Best Korean Restaurants in Austin | Eater Austin

"With dive bar vibes, mirrors, and lots of lights in its dim dining room, this Crestview Korean restaurant is a top spot for drinking and dining. It offers noodle dishes such as ramen topped with cheese, stewy spicy rice cakes, barbecue with offal options, and stir-fries. You can also choose from its wide selection of sakes, soju, and Korean wines." - Darcie Duttweiler

This is our favorite late-night Korean spot! The place is small and the music a bit loud but the food is delicious and served with care. It has a cozy, authentic Korean feel great for catching up with friends. I’ve been to South Korea before, and while I’m not Korean myself, this place really reminds me of the food scene there. Most of the customers are Korean, which adds to the atmosphere. They also serve soju and traditional Korean drinks, Friendly staff. Definitely worth trying!

Pretty small place but the food is packed with flavor. Corn cheese is a classic, it was sweet creamy and cheesy. The la galbi was good not too sweet. The pork belly was too dry. I could’ve passed on the chicken, since I’m more of a bone in kind of gal. I usually don’t go for kimchi fried rice but it was my fave dish of the night.

Google
Nice Korean restaurant serving a variety of Korean dishes and alcohol options. The ambience is super cool, music was a bit loud, the food tasted all sweet and mostly the same. I was expecting it to taste more authentic hot but it was the opposite. Chicken was supposed to be spicy but turned out sweet. Everything tasted the same as it had the same sweet sauce in it. The only thing that stood out was the corn and cheese. Korean blueberry wine was good and sake was good too as always. Overall a good place to hangout but food needs improvement.

Google
This place my favorite for Korean food. I came here many time. I recommend for hangout with friends. The place is well cleaned and the atmosphere is comfortable. There is music to listen to. The food is delicious and the price is reasonable. The staff is friendly and attention. The owner is also friendly and kind. I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
One of my favorite korean spots that always comes in clutch when I need a late night snack. Portions always tend to be generous and I’ve dined and delivered food; and they’re both delicious (albeit the food gets cold when delivered but that’s not the stores fault). I always get full and it’s so satisfying. It’s also a great spot to drink with friends as a pocha restaurant.

Google
Overall: 3.9/5 [Postmates Delivery] We ordered on Postmates and the food delivered earlier than expected. Packaging was nicely done, and the portion size was generous. Galbi/Korean Short Ribs ($26.49): Really solid! Good amount of meat, great flavor, and not too fatty. Definitely preferred this over the samgyubsal—would order again. Samgyubsal/Grilled Pork Belly ($24.99): The pork belly pieces were huge, but they didn’t have much flavor. It came with a side of lettuce (wrapped separately), white rice, and two small sauces—one was sesame oil, and the other was ssam (I think). The ssam had all the flavor, so I wish they’d given us more. Luckily, we had some kimchi in the fridge, so we threw together a lettuce wrap, and that made it way better.

Me and my buddy were up late and he said he had a place that we could go grab food late so I wanted to come check out this spot I've never had Korean food I have to say. As soon as I walked in the door I was overwhelmed with how nice everyone is and how friendly the staff was and how crazy cool the environment is like everybody here was having a great time It was such a good experience to be honest. I asked my server what I should order and then I ended up checking out their Instagram to get some ideas and ended up going with rice cake with spicy sauce with all the toppings which includes five fried dumplings, deep fried thin noodles and mozzarella cheese. I did end up going to the restroom It was fairly clean. Overall I had a great time and will definitely be back I'm super happy that they're open late they close at 2:00 a.m. and I heard Fridays they have karaoke.

Google
The food here blew me away! This was my first time trying Korean food and everything has so much flavor. We got the tteokbokki with mozzarella (huge and such a rich and flavorful first food), the Korean beef short ribs (a nice subtle flavor that was so good, the meat fell right off) and the sweet honey soy sauce fried chicken w scallion (fried perfectly, great flavor). Our server was so knowledgeable, great recs, and attentive! We watched multiple happy birthdays which made me want to have my next birthday there, and the Kpop music was a good touch! We drank out of styrofoam cups which I wasn’t expecting, but honestly I couldn’t care less because of how good my experience was!

Yelp
"What happens at SOHA stays at SOHA." Well, that's what happens when you drink too much soju at SOHA, haha. You forget what happened. I'm just kidding, but I'm not kidding at the same time. SOHA is an incredible place with incredible staff, so let's get into the review! ---- Let's get into the review: Pros: - Late hours - Parking is abundant (in front/lot) - Food is delicious - Dive-like feel (love this part) - Friendly staff Side Notes: - Closed on Mondays - Hours: 5 PM until 2 AM What We Got: - Too much soju - Corn cheese - Steamed soft egg - Seafood pancake - Galbi - Yang dak (fried chicken) - Fish cake soup - Military soup ---- Design/Space: This spot reminds me of LA to Korea, where we call them sool-jibs (술집) or pochas (포차), places where you can drink and eat street food (SOHA has a lot more than street food) with your close friends. The vibes are perfect, with the photos all over the walls, Korean movies, or songs blasting in the background/TVs. They can arrange tables for larger groups, but it can get pretty packed quickly, so plan accordingly. Food/Drinks: The food is incredible; paired with soju, it hits the spot every time we've been there. We have ordered so much there, and they allow takeout, too. The fried chicken to galbi is so good the day after, haha. SOHA is one of the better spots in Austin for authentic Korean food and drinks. Go crazy with it, but the corn cheese and soft egg to start as apps is our go-to, and some soup and meat dishes pair nicely. They also have a special somaek (소맥: beer + soju) contraption that swirls together for you to have at the table - check it out for larger groups! Staff: From the owner to the staff, everyone is incredibly hard-working, quick, and respectful. I am biased towards the owner because he gives to so many people, so I will always tell people to go to SOHA because he offers customer service and pushes his staff to provide. Opportunities To Improve: Less soju, hahaha. I have a hate/love relationship with it, but it comes with the overall experience. Call Uber if you plan on drinking. ---- Summary: This is one of the top spots for Korean food ambiance and the perfect spot to eat alone or with a large group. If you love Korean food or are interested, come by SOHA and check it out. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Korean restaurants and pochas these days tend to be overpriced due to the popularity of Korean food in the states but although Soha was also a big on the expensive side, it is absolutely worth the price. The kimchi jiggae was some of the best I had because they did not skimp out on the kimchi and it has SO much flavor! There was also a ton of pork belly. Seriously one of the best kimchi jiggae I have had. The bulgogi beef was good and reasonable portion as well. Soju is soju and will always be priced higher at these places. Our waiter was very attentive and I will definitely come back again because the food was really good and worth the price!

Yelp
This place is pretty small and gets pretty cramped pretty quickly. Service is pretty quick but the vibes are great for just sitting and hanging out even after you've finished your meal. We got the tteokbokki, samgyeopsal, and kimchi jjigae. The tteokbokki was standard and came with udon and various rice cakes. The kimchi jjigae came in a large pot over a fire and went perfectly with rice--perfect for a cold day. The samgyeopsal was lightly charged and came with lettuce to make wraps.

Yelp
They have such good food variety! && the atmosphere is so much fun with all the pretty lights and music¡

Yelp
Best pocha spot in Austin. The army stew and kimchi fried rice are amazing. The restaurant itself gives a cozy, casual feel, and has a late-night vibe since it opens until 2 AM. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends, drink, and eat. Definitely a go-to for late night Korean eats in Austin.

Yelp
where has SOHA been all my life? the food is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. I visited austin for a weekend and we stopped by SOHA for a late night dinner. there wasn't a wait on a sunday night and plenty of parking in the back. between the three of us, we got four dishes and it was more than enough. I am still thinking about it now.

Yelp
We had such a good time at SOHA. The food was delish. This is a perfect restaurant for ordering dishes to share with friends. I came here in a group of seven, and we only waited a few minutes for a table on a Saturday evening. They are open late and have great bar vibes, but we just enjoyed their amazing food. Here are the dishes we got: Corn cheese: Yummmmmm. The sweet corn mixed with cheese was surprisingly so good. Everyone loved it. Kimchi fried rice: This was good! Pretty standard. Rice cake with spicy sauce: I loved the mixture of types of rice cake pieces. Portion was quite small. Beef bulgogi: Amazing, this was an overall favourite of our group. Very very small portion size though. They gave us such a tiny bowl of rice with it. Sweet honey soy sauce fried chicken: This was my personal favourite. The chicken was soooo juicy. Spicy beef intestine: The flavour was very rich and interesting. It's not something I would order on my own, but we enjoyed trying it. I will say the food was pricey, as we ended up paying $22 each, and I was only partially full. The dishes were quite small, especially the beef bulgogi. For the price, I would expect the portions to be at least a little bigger. A minor grievance I have is that they use styrofoam cups for water. I don't really understand how hard it is to use reusable cups when all their other dishes are reusable.

Yelp
Soha is a great spot for Korean food. The ambiance is amazing. Makes me feel like I'm right where I need to be. It's a cozy spot.

Yelp
Boneless chicken was so yummy. Perfect for takeouts to kareoke nearby! The people helping at the front desk were very nice and patient with us. We also grabbed some cold shoju to go. Cute little restaurant! Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was an amazing experience. Quite small, but food was really good. Expensive too.

Yelp
Y'all...this was the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had in my life and I had it as takeaway so I'm sure it's even better when you eat it there. Can't wait to try like literally everything on the menu. A little on the pricy side but so worth it, very quality! The ambience is definitely a little over stimulating for me haha as it's more of a bar vibe (loud music and dark) or at least it was when I went in the evening but seems fun!
google avatar

Wendy B.

Yelp
Do NOT go in the summer and expect to eat there. There is no air conditioning. The first time I went, we had to leave shortly after our food arrived because I almost passed out. It was cooler outside than it was inside. It is extremely loud. All this said, I'll still brave it because the food is excellent. If you just get everything to go, or if you go in the winter, you'll be fine.

Yelp
very flavorful dishes that were filling and delicious. prices are on the higher end but the portion sizes are also bigger. i split the fire chicken with cheese with my boyfriend and got extra rice was very full by the end. i was very surprised by the portion of meat in the dish, there was a lot of meat and even some tteokbokki. our table got the cheese corn on the house and it was amazing. this place does their melted cheese very well and i highly recommend getting a dish that has cheese. service was very friendly but didn't check up on us often and we had to go up to them to ask for rice. very noisy but expected since it's a barish place that's opened late.

Yelp
came late on a wednesday night and it was a 10 minute wait, the restaurant is super small! it's also pretty dark and the music is loud, great for a pub atmosphere but if you're just wanting to dine, it could be a bit much. pa dak: 10/10 chicken came out hot and crispy. the sweet soy sauce was really good and I loved the green onions. buldak chicken: 9/10 this was super yummy and the cheese added a lot to it. my only gripe is that it wasn't spicy at all! tteokbokki: 8/10 normally I do not like tteokbokki at all because it's too sweet for me, but this is the first time I actually liked it! it wasn't too sweet and more savory which I loved. they also had the flat rice cakes and udon noodles, cooked perfectly chewy. this place is a bit expensive, but their portions are decent. the food was tasty and i'd definitely come again for a late night snack!
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE SOHA TO DEATH. Their corn cheese, kimchi fried rice, and deokbokki are some of my favorites ANYWHERE. I love the vibes here, and it's always such a fun time drinking and eating with friends. The food is honestly really good. Beware that they can have long waits on weekend nights and Friday nights, but it's worth the wait. Vibes are amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
I came with a few work friends last night because they knew my love for Korean food. I was not disappointed. We were seated quickly, despite it looking fairly busy. The menu looked incredible. The highlight of my meal was the tteok mandu guk. It is one of my favorite soups, and this one was incredibly flavorful. I will absolutely be coming back.
google avatar

Lin L.

Yelp
A tiny & cozy place. However air condition is not working, so it's very hot inside. I wonder if it's 100 degrees out there, how hot this place will be. Very loud music & dark. Many young students come to drink. I do not see they order many food, mostly drink. The food is just okay to me. Order the chicken feet, it's still very hard. Only ate 2 and just left it untouched. The steam egg has no taste. The pork belly & octopus is 7/10. It's a Okay. Its also a little pricey. 2 stars is rewarded for the service. Server very friendly & helpful.

Yelp
The first thing I love about Soha is that it doesn't feel like a restaurant in a strip mall. The ambiance is great- good lighting, good decor. Second of course is the food! I don't even love Korean food but loved Soha food. Spicy noodles and scallion pancake were tops and bulgogi was a close second. Only downside is cramped tables-they put three of us-two large men included at a table for two. Service also feels a bit like you are being rushed. Minor details, overall an excellent place.
google avatar

Yelp
Stella is great. Friendly and has good skills. I have been going to her for a couple years.
google avatar

Sandi G.

Yelp
Came here for the first time around 5pm on Friday. We're the only table there. It did get busy a bit later so it's a good thing we go there early. However, even though we're the only table there, the food still took a while to come out. We got the Korean fried chicken, seafood pancake and Korean spicy rice cakes with cheese and dumplings. Everything was delicious! The only qualms I have is that it's a pretty small place. It got progressively loud as more people showed up and harder for us to have conversations with one another. Now that Seoulju is gone, I could see this as the next Korean comfort food spot.
google avatar

Briana N.

Yelp
The pocha vibes are so real! Not only is this a great spot for hanging out with friends and getting some food late into the night, but the food is so good!! I would say get there a little before you want to eat because the restaurant isn't the biggest and it fills up quickly. That being said, they told us to expect a 30 min wait, and we were seated within 10 min. Although it did take a while to flag down a waiter to take down our order. The kimchi fried rice with cheese and an egg - iconic! You really can't go wrong here, it was delicious as expected. But make sure to mix in the cheese as soon as you get it because it hardens on the plate so quickly. The fishcake soup was a really light broth and a good refresher compared to so many of the other dishes being spicy. However, I'm used to fishcake soup having more of a fish sauce taste and a tang with a little bit of heat. So in terms of soup, it was really good. But in terms of fishcake soup, I was a little disappointed. But they do give lots of fishcake! My personal favorite of the night was the spicy pork belly with kimchi and vegetables. The sauce was so addicting and not too spicy. My only complaints: more rice and definitely more pork belly. We only got one small bowl of rice for this whole dish so we had a lot of sauce and vegetables left over. And it felt like there was barely any meat inside, which should have been the star of the dish!

Jordan M.

Yelp
They had amazing food! I also liked the yogurt soju. Music is bumping and the vibes and service are good.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Everything we ate was delicious and as much as we wanted to keep each bite of our plates to ourselves, we just had to share with everyone else at the table. Service was great, we got there a little bit before 10 PM, it closes at 2 AM. It was practically empty on Thursday night and assumed it was normal. Seemed like a classic hole in the wall hidden gem that probably saw more life on the weekends. Slowly, after 10, a steady crowd began trickling in, and the place was packed within an hour. This had zero impact on service or timeliness of additional food or drink we ordered. Can't remember what we got for appetizers, but we got green tea, warm sake, and soju. Spicy Ramen, bibimbap, bulgogi, plain fried rice, and beef fried rice.
google avatar

Yelp
SOHA 소하 was amazingggg. best cheese corn i've ever had. kimchi fried rice with egg and cheese + galbi was such an elite combo. generous portions of every dish! definitely an exceptional spot for delicious korean food. i wanna come back to try their fried dumplings and rice cakes :3 also inside is a vibeeee. perfect for late night eats with friends. new favorite!
google avatar

Thomas N.

Yelp
My friends and I love going here to get our Korean bar food fix in and its open late! The food never disappoints, good atmosphere, and definitely has been super friendly service each time. The only downside of Soha is the size of the place, so if you go during peak dinner hours you may have a long wait especially if you have a large group of people. This place is quite comparable to to Seoulju, but I do like the variety of this menu overall a take bit more at Soha than Seoulju.
google avatar

Chelsea L.

Yelp
Everything is delicious! Really love the cheese corn. The sweetness is so yummy . Can't go wrong with the classic kimchi fried rice and galbi. The kimchi fried rice comes with egg and cheese and I love how the cheese bubbles as the dish comes out. SOHA has great portions for sharing. They open late and it's a great location to come to after singing karaoke or hanging out with friends!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a hole in the wall Korean restaurant in North Austin that's perfect for dinner or late night snacks&drinks. Plenty of parking in the private lot. The restaurant is cozy and lively, around 15 tables depends on arrangement, with K-pop playing in the background. We ordered the seafood pancake (4.5/5), fried chicken (4/5) and bulgogi (3/5). Our servers were very polite and friendly, but service was slightly slow given how busy they were. Overall a solid Korean spot to hang out.
google avatar

Rajaa G.

Yelp
Absolutely Loved this place!! first time I like Korean food because every time I had it was it was either too sour too spicy but this time every dish delighted us from the dumplings to the glass noodles . Impeccable service and such a fun K-pop music!!
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Bibimbop and K-pop! Stopped in for a quick rice bowl topped with crunchy bok choi, kimchi, slivered carrots with cabbage, and pea shoots. A beautiful sunny egg broken in with sweet-and-savory spicy pork blends all the flavors together - fresh, texturally complex, satisfying but never heavy. Great atmosphere hidden into Anderson when you want a healthy bite!
google avatar

Marsha C.

Yelp
Small Korean restaurant of Lamar and 183. Service is what you would expect from a small mom and pops Korean restaurant. Atmosphere is dark and pretty loud with Korean music playing. We had a large group by us that was extremely loud (not the restaurant's fault) but you might want to bring earplugs just in case (it was that loud). The seafood pancake was really crispy and tasty but a little greasy. It was my favorite thing. We also had the galbi which was good but could use a dash of salt to bring out the flavor. Skip the bulgogi, it was a little dry and underwhelming.
google avatar

Dylana D.

Yelp
Every time I come here I have the best time! Such a late night gem-- amazing food, great vibes, friendly staff, and good kpop music! One of my favorite spots in Austin. I always order the grilled pork belly with lettuce wraps and my boyfriend gets the kimchi fried rice with an egg. The food is consistent and never disappoints. Thank you as always SOHA!
google avatar

Amy F.

Yelp
Late night Korean bar in north Austin! Overall, food was solid, though definitely more for sharing than individual. Similar to other bars, it does have a lot of screens, to the point where it was kinda distracting if you're there catching up with friends, though that's fairly common at some Korean establishments.
google avatar

Tin N.

Yelp
Noce atmosphere, lively night, good food. Love the intestines combo disc with just right seasoning to eat by itself.
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
Food is always amazing here! Service is good but it can get busy and they don't take reservations so be sure to come early if you have a big party. They have a lot of different Korean food items that you'll usually find at restaurants and bars in Korea. Best Pocha style restaurant in Austin! Can't wait for their second location~
google avatar

Brian T.

Yelp
A great local joint in Austin for tasty Korean food! Had the bulgogi and the bibambap and both were really tasty and came in massive portions. The atmosphere is delightful and there were K-pop videos playing on the screens. I'd definitely return and recommend to anyone!
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
The best spot for a late night snack with friends! They don't take reservations so there's usually a bit of a wait but it's definitely worth it. SOHA reminds me of going to Ktown in LA - it's chaotic, fun, and delicious. I love the jjapaghetti and corn cheese here. The bulgogi and kimchi fried rice are really good too! Last call for drinks is midnight.
google avatar

Yelp
Whenever I'm in Austin and want Korean food, we go to SOHA Food (4.3/5):; I always get the soondubu (S9) and it's above average. I feel like something in it is missing, not exactly sure what it is , but back in Dallas, I love BCD Tofu's soondubu. The Seaweed pancake and corn cheese were both fantastic! Totally recommend! Service (5/5): Our server was very nice, offered us a bigger table, refilled our water, checked on us. Ambiance (4/5 The table they first sat us at was a table that perfectly fits a 2 top. However, we were a 3 top and it's hard to sit comfortably in a small table. The 3 of us ordered multiple things, so luckily the server offered a bigger table. It's a Korean pocha bar night restaurant, so it's loud and best for big parties. I hope the tables can expand in the further future.
google avatar

Cam H.

Yelp
One of the best Korean restaurants I have tried in Austin so far. I like their fried chicken, wish it was bone-in though, but flavoring was perfect. The spicy gopchang was good too. Most of their food/flavoring is a bit on the sweeter end, but I like that. My only complaint is the music was very loud. Hard to have a conversation here, I literally had to shout at my friends lol it's a very fun and chill vibe inside though. Great service, staff was so sweet.
google avatar

April J.

Yelp
I'm upset I barely found this place. Tried it for the first time last month and came back soon, and it was just as good. -Kimchi Fried Rice was delightful with all the layered flavors you could want. -Beef Short Ribs Golbi was phenomenal. - corn cheese hits the spot for a fun snack - Japanese style udon noodles with fish cake was bomb. Noodles have the best texture. It's kinda loud in there when it's busy, but fun. Service is really great and attentive!
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Greatest Korean food in Austin! Love the chicken feet. Only thing is sometimes serving is not that speedy

J C.

Yelp
This korean place is super close to me, but I've never gone out of my way to check it out. I went with a medium sized group, and while I thought it was tasty, the prices are quite high. Overall, a chill place to grab dinner before karaoke next door, but beware a soju bottle I believe was around $11.
google avatar

Stefanie D.

Yelp
I eat Korean food a lot, and I can't believe it took me so long to get to Soha house! So happy to have discovered a place in Austin proper. There was 6 of us- we ordered the spicy ramen, bibimbap, kimchi fried rice, cheese corn, and bulgogi. Everything was so good and I felt the portions were generous. I really loved the spicy ramen with cheese and the kimchi fried rice. They have a pretty extensive menu of Korean dishes, including shared soups, fried chicken, classic street food etc. They do serve alcohol, and even though it KILLS me to pay $15 for a bottle of soju, at least they had Jinro. It's a really casual, laid back, unassuming place and they play kpop videos!! Can't wait to try more of the menu!
google avatar

Britney T.

Yelp
As a college student, SOHA is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in Austin! It's open until 2:00 am and the Korean bar food is a perfect complement to any late night activities that young people might get up to... Although it's a small restaurant, I think SOHA is the perfect place to take a group of 4-6 friends because the dishes are so sharable. Whenever I go, I ALWAYS have to order the corn cheese, kimchi fried rice (topped with a fried egg and cheese!), and tteokbokki (rice cakes in a spicy sauce). Their sweet soy glazed fried chicken and galbi (beef short ribs) are also really good (but on the pricier side).

Yelp
Spark ripped master code of a flat that's just now revealed hornets nest of floor, while we do recognize buda jigae clamp down we persist . I smeared down the soju i clamped down the beer oh my my made somaek in my gullet For the last time I revealed my own flasmic imfifference . Get the somaek they don't realize you're already a bit drunk so just keep go. Keep order drink the somaek soju beer and then just keep drinking. The floor will spin the smells will intoxicate just keep drink as long as they see the whites of your eye you will be SERVED. It's a great time they don't cut you off. Do not reveal your drunken class you need to just keep drink . Yelp
Just the best. This hole-in-the-wall restaurant is open late and has impeccable atmosphere. I feel like I don't even need to write a description of the Kimchi Fried Rice because frankly the picture I've attached speaks for itself. Yes, that is piping hot cheese that you can spoon over the rice for an absolutely decadent fusion experience. Prices are a little on the high end, but not as compared to Korean food generally in Austin and in a fair way IMO given the extended operating hours. Check it out, but save me and my friends a table, OK?

Yelp
Very. Very. Very loud. You can't even hear yourself talking or thinking. Food's just fine. But if you like food mixed with a loud place, please come!

Yelp
SOHA is so delicious! There are so many good options to get and I find myself getting something different each time. I got spam rice with mayo. It was something so simple yet it went well together. Their portions are huge as well. Enough to share with 2-3 people. I came to celebrate a friend's birthday and they gave us a birthday freebie! They are always so busy so I recommend getting there early to get a table especially if you have a huge party. My favorites are the pork belly, army soup, and corn cheese!

Yelp
Soha is a Korean restaurant that is hip and a great place to eat, drink, and party type of setting. The music is turned up playing K-pop along with music videos on the TV. The staff is super nice and service is good. The inside of the restaurant is very dark and dim lighted with patio string lights inside. It was an interesting place to go to to have soju and eat but not a place if you are wanting a quiet quant dining experience. First time to Soha and we order ordered R1. (Bibimbob) Rice & Assorted Vegetable, R3. Fried kimchi Rice with Fried Egg and Cheese, & G2. (Makchangmodeum) Combination Intestines and Entrails. We loved the R1. with the freshness of the veggies and the sweet and mild spicy sauce. R3 came out sizzle hot and the cheese was melted! I have to be honest I was skeptical of the melted cheese with the kimchi fried rice but after trying it... I get it! It was salt, sour, and the goowey sun side up egg was so good! I wish there was more Kim chi in the Kim chi fried rice but it was still good. I love that they put shredded nori on top of the Kim chi fried rice! It brought that Unami flavor and tied everything together. Love this dish and recommend it! G2 I love love love the small and big intestines! I've always been a fan of intestines and love that this dish served with herbs, garlic, jalepinos, and the sauce and sesame oil. It was such a delight and I wish I had soju with it! It was my first time trying makchangmodeum and I have been waiting to try it for a while! I was not a fan of the entrails how ever because it was super chewy and hard to eat. I think in the future I will only order the intestines. It was a great experience to try these Korean dishes for the first time! I loved it and definitely think if you are in a "party" mood of a K-pop club dining experience this place is definitely for you. It's a small restaurant with limited table inside. We came there at 5:30pm and the restaurant was completely full but 6:30pm when we left. Would I recommend this place yes! I deducted 1 star because it was so loud i couldn't hear my self talk with the music and ppl closely sitting near by talking loudly. Personally I prefer a quieter setting but the food was good and staff was great. :)
