"There’s no better place on the island than Solemar to scarf down ceviche tacos and a couple of crab cakes. They call themselves a Mediterranean restaurant, but they excel at all types of seafood, including sushi. Their house roll topped with battered Bahamian lobster can easily feed three people and is the perfect combination of crunchy and sweet. The sun-soaked patio is great for some romantic drinking and snacks, where you can sit on a cushy couch and make your way through a seafood tower.  " - ashleigh sean rolle

Update we came here for dinner and it was absolutely beautiful. We sat at a high table in the window right above the ocean. The food was absolutely fantastic and incredible. The service was beyond excellent the only problem is there are people smoking cigars in the dining room. If people smoking 5 feet away from where you are eating is a problem go somewhere else. We chose this restaurant because it was situated right on the waterfront, far from the unpleasant exhaust and traffic of downtown. It had a very good rating and an intriguing menu. That’s just the beginning. To start, parking is conveniently located across the street and is free. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, and the service is top-notch—friendly, attentive, and impeccable. But the real star of the show is the food. The chef is truly remarkable, imaginative, and skilled in creating delicious dishes that are perfectly combined with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The food is served hot and bursting with bold, out-of-this-world flavors. There are so many wonderful choices. Happy hour offers some incredible small tapas meals at very reasonable prices. We couldn’t resist ordering multiple dishes and were blown away by everything we tasted. The views are simply stunning, and the air is clean and beautiful. We had an amazing time and will definitely be returning for more.

Lovely atmosphere right on the water with the waves crashing. The service was good from who seemed to be the manager. However, the other waiters didn't seem to have too much knowledge about the menu. Also, there sushi wasn't anything fantastic, and I'd avoid it, but the other dishes were great. They are expensive, and so I feel like you'd get the same quality for less elsewhere.

4 stars due to the atmosphere The food and service were fantastic !! Phillip was awesome and the dishes impressed in both display and flavor. The atmosphere was very trendy, large hosting space, but it was SO loud. I couldn’t hear our waiter Phillip standing 1 foot away from me 😭 Very diverse and impressive menu for being on an island ! Most diverse menu i’ve seen in Nassau so far. Recommend the crab cakes, the tiger prawns, the sushi rolls and the teriyaki salmon !!

Came here for Christmas late lunch at happy hour. The atmosphere is amazing and the winds were cool on this day. The drinks and food came at a good time and most of them were great, some just good. One of the servers however, was quite rough and just pushed incoming plates with other plates instead of fixing the table properly. A little unprofessional, but our server “Lovely” was great. I recommend the Lobster Mac n Cheese, Fish Tacos and Grilled Octopus!

The service, drink, food, and atmosphere were great! We had a big group (9) and didn't have to wait long for anything. The dishes were all well liked - the ceviche tacos were a huge hit. And of course you can't beat the sunset view. We will go back next year.

My number 1 favorite restaurant in all of Nassau. Truly incredible outdoor seating, with breathtaking views of the ocean and a front row seat to sunsets. Food is absolutely amazing. Staff is the best. They have a great selection of cigars and smoking in the outdoor space is allowed. Overall, my favorite!

This was the best choice I made for dining in Nassau. The view was spectacular. We arrived before the sky began to turn pink. It is right on the water and they have many spots for incredible pictures. The food was the best food we had on the island. The ceviche tacos were so good we had to order more. I had the lobster pasta. It was spectacular. My husband has the fried fish. He said it was excellent. He grew up on a coastline, and is very picky about his seafood. We had a few good drinks and shared some desserts. The service was great. Our server was patient with us and took care of our party of 8.
