I was really excited to try this burrito place based on reviews I had seen. It was early in the morning so they didn’t have the carne asada one that seems popular. So, I went with their breakfast burrito. I saw they had turkey bacon and thought that was nice. But, when it was time to try, I was a bit disappointed. I think that bacon was too strong and took the taste out of it. My stomach didn’t feel too good after. So, if I do come back I will have to try the one with carne asada. But, the breakfast burrito was a disappointment for me.

Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and got their Signature Burrito because they were out of their Carne Asada Burrito unfortunately. It’s basically a Middle Eastern style and flavored burrito made to go style. It’s located inside The Colony which is a kitchen shared by 20 different restaurants. When you enter your order at the counter or kiosk and then they bring the food out to you in to go bags. You can also order ahead of time and pick up or even use food delivery services. I will say that service is a bit slow because we had to wait about 25 minutes for our 2 burritos to come out which I think is a bit odd for a to go oriented place. It’s also important to point out that this is not a restaurant with sit down service, it’s more of a place where you grab and go. Parking in this area is pretty easy although they don’t have a dedicated parking lot so it will most likely be metered or free street parking. As mentioned the flavors are Middle Eastern which in general, I really like, but not so much for a burrito. I crave the traditional Southern California style burritos and this did not really taste like that although I really did enjoy it overall just not one of my favorites. The lime crema sauce with it really added to the flavor and made it not as dry but it didn’t hit the spot for my breakfast burrito craving to be honest. I would give it another try in the future when they have Carne Asada available, but just know going in that it’s not traditional Mexican style flavors but rather Middle Eastern style.

I had the pleasure of sampling their much-talked-about signature breakfast burrito recently. The eggs and tater tots were absolutely delightful—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The meat, however, didn’t quite hit the same high note for me; it was on the saltier side and a bit sparse. That said, I’m definitely intrigued to return and try the Cali, especially since it features steak—which I imagine might bring a richer, more balanced bite. Between the sauces, I’d suggest going with the green lime—it offers a bright, zesty contrast that really elevates the dish over the sweeter honey option. For those who follow a halal diet, this spot is a rare gem where you can enjoy halal bacon or chorizo in your breakfast burrito. Honestly, after waiting so long to try this hyped up burrito I was trying to make myself enjoy it, and quite frankly I couldn’t. As someone who tries a breakfast burrito in every corner of Los Angeles, I was sadly disappointed. $20 for this burrito (much higher than $16 at Erewhon) which I don’t mind spending if it’s worth it but truly I don’t think it is. The beef bacon was extremely fatty and made it unbearable to eat. I keep reading other reviews to see where I went wrong with the quality ingredients but this experience has made me not want to try anything else. Overhyped for me personally. Usually I judge on the size, taste, and quality so this unfortunately did not pass the test. There was random cheese bites (not distributed), bites of mostly tots, and then the mushy eggs throughout. 4/10 in my humble opinion.

I absolutely loved Sobuneh! The Signature burrito was my favorite and it was packed with flavor and really filling. The tater tots were perfectly crispy, and the sauces added the perfect touch. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Great food and great vibes. I'll definitely be back soon!

almost $50 in total for two burritos. mine didn’t have any beans ☹️ the veg was mainly just tater tots: weirdly no veggies. flavor was alright. the outdoor seating was a cute vibe though! and i had a great time just chatting.

This is easily one of the best breakfast burritos in LA right now—outshining Wake & Late and holding its own alongside Cofax. The eggs are perfectly light and fluffy, the bacon is thick and savory, and the tater tots are perfectly crispy. The sauces? Absolutely delicious. With a small operation, it can take some time to get your order, so I recommend calling in at least an hour ahead to avoid the wait.

Sobuneh in LA has some incredible food, with the signature burrito being absolutely phenomenal—packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. The ingredients taste fresh, and the honey chipotle makes the perfect edition. However, the biggest downside is how disorganized the place is. The service, while friendly, can be slow and a bit chaotic, which takes away from the overall experience. If they could improve their organization, this would easily be a five-star spot. Still, the food alone makes it worth a visit! I highly recommend that you order online about 30 minutes in advance.

Ethan was so helpful and absolutely amazing to work with for my company's catered breakfast meeting! Very quick responses and custom quantities for the burrito types, sauces, and more. The burritos were delicious and a complete hit at our meeting! Highly recommend for any breakfast occasion, will be ordering again!

I've eaten here 4 times. The first time was great because I bought into the hype. After coming back to earth, burrito is alright. 6/10 on its best days.

BB: 10/10 The Sig: 10/10 Yeah these breakfast burritos are fire! Just be warned you should order in advance because the wait is over an hour. Expensive but well worth a try and if you're willing to wait. The burrito is packed with flavor. Very delicious combinations of flavors. The tortilla is well crisped. It does get soggy fast though. Chipotle aioli is really good too. Better than the cilantro aioli in my opinion.

yo how is this the best breakfast burrito in LA I am embarrassed that I took my friends visiting town here for their first meal straight from LAX. It was over an hour wait (they did not tell us this). Also for reference it's a ghost kitchen that you order from a counter and then sit down in their small patio. Burrito size was aight. Flavor is lacking. Definitely made for white American tastebuds (even my white American friends visiting from the Midwest from a flyover state said the flavor was lacking). Hot sauce was not hot. At least the burrito itself was hot in temperature and freshly made. Sad. Would not return.

Decent. Got the sig. I really appreciate how it's beef based chorizo or bacon instead of pork. Picked it up about 5 mins after it was ready and it was barely warm. Good but nothing special.

Ordered on postmates - Size was a lot smaller than expected in consideration to how much I was paying I def expected a decent size burrito but this was more like a XS burrito I feel like they make their burritos look a lot bigger on social media. - comes as whole not cut in half.. all their pics show it in half and I got it to share with my husband thinking their pretty big and itl be cut in half but I was disappointed to see its not cut in half and no utensils or napkins provided - sauce / pico portion is very small and they don't even fill the sauce all way. It's def not enough to take you through entire burritos If they're going to use small containers, I feel like at least it should be filled all the way. The potatoe tots inside were AMAZING. Crunchy and just perfect I def feel they can do better on more egg/ ratio of egg felt less then even potato Overall, I feel like it's a good tasting burrito, but they should really focus on giving a better size and being more generous with their sauce, especially at their price point The size is what shocked me most Or at least have two options small or large cause this is def a small.

I have been on the search for the best breakfast burritos in LA and let me tell you--this takes the cake! The Veg burrito is the perfect ratio of ingredients accompanied by an assortment of delicious sauces. It absolutely lives up to the hype. They operate out of a ghost kitchen but there's plenty of nice seating both indoor and outdoor. Everyone working there has been very friendly. The first time I had this burrito I literally came back the next day to get another--it was that good. Yes it's pricy, but it's also very filling and satisfying and totally worth it. Can't wait to go back!

This was a random find but oh my goodness the breakfast burritos here are incredible. I ordered their BB (beef bacon) breakfast burrito via Doordash. They have figured out the perfect ratio of ingredients and love that they use tater tots (the only proper potato for a breakfast burrito in my opinion). I was hesitant about the beef bacon but ended up liking it a lot. The burrito is very good on its own but the green cilantro aioli really amps things up. I know it's extra, but highly recommend adding avocado and a side of pico.

Good breakfast burrito with a pretty decent size, soft, flavorful eggs, a quality tortilla, and crispy tater tots; just not my absolute favorite breakfast burrito. I got the BB, and I wish the beef bacon was a little bigger and it came with avocado, but is $2 extra. Maybe I would like the signature breakfast burrito more, but this one was nice, just not something I would drive to west LA for if I'm not in the area. Worth a try to form your own opinion if you're into LA breakfast burritos.

I more recently heard of Sobuneh and heard good things. From making certain foods lists, to a first hand experience that I trust, these guys put out a good product that's worth the price. Maybe the owners aren't involved enough anymore, maybe the staff at the ghost kitchen aren't invested in the product, maybe I just went on an off day... Lots of maybe and if's, but from my experience today I would not go, nor recommend wasting your time and money on their breakfast burritos. Because it's so popular, it's recommended to order in advance or the wait of an in person order would be about 25 minutes. I ordered the signature online and was given a pickup time 20 minutes out, NBD. I show up after my pickup time and had to wait another 10 mins. Again NBD, things get busy, if the product is fresh and good it's worth the wait. It was definitely not worth the wait. There was nothing impressive at all about this breakfast burrito. The chorizo had a decent taste, but nothing that would make it stand out. The tots were soggy. The egg was not fluffy at all. The size was just that of your average fast food burrito. To have such an average burrito cost $18 is ridiculous (I've paid more and was much happier with the value). You are better off going to your local diner or taco shop and paying $12 for something that taste better and is a better value where you don't have to jump through hoops.

May be one of the best breakfast burritos in LA. Lived up to the hype. I could taste the freshness of the ingredients even after bringing it home maybe 30 mins later. I've been following Sobuneh since they were out of their house and they have now moved to a shared kitchen with some outdoor seating. I pre ordered on Friday for Saturday lunch via their site. We went home and devoured it with the tortilla and tater tots still pretty crispy, fluffy eggs, and beef bacon which is so unique. Both sauce flavors really come through (I don't like cilantro but loved the cilantro lime) and the honey chipotle was divine. I typically like salsas with my breakfast burritos but it complimented perfectly and wasn't overly creamy/heavy. It had the perfect amount of spice too. Will be back to try the other burritos and probably sit at one of the tables outside next time.

Probably one of my favorite breakfast burritos I've had!! :DD My friend and I came across a video and decided to dash it to school. It arrived so neatly packaged! We ordered the signature (mine without avocado) with cilantro lime aioli. I think the portioning was a bit smaller than I was expecting, but the flavor made up for it!! It was so juicy and yummy!! Somehow, despite being in a juicy burrito that was dashed from the store to a school, the tator tots inside stayed crispy!! I think all of the flavors fit so nicely together. Unfortunately because we dashed the food, I can't say much about the service or interior of the place, but I can tell from their packaging that they keep clean :) Overall really loved the burritos. I do think one thing that could possibly prevent me from ordering often would be the price point for it.

I was really excited about this one because I heard so many good things but for me, it did not live up to the hype. I don't mind paying higher than average prices for food it's good quality and there's great taste. The quality wasn't bad but the taste for the burrito was just ok. I got the Cali burrito that has steak. I did enjoy the cilantro cream of sauce though! But for the price and what I got, I don't think I'll be returning. I can't speak to the service or ambience because I ordered this on UberEats.

The line/wait can be a bit crazy though. -- Food - 4/5 The Sig Any breakfast burrito that comes with avocado with tater tots with a decent aioli is going to be a winner and this is a winner. The Veg Basically the same as above without meat. Equally tasty by all accounts and a $1 less. -- Service & Experience - 3/5 Visited Sat Feb 1st at 1pm without ordering online. Ordered pickup took about 25 min (they had good estimate). Place was jam packed. Would recommend online (their website or Toast app) for pickup to avoid the wait. And it looks like they charge ~$2 in fees if you order using in the in store kiosk. -- Ambiance - 3/5 Very crowded inside when we arrived so may be difficult to find and loud to sit inside; outside was quite nice though especially on a day with good weather. -- Detailed Thought - 4/5 I would estimate these are the best breakfast burritos around the area but within LA, Wake and Late (#2) and Barran's 2239 (#1) are perhaps a bit better.

Sobuneh had been on my radar for a while, especially since it's often listed as having one of the best breakfast burritos in LA. I was excited to finally make the trip to the west side, but my experience didn't quite live up to the hype. Ambiance: I didn't realize it was a ghost kitchen before visiting. They do have some indoor seating and a small patio with a couple of picnic tables, so there's space to hang out if you're eating on-site. Food: We ordered The Sig and The BB to share, with honey chipotle, cilantro lime aioli, and an extra hot sauce (for $1). When we arrived, a sign let us know the burritos would take about 25 minutes. By the time we picked up our burritos about 30 minutes later, the wait time had jumped to 35 minutes. As for the burritos: The Sig was good. The eggs were fluffy, and the hashbrown had a nice crisp, but for me, it wasn't special enough to justify a 30-minute wait. The BB was disappointing. The bacon was super dry and tough, possibly overcooked or kept warm in batches. Also, I noticed a powdery taste in the burritos, which reminded me of the coating used on pre-shredded cheese to prevent clumping. It's something my friends notice, so it might just be me. All in all, we paid around $50 for two burritos, one water, and one extra sauce. Between the price and the wait time, it wasn't worth it for me. The BB burrito was fantastic! Loaded with all the good stuff and very thick crispy beef bacon. If you don't like crunch maybe pass on the BB but I enjoyed it a lot. The chipotle honey sauce paired well with it as well. We were a group of 11 and already knew the wait was going to be long. We ordered one entire hour in advance of getting here. Some of us waited 5-10 mins still so in total 65-70 min wait for our order. Beware of the long wait time and highly recommend as a tip here that you put your order in before you get here. If you're someone that likes pickles and they contrast get extra pickled onions as well.

Honestly, the burrito was delicious, but I do not think it is the best one in LA. I have yet to find a delicious breakfast burrito with a price that is worth what you are getting in LA. Sobuneh's staff members are the friendliest and offer exceptional service. The check in and their pick up process is very smooth. I went on a Sunday morning right when they opened and there were already a bunch of people waiting for their order. I suggest to plan ahead. The tater tots are super crispy and seasoned. The burrito is wrapped to perfection so everything that is in the burrito stays inside. I got the BB burrito which had thick slices of bacon, eggs, cheese, and the crispy tater tots. I must say, they do a terrific job with their sauces! My favorite one is the honey chipotle - it is thick, creamy, and has a spicy kick to it. The pickled onions are also delicious, you can eat them by itself. The pico tasted really fresh and also had a spicy/lemony kick. And lastly, the cilantro lime aioli was also delicious, but super lemony in my opinion! I wish Sobuneh was an actual sit down restaurant, rather than pick up only. It was a challenge finding this place at first because it is in an alleyway. Overall, I'm glad I got to experience this trending burrito in LA, but I will not be coming back.

The wait was around 30 minutes but not surprised considering how popular they are. I was surprised to see that they're located inside a ghost kitchen. We got the cali, BB, and a side of tater tots. All were very solid. I wasn't necessarily amazed but the food was good. Would come back if around the area and I'm glad I tried it.

Friend's daughter had heard very good things so wanted to try and so glad I got to try as well! I love a good breakfast burrito and this was definitely in my top 5! Ordered the Veg Burrito which included tater tots. Very good ratio of everything including avocado. The cilantro lime aioli was so good and the tortilla was very light! I will definitely go back to try another burrito and get a side of tater tots!

Instagram told me about this breakfast burrito spot and I finally got to try it earlier today. It's located in the Colony and I placed my order online and it was ready in about 25 minutes. I got the veggie breakfast burrito with no pickled jalapeños and my husband opted for the BB burrito which has beef bacon. His BB was served with a honey chipotle aioli and my veggie was served with a side of salsa similar to pico de gallo and a cilantro, lime aioli. I'm glad they serve the aioli on the side, because even though they're tasty and add flavor, I prefer regular spicy salsa when it comes to breakfast burritos. Regardless - the burritos were delicious and I'm so glad I got to try this place out! Highly recommend.

I love a great breakfast burrito, it's one of my favorite foods. When I read about Sobuneh and the Colony ghost kitchen I was excited to try it. After a 40 minute wait for the burrito and $20 later I couldn't wait to dive in. As much as I wanted to love this m, it was a pretty average burrito. Way too much avocado which made it mushy and not enough tater tots to give it a crunch. They forgot the black beans which was disappointing. The balance was off which made the flavors just ok. Overall not the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, not worth the wait and overpriced. But it wasn't bad, I'd eat it again if I was at The Colony; it's just not something I find myself craving again.

The burrito was also small for the price and came out cold. I probably would only get this again if I was in the area but nothing to crave.

The lady at the front said to check their website for the most up to date wait times as a pro tip. Overall I wanted to like this place because of all the hype but was sadly disappointed. the chorizo burrito was mushy and didn't have any distinguished flavors. Needed more texture. Didn't love the pickled onions. I will say the tater tots are great but won't be coming back. Still think wake and late and cafe Loz Feliz are top two. Also ambiance is bleak. Needs some tlc.

We went here after seeing a few viral TikToks calling it the best breakfast burrito in LA. It was good, but definitely don't think it was work an over hour wait and the chaos here. We did come on a Sunday morning and you order from these tablets, that were super glitchy and ended up charging us twice, which we have to dispute with the bank. And there were so many people coming in trying to pick up from one of the many different restaurants in this building. So it was super chaotic just to try to order, if we were to come again, I recommend putting order for pick up online before getting here. It was an hour wait and when we got the burritos, they were good and flavorful, but not the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. We also got the vegetarian burrito so it's possible their meat burrito is what's super good here. Long story short, burritos are good enough but the ordering process, wait, and parking don't make it worth it for us personally.

Wait was pretty long for a breakfast burrito... that being said paying $30 for a burrito and some tots was a little crazy. The BB burrito itself was okay nothing quite spectacular absolutely not worth the price. Only thing that saved this was the tots and cilantro aioli. The place where to pick up has a little coffee place at counter that was amazing.

I had a craving for breakfast burritos so I stopped by on my way to an appt in order to satisfy my craving! There was a friendly and helpful staff on hand, and the wait time was not too bad. I quite enjoyed the burrito, but I didn't find it to be an outstanding one; it tasted kind of generic and was very similar to the burritos offered at other restaurants. As for breakfast burritos, I think they all taste the same, and it's hard to find one that is good and different because the ingredients are the same. It goes very well with the sauce, but the only downside is the price. In truth, you can make something like this at home for a few dollars.

As a self-proclaimed veggie breakfast burrito connoisseur, I can say that this has entered my top five but I would not call it my favorite in LA. What stands out here to me are the sauces. The honey aioli and the chipotle créma are outstanding. I don't think mine had the black beans but the eggs were so fluffy and the cheese was perfect. Very good! I do think I need to try the signature and my ranking may change. I ordered ahead but there was no line or anything on a Thursday morning. Silly as it sounds, I also love the packaging.

WOW! This is hands down my new favorite breakfast burrito in LA! The burrito was packed with generous, mouthwatering pieces of beef bacon--so flavorful and perfectly cooked. It's located in a ghost kitchen, which can be a little confusing to navigate the first time, but trust me, it's worth it. I waited about 20 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. There's both indoor and outdoor seating shared by several different restaurants, so you can sit and enjoy your meal comfortably. Overall, an absolutely delicious burrito--I'll definitely be back!

We picked up Sobuneh at the Colony for a casual breakfast/brunch. Ryan brought out our food. He was super friendly and approachable. Loved the outdoor dining area, perfect for a summer day. We got the signature burrito and the BB breakfast burrito. Probably the best breakfast burritos I've had in LA!! The signature burrito is made with a mix of beef and turkey chorizo. The BB has a nice smokey beef bacon. Both burritos were packed. It's basically impossible to finish one of these on your own. Also loved the tater tots with the honey chipotle aioli and the cilantro lime aioli. Really fresh and not too greasy. The sunrise iced tea was refreshing on such a hot day. 10/10 recommend this spot for high quality breakfast burritos.

#1 breakfast burrito in LA??? Definitely not. But if you're nearby and wanting to try it for $22, I'd say go ahead! Just don't have your expectations too high. The gluten free tortilla was really nice; they are hard to come by and this was as good as it could be. Inside the burrito was a mixture of wet ingredients that were good but not supremely flavorful. The chipotle sauce is good but I prefer something bright and acidic like a tomato based salsa or sauce to add a fresh element the mix. Without that, everything is rich and savory and the meal isn't for me. I will move along and continue my search for the best breakfast burrito.

Very unimpressed. Ordered online, it was ready 15 min later which was nice but somehow it was cold? Picked Up as soon as I got the notification. Got the signature. Not a lot of flavor, could barely taste chorizo and had pretty much no beans They didn't put the pico I paid extra for in the bag. Tots were decent. Sauces not bad. I don't think there was an option to order hot sauce on their website which could've kicked the flavor up.

Sobuneh (which means breakfast in Farsi) does not serve standard, run-of-the-mill breakfast burritos. Sobuneh brings you some of the freshest, most delicious, high-quality, Persian-inspired breakfast burritos. You can tell that all of the ingredients are very well sourced, bringing a plethora of fresh flavors to each bite. But the real magic is in both of the sauces. So smooth, authentic, and tasty. My only gripe is the price. $19 for a burrito that's not that large. A bit steep there. However, you get an abundance of perfectly crispy, fresh tots for only $4. That's a solid deal. So with the tots pricing redemption and the amazing flavors from the burrito, I'll still go 5 stars here. Also note that they don't serve water here, so be sure to bring your own bottle. I'm actually not sure if any of the restaurants located at The Colony serve water. So just make note of that.

I decided to try their BB breakfast burrito, and it did not disappoint! The scrambled eggs were fluffy and tater tots were crispy. You can tell they use good quality ingredients so definitely great value for the price. Also loved all the different sauces that it came with, very generous. TBH, one of the best breakfast burritos in LA, highly recommend!

Had high hopes for this place bc of the raving reviews but coming from a breakfast burrito lover, their burritos were just okay. For $20 a burrito, I expected bigger and better tasting. I got the BB burrito and the bacon wasn't crispy, more like a thick cut pancetta that was tough to chew. The eggs were nice and fluffy but could've used more crunch from the tater tots and bacon. I paired it with their cilantro lime aioli and wasn't fan of the taste although I usually love cilantro aiolis. This place is located in a ghost kitchen so there are other dining options inside as well which was pretty unique, like a food court but with limited seating. Wake&late and Cofax are still my fav spots for a solid breakfast burrito

I was in the area and finally told myself I'd try and see what the big hype is over this breakfast burrito. In all honesty it's good, but not mind blowing to where I need to come back for it especially for $20 breakfast burrito. I'd really really have to crave this place to come back. It is fulling though and I could only eat half as I got full.

I wish I could give 10 stars. I found this place through a foodie influencer on Instagram and I've been addicted ever since my first time!! I drive all the way from calabasas for this place and let me say IT IS WELL WORTH EVERY SINGLE MILE! The food is so fresh and has such great quality you can definitely taste, and not to mention the entire staff are all so so very nice and genuinely care about their customers PLUS the beef is halal! I love how they don't cook with any seed oils either. Their sunrise iced tea is so refreshing I have to have it everytime along with the crunchiest tater tots you'll ever try in your life omg so delicious!!! The tater tots pair perfectly with the burrito and the sauces. I've tried all the burritos and they're all 10/10 but my favorite was def the veg, BB and Cali! My boyfriend is obsessed with the signature burrito, he gets two everytime we go. The burritos have every element, and the crunch from the tater tots pairs so well! Everything is always so consistently FRESH and SUPER DELICIOUS. I can eat here every single day. Order ahead to avoid long wait (the wait is 100% worth it anyways!!!) I wish there was a closer location but I will drive in traffic for my burrito and tots! The cilantro lime and honey chipotle aioli are so good, and the pickled onions 100000/10 def give this place a try if you want to try the best breakfast burrito EVER.

I was pretty disappointed with this place. We made an online order on a weekday morning at 10am and it said it would take 15-20 minutes to be ready. When we arrived 20 minutes later there was no sign of our order. We checked in with one of the cashiers at the location and she told us they are still preparing it. (It is a ghost kitchen and it is actually sharing with other vendors). The place was empty when we were waiting so we didn't understand why it took another 30 minutes after we arrived to get our burrito and tater tots (meanwhile we were seeing other vendors at the location keep sending out their food). The cashier girl said Sobuneh is known to be slow so maybe it's a good idea to leave a review so that they can see these feedback. When we finally got our food I was disappointed again. The California burrito was pretty small for $20 (which I understand could be due to inflation blah blah blah...), but the cold tater tots was unacceptable...especially after a 50 minutes wait. We decided not to send it back coz we were already running late to our next appointment. I was very excited about this place after reading all these amazing reviews and one user said they have the best tater tots ever. Well, not when the tots were cold imo.

The burrito was really good and flavorful. But...the store is located inside a ghost kitchen so the inside is very crowded with people waiting for their orders. We went at 1 pm on a Sunday and there was a 45-50 min wait for the burritos. I would recommend ordering online for a pickup.

I tried the signature breakfast burrito at Sobuneh, which is located at The Colony, and it was just okay. The burrito was on the smaller side, and at $20, it's very overpriced for what you get. The honey chipotle aioli was decent, but who puts aioli on a burrito? That's weird. I prefer hot sauce anyway. The cilantro lime aioli tasted awful and went straight into the trash. The pickled onions were also disappointing and lacked flavor. They used to have an excellent hot sauce, but it seems like it's been taken off the menu, which is a shame. The ambiance at The Colony is not great. It feels chaotic and uncomfortable, not a place where you'd want to enjoy your meal. On the bright side, the service was friendly, but the 1-hour wait time for a simple breakfast burrito is absolutely ridiculous. While the burrito wasn't terrible, the high price, long wait, and bad atmosphere make it hard to justify coming back. There are much better places to grab a breakfast burrito.

The moment I saw Sobuneh on IG i knew I needed to get my hands on LA's hottest new breakfast burrito spot. Pre-orders open on Tuesday, and you DM them for pick-up time/date (Friday-Sunday). They're really responsive and the process was pretty straightforward! We ordered the signature (chorizo) and BB (beef bacon). Wow there was SO much flavor in both of these. I liked the signature because there was a little more going on, but you seriously can't go wrong. The salsas on the side were so tasty. Breakfast burritos can sometimes be overwhelming since the filling is usually 90% potatoes, but they had just the right amount of tater tots in there. Only feedback I have on the burritos is that I wish there was just a little more meat! Now, the tater tots. These are literally the crispiest tater tots I've ever had and they were just SO good. Dip them with the salsas and it's perfection. We had to wait a little bit for our order when we got there and they initially forgot to give us our tater tots, but they were super nice and gave us an extra side of tater tots for free. There are some other popular breakfast burrito spots that definitely don't live up to the hype, but definitely try this place out and you will not be disappointed! Pickup is at the Colony where other pop-ups are located. They have a nice outdoor dining area, but you can also just bring it home to-go.

Delicious, crunchy tater tots so texture is great, that cilantro salsa is addictive. However, for the price point, would've appreciated a larger burrito. Still great and hopefully continues to improve.

Sobuneh is the viral breakfast burrito from Instagram. They started with weekend drops from their balcony to pick-up stand at The Colony. Pre-order for Saturday or Sunday pick-up. The overall process is fairly seemless - DM order, pay via Venmo or Zelle and pick-up at your chosen timeslot. For the food: The Signature Sobuneh breakfast burrito has house-blend beef chorizo flavored with Middle Eastern spices. The tater tots are crispy and delicious. The iced chai is refreshing with orange slices. I got all three for $20 a few months ago, but the prices may have changed.

Love the breakfast burritos here. The ordering system is interesting. They have "releases" on their Instagram every Tuesday where you DM them to preorder for pickup on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday at The Colony. The sooner you order, the better the chance your preferred pickup time will be available. Then they text you a link where you pay online prior to picking up. Picking up is easy and quick since everything is already preordered and payed for. The employees are also very friendly. I love the Signature burrito. It has eggs, cheese, beans, avocado, tater tots, and beef chorizo in it. I've never had beef chorizo before, but it was delicious. The tater tots in it are also the most crispy and perfect tater tots I've ever had. I'm not sure what seasonings they put in the burrito, but it has an extra oomph to it that other breakfast burritos don't have. The burrito also comes with a cilantro lime aioli, a honey chipotle aioli, and pickled onions. The pickled onions are a great touch to brighten things up. I liked the sweetness of the honey chipotle, but thought the cilantro lime was okay. Great breakfast burritos. I wish they had a permanent location and are open everyday so I don't have to decided on Tuesdays if future have a breakfast burrito craving over the weekend. But I'll for sure be coming back.

When my husband showed me their Instagram page, I was like, sure it looks good, but how good can a breakfast burrito really be? I was wrong, it is SO GOOOOOOOOOOD! Everything about it is super intentional, from how stuffed the burrito is, to the sauces they pair them with, it all makes perfect sense. They package your order with care and the service is great. The tater tots are amazing too! They hold on to their crisp and are very well seasoned. We tried the BB and the Signature, and both were delicious, but I prefer the BB because the bacon ads a nice flavor. I will definitely be back time and time again!

The best new breakfast burritos in town! I tried all three of the burritos and I'm obsessed. My favorite was the bb it's made with beef bacon. The beef bacon was so crispy and delicious. They also have a vegetarian friendly burrito called the Veg. You also can't go wrong with the Signature burrito filled with beef chorizo. I love how they replaced pork with beef since I do not eat pork it was great to finally try a tasty alternative. Don't forget to get the tator tots and try all the delicious sauces! The three owners were all very sweet I'm excited to see Sobuneh grow!

Wow the breakfast burritos! Did a door dash order and it did not disappoint at all. The veggie burrito (sans beans) really hit the spot. The tater tots even came crispy, and stayed that way.

Delicious breakfast burritos. As I understand it, these guys began selling their burritos as a pop up during the pandemic. By the time I learned of them, they were distributing their burritos out of the Colony on the weekends. The ordering system goes through IG. You see the post and when they're open for orders, follow the directions: PM them and give them your full name, preferred time slot, and what you want to order based on their available menu. I think you reference with release # and day as well. Get confirmation, pay through the link and anticipate your upcoming goodies! Pretty simple. When you pick up, you are greeted by some very enthusiastic and friendly people. Also, if you are there at the right time and not too early at the colony, you are able to enjoy your food at the small room with tables at the Colony. I got the signature breakfast burrito and a side of the tater tots. I probably could have been good with just the burrito, but I have a weakness for tater tots or fried potatoes in general. The tots were very crispy and fresh when I got them. They have some seasoning on them. The menu mentioned they come with their honey aioli, but I'm not sure if the sauces were the ones included in the burrito package. I would have to clarify/confirm next time. Not a biggie. I used some of the sauces from the burrito with these tots. In hindsight, I would have liked a bit more sauce, but it doesn't irk me enough to ding a fledgling business. The burrito itself has great ratios, is tightly wrapped, and has a nice grilled crisp on the outside. The beef chorizo was flavor and not greasy. The tots in the burrito added some texture and the cheese and other fillings were all great. The sauces definitely make the experience better. Can't decide which sauce (green or orange) I like better. I like bites with both along with the pickled onions. I think the burritos are Persian only in name (translates to 'breakfast' in Farsi) and by the guys who started it. I thought maybe there may have been a Persian twist in the ingredients or something, but I can't definitively say that there are. Either way, you are getting a very delicious breakfast burrito (and tots). Parking at the time was easy. Early on a Saturday with plenty of metered street parking. Big warning though!: parking enforcement has zero chill (it is Santa Monica). I walked in to the Colony and realized I forgot to feed the meter. Came out and there was already a person right there giving a ticket. Luckily my spot had 3 mins left, but the guy who came out with the ticket wasn't happy at all.
