Snooze’s Takeover of Houston’s Brunch Scene Continues - Eater Houston

"Snooze might be a Houston newcomer, but the chain’s rapid expansion in Space City continues with a new outpost slated for a familiar location. A leasing document for the Centre at Post Oak shopping center indicates that Snooze will take over the space at 5000 Westheimer Road vacated by Arcodoro, the longstanding Italian eatery that suddenly closed its doors earlier this month. The chain has yet to confirm this additional outpost, but Eater has reached out for more details on Snooze’s ongoing takeover of the city’s brunch scene." - Amy McCarthy

On Sunday May 18th 2025 I took my Mom for a birthday brunch, we arrived around 9:30am, the host was welcoming and walked us to our booth. Our server Ella then came over to introduce herself and asked if we wanted drinks and also informed us that alcohol isnt served until 10am on Sundays lol we were caught off guard not realizing we were there super early! But the overall experience was truly breathtaking considering my Mom’s actual birthday brunch experience the day before was a total disaster at a different establishment! Ella was the server we wished we had the day before she was so kind, big beautiful smile, I appreciated how she brung the condiments out to us before the food came out!!! Because the day before our server didn’t and we had to ask the bartender for assistance and our server never came back to apologize or anything. So Sunday at Snooze just me and Mom were just in WOW!!! The Manager (I forgot her name) she was super sweet she also came out to check on us and asked if everything was going good they offered my mom a vegan pancake which was really great!!! The food was fresh and perfect we couldn’t stop raving about our experience we ended the meal with some amazing cocktails!!!! They were perfectly made presentation was everything and tasty!!! I couldn’t wait to tell my sister we have to bring her next time! Thank you so much Snooze Galleria staff Ella you were amazing thanks for being so kind and attentive to us! We will forever remember this special day! See yall soon!!’

Butterfly pea lemonade 10/10 OMG French Toast 10/10 Staff & Service 10000000/10 Family loved this place so much, a second visit was necessary! ✨ Love that they have music going at a good volume, definitely need to make a reservation for groups larger than 4 so you don’t have to sit outside. Really appreciated the manager for being able to get my indecisive family seated inside, out of the heat!! They really went above standard services and were steps ahead on solving other issues.

Google
Sunday brunch always a great experience at Snooze! I was even blessed to see The GREAT Yulonda Adams today-that made my day. Not to mention the strawberry mimosa martini-cinnamon roll pancake on the side provided the exact amount of sweetness!

Google
To tell me it is your 2nd day and it was the best service I’ve had in awhile. Dwani, I will be back and looking for you! My family enjoyed Easter Sunday! She had great recommendations and was so friendly! Keep her. Server/bartender/host (myself) to restaurant mgmt — SHE IS GREAT!

Google
This is the best Snooze location because of Dwanisha! Best service and her recommendations were on-point and thoughtful. It’s very clear she wants to offer a great experience for guests. We’re visiting from out of town and will be back to this location to request her again. As per her recommendation, I ordered the Benny Duo with the Ham Benny and Smashed Avocado Benny and it was delicious. I didn’t love my side of bacon and I’ll pass on that next time, but would for sure order a Benedict again. My partner had pancakes and side of haberno pork belly. He enjoyed both! We also ordered their house coffee and a matcha latte. The latte was delicious and we appreciated Dwanisha’s efforts in making sure coffee was always full. She really was awesome and attentive. I took a Super Greens juice Togo. It was my first time trying one and I loved it! I will stop into snooze in my city just to take the juice Togo especially since I saw it’s juiced daily. All in all, our experience was a 10/10. Somewhat unrelated, but we had a bad experience at our hotel early in the morning and Dwanisha’s positive energy and good service really brought the mood up. Not exaggerating, she turned the morning around for the better. We will for sure be back to this snooze location specifically!

Great breakfast! I had the garden harvest omelet, and I loved the texture. The addition of asparagus and cucumber gave it a nice crunch.

Google
This was my 1st time at Snooze and they came highly recommended while I vacationed in Houston! Amazing service, meets amazing food with an added vibe!! I had to come back again before I left the city! They made my birthday special 💗 You MUST GO to Snooze especially if you're visiting Houston 🤩🥰

Google
This was my first time at Snooze I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. The wait wasn't long it was about 10 minutes to wait for a table. The smile but it's cozy, friendly and welcoming. The customer service was excellent, our server was very nice and very kind. The food was exceptional, I had the crab and asparagus omelette with a side of plant-based chorizo. I had for a beverage a lavender iced latte. It's a lot of parking spaces, parking is free. This location is in Houston by the galleria right across street from galleria.

Yelp
Whenever I need a good brunch, I'm running to Snooze AM Eatery. Today was the second weekend in a row that I went--except this time, I returned just to use my Pancake Flight reward before it expired the next day. And yes, I was a bit greedy. Luckily, since I was dining solo, I was able to be seated quickly--another reason I love a good solo brunch! My Pancake Flight consisted of the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Churro, and Strawberry Shortcake pancakes--every single one was a five out of five. I also ordered the Shrimp and Grits with a fried-hard egg. The grits were creamy, seasoned and the shrimp were cooked JUST right! Each time I go to Snooze, my waiter, coincidentally, is always Ant. He's super attentive and always makes sure I have plenty of water to wash down all that sweetness. Needless to say, I have a great breakfast to look forward to tomorrow because there was no way I could finish all of that in one sitting! If you don't already have the Snooze Rewards app, I highly encourage you to download it--that's how I got my Pancake Flight for free, and it was absolutely impeccable. I'll be back as soon as I find another reason to return... but I can't indulge too often, or I just might outgrow my summer clothes!

Yelp
Food was great ! Wait time was the only thing bad about my experience. Ambiance was great , service was good .
google avatar

Yelp
JUST TAKE the chilaquiles off the menu!! It's the most disgusting thing I've ever had! If you don't know how to make them it's fine just don't add them!! Really stale tortilla chips from a bag (not fried tortilla) cold black beans sure from a can cold green sauce from a can And god knows what else you try to add on Seriously you ruined my day with those disgusting chilaquiles

Yelp
Great place for breakfast or brunch. Nicole provided great help in what's good to order. The vibes are very relaxed and casual

Yelp
I love coming to this location during the week. There is never a crowd and the service is always excellent. Food is always fresh and hot! There is plenty of parking and a patio for great weather days.
google avatar

Ishika K.

Yelp
The food and drinks here were pretty good, however some of the things were a little dry compared to one of their other locations. The service was good, our server was super sweet! The ambiance is pretty much a standard brunch spot, but i love the bright colors! I got the strawberry shortcake pancakes which i thought were so good!! The drink i got was the boozy strawberry lavender lemonade which i thought was very refreshing and nice!! It is an alcoholic drink but was definitely worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
The service is fast and the staff are super friendly. You may wait a while for slightly above average breakfast food. There are some unique flavor pairings on the menu and the fresh juice is pretty yummy! When the restaurant is super busy, the restaurant can get really loud. Join the waitlist on yelp for faster seating.

Yelp
Love this place every time I go! Haven't made a bad selection from the food or adult beverage options. Waitstaff is always so nice and helpful making suggestions.

Yelp
Seems like the quality has declined since my last few visits over the years. I sat on the patio to enjoy a nice, light breakfast. I didn't like having the silverware laid bare on the table that had been sitting in the elements and with birds & bugs around. They could have atleast placed it on napkins. Then they seemed to have 2 servers outside so the service was really slow. I watched the guy go around to everyone's table even those that came after me, before taking my order. Then the matcha drink I ordered had lipstick on the cup so I asked for another one in a clean cup. I never got it. Then when I closed my check I thought he had removed it but he didn't. So I asked for it and they gave me one that had been sitting at the bar. I couldn't tell if it was the same or different one so I ended up throwing it away. This location isn't how it used to be but luckily there are other options around.

Yelp
I came here with my family for brunch. Inside was packed and very lively. Even with the crowd, we were seated right away. I ordered the sweet potato pancake and the Parmesan-panko crab cake Benedict. They were both really good. The sweet potato pancake was extremely rich and very filling. I tasted my sister's crab & asparagus omelet, which was just okay to me. Her strawberry shortcake pancakes on the other hand, were so yummy and also very rich and filling. My cousin's shrimp and grits were very flavorful and had a nice kick to it. I'd order it for myself next time. I don't typically care for sausage links, but the polidori sausage links that someone ordered were juicy. Our waiter also suggested a caramel iced coffee for me, which really hit the spot. Overall, it was a really good brunch and we all left extremely stuffed! I'll definitely be returning!

Yelp
So where do you go for breakfast, if you are in the Houston Galleria area? One good option, is the Snooze AM eatery. So that is where I ended up with several friends. I had previously conducted copious homework to arrive at this choice. What was most irriitating in the process was, the website has no easy to read or a friendly navigable menu. Why not provide an all encompassing pdf menu? Instead, you break up the menu into numerous parts and are geared for ordering on line. When we got there, the popular choice was the Avocado Toast. I had the half order, while the others had the full one. Also on our table was the breakfast burrito and the scrambled eggs. All the food was well presented, tasted super and was liked by all. Service was attentive, prompt and well delivered.

Yelp
This is a cute brunch spot to take people from out of town. It's not a place I would choose to go any other time. The food is good but nothing exceptional. It's incredibly clean and the retro vibe is super cute. The place is ALWAYS busy and that makes it hard to judge service. My waitresses are always nice and attentive but not super friendly because they're in a hurry (which i totally get). All in all, if you haven't tried it- grab a gf and go
google avatar

Brandi M.

Yelp
So this was a great surprise. I am embarrassed to say we ate here two days in a row. The service was THAT good . The food was amazing. Drinks top notch. And our server, she was everything. When I ordered each item of there was something that had an allergen, she asked if I was allergic . The colors are so eye catching . The decor matches the vibe. We will be back
google avatar

Yelp
Love the variety of choices for brunch. The ingredients are fresh and food tastes wholesome. My favorite beverages are the Chai hot or cold and the fresh pressed green juice for when I need to get my veggies in. Feeling like a light brunch, I ordered the smashed sweet potato (vegan option) topped with sautéed asparagus l, mushrooms and pickled red onion. The shiracha maple glaze was sweeter than it was spicy. I suggest getting it on the side. Service was pretty good. I decided to sit outside and the service didn't disappoint. Marianna greeted me cheerfully, made suggestions and checked on me a few times. What more could I ask for? It was around 12noon so obviously this location was packed with hungry patrons enjoying their convos and meal. The ambience was upbeat, staff were friendly and helpful. Overall I would visit this location when in the Galleria area.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery on Westheimer in HTOWN, and what a delightful experience it was! My son and daughter treated me to breakfast before a volleyball game, and it turned out to be quite the treat indeed. What's even better, I discovered that there are Snooze locations in Austin, so it looks like I'll be exploring their offerings there as well. For my breakfast, I opted for the Tacos, and they were a burst of flavor and creativity. Three fresh corn tortillas were generously topped with fluffy scrambled cage-free eggs, perfectly crispy hash browns, jack cheese, house-made green chile hollandaise, and pico de gallo. The combination was simply amazing, and the homemade green chile sauce took the tacos to a whole new level. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the presentation of the food, in general, was not just delicious but also charming. To add to the breakfast joy, my son and daughter ordered the signature Pancake Flight, featuring a combination of three of Snooze's most popular flight-sized pancakes. I had the chance to taste them, and let me tell you, those pancakes made me want to do a happy dance right there. They were light, fluffy, and simply delicious. The variety of flavors, including Pineapple Upside Down, Blueberry Danish, and Pumpkin Pecan, was a delightful surprise. Our dining experience was made even better by the excellent service we received. The host was welcoming, and our server, whose unique name I regretfully don't recall, was an absolute gem. She was busy but managed to provide us with top-notch service without missing a beat. The restaurant was not only clean but also free from any unpleasant odors. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with the delightful aromas of the delicious creations being prepared in the kitchen. In summary, my visit to Snooze on Westheimer was a fantastic way to start the day. The Tacos and Pancake Flight were both delightful, and the service and ambiance made the experience all the more enjoyable. I'll definitely be back to try more of their mouthwatering offerings, and I look forward to exploring Snooze in Austin as well. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Snooze is snooze! Busy on the weekends and you can join the waitlist here on Yelp before you pull up. The food is good, but in my opinion for a breakfast spot the amount of food is much smaller than mom and pop diners. My matcha was really tasty and I was fan. My meal was also prepped to perfection! Our server was super sweet!
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
Visited mid morning (9:30am) on a Tuesday. There was no crowd or line and we had no wait time and were seated immediately. The restaurant was nice & clean however the silverware had lots of wear & I requested plastic instead. Unfortunately I just missed the sweet potato pancakes but our server was patient, attentive and offered great suggestions from the menu to help us decide. I had the Monte Cristo Brioche Toast !! The raspberry pepper jam is sooooo good, my gosh! Every bite was flavorful. The Dijon citronette that topped the salad was a tasteful surprise, however, I don't think I'd like to try the dressing again.
google avatar

Juan P.

Yelp
Great food great service ambiance just like any other Snooze background music and lots of talking. The food is always great .
google avatar

Charlene E.

Yelp
I came here for breakfast with my family to feast. I ordered the crab and asparagus omelette and the strawberry shortcake pancake. The omelette was a bit of a let down and not what I was expecting, however, the pancake was very filling and the perfect cure for a sweet tooth. I also tried my sister's sweet potato pancake and it was a lot! A lot of goodness but so filling. I left there dragging my feet because I was so stuffed. The restaurant was kid friendly and very lively and busy.
google avatar

Jason O.

Yelp
Snooze is a fantastic breakfast spot with a vibrant and colorful interior. The service was friendly and quick and the food was delicious. During the week it seems easy enough to get a table but on the weekends there be a wait. Definitely worth the money! Enjoy.
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
Visiting the Houston area and was recommended here by a friend. The shrimp and grits were delicious. The morning marg was delicious and not too strong. The service was quick we didn't have to wait for a table and the food came out in a timely manner. Overall your classic diner vibe
google avatar

Keke D.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast and ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and sausage, with the house choice mimosa flavor orange. The pancake were good, but they didn't give much syrup. Not a big deal to ask for more. Bacon and sausage links were ok Mimosa 10/10. Would come back for more.

Keith A.

Yelp
The food was great! If you are Houston, do well to grab a bite from there. Our server did an excellent job!
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
One in our party is on a very restrictive diet and the server proved extremely helpful through her knowledge of the menu and possible off-menu alternatives. Oh, and the food was very good! Will return.
google avatar

Khaledah W.

Yelp
This place has the best Benedict's I've ever had. I consider myself a connoisseur so I was impressed. I came on a busy morning and waited about a half hour. The service was decent. The ambience was noisy and busy on this day. The next time we're in the Houston area we will definitely go back.
google avatar

Maria V.

Yelp
The food was great and the service was amazing. Dontae served us and was very attentive and pleasant. Will come back.
google avatar

Lillian D.

Yelp
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our meals. Donte suggested fried rice of some sort to my husband like he just knew my husband loved fried rice of any sort. of course hubby was a happy camper. I also enjoyed my meal. Although Donte was extremely busy, we didn't have to look far for him to get any assistance and he checked up on us consistently. We also heard a few songs that made us bob our heads. I love an outstanding customer service representative, they will have me asking for them because anything less just won't do for me. Donte epitomizes the person who every restaurant should employ. Thank you for being amazing!
google avatar

Terra C.

Yelp
First time visiting. I'm so glad the reviews on Yelp were accurate. I loved the vibe. The servers had a wonderful attitude and were happy. The raspberry pepper jam was perfect paired with the French toast and spinach salad. I almost couldn't finish it.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast after a longgg early morning flight from New York. The service was fantastic everyone was so friendly, accommodating, and professional! Really positive atmosphere. My boyfriend had two honey oat milk lattes because they were so delicious.Probably the best bacon I've ever had too!

Shelly R.

Yelp
Very good food and service. But a lot of the time there is a waiting time specially on the weekends but it's worth it. Is a very nice place to go have brunch with your friends but it's also good to go with your family. Either way. They have good specials during the week so if you want to go try it first is a good idea to go then. Over all I recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Cynthia G.

Yelp
This place is for vegetarian heaven. They have some protein but not that much. Overall, the place is clean and has a nice vibe. The waiter is nice and the price is reasonable.
google avatar

Quinn K.

Yelp
I've always heard about this place but had never been because I'm not huge on breakfast food but my friend and I came here randomly while walking the dogs and it was pretty good. We sat ourself outside and the staff was quick, friendly and helpful and very accommodating to our dogs. It was a Saturday about noon and while it was busy, there was no wait and a good amount of tables open outside. It's near a strip mall with plenty of parking. The menu was huge and they have plenty of vegetarian/vegan and low calorie options which is always great. Prices are slightly high-ish midrange, I got the avocado smash Benedict with tofu and it was about $18 for a kind of small serving of food. I also got an oat milk latte which was mediocre at best but whatever, even a bad oat milk latte is good. My meal came with hashbrowns that were not that crispy, nor well seasoned or flavorful but they were still very edible. The eggs Benedict was definitely better, but honestly not remarkable at all. Kind of tasted like I could easily make it myself at home haha but it was still yummy. Just a little bland if anything. My friend got a classic breakfast and said it was good but again, nothing special. I would return here but I wouldn't seek it out.

Aislynn G.

Yelp
The menu has a pretty big variety, but some of the food can be iffy. The coffee and drinks are pretty good. I came here by myself a few weeks ago and the bartender was super overwhelmed because she had a full bar, was taking multiple tables, and making drinks. Didn't see anyone come to help her. Honestly felt bad for her but definitely think management should take this into consideration by either helping her or adding another bartender. She was very sweet and gave good service despite being weeded.
google avatar

Chuck B.

Yelp
The people and vibe were cool, and I enjoyed one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever. The double bacon sandwich is a delicious combination of pork belly and bacon with arugula and cheese. It comes with a delicious sauce on the side and great potatoes. It reminds me of a sandwich I had in Atlanta years ago. I recommend checking it out.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
Blueberry streusel pancake was amazing then the strawberry one. The pineapple one, i liked the concept of it but i think it needed a little Something extra. The blueberry had cream cheese so it reminded you of a blueberry cheese cake sweet and savory, the sausage links were good and the eggs were good just wish the cheese was mixed in vs melted on top. I also taste the double bacon sandwich the pork belly was very good and seasoned. The sauce and home made pickles made it even better. I would recommend everything
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Perfect time to try this place, as it wasn't too crowded. It was a nice day so we sat outside to enjoy the sunshine. The OMG French Toast was amazing and the bacon flight was a great way to sample the different flavors. The corned beef hash wasn't as amazing as everything else but it was okay. Marcus was friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Visited while in town for a conference. Food was incredibly tasty! Service was great. Will go again for sure.
google avatar

Roselyn A.

Yelp
Grew up going to Snooze and they never disappoint. Quick and affordable breakfast spot.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Snooze is simply a great breakfast spot. Super relaxed and happy atmosphere and attentive staff. I got the chilaquiles off the new for spring menu and it was SO yummy! Totally hit the spot. All their bacon is great, but you need to try the Bacon But Different. It's got a little kick to it but the sweetness balances it out. Also the Mmm Mmm Mimosa was very good - definitely recommend!
google avatar

Marvelous M.

Yelp
The Crispy Garlic & Avocado Miso Rice Bowl is amazing. It's only on the Spring menu, but please add it to the normal menu!!! VICTORIA is an amazing waitress!!!! Tell them I sent you!!!
google avatar

Noleena B.

Yelp
It's simple. I came for the sweet potato pancakes and they did NOT disappoint! I did decide to sample the pancake of the day as well which was cookies and cream. I happened to fly into Houston on a layover and decided to go to Snooze. Hands down my favorite place to brunch when I fly into town.
google avatar

Gary C.

Yelp
Breakfast menu is vast and delicious. Service is really good with friendly staff. Restaurant is very clean and well lit
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
This place was delicious, I cannot wait till I can return. As you can see my friend and I ordered a bunch of things and they were ALL 5/5. We had the Smashed avocado benny, omg french toast & huevos tostadas. I highly recommend this eatery for dates, hanging out, or even going by yourself :) service was great - everyone here was friendly
google avatar

Chef J.

Yelp
Was actually a very nice brunch. Staff were delightful, good menu options and the design was pretty cool.
google avatar

Annie L.

Yelp
This was a cute clean spot with great service. I got the shrimp and grits , which came with an egg on it, and it was full of flavor. I got bacon, which was thick, crispy and delicious. I also got a margarita mimosa and this was really good. I would definitely recommend coming here.
google avatar

Armand V.

Yelp
Oh Snooze, the legendary breakfast spot that has swept the nation with locations all over the red, white, and blue. In the past, when trying to get breakfast at Snooze, I've either had to make a reservation or am awaited with a long and arduous wait when doing a walk-in visit. However, I came here on Memorial Day, and to my surprise, was immediately seated. The staff was incredibly friendly. With an extensive menu, Snooze is bound to satisfy anyone eager to have a delicious breakfast/brunch. We were feeling sweet, so we ordered the OMG! French Toast. This was accompanied by an Iced Matcha, and Iced Chai. We told the staff that we would be sharing the scrumptious French Toast, so they served it to us split. Wow! They Toast was phenomenal! Tasty, not too sweet, accompanied with strawberries, and just the perfect breakfast to get the body going. If you're looking for breakfast in the Galleria, you better not snooze on Snooze.
google avatar

Tim W.

Yelp
The food, the service is always on point weekends are more crowded. If you need a Bloody Mary after a busy Houston night this is the spot
google avatar

Monica W.

Yelp
First time visiting Snooze and had a great experience. I sat at the bar since it was just me. This place was hopping with people. And with a buzzy, energetic vibe, it's everything you need to wake up. I had the Sweet Potato Bacon Smash Up and it was yummy! Totally recommended it. I had the pleasure of having Meagan take care of me this morning . Wow does she hustle! She is fantastic! You can tell she puts customer service first. The service she provided was outstanding! I never had to worry about an empty glass, and she provided me with the status of my order. She was on her game. Zooming in and about the bar like a star. The best part was hearing regular patrons say " you're the best, girl! If my boys at the office would hustle as much as you, I'd be a millionaire!" She is a true asset to this establishment. I'm looking forward to visiting again. Cheers!

Yelp
Our first visit, and we had a late breakfast. We sat outside because the weather was pleasant. The food was good and we were hungry so we ate everything up. Their version of corned beef hash is hashbrowns with big chunks of corned beef (like half inch cubes). Nothing wrong with that, but that's a different style than the more commonly seen diner-style hash. Very oddly, the coffee was so bland that it did not taste like coffee at all. I had to trade in my coffee for a latte. The waiter acknowledged that somebody might have accidentally made an exceptionally weak batch of coffee. So that was a disappointment, but we will likely try this place again.
