"The Sofitel Brussels Europe is located less than 200 meters away from Stirwen. With its modernist setting, this hotel, tailored for eurocrats and business travelers in a bustling district, is perfectly located for all food lovers." - The MICHELIN Guide

"The location of this sleek 149-room property—just a half mile from Berlaymont, the headquarters of the European Commission—contributes to its cosmopolitan feel, with Eurocrats descending there for lunch at BE, the haute restaurant/bar run by chef Stéphane Coune. Just off the spare atrium lobby, a library with velvet armchairs and print sofas makes for an intimate nook; the basement workout room uses the cantilevered windows of the atrium as a fountain, with water spilling over the glass outside; and the hammam has direct elevator access from rooms upstairs. Rooms, decked out with gliding panel curtains, also come with an espresso machine and TV channels from a number of EU countries."

The hotel as the name suggests is in the European quarter of Brussels. It is situated on a large plaza of restaurants, Jourdanplein. It's a short 5-10 minute walk across the park to the European Parliament and that could or could not be convenient depending on where in Brussels you want to be. It is a 500m walk (up a smallish hill) to the nearest metro station and the narrow streets and heavy traffic make this the metro the best way to get around.||The hotel is what you would expect from a Sofitel. There is a plaque on the wall - it opened in about 2006 (from memory!) and has not had a refresh since then. It doesn't feel at all tired but it is no longer the most modern. The rooms are comfortable and although their was a problem with our room, it was quickly rectified. There was nothing about the room itself that I could reasonably fault other than the speed of the wifi which was hard to use. Considering that this hotel would attract a number of business travelers, I trust this is a common complaint. The gym was underwhelming and looked like it was designed by someone who has never used a gym.||We enjoyed the breakfast which was of good quality and variety. The hotel staff were consistently wonderful.||I don't know if I would choose this hotel again. Not that there was anything wrong with it per se but the location wasn't good for us as tourists visiting Brussels, however it may be convenient for you.

We recently had the pleasure of staying here, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Clara and Ava at the reception were absolute stars, especially with our 5-year-old. They went above and beyond by surprising him with a travel diary filled with fun activities and coloring pencils, which kept him entertained throughout our stay—such a thoughtful gesture that really made us feel welcome. The location of the hotel is perfect. The cleanliness of the hotel was flawless. Our room was spacious, and had the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in—ensuring a restful night after our days of exploring. One of the highlights of our stay was the rooftop bar. The views were absolutely superb, and it was the perfect spot to unwind with a drink in hand while watching the sunset. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxing, making it a great place to end the day. Overall, our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of outstanding service, prime location, immaculate cleanliness, comfortable accommodations, and that incredible rooftop bar makes this hotel a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!

The staff at the reception desk is very professional, friendly, polite and helpful. Dali at the concierge arranged the taxi for us to go to the airport without any problem and at a fixed price. We really appreciate his effort. |The breakfast dining hall was very well run by the lead staff member and her team. |The hotel location is great, as it situates directly in front of a bustling square full of restaurants to choose from

Mr. Deniau.||I must apologize for this late note being sent to you and your staff for our recent stay in Brussels Sofitel.||Like anything, we had some hiccups with the hotel and staff upon our arrival. But I want this note to focus on the huge positives of those that we encountered during our week and the levels of service that surpass other Sofitel hotels that we have stayed in over the years and the one that we hold in highest honour (Munich).||Morning Breakfast|The morning staff (Breakfast) Adina Hamoro & Liliana Zarate; they don’t miss a beat. Their attention to detail, customer engagement is beyond approach and their staff follow them by ensuring all guests are well taken care of. The conversation, care and a sense of “Family” they show in the morning restaurant is over the top amazing. The whole week with these two made our vacation worthy of a return.||Now the third wheel that complements the above two (2) ladies is Tina Balepe. One of your morning chefs. She has a grip and control on the meal area like no other and consistently produced quality morning meals and food suggestions. We were introduced to Tina by Liliana and from that moment forward, we were in very good hands and she did not disappoint us or the other guests.||We had a list of places and activities we wanted to accomplish on our vacation, but felt more inclined to relax in the restaurant and enjoy our morning time with our new found family. These three (3) ladies and their staff and helpers elevated the service to another level that we have not experienced in all of our travels. ||Evening Restaurant |The Evening Restaurant Manager; young, very well versed to handle any situation, all customers or individual requests. Anthony Ricciardi made our final evening and my Birthday supper probably one of the best I have ever had. He, the servers and the Chefs working that night had their hands full and the restaurant was very busy; but the service was second to none. Again his level of customer engagement was most notable; we enjoyed watching him take care of the patrons and being a part of that level of service.||Hotel Bar.|Now I must apologize for this. But the Gentlemen working the Main bar that night (British we believe). He introduced us to Anthony for our evening supper and we had spent a few nights having a drink in your bar and between his positive work ability, conversation and amazing customer service he also needed to be recognized for going above and beyond. Please apologize to him for us losing his name, we owe him a drink when we return. ||Mr. Deniau, the common theme and denominator for all of these staff members is solid work ethics, commitment to ensuring quality service and above all things making the guest/customer feel a great sense of family and just at ease in your hotel while having an amazing experience.||Please convey to them our deepest Thank you for taking care of us and to know they all are at the top of their game in the Hospitality service. Until our next visit.

Recently stayed here as a birthday treat for my partner and had such an amazing experience! A huge shoutout to Clara for her personal touches and for making the experience so special. You were amazing. The hospitality, friendliness and attentiveness went above and beyond. The location is great, the room is very clean and the amenities are great. I would highly recommend staying and look forward to coming back for business and pleasure in the future. Thank you!!

Celebrating an important birthday and traveling by rail because of my love for railways as I began work in 1970 in Newcastle upon Tyne in Great Britain my journey ended here in Brussels before returning home. It was not planned that I would stay here, but I am so pleased I did. Backpacks put to one side and worn by days of travel, me and my wife relaxed in this really nice place that became a haven for us. I had just turned 70, an age I thought I would never see and here I am to tell the tale of Paddington. I am that person who lived in railways stations in London aged 17 and worked in 5 star hotels yet taken in by a family of 5 children. Who would have though that many years later I am staying and relaxing on a rail journey in this 5 star hotel. I was welcomed and upgraded with a warmth that was gentile and sincere. A passion for my well-being and respect. Such warmth so welcome to both of us. Dinner was sublimed and extraordinary, although no fault of the hotel a group of business people were noisy in the bar. Breakfast was amazing efficient that aloud us to leave in plenty of time for the last part of journey home in Northumberland in the U.K.

Very good and quiet hotel. Service was excellent and the people in different departments were very polite and exceeded expectations. Breakfast was very nice. I loved the happy design of the lobby area. The hotel is located on the square with many different restaurants and also a small park beside. Plenty of supermarkets around.I truly enjoy our stay there.

I just finished my first stay at the Sofitel. Was very impressed by the consistently high level of service and friendliness amongst all staff: front desk, maid, breakfast servers, and masseuse. Upon checking in, I received a call to ensure that everything in my room was in order. The manager then dropped by with a gift of Belgian chocolates. The gym is also excellent. Only minor quibble is that the room arm chair and curtains were a bit dated and could use refreshing. Overall, I would be happy to return!
