"Chef and cookbook author Deborah Schneider has devoted much of her career to exploring the cuisine of the Baja California peninsula, abundant in seafood and laced with Mediterranean influences from up the coast. If the Cherry Creek outpost of SOL Mexican Cocina is rather posh by the standards of Taco Tuesday habitués, they can rest assured that that’s not out of keeping with the dining scene in the region itself as they dig into shellfish dishes galore and Ensenada-style taco platters — washed down with wine from the Valle de Guadalupe." - Ruth Tobias

Perfect date night spot! Definitely make a reservation - it filled up super fast. And people were being turned away even when we ate around 5 because of our tickets to shows that night. The service is wonderful, and the restaurant itself is lovely. We loved looking at the art they had on the walls The menu is very gluten allergy friendly. I could barely nail down my order, so I really need to go back and try other dishes. I landed on tacos a la cart so I could try a few of their interesting combinations. Drinks were fabulous, we’re hoping to go back at happy hour to be able to try a few more. Highly recommend this spot!

Some of the best Mexican food, tacos, drinks and desserts. Period. All the food items we ordered tasted wonderful. Yes, food items and drinks are a bit on the pricier side but it's worth the taste and flavors. Only thing I can complain about is there service. It's very slow to get your food. We had to wait 30 mins after we ordered to get our appetizer order and then another 45 mins to get our main course and dessert. I understand it was a valentine's day night we went for. But still it's something they would have already accounted for when they already had reservation system. Definitely will recommend to try their speciality tacos, especially taco vampiro

Wow, the food was just absolutely horrible here. The margarita was incredible. The chips were incredible. And the sauce was incredible. I highly recommend many many many other Mexican restaurants for a third of the price.

The margarita was good. It’s very nice place with a fire place and it’s in cherry creek which is cute with the Christmas lights right now. I also got the tortilla soup which slapped. Samara and Ana were my bartenders and were very attentive to my needs and were prompt and professional.

Sol is hands down one of the most delicious meals I have ever had! The flavors were amazing. If you love spicy, they offer extremely spicy hot sauce as well as milder offers. I enjoyed the quinoa rice just as much as my entree. I highly recommend getting a margarita as well. Can't wait to come back in Denver. The grilled sweet corn is to die for.

If you want overpriced Mexican food that just looks aesthetically pleasing, this is the place for you. Paid almost $20 for ceviche when it was mostly tomato & the same for shrimp taquitos that was all cheese. They also charge $4 for every drink - like y’all could’ve at least given a free refill when the soda is practically flat. The server was nice but I will not be coming again, nor the 10 people in my party. I wish they would’ve put in as much effort in their food as they did on their atmosphere.

We had an amazing experience at Sol! The food was absolutely delicious. We got a chili relleno and the large tacos. The service was NEXT LEVEL great… even though the restaurant was very busy, our waiter Filip and the Asst. Manager, Andre, were so attentive and friendly. The food was great, but the service made this absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to return.

Came on a Sunday afternoon and had a delicious meal! We also had beautiful (and soft) live music, all the windows open and great service. When you come, you MUST get the goat cheese appetizer. Sweet and slightly spicy and all yummy. We also did the grilled sweet corn, cooked on the cob and cut table side. The short rib barbacoa with sweet potato, rice and beans was perfect to split (since we had to try everything else too!) and the meat was tender. We didn’t get drinks but saw a few come out that looked good. They bring out chips and salsa and a bean dip too. Can’t wait to come back!
