Their stall was very prominent at Kennsington Market today, but they were still getting set up when I arrived 15 minutes after market open. I waited patiently, and the two people running the booth each glanced at me, then turned their backs and conspicuously ignored me without saying a word. It wasn't until several more people joined me, blocking the walkways as we tried to form a line, and several people started loudly trying to sort out the arrival order that one of the workers finally turned around, sighed heavily, and snapped "We're not ready!" He turned away again and I asked how long it was going to be, to which he rolled his eyes and said "Like half an hour," then went back to ignoring us. I spent some time checking out other vendors and because the market is small I was able to watch this sequence play out a couple more times until a determined customer stationed herself next to the booth and started announcing to newcomers that the stall wasn't open yet, since the employees refused to speak up. This whole time people were milling in frustration, trying to form a line, blocking foot traffic because of the confusion, and being blatantly ignored by the vendors. I bought breakfast elsewhere, not because they were late, which is excusable, things happen, but because of the extreme rudeness of the staff.
