Brussels Beer Guide: Top Breweries, Brilliant Restaurants and Gorgeous Hotels

"The Sofitel Brussels Europe is located less than 200 meters away from Stirwen. With its modernist setting, this hotel, tailored for eurocrats and business travelers in a bustling district, is perfectly located for all food lovers." - The MICHELIN Guide

Sofitel Brussels Europe

"The location of this sleek 149-room property—just a half mile from Berlaymont, the headquarters of the European Commission—contributes to its cosmopolitan feel, with Eurocrats descending there for lunch at BE, the haute restaurant/bar run by chef Stéphane Coune. Just off the spare atrium lobby, a library with velvet armchairs and print sofas makes for an intimate nook; the basement workout room uses the cantilevered windows of the atrium as a fountain, with water spilling over the glass outside; and the hammam has direct elevator access from rooms upstairs. Rooms, decked out with gliding panel curtains, also come with an espresso machine and TV channels from a number of EU countries."

Sofitel Brussels Europe (Brussels, Belgium) Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Far from the chocolate shops and historical buildings of the tourists’ Brussels — well, not literally far, but you get the point — is the sparkling newish EU district, home, mostly, to endless ministry buildings and a stable of corporate chain hotels. And a few gems. The Sofitel Brussels Europe is one of the latter; who knew technocrats had such a soft spot for fancy modernist furniture?" - Tablet Hotels

Amazing experience. Price/quality: 10/10. I came here for a surgery and stayed for more than 10 days. Pluses: 1. Great concierge team, super helpful. The Spanish staff member is probably the best I ever interacted with, and I visited many hotels from the "Top 50 Hotels" worldwide. Congrats for having him. 2. Cleaning team was good. 3. For the price, the room was perfect. Minuses: 1. The door doesn’t close properly if you just let it close by itself. One day I left it like that, being used, and when I came back in the evening, the door was open with my laptop, setup, and everything inside. 2. The pillow had a slight smell, maybe 5%. I think it comes from the cleaning solution they use. Not very disturbing, but still noticeable. Other notes: I mostly ate outside because I found better food, but at these low prices I cannot expect the highest quality of breakfast or dinner. All the other aspects were fine, and I strongly recommend the place.

Members of my family live in Bruxelles, so I stay in Sofitel Bruxelles often. After a journey, the colourful reception area is a joy to see. Welcoming staff take trouble to remember a returning guest, and make check-in very easy indeed, in spite of the hotel being quite busy throughout my five day stay. My small grandchildren visit me there regularly, and I particularly appreciate the kindness of restaurant staff at the breakfast buffet, which is a huge attraction for all ages. I predict that the children will have happy memories of these visits, not least because of how accommodating and cheerful the staff remain in face of rapidly changing demands of hungry toddlers! Bedrooms in the hotel are well stocked and comfortable and a good night's sleep is highly possible in the sumptuous beds there.

We stayed for two nights at the Sofitel Brussels and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is perfectly located on a charming square, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafés, with a lovely park right next to it. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the city center, which we didn’t mind at all. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Superior Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. A big thank you to the reception staff — both the morning and evening teams were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, we don’t remember their names, but their professionalism and warmth made a real difference in our stay. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Brussels — great location, excellent service, and a touch of luxury.

I would like to thank Clara for her outstanding service during my stay. She arranged a comfortable room upgrade and thoughtful amenities, which made my experience very pleasant. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options. The chef had a positive and welcoming attitude, which added to the experience. In the evening, the rooftop spot was perfect to enjoy a drink, with a nice atmosphere. The hotel also offers a well-equipped gym and a relaxing spa, which I found convenient. The staff overall were positive and helpful, creating a warm and professional environment. The location of the hotel is also quite good—around 400 meters’ walk to Schuman metro station, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and would be happy to

I spent at Sofitel Brussels Europe 3 nights for a long Autumn weekend in October, from Friday night until Monday afternoon, at this very nice and very conveniently-located Sofitel Brussels Europe, after a previous and also very nice stay at the same Sofitel in June, just before the Summer. I enjoyed a delightful and pleasant stay, with a very friendly and helpful staff and doing their best to make sure I could enjoy a wonderful stay. I could really relax, and visit the City of Brussels and the different areas, easy to reach, while also enjoying the great Leopold Park and the amazing museums (such as House of European History) in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel, and also use their nice and well-equipped gym (they also have contact with a very good personal trainer (M. Raphaël Miocev) who had previously coached me there, and whom I would recommend, should you need access to a good fitness instructor in the hotel's gym. The Hotel also has a Spa with a contact with a good professional, although I did not try her for massages etc. I really had an very good and very relaxing stay and journey in Brussels, thanks to the nice, friendly and always caring staff of Sofitel Brussels Europe. They also offer an amazing breakfast buffet with some very caring and very friendly staff, such as Mr. Jimmy, Ms. Adina, Ms. Liliana, and Ms. Tina preparing the various varieties of eggs. I also enjoyed a very nice Autumn dinner at the 1040 Brasserie Restaurant with some nice and helpful staff. My room had a very pleasant view overlooking Leopold Park. I really had a very enjoyable stay there at Sofitel Brussels Europe, and shall definitely and soon come back and stay in this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Brussels Europe. The staff were amazing – warm, friendly, and always ready to help, which really made the experience special. The hotel itself is very well located, with plenty of great food options just a short walk away. It’s also a fantastic choice for families with toddlers – everything felt convenient and comfortable, and we really appreciated how easy it was to get around. The breakfast buffet was adequate and gave us a nice start to the day. Overall, a great stay that we’d be happy to recommend and return to!

The rooms are amazing and spacious, the breakfast is spectacular, the location is unbeatable, the staff are thoughtful and kind, and the spa and amenities are great. The only downside is that the overnight off-hours menu was deplorable. To be fair, it was all food in some kind of jar, but this was not specified on the menu, so we expected real food and got something that tasted like cat food. Otherwise, our stay was spectacular!

Yelp
Very nice and luxurious hotel. Rooms are good sized, bathroom also very nice and large, 3-ply toilet paper!! The included breakfast is better than most hotels. Good location, lots of good restaurants right outside. Overall very happy with my week long stay here, would stay again!

Yelp
Excellent location, especially for business/EU/government functions. Very convenient. Tons of stuff is walking distance. Common areas are tastefully decorated. Service is friendly and competent. Rooms are good sized and well furnished. Bath/shower combo. Clean and excellent isolation for good night sleep. Few negatives, so it is really 4.5 stars: -too expensive for the value provided; -shower stall is extremely small, so it is not comfortable and relaxing to take a shower; -front desk is understaffed, so it takes too long to check in/out, even for Platinum Members. All is all, quite pleasant stay.

Yelp
From the moment we arrived to Hôtel Sofitel, At the front desk we met mr Remi. I told Remi we have a different hotel 2 miles away and not happy with it. the rooms were old and smelly. I asked Mr. Remi we just wanted check out the hotel to compare. After quick walk told Mr Remi I am not leaving book the hotel room. The Hotel was very clean and inviting. It is next to park that you can walk to and sit by the water and admire different birds and swans. Outside the hotel is big courtyard with lots of bars and restaurants to hang. Because of mr Remi's attitude and willingness to help made my visit to Brussels very good experience, thank you Mr. Remi.

Yelp
Great hotel located just few miles from the city center. Highlights: Location is 15 min car ride from the airport and 5 mins to the city center, Very clean and well kept rooms and hotel, Great breakfast, Very friendly, Free WiFi, Helpful and polite staff and Several pubs and restaurants right outside the hotel. Can improve: The concierge was not very helpful when we were trying to find a dinner spot and Charging for local calls when we are paying a decent amount of the rooms is a little petty. Benchmark: They are one of the nicer hotels I have stayed in and compared to other hotels I would pick them since they were away from the city center. Stayed in Jan 2016 and will return if we visit Brussels again.

Yelp
Stayed here for Tomorrowland and got the worst concierge service ever. Told us to take the bus cause all taxis were going to Tomorrowland, we found a taxi walking thank god. Who tells a person they won't call them a taxi in the rain??!? No help, no clue why Tomorrowland has this as a high rated hotel. Room view was horrible. Nothing good around the hotel.

Yelp
Stayed here as part of Tomorrowland hotel package. Nice reception and staff were accommodating on our arrival. Room was nice double bed, desk area, comfy lounge chair. Bathroom had rain shower and wall mounted unit also. Large cosmetic mirror area in bathroom. Wardrobes with safe. Nespresso machine. Needed to ask for tea facilities but got it straight away. Slippers provided. Need to ask for robes. Safe in room. Breakfast was ok but very expensive €24 each. If not included go out for breakfast. Cocktails nice. Late check out very expensive €75 for extra hour. My opinion after staying in a number of high star hotels this is average.

Yelp
Hotel was OK (good sized rooms, moderately comfortable bed, modern amenities and nice breakfast/restaurant and bar options) in a central location. The service, especially the Concierge is great. However, the WiFi is awful - slow to nonexistent, even the "premium" one that they charge $25 for. Completely unacceptable if you need to do anything that requires a strong internet connection, whether business related like download/upload files or even trying to watch a short video.

Yelp
Hotel was fine. Good location. Clean. Good sized room. Bed was uncomfortable. WiFi was extremely slow. Very bad for a business hotel.
