Söderberg Soho is HQ for the laptop tribe - Review - London - The Infatuation

"Söderberg Soho is a Scandinavian bakery and coffee shop. But people aren’t here for the frukostbricka (breakfast tray). They’re here because this is Soho and office spaces that could double as correctional facilities are expensive, so the laptop crowd decamp here. Even though the internet can be patchy, it pulls through for some light work or if your boss doesn’t mind that your green Slack light is dropping in and out like an inconsistent parent. Choose the counter if you need a plug socket, the tables are good for communal working, but really downstairs is best with its two hideaway nooks. Stick to coffee and a cinnamon bun, the rest of the food is so-so. Food Rundown Frukostbricka A breakfast spread of perfectly nice toasted bread, granola, yoghurt, berries, an unwelcome rocket salad, and some orange juice. It’s certainly nothing special, but it’s also not objectionable. Kanelbulle If you need to get something to eat because you plan on staying for over an hour (the polite length of time to order food if you’re working), get this cinnamon bun. It’s sweet, doughy, and comforting." - Sinéad Cranna

33 Gift Ideas To Order From London Restaurants - London - The Infatuation

"What they’ve got:A tote, a keep-cup, and the ultimate crowd pleaser, jam. Jam is wholesome. Jam is charming. Jam is what you buy for someone who you have no idea about, but guess they’re probably into toast. Because everyone likes toast, right? Get some blueberry and lemon or pear and ginger jam from Scandi café Söderberg, or one of their handy keep-cups. Sidenote: They have a cinnamon bun tutorial on their website. Not a gift idea, but hey, you need a break from that Christmas shopping, don’t you?" - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing

The 28 Best London Coffee Shops With Wifi For Getting Work Done

"Söderberg is where to work from when you want to feel cool. Case in point, the tiny pine bookcase with a record player on top. But this Soho cafe is also really practical—with a good amount of seating, lots of USB ports, and cinnamon rolls to fuel afternoon Zoom meetings. Plus, the laid-back, Scandi-inspired spot also does great coffee." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna

The Best Places to Fika Swedish Style in London | Eater London

"Soderberg, an established Swedish bakery and café in Edinburgh, arrived on London’s fika scene this year. Alongside the expected cinnamon buns, there are also longer cinnamon plaits for the hungry and kladdkaka — a sticky chocolate cake — as well as the palely beautiful mazarins, which are almond cakes with a white icing." - Alex Peake-Tomkinson

I stopped by Söderberg on my way to an appointment and decided to try their breakfast tray. The Frukosttallrik, a Swedish-style continental breakfast, turned out to be an excellent choice. It came with toasted sourdough, crispbread, slices of mature cheddar, yoghurt with granola, a small fruit salad, a little jam, and a glass of cold-pressed orange juice. At £14, it offered great value for premium ingredients. The portion was generous enough to share, though I was happy to have it all to myself! The coffee was well-made, and the baked goods looked irresistible. The interiors embrace Nordic minimalism, with a communal table, armchairs around coffee tables, and stools at countertops for those working on laptops. Additional seating downstairs makes it a cosy spot whether you’re dining solo, catching up with a friend, or having a relaxed meeting.

We spent ages searching for a cafe to go in and found this cozy gem. Affordable for London and super yummy! We had tea and the blueberry and raspberry pastries and they were heavenly. Definitely insanely busy however which is why I’ve taken a star off because I went again today and still couldn’t get a seat. Would be good to maybe have more seating options or a capacity chart? Staff are the sweetest and very patient and had good recommendations. I will definitely be back soon!

Great cafe/bakery right in the middle of Soho, a wide selection of baked goods and the coffee was excellent, plenty of seats as well to chill down if you are in the area.

Great visit to this neighborhood gem. Scandinavian style venue with chilled music, comfy furniture and a range of dishes with lots of options. The meatball brunch was to die for. Soft and flavourful and accompanied by the freshest, most vibrant pesto, fluffy eggs, rocket and sourdough. Lots of pastries, a range of drinks and sweet and savoury dishes means I'll be returning. Sit in the basement 'cave' for something a little different (see third pic).

Never heard of this place but decided to give them a try since they are on TGTG. Fantastic savory shop, everything what I was given was extremaly tasty and fresh. Not a healthy option but so good. It has very modern look inside, with downstairs area. Service was very quick too. Highly recommend, defo a place to come back to.

Been twice now and got the coffee and chocolate cake with the additional whipped cream. The cake is more of a brownie which I personally like but the cream is honestly the star of the show here. Probably the best cream I’ve ever had, perfect level of sweetness and texture, and I think without the cream, the cake would be a little lacking. The coffee serving sizes are very generous which is good/bad depending on how you look at it. The pricing is quite expensive here and for the quality maybe is not worth it, however the atmosphere and service is very good.

It is quiet cafe in the morning I am not sure whether or not it gets busier at lunch time. Lovely space The cinnamon bun was soft and I wasn’t expecting it. The bun was glazed with sugary syrup Coffee was standard I regret that I haven’t ordered their waffles after trying the cinnamon bun. The prices are reasonable Positive experience overall

Yelp
The food here is worth trying. Service was terrible. There is no table service, unlike the location we first visited in Edinburgh. As we were ordering, the an employee kept saying 'yup' after each item we ordered. It was so strange. We asked for a receipt. He said he would give it to us when he delivered the food. He never did. Service charge wasn't included in the bill. They had a tip jar. We didn't leave anything. Make sure to try their mazarin and waffles.

Yelp
My husband was down the street record shopping so I went looking for a coffee. I found the Sodeberg Soho and walked in for a coffee to go. There were two people behind the counter, a woman manning the cash register and the barista. They were both really wonderful. Even though she was very busy, she was extremely attendant to each guest. I ordered two coffees to go and a pastry. She quickly produced the pastry, which had been warmed to perfection and was really very tasty (a vanilla blueberry stuffed danish type thing). She warned me there would be a bit of a wait on the coffee as there were several orders ahead of mine. I told her that was fine (though such heads up are always always appreciated!) and sat on a bench to wait. The barista moved really fluidly behind the counter and made really beautiful coffee drinks with speed. He produced my drinks a couple of minutes later and I was out the door. ThoughI didn't eat a meal here, the food I saw looked very good. A cute little spot with good service and good food.

Yelp
We had a fabulous lunch here a couple days ago that fueled us for the rest of the afternoon. It's a cute, little shop tucked away in Soho and there's plenty of extra seating downstairs, which is also more quiet. The halloumi salad is seriously one of the best and most inventive salads that we have ever had. Bravo. The grilled cheese pieces were so crisp and wonderfully salty and we loved the contrast with the soft mushrooms and mashed avocado. The dressing was out of this world. We would come back to London for that salad alone. Our poached egg on sourdough with pancetta and wilted spinach was also delightful (so much spinach!), but the chipotle sauce on top tasted off and didn't contribute much to the dish. For sweets, we all shared the mud cake, a mazarin, and a cardamom bun. The mud cake was so oozy that it practically looked melted but tasted like delicious chocolate lava. The cardamom bun, alas, was a disappointment--dry and kind of boring (we have yet to replicate our experience of it at Fika in Minneapolis). The almond and pistachio mazarin was the best one: incredible! So chewy and sweet with each of the flavors shining through. Amen! We didn't love our coffee or chai, but our daughter did finish her hot chocolate, so no complaints. The staff was pleasant. A wonderful meal and we'd be happy to encourage others to go.

Yelp
Really great spot for breakfast and brunch. Coffee is very good. Sourdough toasts are excellent, and the cardamom buns are spectacular. Service is also very good.

Yelp
Best espresso i have had in london ever. Guess that is reason enough to get 4stars....and the 5th is for the cinnamon buns. Feels like i am in stockholm.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of doughy Cinammon Buns, but their version was very light and flavourful; by far the best we have tried in London. Their Blueberry Custard Bun and Raspberry Custard Bun were also excellent. They were not too sweet and the dough was light. We are going to try other buns soon.

Yelp
I had a great breakfast over here. Poached egg with avocado toast and a nice cappuccino. Really nice and quick service. Perfect for a (fast) fresh breakfast!

Yelp
From the looks of it this place seems amazing and perfect for breakfast or brunch. However the girl who took our order told us the wait for food would be 30 min. Our food came after 45min-1h. The place was just a bit of a mess honestly, the waiters didn't really seem to know which table had ordered what. If you decide to come here, just get a coffee.
