The Best Pasta in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Fans of Sophia Loren will adore this Italian restaurant, where photos of the Roman beauty are everywhere. Executive chef Talia Diele makes fantastic pasta, case in point the tagliatelle squid ink pasta with Calabrian chile, shrimp, and capers. Sofia’s cacio e pepe features the lightest spaghetti alla chitarra and there’s a great radiatori alla vodka too." - Beth D’Addono

The Best Italian Restaurants in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"This modern Italian on Julia Street is equal parts homage to the beauty of Italian actress Sophia Loren and her favorite cuisine. Eschewing Creole Italian preparation for regional Italian dishes, chef Talia Diele offers pasta dishes like cacio e pepe with pink peppercorns, a spicy arrabbiata over tagliatelle with local gulf shrimp, thin crust pizza and a daily fish prepared with lemon and capers. The housemade zeppole with ricotta are one option for a sweet ending." - Beth D’Addono

Where to Find New Orleans’s Best Comfort Food | Eater New Orleans

"Pizza might just be the ultimate comfort food. Sofia’s wood-fried pizza is no joke, topped with the likes of Calabrian chile, prosciutto, broccolini, and burrato. Or raise a glass to our Italian brothers and sisters over a margherita, simply made with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil, the way they eat it in Naples. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. for pickup or third-party delivery." - Beth D’Addono

$58.27 / see the picture the food is fine but the amount is tiny… for what they charge. we ordered pasta for my self and appetizer for my wife. The pasta is $24 … see the picture We did not try the pizza. But pizza also started from $24 and up for medium size. There is a 4% kitchen appreciation .??? I would not recommend it this restaurant.

We celebrated Father’s Day at Sofia in New Orleans and from the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. Jenique at the host stand set the tone with such warmth and charm—it honestly felt like being welcomed home. Christy, our server, was phenomenal. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of fun—she made our night extra special. Every recommendation she made was a hit! Now, let’s talk about the food. Wow. We ordered the Margherita Pizza (simple but absolutely elevated), the Alla Vodka Pasta (creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced), and the Pollo Milanese (crispy outside, juicy inside, and plated like a dream—it came with an absolutely deliciously fresh-tasting green goddess salad that I’m still thinking about). Each bite was a full sensory experience—bursting with flavor, expertly cooked, and clearly made with intention. I’m not exaggerating when I say the food bordered on euphoric. Yes, that level of amazing. For dessert, we had the Zeppole and the Strawberry Panna Cotta, which they kindly comped as a thank you for being return guests. (We didn’t expect it—but that gesture sealed the deal: this place gets it.) The zeppole were pillowy clouds of joy, and that panna cotta? Silky perfection with a touch of summer. From start to finish, Sofia made our Father’s Day not just a dinner, but a memory. The food is divine, the staff is beyond incredible, and the vibe is pure magic. If you’re in New Orleans and don’t go to Sofia—honestly, you’re missing out.

We had an amazing dinner at Sofia! The atmosphere was fun, and the customer service was great from start to finish. We started with the kale salad and the housemade ricotta, the ricotta was phenomenal and absolutely not to be skipped. For our mains, we had the chicken and the pesto pasta, both of which were incredibly delicious and full of flavor.

This is a must try when you are in New Orleans if you want something different from seafood. The food has so much flavor and melts in your mouth. This is by far the best Italian food I’ve ever had in my life . I recommend getting the ricotta, pesto pasta and the pollo chicken. I also recommend making a reservation if you want to eat here or come early because this place gets booked!

Google
I have Celiac and almost every dish can be made gluten free. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The Kale and Beet salad was killer, and for dinner, I had the Arrabbiata with gf pasta, gulf shrimp, cherry tomatoes, capers and calabrian chili. I would love to have tried it with the squid ink pasta... damn gluten! Either way, it was truly amazing. The Panna Cotta with local strawberries and balsamic did not disappoint. Fabulous place, fun atmosphere, maybe a little loud. Overall I'd give 10/10.

Google
Do not order the seafood. I made that mistake and the shrimp were inedible with a VERY strong fishy smell. Meatballs were good and my husband enjoyed the shortrib although it was very pricey. In the end they gave a discount for the shrimp but in my opinion should've comp'd the whole dish, hence the low score.

Dined last night for my Girlfriend’s birthday and we had a great time. The ricotta and sardines were delicious. Gluten free pizza was really good too. I ordered the risotto for my entree and it was rather salty and too loose, not creamy. The soft shell crab was surprisingly small as well. Other than that the food was really tasty.

Google
I wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is great - it is located in the warehouse district and has a great vibe. However, in prime season reservations are a must because it can be a favorite spot for bachelorette groups. The food was a miss. The pizza was good and recommended. The cacio e pepe was so pepper forward it was inedible. Overall, if they can get the food right this would be a 10/10. Until then, get the pizza and a cocktail.

Yelp
Tucked in the heart of New Orleans, Sofia is serving up Italian comfort with a modern twist, and it's an experience. This isn't just a meal--it's a love letter to carbs, sauce, and indulgence. The Spread: Focaccia & Ricotta Bread Dip - Pillowy, golden, and kissed with just the right amount of salt. But the real star? That whipped ricotta--cloud-like, creamy, and drizzled with honey. You'll be shamelessly scraping the bowl. Homemade Pasta - Fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The alla vodka is silky with a touch of heat, while the ragu is slow-cooked perfection--pure comfort in every bite. Lavender Haze Cocktail - A floral, citrusy dream with just the right amount of kick. It's giving elegance, it's giving balance, it's giving "I need another." If you haven't been to Sofia yet, what are you waiting for?

Yelp
Really enjoyed the food and vibes here. My only regret is not having time to eat here again during my visity to New Orleans! Next time. Note that it's walking distance from the convention center on a street with cool establishments to peek in to on the way. Also note, a seat at the bar in the back allows you a view of the chefs making pizza from scratch. The restaurant has a Sofia Lauren theme although I forget what connection the owners have to her. Anyway, try the shrimp! (See pic.)

Yelp
What a gem of a find! My coworker and I stumbled upon Sofia after reading the positive reviews while we were craving pizza. I'm so glad I found this restaurant as we've come back a couple of times since and it's quickly becoming a local favorite of mine. PRO TIP: When at all possible, make a reservation! If you don't have a reservation, be prepared to wait any day of the week. The atmosphere of Sophia is always busy and bustling without being incredibly overwhelming. I love the cool, casual feel of the restaurant and the larger group tables are perfect for catching up with friends over some delicious Italian food. My first experience here there were only bar seats available and that was a great experience as well. Here are some of the dishes I've tried: - Polpette: pork | brisket | pancetta | amatriciana | parmesan - Arancini: taleggio | truffle | black pepper | pecorino fonduta - Piccante: san marzano tomato | pepperoni | hot peppers | ricotta | crispy kale | honey | pecorino - Ragu: tagliatelle | duck | white wine | thyme | lemon zest - Bruxelles: brussel sprouts | caesar | pecorino | black pepper - Kale: beets | parmesan | hazelnuts | apple shrub vinaigrette My absolute favorite, favorite thing here and the reason why you MUST dine here is the Piccante pizza. It is phenomenal. However, I will warn you that I've had this pizza when it was cooked perfectly and also when it was not the best -- perhaps based on your luck? It will be either the best thing you've ever eaten or you will think I'm a bit crazy for rating this pizza so high. The combination of flavors, the roasted kale, the contrast of spicy, tart, sweet --- to die for! A close second favorite is the duck Ragu. It is such a unique medley of flavors in a pasta dish you would not expect. Definitely worth a try! Service here seems to be a hit-or-miss and I've not once been blown away by the service. However, the food is worth it. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Went with 10 people for a bachelor party. Food was fantastic, and drinks very good, service terrible. 10 people was a bit of a crowd for the space and we were tightly packed into a large table in the middle of the restaurant. Highlight was the food which deserves 5 stars. We had the meatballs, arancini, and burrata around the table to split which we all enjoyed. Pastas as a main dish also delicious. Ambiance is very modern and chill which was a great vibe. Unfortunately, service was AWFUL. We had a waitress who had no interest in our table. Never introduced herself, wouldn't communicate anything and we needed to collect our orders to tell her at the corner, she wouldn't go up to us individually. Had to flag her down to order more drinks despite her walking by our table in the middle of the place.. we were hard to miss. Was a 20% automatic tip which makes sense for such a large group but she deserved 10%. Was nothing but uninterested bordering on rude. Really hurt an otherwise great impression of the restaurant.

Yelp
Spontaneously went to Sofia and it was a pleasant experience! Food was delicious! I noticed that the food is seasonal, so menus change often! I saw at the bar which was a nice experience watching the pizza being made! And service was great and accommodating!

Yelp
Still a solid Italian spot. We had the whipped ricotta, arancini, cacio e pepe, and verde pizza. The ricotta and arancini were delicious and I was so hungry I failed to get any photos. The pizza was excellent, the ingredients and crust are always outstanding. The cacio e Pepe was a disappointment- the sauce was broken. It had a brown appearance upon arrival and was very oily/greasy. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Service was spectacular and warm- I forget her name but our server was wonderful. Great ambiance- I don't know when they added the parklets!

Yelp
Had a excellent time dining at Sofia while vacationing in New Orleans. We started off with the bread dish, the recommendation of our server . It was soo so good , we decide to get the Ragu pasta and the Spec pizza. The Ragu pasta was by far , the better entrée option. Sofia had a fun late night vibe. Service was amazing. Our server was super knowledgeable and even gave us city recommendations for other types of food options. We will definitely be back! It's definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
The Food!!! As a celiac this can be a struggle, I have been to GF restaurants all over the US, NYC, LA, Dallas, you name it... this was the best. The GF pasta was superior. We shared the wedge and the flavors of pickled and spicy onions and v tomatoes with the Gorgonzola was unmatched. Seriously the best wedge I've had anywhere.

Yelp
Overall: This restaurant is a solid pasta/pizza place masquerading as an upscale Italian restaurant. The food and drinks were good, the drinks especially so. The chefs counter was a fun place to sit. But overall, its just way overpriced for what it is. If prices were 20-30% lower I'd easily bump this rating up, but its just too pricey for what it is. Food: 4 Drinks: 5 Service: 3 Value: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Food: Our food was tasty. We ordered the ricotta, the pesto pasta, and the Commendetore pizza. The ricotta was just alright - pretty standard cheese spread on some toasted bread. The pesto had pistachios in it instead of the standard pine nuts, which I thought was interesting but overall not an improvement. Pizza was probably the best dish we had - it was very fresh with great crust and some interesting toppings. Drinks: Our drinks were really fun. I got their version of a hot toddy (a new years specialty) and my girlfriend go their Lavender Haze. The Lavender Haze had an ingredient that was listed as "magic" - they brought out a blue drink in a martini glass, then poured some additional liquid in that turned it bright purple. It was cool to watch. Service: Service was solid but nothing special. We were served reasonably quickly and our waitress was friendly. Value: Prices were quite high for what this is. Single person pizzas were $20-25. Pasta dishes were similar. They were good and fresh, but nowhere near worth that. Strangely enough, the drinks seemed like they might be the best value here - cocktails were $12-14 for unique and interesting drinks. Atmosphere: We sat at the chefs counter. This was a really enjoyable experience. Someone was constantly tossing dough to make a pizza and we had a good view into the kitchen to watch them prepping the pasta dishes. It was basically bar seating but way more entertaining. The only downside was that they insisted on crowding other people right next to us even though there was plenty of space. There were ever only two parties at the chefs counter (with space for ~12 people) and they always sat people right next to us to make it crowded.

Yelp
Sofía is such a downtown delight. My friends and I came here for a girls night out and shared quite a few different dishes. So much pasta, wine and pizza. Everything tasted great. The Cacio e Pepe is so simple but so delicious. Also, can't go wrong with a margherita pizza. It took me a while to get to Sofia but now I can't wait to get back.

Yelp
Loved my experience! We came for a work dinner and they were very accommodating. Our server, Tyberius, was very nice and managed us really well (a very lively bunch). They determined a pre fixe menu for us, which for a group of 25, I'm sure made it easier for them as well. It was served family style and I thought this really was genius from a planning standpoint. Liked didn't love the cucumber e Pepe drink, was happy but switched to wine. All of the food I ate was delicious!!! Restaurant itself is very cute. There's bar seating and a patio when the weather is nice. We were visiting for work, though I'd recommend this to friends for sure.

Yelp
Oh wow. Where to start? Visiting for a conference and decided to check out places nearby. Stumbled upon this gem and fell in love. Ambiance is cozy, service was on point and the food was divine! The crab risotto I still dream about- creamy and luxurious. So good. The pasta was filling and full of flavor and a good kick to it! My coworker got a cocktail and raved about it. Would be a great date spot or after work and just relax and unwind from The day spot. I can't remember the name of the dessert I got as I asked the host to surprise me with his favorite- but I did add a picture- it was fantastic. Can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Still a wonderful experience. We went back here recently to celebrate another milestone. Our baby will be born in 2 weeks! They have some nice sidewalk covered seating now like NYC restaurants. Carbed up- see pics

Yelp
I decided after eating such fantastic New Orleans food with goodbyes to MoPho and Maypop closing both yesterday and fabulous oysters, I would just have a gluten-free pizza. I read the recommendations and decided that I would walk to Sofia that is in the CBD. I thought it was just a pizza joint and had no idea that it was a fine dining Italian restaurant that serves pizza as well as other wonderful dishes. I got there without a reservation at 9 o'clock and I had to wait a half hour just to sit at the bar. The restaurant has beautiful artwork and above the main dining room a pop art picture of Sophia Loren, which I did not connect until later after I saw the picture that this restaurant was in homage to Sophia perhaps with a different spelling. The baseline for all pizza is a Pizza Margarita and I ordered the gluten-free one along with a wonderful cocktail. The bar servers, Jolie and Alice, were wonderful and indulged my gluten intolerance and story telling. The pizza was great and I was forced (untrue) to try the Panne cotta dessert. This was sublime. This is not a pizza joint but a marvelous restaurant that does have GF pizza and pasta. Grazie Mille, Sofia.

Yelp
Food was delicious as always. The kale salad is so fresh and tasty with chunks of yellow squash, slices of tangy beets, and added hazelnuts for crunch... all topped with grated Parmesan! The alla vodka pasta is perfectly Al dente with great portion sizes. Love their aperol spritz. Service is consistently good and the menu changes seasonally. The ambience is light and bright with fun photos of Sofia Loren throughout. Sofia is truly one of our neighborhood go-to's!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious! Cute space and great food. I had the ricotta appetizer and the picante pizza. The pizza was phenomenal. Our server was attentive and the meal was paced well. Will definitely revisit!

Yelp
We had a great meal here. It started w cacio e peppe it wasn't like others I've had but good. Nice cheese tasty a bit undercooked it had a bigger bite to the pasta then I'm use to. But overall good. We then had the commandetore pizza. It was a great crust and the chili oil our amazing waitress brought add to the flavor. The cheesiness of this pizza was great. Our waitress was well versed w the menu and gave great advice. The best thing I ate as dessert my son had the ricotta pie w a pistachio cream was amazing the crystallized orange slices were great to add brightness to the dish. But the stand out for me was my dessert. I had the chocolate budino OMG was that great. It was like the best chocolate pudding/fudge/mousse the Carmel just added to its greatness. I wish I had a scraper to get every bit out of the cute glass it was served in. This place is very cute inside. It has a picture of Sofia Loren but the pizza stove steaks the room all glittery in the corner perfect colors for being in NOLO. My ice tea was also good nice flavor. And an attentive waitress made sure it was never empty.

Yelp
I couldn't even get a good picture of my pasta before eating it all up!! Took my self on a nice solo date and I had to go with the Alla Vodka pasta and a refreshing glass of Lambrusco. Date night, girls night, or solo night -- Sofia is always a good idea!
google avatar

Yelp
We came here on New Year's Eve with two travel weary hungry kids and no reservation. They were able to seat us immediately (which was a surprise). The kids got the Margherita pizza and liked it so much they got a second. We got the risotto, Brussels sprouts, and mista salad. All very good. Service friendly and fast! Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Sofia was excellent. We tried the salad, whipped feta, alla vodka pasta, pesto pasta, and broccolini and none of it disappointed. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
For Italian, go to Sofia. On our first night on a six-day-trip to New Orleans, we walked into Sofia on a Friday evening around 8 p.m. and got a table for four on their outdoor patio. Service was attentive and kind and the food was amazing. To feed four, we ordered the meatballs (for our seven-year-old daughter), the crispy potatoes, bruschetta, and picante pizza, and the pizza with blackberries on it. Everything was full of flavor, but the pizzas stole the show with its unique ingredient combo and hot, chewy crust. We also enjoyed the cocktails. The cocktail with pear puree was balanced and refreshing on a warm evening. Our glasses were also kept full with cold water. Compared to Washington, D.C. prices, our meal and drinks cost less.

Yelp
The food at Sofia is exceptional! Sitting at the bar, we enjoyed the U10 Scallops with olive puttanesca. It was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Even better was the red snapper with capers in a great lemon sauce. The food here is 5-Star good! Unfortunately, the service we received at the bar was not even close to five stars. Our bartender was more preoccupied in talking to an acquaintance also sitting at the bar. It was difficult getting her attention to order wine and then had to remind her we hadn't received it many minutes later. Another bartender, Michael, who was friendly with a wide smile, came over to help us a couple of times which we were very grateful for.

Yelp
Had family in town for Easter and wanted to try some good Italian food. Sofia was booked and busy so our reservations were at 9pm so make sure to book ahead of time. Our waiter was very attentive. All the food was delicious. The ricotta dip was fabulous. The alla vodka was pretty spicy! Still great but should be noted. Would definitely recommend and return.
google avatar

Shanita M.

Yelp
The food was wonderful but the servicer's attitude was horrible. Our reservation was set for the opening of the restaurant so there weren't many patrons in her section. Out of 8 tables, only three, two-person settings were occupied. Mikayla S. was snappy and it genuinely felt as though she did not want to be there. Because of the holiday, the plan was tip generously just out of appreciation. We left it at the 20% mandatory gratuity.

Yelp
It's the 2nd visit to Sofia before leaving NOLA. Food is delicious. You can't go wrong with any pasta in here. We're having the brunch and it's an amazing experience to closed the culinary journey in NOLA. Service is excellent. Attentive and staffs are one of the best value for Sofia. It got live DJ at morning 11am. We order 3 dishes. Short rib polenta Benedict. Dutch baby apple pancake

Yelp
Visited Sofia for the first time last night. The experience was great. The server was great. The food was great. We enjoyed the decor. I will absolutely be back. My favorite thing on the table was probably the Risotto.
google avatar

Debi R.

Yelp
I know. We're in NOLA, and we're at an Italian restaurant? Well, YES! Sofia Loren (hubby's first crush) was a friend of the owner's parents, so the artwork makes sense. North by Northwest (one of my hubby's favorite movies) was playing on the TV while we were dining. Service was incredible. Pasta and pizza was out of this world. I gave 5 starts because of the ambiance, nostalgia, and amazing food. We highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Marcella E.

Yelp
The ambiance was chill. I did not go to the bathroom, so i cannot speak on the quality of the restrooms. lThe food was good, but the waiter was unclear about portion sizes, but he was very nic though. There was a crazy person at the table next to us who threw money on the ground. The lavender haze drink tasted like lavender.
google avatar

Barcamatic M.

Yelp
Quick check in by a cordial hostess as soon as we walked in. The lighting was warm and a nice background ambient music was complementing it. The food was exemplary. Fresh, and rich flavors. An overall delightful experience.

Yelp
Best place ay new orleans for italian food even I could say almost at top 10 of the country. Cacio e pepe was awesome, all about pastas is amazing. The beef or pork was ok. Service is great Drinks are awesome, same for burrata I went two times when I visited new orleans. Place is quiet.

Carlos R.

Yelp
We had an amazing server named Kristi and she took care of us beyond expectations even after getting sat down a little later on a Tuesday that they're not usually open. They kept the kitchen open for us a little later too even though we ended up not ordering anything extra. Everyone was appreciated! Food was shareable size and very good. The Cacio e Pepe was really good.
google avatar

Yelp
Sophia is always a good experience! The Arts District is such a chic part of the city to dine in, and Sophia has a casual yet cute ambiance that's great for date night, girls night, or family night. I think the food is good! I do believe it's overpriced for the portions, however. Especially when it comes to pasta dishes: you don't have to give us more protein, but give us some more noodles and sauce for $25-30! Otherwise, always an enjoyable time.
google avatar

Paayal J.

Yelp
The pasta here was SO delicious that we considered coming back here for every single meal while we were in NOLA for the weekend. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming (shoutout to Ashton and Beaux for amazing service and great recos). Starting off with drinks and apps: we got the honorable mention porron, which was fun and engaging. Came out to about 5 drinks-- not very strong, but still tasty. Also tried the fiesta italiano and loved it. Got bruschetta without the pine nuts (they are very accommodating for allergies/ dietary restrictions)-- that focaccia is heavenly! Highly recommend. For our mains, we got the piccante/ spicy pizza, and substituted broccolini instead of pepperoni. Has an awesome little kick to it and very flavorful. Last but certainly not least, the alla vodka. I will be dreaming about the pasta and its vodka sauce for months to come!! Wish we had room for dessert, as that looked amazing too. My #1 New Orleans reco!!

Yelp
Headed over to @eatsofianola for wine Wednesdays! Every Wednesday Sofia has select wine bottles half off...yess I said half off! Now that's a deal! Great way to try that wine you were eying!! While you are there don't forget to try their delicious eats..they are Known for some amazing pastas, pizzas, and so much more! wine of course! sardines...I was pleasantly surprised. That pita bread was and I loved how they made the dish interactive with the butter, lemon, and home made hot sauce! Ricotta dip...always a favorite! Alla Vodka Pasta...that hint of spice was perfect! This is a seasonal one..we got the Peaches! The peach and the Gouda were definitely a perfect pairing! Get it!

Yelp
Best food here so far in Mew Orleans! The service was great and loved the family style. All appetizers were the best.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was great!! I highly recommend the Alla vodka Blanco + mushrooms Mortadella pizza Cacio de Pepe In that order! Vibes were nice, server was friendly. We sat in an outside/indoor enclosed building but it was so loud next to the street. It had AC and ceiling fans though so it was still comfortable! I would definitely come back. Parking: park in the surrounding streets and walk over

Yelp
Great service along with amazing food!!!!! Literally a night and day difference from the Bourban St nightmare last night involving food poisoning. Homemade pasta & pizza for the win. Worth the walk/journey - treat yo self! Ps: our server Molly was absolutely amazing - very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and able to answer questions easily. Wonderful experience.

Yelp
Reservations at Sofia are strongly encouraged -- and with good reason (there was a bit of a wait, while I was in town). Despite not calling in advance, my colleague and I were seated within 30 minutes. This place is vibe-y. The decor unsurprisingly featured many eras and pictures of Sofia Loran. I'd describe the atmosphere as moody, yet vibrant - it's dim in there and quite rambunctious - but it's just what I'd expect. We tried the margherita and salsiccia pizzas. Both were decently sized (and very shareable!) The margherita was fairly standard. The garlic confit was very rich on the salsiccia - which while enjoyable in the first few slices, quickly became a bit much. I was a tad bit disappointed with how quickly the pizza became soggy though. If I were to come back, I'd switch up the items we ordered (esp since it's intended to be shared family style).
google avatar

Brie W.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and it was pretty good! Drinks were tasty, food was good, and the overall atmosphere was vibey. I'm not sure if this is regular but there was a DJ. Usually I get annoyed by the loud music when a DJ is at restaurants but this was fine! The bartenders are attentive and will help you make great decisions on what to order. I see why this place is loved!

Yelp
For me, Sophia is just perfect at hitting every element. Beautiful yet fun intimate date over good pasta salad pizza dessert and cocktails. Wish I had all the food and drink pics but the cucumber gin is refreshing and to top it off with meringue cake and espresso martini.

Yelp
this is our favorite restaurant we come here every time in New Orleans best pizza in town wood oven recently we ordered the funky pizza. We added tomato as a base and it's excellent.

Yelp
It has been several weeks now since my trip to NO, and I still think about this bowl of pasta on the regular. They offer a gluten free pasta (not penne for once) that absolutely passes as the real thing. The Alla Vodka was spectacular, spicy yet creamy. We also ordered the shrimp for an appetizer and it was perfectly cooked. This was the first dinner of my trip and the rest of my meals paled in comparison.

Yelp
Great mix of elevated Italian and tasty pizzas. Fish was excellent and pizza and bread had us wanting more.

Yelp
Sundays are for brunch !! We took a while to try to find a good brunch that had great food and we decided on Sofia. Best choice by far! 1. Amazing food 2. Great Service 3. Fresh food that is NOT deep fried 4. Perfect drinks We loved it so much that we can't wait to have it next time we are in town

Yelp
This place was really great. We took a lyft here so I couldn't speak to the parking situation. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We sat outside and I thought it was very nice. Service could have been a tad better, or more attentive (just felt like we were waiting awhile sometimes) - but the food was so good that it is still a five star for me. They have both gluten free pizza, and gluten free pasta. I had the commandetore (gluten free) pizza and it was delicious. I loved it. My mom had gluten free pasta which I didn't like as much as my pizza, but she really enjoyed it.

Yelp
My uber driver recommended Sofia to us so we made it our sunday brunch. We got seated shortly on a game day sunday, so we were very pleased. Starting the breakfast potatoes, those were sooo good. Super garlicky, some parmesan, and they were so crispy. Also got the meatballs, which unfortunately were a bit cold inside. For mains I think we got most of the pasta, the carbonara was my favorite, I got a perfectly poached egg on top. It wasn't too dense either. The alla vodka was probably my second favorite. Desserts slayed as well, and I think it's hard to make a Good single serve tiramisu, so I was impressed. My only warning is, if you come on the weekend for brunch they have two 'DJ's inside playing tiktok's greatest hits... so be aware. I think it's an interesting choice, they definitely didn't fit the vibe. I would come back on a weekday night and try their pizza!
