakfast places. I love the food variety , especially the Huevos Rancheros or the Eggs Bennies (several kinds). The pancakes are large and delicious, especially the blueberry danish. OMG French toast is a favorite. Bacon is thick. Coffee is good. "Good Coffee doesn't need sugar or cream!" Can be a little pricey.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Snooze--so much that my friends and family gift me Snooze gift cards regularly. Today, I tried a new location, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to my usual experience. We ordered a flight of pancakes and the chile verde Benedict, all at once since we were pretty hungry. Twenty minutes later, our food arrived--but it wasn't what we ordered. Instead of the Benedict, we received two plates of chilaquiles, along with a flight that was actually two pancakes and a piece of French toast. We let the food runner know about the mix-up, and they took the plates back. We kept the flight, figuring it would tide us over since we were starving and didn't mind a little French toast. After another 20 minutes, our correct meals finally arrived. Unfortunately, the quality and quantity of the chile verde Benedict were disappointing. I've had this dish many times before and was surprised to see it rushed and noticeably lacking. For a total of $54.54, we ended up with two small plates that barely made up one meal's worth, along with a partial flight. I understand things can get busy, but I would expect consistent quality and portions, especially at a place I usually love.

Yelp
I had not been to this Snooze location and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't too busy inside as they had several seating options on the patio on this warm day. Service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the chilaquiles which had a lot of flavor but not much spice. Decided to split their Pancake of the Week/Month - Celebration Pancake. It was a party in my mouth with buttermilk batter with rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate chips topped with sweet cream drizzle and whipped mascarpone. $0.25 of the proceeds are donated to the Trevor Project. Chill yet colorful vibe that is LGBTQI+ friendly. Bonus, Snooze now takes reservations online for weekdays, M-F, so you can skip the regular long wait.

Yelp
Nice to sit outside on a sunny day and enjoy a slow breakfast. Shocked at the length of waiting list, so signup early. Having the option to split the eggs Benedict is a great idea 'cause they all look so good!! And they're not messing around with the hot sauce options too. Had a specialty latté, don't remember which, only that it was pricey for what you get. Thankfully server offered to top me up w refill.

Yelp
This is Suzanne in the wheelchair. I love the food and the service everytime! Love the corn beef hash, green chili hollandaise and shrimp and grits. The food is never what you think it will be, but better.

Yelp
Eep, Opp, Ork, Ah-ah! Don't hit the Snooze... wake up and go! You'll love the retro meet the Jetsons vibe of Snooze. It's a modern day 60s / 70s diner with fun and bright decor. It'll surely snap that morning grogginess right out of you! If it doesn't, have no fear. The friendly staff serves good ole fashion bottomless, your cup is constantly topped off coffee, as well as, various fancier espresso cups of joe. Or if it's "that kind of morning", they can even mix you up a lil' hair of the dog to zip n' zap you back to the present moment! You'll have the option of ordering a wholesome classic breakfast or something more adventurous. They don't have any 3D printed food but they have put some fun twists on traditional bites: a variety of benedict's, pancakes, scrambles and more. My automated order is the Corn Beef Hash with two poached eggs. It's robotically perfect every time: salty, savory and alil' crunchy from the crisp of the potatoes. It puts my taste buds on a happy autopilot cruise to an enjoyable and filling breakfast every time! Anywho, hope this review will help you plan a future trip to Snooze!
google avatar

Diana R.

Yelp
The hip diner feel with bright colors will pull you in, welcoming staff will soften the sometimes long wait times, and the food and drinks will absolutely live up to the hype. Pancakes and French toast with be unique flavors, second to none. My favorite is the corn beef hash or one of their Benedict's. I'm a regular and invite everyone here!

Yelp
This is such a great place for any family to go! We loved it. In addition it's the only place I have ever been they doesn't up charge you 3-6$ for gluten free options. Even better they don't up charge for asking for vegan options. The only disappointment was they don't have vegan and gluten free pancakes but I get it they won't meet a quality they want to serve. I always have to find what best for my kiddo who can't have dairy eggs and gluten and it can be a challenge. We loved the location and your wait won't be long because they have plenty space inside and outside for fantastic time. Service is good and the food is good. You gotta check this out and Dow load the app for rewards.

Yelp
I came here with a friend on a Saturday morning - we both ended up getting a version of their eggs benedict. I got the Ham Benedict III. I think that was a great execution on the breakfast classic. The English muffins were perfectly toasted and buttery. The poached eggs still had the beautiful runny yolk. The hollandaise sauce was super creamy and had that slight tang. I also absolutely loved their hash browns. Although its not crispy, the seasoning was really good. This is a definitely a solid place for brunch.

Yelp
The food is always dependable at Snooze, even between locations. Portions are great, flavor is just right, and they do a good job bringing out everyone's food in sync. I love sitting on the patio! The patio service is just as good as being inside. Inside can be a bit noisy and feel cramped. Their brunch cocktails are a decent price.
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
Plenty of parking available! Great brunch spot! Placed our group on the wait list prior to arriving. Probably the best thing I could have done. It is easy and fast. The location is amazing!! The service was outstanding!! Our server was outstanding and recommended some fabulous dishes. Don't forget to order the spicy Bloody Mary! It truly is everything they say it is!!! My husband had the strawberry shortcake pancakes and I had the spuds deluxe. To say they were AMAZING is an understatement!!! Will definitely be going back again! They have outdoor seating as well!!
google avatar

Pixie M.

Yelp
Such a fun bright spot for a delicious brunch! This weekend we popped over to the DTC location and had such a great experience. We sat at the bar and received wonderful service, even as both bartenders were making drinks almost non-stop our coffee mugs were always full. The menu has lots of choices of both sweet and savory Since my husband and I each ordered something more on the savory side, we ordered a side pancake to split.
google avatar

Jessie J.

Yelp
Sat at the bar St. Patrick's day & was not too difficult to get a seat. Service was great & the vibes were good per usual. I tried the chile verde Benedict & my only complaint was that I would have loved to have had more spice to it. I added my own cholula though, don't worry! The Blood Orange mocktail was great as well. And don't even get me started on this bacon. I want this bacon every morning PLEASE
google avatar

Allison S.

Yelp
Went to Snooze on Labor Day morning! It was a busy morning, we did have to wait. However, M-F they do have happy hour all day! I would recommend ordering the out of the box items on the menu. My friends ordered Monte Cristo Brioche toast and the Duo Benny (Avocado smash and Barbocoa Green Chile) and both loved them! My other friend and I got more basic breakfast items, like the Spuds Deluxe, which were good. The restaurant is very modern with some great music to complete the brunch vibe.

Yelp
Really great food. Awesome decor and ambience. Delicious chilaquiles! Owner and staff are super nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Such yummy sweet and savory food! Been coming here for over a decade, and you can't go wrong at any of the locations. Always loud and busy but family friendly.

Dustin J.

Yelp
Yum! Typical Snooze, they all get it right at every location I've been too! Tasty, attentive, great experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and drinks. I always enjoy snooze when visiting Denver. Service can be slow during busy hours but worth it!

Yelp
Great food and enjoyable ambiance. I love this place Snooze all day long!! You have to try this place

Yelp
After a terrible experience at the Colorado Blvd location, I decided to give Snooze another chance at their DTC location, and I'm glad I did! Our party of six visited on a Monday afternoon, and the restaurant was pretty empty. (So nice to be able to hear each other!) Our server, Ernie, promptly greeted us with waters and took our orders. The food arrived quickly, and every dish was prepared exactly as requested, leaving everyone satisfied. Standouts were the Sweet Potato Veggie Smash and the Chilaquiles. The combination of pickled onions, asparagus, mushroom salad and avocado on the griddled sweet potato with a perfectly cooked egg was a delight for my taste buds! We also shared the Bread Pudding French Toast, which was rich, creamy, and enjoyed by all. We had a wonderful meal and excellent service, so will definitely be returning to this location.
google avatar

Kirk M.

Yelp
I visited the DTC location today and the food was excellent. The service was lacking. This is the 2nd time I've visited in the last couple months and the hostesses are just so rude. My reservation said booth. So he takes us to a table. I ask for one of the open booths and you'd thought I asked him to move a mountain. He rolled his eyes and sighed, walked us over to the new table and didn't say a word. Why are the people that should be the friendliest are the worst? So rude.
google avatar

Sierra S.

Yelp
I've been a Snooze loyalist for years and have actually been dining at the spot since they opened in 2006. Unfortunately, as they've expanded and become a true "local chain" the quality has been on the decline. Known for their signature pancakes and delicious breakfast foods, the meal I had today was underwhelming. There was no pancake of the week flavor, so we opted for their longstanding blueberry danish which was pretty dry (even with syrup) and the burrata and prosciutto toast left me rather disappointed. Despite veering away from my usual today, I would recommend one of the Benedict's, they are usually a reliable order and Snooze has several variations. If you like your hash browns on the crispy side, I'd recommend ordering the hash browns extra crispy. They'll tell you that will take a few extra minutes but all together the food comes out rather fast.
google avatar

Graham K.

Yelp
I was dining alone so was offered a spot at the bar while the dining room was mostly empty. I wish I had asked for a table. Asked for coffee and I was super surprised to get luke warm and very weak coffee from a place that specializes in breakfast. This repeated itself so I guess it wasn't a fluke. Service was OK but the guy was super busy and I got to see all the drinks go flying by and glasses and cups getting washed. Did I mention that I wished I'd asked for a table? Also, there was a not so pleasant vibe between the dude serving at the bar and one of the waitresses that in another day I might have found somewhat amusing. Corned beef hash was great. Link sausages also quite good. My eggs were cooked perfectly. How would this be 5 stars? Good coffee at a table. Cheers.
google avatar

Danielle F.

Yelp
AMAZING service & even more amazing food! Cooked to perfection & was super warm all around; our waitress was absolutely perfect & amazing. Love the vibes here as there are friendly couples & families everywhere here. Be prepared for a long wait, especially if you're visiting on a weekend morning.... But it is certainly worth the wait! There is a reason so many people show up here for the food! For all the items posted (2 main dishes, dessert, & mimosas) it was under $40 bucks! Not bad at all; we will be coming back here for sure!
google avatar

Mia W.

Yelp
I went to Snooze on a Monday around lunchtime and there were plenty of open tables. They had very friendly staff/servers and amazing food. I had Juan's breakfast tacos - delicious and very filling. I would definitely come back here.
google avatar

Elena A.

Yelp
Came here to say for brunch, absolutely everything we ordered was amazing, perfect to catch up with friends and enjoy your morning.
google avatar

Ami S.

Yelp
Food was delicious the staff was lovely. Cleaned off our plates! Would recommend as a breakfast brunch hotspot
google avatar

Alexandria T.

Yelp
Love this place! Always get a mocha with coconut milk no whip... egg white omelette with lots of veggies and gluten free toast. Such a great, upbeat atmosphere and the service is always phenomenal. They take food allergies and sensitivity seriously so don't be afraid to ask for substitutions and adjustments Happy snoozin!
google avatar

Donna E.

Yelp
We love restaurants featuring fresh farm to table and local foods and have been going to Snooze for decades. The ambiance and service is excellent. I love the omelets and scrambles and ask for the cinnamon roll pancake. This pancake is not on the menu but if you ask for it, they will make it. So yum!!

Allison P.

Yelp
Staff is always nice, food is always well cooked and tasty. Only drawback is getting addicted to their seasonal specials just in time for them to disappear.
google avatar

Kairi K.

Yelp
Best breakfast food I've had in a long time. I got the Kimchee bloody and it was the perfect balence of spicy with flavor. Also ordered the crab cake Benny- and it was the best Benny over ever had. Staff was helpful and attentive. Excited there is one of these in my hometown!
google avatar

Mallory B.

Yelp
Phenomenal chicken sausage, hash browns, and over easy eggs! The service was so great here. I walked in to the bar area. A full group of people had just left. The bar tender apologized for the state of the bar, which I completely understood because they were so busy. She immediately wiped the counters down so I'd have a clean place to sit. She made me feel so welcome. I ordered my usual Classic breakfast. The service was wonderful, and so was the food!

Justin S.

Yelp
Don't order take out. Eggs will be overcooked. Hash browns will be under cooked. Bacon will be undercooked and chewy. Why include an option to include ketchup, hot sauce, utensils, etc.... If you're not going to include anything? Great when you dine in. Pretty bad if you order to go.
google avatar

Jordan B.

Yelp
Came to Snooze for brunch and it was a pretty good experience. Waitlist started around 45-50 mins, but got down to about 20-25 when we were seated. That was a great start. LOL! I've been to one of the locations in CLT, so ordered the corned beef with eggs again. Tasted the same and was happy about that. Also got the Beermosa (first time) and that was pretty good as well! Staff was great! Chandler (not Bing IYKYK LOL!) was a great hostess and she gave great recommendations and service. Ask for her if you go! LOL! Location was also good and plenty of parking in the lot and additional parking location as well. Give them a try if you're in the area!
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Had a great time today at Snooze! Christopher was wonderful. He was personable, funny and a great spokesman for Snooze. If you are in the area, stop in and ask for Chris, he will surely take care of you!
google avatar

Neema B.

Yelp
Been to snooze back home but first time visiting in Denver. As expected, there was a wait when we arrived but it went pretty quick and we were seated in about 20 minutes. Our server Chandler was really sweet and took great care of us. I ordered an abricalabra which was really good. For my meal I selected the sweet potato smash up w/bacon and an order of pineapple upside down pancakes which I split with hubby. The pancakes were amazing! I really enjoyed the sweet potato too. I'm always glad to see consistency between chain restaurants when visiting other cities and this was no different.
google avatar

Porshe T.

Yelp
Fabulous food, we loved the service, and the little extras like toys in the trees went a long way for our family.
google avatar

Maryanne L.

Yelp
Dined in for lunch during a week day. Luckily we were able to avoid the 1.5 hr wait that is the typical Snooze experience during the weekend brunch hours. After we were seated, no one came by to check on us for 14 minutes (I timed it). We had to ask to place our drink order with another server who passed by to take care of the table next to us and you could tell he was visibly annoyed at having to take care of a table that probably wasn't his section or turn. Once we received our drinks, again another 12 minutes before we flagged another waitstaff that wasn't our server to ask if we may place our food order with them. Only when our food was ordered and finally came out did our waitress come by and state that she is actually our waitress, as if we did something wrong by asking for help from other staff. Food-wise, I ordered the seasonal/special menu item short rib Loco moco for $19.50, and what I got was a small rice bowl that is approximately the size of a kids bowl from Qdoba. The short rib was probably around 4oz total, the gravy was nonexistent and my egg, cold. The restaurant was less than half full so I really don't even know why the terrible service and cold food. Do yourself a favor and do not order the Loco moco. Maybe just go somewhere else entirely to be honest for better portions, better service, and better food.
google avatar

Emily V.

Yelp
We love this location! Food and service is always great! Get there early to beat the wait and use the website to put your name on the list on your way. We prefer to arrive early before the wait starts and the noise becomes too much. If it's hopping you can't have a conversation above the loud music and crowd. Especially if you have young kids like we do, too much.
google avatar

Zoya Z.

Yelp
Snooze is delicious but expected; an enjoyable brunch always at any location. This location has hidden toys in the trees to look for if you are dining on the patio. Snooze never has fast service but it is always expected/typical service as they are always full and usually always have a wait. On weekdays, they have smaller portions available and they have a pancake of the month that's available as an a la cart.

Rj D.

Yelp
Quick seating, on a busy Sunday morning for brunch time! Service was wonderful, unique ambiance and interesting decor, Dora the explorer was very attentive! Food was delicious with generous portions and pricing is average for the meals we ordered. Sweet potato pancakes were da bomb.

Arthur M.

Yelp
Always great. Our favorite place for brunch. Always well done. Great service. See the attached photo.

Yelp
Honestly, not wowed. Service was really slow throughout. My French toast was cold and hard/stale. To the waitress's credit, she quickly offered to take it off the bill, especially when I told her to not bother remaking it once she told me it'd be another 10-15 mins to get a redo. Side of eggs were also cold. Coffees sat empty until we set our empty cups on the edge of the table, the cups just begging to be filled. My wife enjoyed her Benny with avocado, so at least that's something.
