"We Suki Suki was our usual pho spot in EAV but since they closed, we come to So Ba when we need a fix. The small, unassuming green exterior is matched by their laid-back interior that squeezes in roughly 10 tables, which are always filled. Whether you’re having a casual date night, eating with your new baby in tow, or grabbing a cơm or bun dish with friends before hitting the bars, anything goes here. But the pho is the highlight with three sizes and eight different options (they’re all tasty). Order one with brisket and get extra for $3 because it melts in your mouth, and we always leave wanting more. " - juli horsford

"So Ba isn’t on the main drag of EAV, so it’s a little harder to accidentally stumble across, but we think their pho alone makes them a worthy landmark. "Billed as a Vietnamese noodle house, So Ba is a local hangout for bowls of hot pho and bún dishes in the heart of East Atlanta Village. Pho here comes served in small, medium, or large portions, too. Owned by chef Nhan Le (Fishmonger), So Ba adjoins with Octopus Bar, which opens after the Vietnamese restaurant closes for the night." - Eater Staff

So Ba had delicious food and huge portions. We got the large bowls and had pho for the next three days. The service was speedy and friendly. We’ll be going back for sure.

Worst order of my life and I have dined here several times. Ordered through Uber Eats and the quality was terrible. The Goi Cuon was broken open because of old rice papers and the vegetables were brown inside, the Pho broth was only halfway full and SO salty, barely any herbs, AND I ordered an extra side of herbs which weren’t included at all. Over Eats said the restaurant refused to refund me and I hope this truly isn’t the case. This is too expensive for the poor quality I received. I could go to Buford Highway for half the price and the quality would be ten times better.

Loved it! Food, ambience, atmosphere. Try the limeade- thank me later ;) nothing better than a refreshing drink with a hot, spicy bowl of pho😋. I love their house made chilli sauce/hot sauce.

I just have to take a moment to shout out Soba Vietnamese Restaurant for the amazing positive energy and warm, welcoming atmosphere that seems to be the new standard there! I’ve left a review before, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to share another after today’s experience. Ben, who took my order over the phone, was exceptionally pleasant and calming, and that same welcoming spirit carried over when I picked up my food. It’s rare to encounter such consistent kindness and professionalism, and it truly made me feel valued as a customer. Whatever changes have been made at Soba are definitely working, because the difference in the customer service experience is light years ahead of what it used to be. Kudos to Ben for going above and beyond, and to the management and entire team for creating an environment where patrons feel like they truly matter. Whether dining in or taking out, it’s clear that Soba is committed to making every experience exceptional. Keep up the great work!

Food: My short ribs had burnt ends but the non-burnt pieces were good Service: I sat at the bar so my service was okay. The one star comes from a group who sat in the bar area but wasn’t served. That group eventually left. Another group sought to sit in that same place and the bartender lets that group know that she will come by

Truly one of my favorite go to spots. I’m obsessed with the fried tofu with extra veggies dipped in hoisin sauce, and I personally am on a chicken pho kick. Love their broth so much. Honorable mention to the filet and fried rice too. Vibe is good, usually always spots to sit. Service can be inconsistent but there are a couple great ones in there. It’s a delicious eav gem.

So Ba is heavenly! I have to come here regularly to get my fix. The tofu appetizer is so crispy and the Com Tom (shrimp) with fried rice stays on my mind. The vibe is relaxed, and the service is always good. One of the many reasons why EAV is my go-to.

I am a pho lover! This place was truly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a pho restaurant. For starters walking in , there was no customer service. No greeting and I had a lot of waitresses just walk past and they weren’t even busy. The waiter or waitress we had was very rude , I had to repeat everything to them as if they weren’t right in my face talking to me. & there was no music playing at all. So I’m sure they were trying to be funny. The food was very bland , I paid for extra shrimp just to only get 3 measly shrimps in my pho lol. & don’t even bother with the drinks at the bar , it tasted like straight syrup. I don’t like spending my money at establishments that treat me like I’m a bother.
