"A 32-seat restaurant on the Dingle Peninsula offering Irish seafood with European accents, such as breaded croquettes filled with chowder." - Taras Grescoe

"With its attention-grabbing red exterior, Solas manages to catch the eye even in the brightly-painted streets of Dingle. Inside, Irish produce meets Spanish tapas thanks to chef-owner Nicky Foley’s travels in Spain. He manages to keep the range of dishes true to the Spanish originals, whilst incorporating local ingredients and adding a few subtle twists. There’s a pleasing simplicity here, which combines well with the friendly, welcoming service." - Michelin Inspector

I've been here a number of times now (including twice in the one weekend because it's so good) and it always hits the mark. The service is very friendly and efficient and the food is out of this world! Highly recommend the pork belly, the croquettes, and the fig tempura. The ceviche is also excellent. Already planning my return.

I think this was the best food I've had in Ireland. They had great vegetarian options, and apparently some vegan too. I had the fig dish and it was heavenly! I also really liked the lettuce gem dish because I'd never tasted anything like it! If you can't get reservations then you can just take the outside seats.

Google
Fabulous dinner out, the food was very, very good the only downside was we came quite hungry and they truly are tapas so it was all quite small portions! Not a criticism just come prepared to order many dishes if you come with a big appetite. Can’t fault it otherwise!

Google
Best restaurant we’ve eaten at in a long time. Restaurant is on the smaller side, but the service is excellent. Prompt and attentive. Energetic ambience. The food was incredible. Everything we had was bursting with flavour. It was so good, we booked another evening there. Would highly recommend.

Great spot in Dingle! We loved most of the dishes, a couple didn’t hit the mark for us. Would highly recommend the cheese board and the Mackerel tarts!

Yelp
Hands down some of the best food I've ever eaten. Everything was cooked perfectly and we could not stop eating. The lamb chops topped with sheep cheese was one of the best creations ever. Service and vibe were spot on too

Yelp
Great little tapas place in Dingle. The restaurant is very cute with not a ton of tables. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. The cheese board and sourdough tomato salad were delicious! They had a good wine list as well. I'd recommend this as a cool stop to eat in Dingle.

Yelp
Some of the best food I've had in Dingle. Delicious, fresh, and gorgeously plated. Staff courteous and professional. Place has a nice vibe to it. Make sure you have a reservation. Can't recommend this place more. Very good.

Yelp
What a nice little find in this quaint little town. Decent tapas in the Irish countryside? We'll take it. We stopped in here for dinner without reservations. Grabbed one of the two tables out front on the street. The space inside is small and cozy but we like watching the world go by. It's on a little back street so the views are quaint and it's fairly quiet. The food here is tasty, especially compared to the standard Irish pub fare that you're probably eating as you travel across this beautiful country. A nice break from brown stew and burgers. We enjoyed an array of tasty tapas served up with some quality wine. The service was friendly and prompt, and they helped my vegetarian wife navigate the menu to find plenty of great offerings. As with most tapas places, be prepared to spend more than you would on your usual one-entree-per-person. But it's totally worth it here for the flavor and quality of food. Yum!

Yelp
Delicious! A hidden gem and a refreshing twist from traditional Irish cuisine in Dingle. So happy we stopped in. Everything was bursting with flavor! It's a tapas bar so order at least three things from the menu, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
One of our favorite meals in Ireland actually, from a tapas place in Dingle! The restaurant was small and charming, service was friendly, and the food was delicious. The tomato confit on charred sourdough was a great choice to provide a break from the richness of everything else that we choose. The confit was served cool, but the bread was warm and perfectly toasted, and the combination was lovely. The maharaees spuds with mushrooms were perfectly cooked; a touch crispy on the outside but soft inside, and the spices were noticeable but not overwhelming (paprika and garlic seemed to be in the mix, but not too strongly). We also got a very nice crispy duck make-your-own bao with slaw and sauce that was great. The duck managed to be a touch crispy but without being dry, and the ratio of bun, duck, slaw, and sauce was perfect. The only thing that wasn't really what we were looking for was dessert, but that was us mis-reading the menu; Farranfor Strawberry and Prosecco Sorbet was Strawberry-Prosecco sorbet, not strawberries with some prosecco sorbet. The strawberry-prosecco sorbet was delicious though!

Yelp
We were lucky to have dinner at Solas Tapas. The food was incredibly delicious and well balanced. The chef was very friendly and humbly talented. What takes Solas beyond 5 stars is the service. Our waitress was very informative of wine and the menu. Most importantly, she was really kind to us and to our daughters. We had a wonderful time from start to finish. Thank you very much for a memorable evening.

Yelp
Wow what a nice find. We didn't want a large amount of food. Perfect portions and wine. What could be better?

Yelp
We stumbled upon Solas while touring Dingle peninsula and couldn't have been happier. The food is amazing. Everything we ate was incredible - we were quite full and still ordered more to try other items from the menu. The staff was friendly and welcoming as well. You will not be disappointed!
