Yelp
I loved going to the Menlo Park location but since it's been closed I went to this one. I made a reservation so my friends and I got seated once we got there. I usually get the matcha latte and it's good but this time when I ordered, it wasn't as sweet / seemed to be missing something. I ordered the bibimap, and the regular French toast which I thought was okay. I felt like it lacked flavor. Not sure if I'll be back. Parking is hard as you have to do street parking or park in the garage. Good thing we got lucky. The service: everyone was kind

Yelp
Restaurant and food is very picture worthy! The girls and I made reservations for a Saturday brunch and it was pretty packed. They have a photo wall so a lot of people were taking cute photos there. Everything about Son & Garden is very aesthetic and floral. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the food here which is why I only gave it 3 stars. Everything was just okay and nothing was particularly good. I was really looking forward to the matcha pancakes but tasted undercook. Fried chicken benedict was very standard. I probably will not go back for brunch but may consider checking it out again for their afternoon tea set.

Yelp
The food at Son & Garden isn't bad, but it definitely isn't worth the price. We got the country Benedict and deep fried French toast. The cotton candy and flower were pretty decorations on the toast! Inside the restaurant it's extremely noisy and it's hard to get the attention of staff as they're so busy. The staff is very nice though. Maybe this place is more of a spot to take photos and enjoy the flowers than to actually eat good food. I would say it's fine to experience once but not that comfortable for regular brunch!

Yelp
Bookmarked this place on Yelp for a long time and finally got a chance to try it out! We came here on a Saturday around noon, and we got a table right away for 2 ppl. My first reaction was that this place is absolutely gorgeous, so beautifully decorated with lots of colorful flowers, making you feel great. I noticed many people dressed up nicely, and I think it's a perfect spot for a girl's hangout or a casual catch-up. The service was attentive and friendly, great job! The menu offers lots of options like omelets, sweet plates, burgers, egg benedicts, and more. *Frisco Scramble It was absolutely delicious! The scrambled eggs were generously covered with Monterey Jack. If you're a cheese lover, you're going to love this. Now, the scone OMG! This might be the best scone I've ever had. It's a blueberry and lavender scone, and I absolutely adore it. The flavor combination is perfect! I honestly wonder if it's possible to order half a dozen to go because it's that good. One detail I really appreciated was the rainbow potatoes. They used a mix of purple potatoes, sweet potatoes, and regular ones. The vibrant colors were so appetizing, and they were cooked to perfection. Lightly fried, and not overdone. The dish also came with avocado and fresh fruit - all incredibly fresh. I really appreciated that they didn't over-season anything. Everything tasted fresh and delicious in the most natural way. *Smoked Salmon Benedict I also tried some of the smoked salmon, and it tasted great too. The salmon wasn't overly salty and paired beautifully with the sourdough and the rest of the dish. *Latte The coffee was excellent, with a great bean selection, and it was served in a cute cup!

Yelp
As a mom of boys and thus the only girl in the family, I never thought I'd get to try this place. But the lure of bacon and fun brunch cocktails got my husband.^_^ THE GOOD {Bear Belly Bacon} thick cut bacon seasoned with a bit of tangy and a bit of spicy (super mild btw nothing for us) {Deep Fried French Toast} the crispy yet fluffy toast was great! The toppings looked pretty but make it soggy and overwhelming. I'm going to see if we can ask for it on the side next time. {Loco Moco} unique! I liked the sauce albeit a smidge salty. It had a slightly Asian spin on the flavor though which I thought was unique. THE OKAY Baby Bear had the {Triple Cheese Burger} (clearly he was hungry). He thought the wagyu patty was "okay" sort of dry even though he ordered it medium. He was also not a fan of the types of cheeses they used. Not something he'd order again he said. Overall, drinks - yes, bacon - yes! When we are feeling up for a fancy brunch, we'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Busy location but staff were friendly/fast! Gorgeous plating, I've a sweet tooth so really liked their brunch items especially the French toast. Made a reservation a few weeks ahead of time for a special occasion and our party was seated at the special table with the cute flowery backdrop (success!)

Yelp
The food is really good! I ordered the bibimbap and it came with a HUGE piece of fried chicken. I also tried my friend's Korean benedict and the rib was very soft and flavorful. However, the seating is just...awkward. We had the table all the way at the edge of the restaurant, and as the person sitting right against the wall, I had a really hard time getting in and out and had to eat sitting at a 45 degree angle. Also, my hair kept getting pulled by the fake flowers on the wall next to me. The ambiance is very flowery and cutesy and the waiters have stylish, impractical aprons. I saw some people having a very dressy brunch, but we felt fine in our sweaty pickleball gear as well. We walked in without a reservation, but I'd recommend making one if you can.

Yelp
Came here to catch up with a friend on a weekend. I made a reservation, but my friend was a little late. They were very accommodating at sat us once she arrived. You have your choice of outside and inside seating. Our server was very nice and helped us choose what we would order. Cloud 9: 3/5. Fun presentation! Has a light floral flavor with a little sweetness from the cotton candy. My little ruby bird: 3.5/5. Again, very fun presentation. Korean benedict: 4.5/5. I would 1000% get this again. Short rib Benedict is always a good idea in my opinion but the start was somehow the kimchi rice. I'm not a rice lover and I don't even like kimchi but together it was amazing. My only complaint was wanting the potatoes crispier. This place definitely puts a lot into presentation and experience. The whole place is decorated to transport you. Very enjoyable and there's a little photo area if you like those. Definitely a nice spot!

Yelp
Finally made my way here after having it bookmarked on my list forever, and it did not disappoint! Came in shortly after opening on a weekday and was seated right away. Service was warm and welcoming, and they even brought my baby a cute little toy shell for her. It was a small token but it spoke volumes and was so appreciated. The food was 10/10! I ordered the Korean Benedict with the huge bone-in short rib. It fell right off the bone and was so tasty. Eggs were cooked to perfection and the potatoes were crispy and well-seasoned. Washed it down with a coconut latte which was subtle and sweet and came in a cute bear cup. I will be back to try the rest of the menu and experience their tea set!

Yelp
When you go to a restaurant that is ALL about the ambience & presentation of the food the majority of the time, the food lacks flavor. However, I can say this! The food was absolutely delicious! I was extremely surprised & thrown off BIG TIME. I tried everyone is my parties entrees & enjoyed them all with great customer service.

Yelp
If aesthetics and florals are your jam, Son & Garden has the perfect ambiance for you. There are definitely 'gram-worthy walls and decor, and they have a photo station set up in the front of the restaurant, ring light and all! However, I felt like the place felt cramped. It's already a small space to begin with, but it felt like they tried to fit in as many tables as they could. Wherever you're sitting, you're definitely going to be unintentionally eavesdropping on the table next to you. And if you're the lucky table next to the photo station, good luck with all of the people who will be gathering there for their photo shoots. They do also have tables set up that seem a little better spaced out, but then you lose a lot of the aesthetic vibes that are inside. We made a reservation for brunch on a weekend. It was packed with people both inside and out, and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes before we were able to finally be seated. With a hangry toddler in tow, 30 extra minutes of waiting seemed like forever (and also, what is the point of a reservation, then?) In terms of food and drinks, the drinks steal the show in terms of presentation. We didn't order too many alcoholic drinks, but looking around at other tables, it was pretty cool to see the different ways they were being served. The food, while tasty, also seemed overpriced to us. Dishes are $20+, with the lower end being griddle items. If you're looking for more substantial brunchfare, you're looking at closer to $30 per dish. Overall, I think I had higher hopes for Son & Garden after hearing and seeing amazing things from their other locations. This one left a bit to be desired.

Yelp
One of very few highly rated brunch places in the South bay allowing weekend reservations! With a reservation, our party of 3 was promptly seated for Sunday brunch at 11:30. The place is very pink, floral, and pretty (I might even go further to say that it is very feminine). The place is not too big so the tables are a bit crowded but the employees were very friendly. We ordered the deep fried french toast (yum!), Fried Chicken Benedict, and the Son and Garden omelet. The french toast and the benedict were great but I thought the namesake omelet was meh. Nice to visit by at least once! Was pretty packed when we were here :)

Yelp
This place is adorned with cuteness! Definitely see why it's always on IG! Plenty of tables to sit and have patio seating as well. There could be a wait during the weekends. Everything we had were delicious! French toast - perfection Chicken and waffles - nice and crunchy Son & garden omelette- tasty Took my friend here for her bday as it's always fun to celebrate it here. I suggest you do the same! Beautiful place to take pics with friends. They made it instagram wortTheir cocktails are decorated like no other!

Yelp
Initially, I was skeptical of Son & Garden because of all the hype, because of the crowds and the prices - but I'm happy to say it's worth it. I've been back to S&G multiple times, and every time is a treat. The staff are incredibly warm and attentive, even during a busy brunch rush. We always enjoy sitting in their covered patio and enjoying the whimsical decor. And reserving a table ahead of time makes everything much more convenient - although allow time to find parking as it fills up. Sometimes it's the little touches like the latte served in an upside-down bear face. Others it's just about the food, and the food is great. I've tried their omelettes, benedicts and a few of the chefs specials. The flavor is fantastic, and we always leave with leftovers. For me, it's the ultimate special brunch out meets comfort food. Can't wait til the next time we go.

Yelp
Ambiance: Cute and fancy decorations. Definitely a girly's go-to spot for brunch. Food: the portion is very sufficient and the seasoning is very nice. They have many signature decorated drinks that you can order to get some pretty pictures. The Hawaii scramble I ordered is very delicious but the portion is a bit big for me with potatoes and a sweet scone. Service: the staff is very nice and helped us with arranging the time and table.

Yelp
Food: Farmhouse Sandwich with fries: 4/5 The garlicky seasoning in the fries aren't consistent with every fry but the texture is. The fries are crispy and are perfectly cooked! The farmhouse sandwich feels like an elevated grilled cheese! Great cheese pull with a prominent mushroom taste. The quinoa in the sandwich adds a fun texture and while you can't really taste the asparagus, the asparagus also add a fun textural difference. The pickled vegetables on the side keep the sandwich from feeling too rich so I'd highly recommend balancing your bites between the sandwich and the pickles. Birthday Dessert: Automatic 5/5 rating. This is complimentary if you let the staff know it's your birthday and free treats should always be appreciated. The pink cotton candy cloud, the white chocolate pearl and overall plating is charming! Taste wise, nothing stands out and you get what you see... but the visuals alone make the dessert feel special. It's a lovely light dessert to have after a filling meal! Service: Friendly and quick! Whenever there's a birthday, the staff muster their energy, bring out a tambourine and celebrate with you with a song! I was surprised at how energetic they were with each birthday song because while I was there, there were 6 birthdays all happening one right after another in one hour. Ambiance: Instagramable! The decor is very maximalist which means there's something to see in every square foot of the restaurant! This is the place to have tea parties, birthday parties, etc. Any kind of small celebration or event that needs a gorgeous setting, this place would be great for that.

Yelp
I've been wanting to hit this location up for a while and ended up going two times in one week. All of their food and drinks are delicious. Service is always great and well the ambiance is out of this world gorgeous as you can see from all the pictures others have posted. Here are all the items my friends and I tried: Matcha latte: both hot and cold are great but they are served differently. I prefer th cold. Farmers omelette: delicious and filled with vegetables. I love their crispy rainbow potatoes. Mochi pancakes: soooo I think it's because we let it sit but by the time it was cold it was not good. I've had it before fresh at their SF location and it was delicious. Mocktails: gorgeous and delicious though pricey. Portobello Benedict: served on thick slabs of tofu. Very big portions. Make a reservation in the weekend but the weekdays we went were not busy.

Yelp
I came here on a weekday brunch with a girlfriend who highly recommended this place. At Son & Garden, you can make online reservations but they also accept walk-ins. We came at around 1pm on a Thursday and at that time, there were still a few open tables. Parking is not too bad. There are a few parking garages and public parking lots nearby. Street parking is also available but can be hard to come by. Ambiance (5/5): Although small, the inside decor is stunning. There are colorful pastel flowers decked out everywhere and near the door is a cute area where you can take pictures. It's a good place to go for brunch with friends or even cute birthday celebrations. Service (5/5): The servers were nice and always attentive. They refilled water cups when needed and made sure everything was to our liking. Food (4/5): The foods overall while aesthetic were average. The Hawaii' scramble and the crabby omelet were good but at a higher price point, I wished there was a bit more added to the dish. What really surprised me was the drink! Son & Garden has a cute menu of drinks that you can order with or without alcohol. I ordered Into the Forest and loved that not only was it cute, but it tasted tangy and refreshing. For me, the drinks are worth a try!

Yelp
Uniqueness: High end "tea service" experience here, with a slight Korean twist in some dishes. Wait Time: [x][x][x][x][x] Food Quality: [x][x][x][x][x] Service: [x][x][x][x][x] Setting: [x][x][x][x][x] Cost: [x][x][x][x][x] Recommendation? Well worth the visit for breakfast/brunch. Eating inside requires very early reservations but outside will do just fine! Get any of the Benedicts for starters! Came here for a nice brunch in the autumn and was slightly bummed to not be able to eat inside but luckily the weather wasn't too cold for us to enjoy outdoors. But regardless of so, Son & Garden is definitely one of highly recommended places to go when it comes to breakfast! The dishes are served so beautifully here and price wise was about average to what you'd typically get for brunch nowadays (with inflation). The deep fried French toast was delectable and the inside was nearly custard like. The Fried Chicken Benedict was fried perfectly and the sides of potatoes they have are perfectly crisp and you don't even have to eat them with ketchup--they were delicious on their own! I got the smoked salmon Benedict which was just how I imagined with a typical smoked salmon Benedict but instead of an English muffin, it's on a piece of their special toast. The toast was a little bit on the harder side but was able to devour no problem. Service here was great and accommodating, especially with all the other people who reserved early for the morning tea service. Regardless of eating inside or out, come here for probably one of the best breakfast in the University Ave portion of Palo Alto. You will not regret visiting Son & Garden and you'll definitely be back for more.

Yelp
This place is the most aesthetically pleasing brunch spot in town! The interior is so floral and colorful, the plates and cups are antique, and the food and drinks are surprisingly yummy! We had a reservation and shad to wait about 15 minutes for our table to be ready, but the wait was well worth it! Food: 9/10 Drinks: 10/10 Ambience: 10/10 Service: 8/10 Vegan-friendly: 7/10

Yelp
9/28/24- One of my favorite brunch locations of all time! Never a bad experience when I've come, especially if you love floral aesthetics and Instagram-worthy photos. // Deep Fried French Toast Highly recommend! This is favorite dish at S&G. The inside is fluffy and creamy with the vanilla mascarpone and the exterior is perfectly crisp and buttery. The dish comes out warm and is such a delightful way to start the morning, especially if you like something sweet. There's berry compote and fruits pair well with the cream and golden fluffy goodness. // Crabby Omelet Love the Dungeness crab meat with sun dried tomatoes, celery, spinach, capers, and scallions. The crab compliments the fluffy eggs by giving such a deep umami flavor with every bite. When paired with the pico/salsa on the side, it's very refreshing and tangy! A great combo- I do wish they gave more salsa. The potatoes on the side were also perfectly crisp, hot, and well seasoned. // Ambiance and experience I've had great experiences at both the Palo Alto and Menlo Park location. The interior is lovely and full of pink/purple florals. Service was fast and friendly. At the side of the restaurant, there is a beautiful floral wall with a neon 'Hello Gorgeous' sign for photos. I do recommend making reservations in advance because wait times can be up to an hour or more at peak hours. // Price and value For the decor, food quality, and fast service, prices are worth it to me although it is a pricier brunch location. The food has never disappointed me yet and I'm always excited to come back! // Parking This location is in downtown Palo Alto. Parking can be tricky with the bustling area but there are various garages, lots, and street parking around. Thanks for another great dining experience, S&G! Looking forward to my next visit here already.

Yelp
First time at this location, second time to a Son & Garden restaurant. Pros- location in Palo Alto was much, much better than the SF location! Was able to walk around without seeing needles, etc., on the ground! The fries and aioli were just as good as we remembered, we asked for two additional sides of the aioli for the regular fries and home fries (breakfast potatoes). Had a tasty blueberry scone with the crab omelette, my favorite bite outside of the fries and aioli. Additional pros- still cute interior (I do wonder how they keep all the fake flowers clean though, since they're literally above your head (and plates of food!) This place definitely banks on Yelp and Instagram worthy pictures... they put a lot of effort into great details in plating at both locations. Cons- the service, actual table service has been ok at both locations. I had amazing service over the phone with the SF location - helping move a reservation, but I remember not being overly impressed with the table service in SF, and the same would hold true for Palo Alto. I get that they don't like alterations of their dishes, but my mom ordered the fried chicken biminbob dish with kim chee fried rice which she found was too spicy for her. Our waiter at first said no when I asked for side a plain white rice (it's not a side), he also said no when we asked for an additional teabag since the tea wasn't strong enough for my mom or aunt... he eventually gave both to us (after talking to the manager), but for the price and on reasonable requests, I would expect a little give. So yeah, I'm still not a fan of their service, which I think could use improvement and for me, pulls their rating down. If you do go, here were our Favorite Bites... Mom- fried chicken Aunt- fried chicken Son- fries and aioli Me- blueberry scone I don't think I'd choose personally to come back, unless I went with a group of girlfriends who wanted to come here for a ladies get together. Although, I'd likely talk them into going to a different place!

Yelp
Highly recommend this for a fun brunch spot, extra fun for a girls morning out or a baby/bridal shower brunch spot. Came with my sisters to celebrate an upcoming baby and it was the perfect ambiance! The brunch was delicious and had some well done, delicious creations. The deep fried friend toast with the mascarpone cheese and creme filling was my very favorite. Absolutely delicious! The ricotta pancakes were also decadent and yummy. The son & garden omelet was a great savory dish. We also tried the virgin cotton candy lemonade and it was fun to try, but just okay. Very small, taste wasn't anything special. More for the insta pic and kinda pricey. Definitely recommend getting a reservation, even if you are a small group. We got one for just 3 of us a week out and it was completely full with only outdoor seating available (on a rainy day) the day of. Enjoy!
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
I felt like this place was very overpriced for what you get. You can expect to pay like $25-$40+ per person for mediocre brunch. I tried the ricotta pancakes and felt like they were just fine. I didn't feel like the sauce was anything to write home about. I felt like this dish was pricey at $18 and you don't get any sides (besides some fruit) or more importantly, any protein. If you add on eggs and/or bacon or sausage it's like another $10+ so you're looking at like $30+ for a full breakfast. Actually they do have a full breakfast set on the menu (two eggs, choice of griddle item, choice of meat) and it was indeed around $30 without tax or tip! My friend got the bibimbap but noticed that the majority of it was the fried chicken piece (which he wasn't super enthusiastic about). The acoustics in this restaurant were also pretty bad. I felt like I could barely here what anyone was saying even though we were at a rather small table. The ambiance was filled to the brim with flowers and teapots which may or may not be your jam. I think because this location is smaller than the one in Menlo Park, it just felt a bit cluttered.

Yelp
Very whimsical and fun atmosphere Service is great and reservation is Amish to avoid long wait and if you want to sit inside enjoying the fun decor Food is great love the pandora pancake not too sweet but very fluffy The portions are great and the drinks are fun and delicious

Yelp
We booked a 9:15 slot through Yelp. Wanted a table for 5 but was only able to reserve a table for 4, which was weird. Luckily, there was a section for comments to specify our exact odd number. For a quiet, chilly and drizzly Saturday morning, street parking was full along Bryant St, so we had to pull up on the Hamilton Waverly Lot D (according to Google Maps) and trodded a short & wet walk to the cafe. I was surprised at how small this location was. There was covered and heated outside seating, but it was tight quarters inside. Definitely "instaworthy" decked with colorful faux flowers, an ultrawide screen and chandeliers. This dining area was truly artwork in today's social media culture punctuated by a photo corner with a selfie ring light for the inclined. This family certainly was. Oh yeah, the food and drinks. They were also pretty inside their equally charming plates and glassware. Refreshments: Drip Coffee, Latte, Cloud Nine and the seasonal Purr-Fect Potion which was a play on Alice in Wonderland's Cheshire Cat with edible feline print. Dishes: 1. Lobster Benedict. Live Maine lobster with shrimp, asparagus, capers & rainbow potatoes. 2. Bibimbap. Stone pot Japanese rice, fried chicken, fried egg, asparagus, bell pepper, spinach & kimchi 3. Belly Ranchero. Slow-cooked pork belly, arugula, corn tortilla, red onion pickle, guacamole, salsa & rainbow potatoes 4. Fried Chicken Benedict. Boneless fried chicken, sauteed spinach, chive, shishito pepper & mushroom demi-glace 5. Deep Fried French Toast. Fried brioche stuffed with creamy mascarpone cheese, vanilla pastry cream & fresh fruit Coming in, my wife and I were thinking hype more than anything else fueled by the internet's influence. That inkling was canceled after I cleaned up my plate. Worth it, we'd say. Probably dressing appropriately than just tees and jeans coming back.

Yelp
Very aesthetic brunch spot in Palo Alto! I absolutely loved all the flowers and decor inside, even the plates and bathrooms were on theme with the restaurant's vibe and created an amazing ambiance. Service was very prompt and attentive. I got the bear belly egg plate, and the bear belly bacon was like millionaire's bacon I've had at other brunch spots. Potatoes were nice and crispy and my eggs came perfectly over easy. Would love to come back and try their tea sets!

Yelp
It's nice to have another Son & Garden location in the Peninsula! This is my go-to location as the one in Menlo is usually super packed and I've found it's much easier to get a reservation here. This is a great spot if you're looking for Asian Fusion brunch, fun drinks, and cute decor! I'm a big fan of savory brunches so I usually opt for one of the benedicts, but their matcha mochi pancakes and French toast are also delicious! Their lattes and cocktails are also super adorable and yummy. The space itself is a bit small and I always feel like we're running out of table space because of how much we order! Service is always friendly and efficient. Street parking is usually easy, depending on what time you come, but there's also parking lots further down the block.

Yelp
This has been on my bookmarked list for awhile and I'm so glad I got to try it. Definitely looked at reviews for both locations before making reservations for this one. The deterring factor : parking. Palo Alto had so many parking garages and free street parking. It's limited 2 hours from Monday to Friday. Make sure to reserve a table and skip the lines! Check in was easy and although we reserved for noon, we still had to wait a bit before being seated. They offer indoor and outdoor seatings. It feels a bit cramped inside but the decors are so pretty. Make sure to take some selfies while you wait. They have a whole selfie light and tripod set up for you! Food wise it did not disappoint. I got the Korean Benedict and the portion is huge. It was fall off the bone tender meat and paired so well with the fried rice. I think this alone would be great but it also had potatoes and the Benedict. A must try when you're here. The two mocktail options were Into the Forest and Cloud 9. I was a little shocked that they're still charged the same amount for a mocktail so that seemed a little off to me. They're both fun drinks and was refreshing. The thing I wasn't too excited was that they had marked us as a table of 6 and auto added our gratuity. I mean my friend is preggo but the baby doesn't count as 6th person does it? A little fluke and they didn't tell us the tip you select on the screen is an additional tip. We ended up tipping more. I would come back and try other dishes but not your daily brunch option as it is pricy.

Yelp
My family brought me here for birthday brunch recently and they absolutely adored this place. Even before walking in there is floral outside of the restaurant. They servers were very kind and say us right away (we had reservations, definitely suggest you make reservations) The menu is a QR code you scan from a sign on the table. We ordered orange juice, raspberry lemonade with cotton candy, into the forest, My Little Ruby Bird and I scream for ice cream. We ordered the Full Lobster Benedict, Fried chicken Benedict, matcha mochi pancakes, French toast and Mickey Mouse pancake. I will say the Lobster was divine but if I were to go back right this moment I would definitely choose between the Fried Chicken Benedict or the Matcha Mochi Pancakes. The Fried chicken is definitely crispy and flavorful. A definite must try. The Ruby Bird drink was just the cutest presentation and they were not stingy on the alcohol. I enjoyed the Ruby Bird more than the Into The Forest drink. My husband is a huge coffee nerd and said it was a very espresso forward drink and he would definitely get it again. I do think the Mickey Mouse pancakes were the least cutest in presentation but all in all my family thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the kids have already asked when will we go back. Definitely a must try place!

I celebrated my birthday with my family here for a Sunday brunch. Seating time is limited to 60min. The food came out quite fast. The only item that we would not recommend getting is the sausage patty. It was very hard and dry. Not tasty. But the fried French toast, California Benedict & omelette were amazing. Because it was my birthday, the server gave me a small piece of cotton candy w a macaroon. It was picture perfect. We arrived at 9:30 and by 10, it was a full house. Prices are considered decent in the Bay Area. Reserve time to find parking and reservations do require a credit card number so you can't change your plan last minute which I am a little concerned about if you are going with a larger group of friends. As the price is $25 fee for every person who don't show up. Servers were pretty friendly.

Yelp
Came here last week for a birthday and what an amazing time! First off, there are beautiful purple flowers that hang down from an awning outside, providing shade and cuteness! There is an outdoor seating area too which is really nice. It was a wonderful first impression! Stepping inside, it's almost as if you're transported into a deluxe afternoon tea experience. The walls are brightly decorated, the seats are cute and comfy, and there's even a dedicated flower wall spot to take pictures (selfie light and tripod included!). The pictures make it seem a bit bigger compared to real life as it can feel a little claustrophobic at times--perhaps it was because we were seated between the photo op area and the bathroom. Once we were seated and eating, we didn't really mind anything. Also, the bathroom is SO cute and clean! The staff were amazing too! They came out with a cute little cotton candy concoction for the birthday celebration, and I even got to play a tambourine haha!! Our waiter was very attentive despite how busy it was! The food is AMAZING. We ordered a bunch of stuff: loco moco Benedict, Korean Benedict, ricotta pancakes, matcha mochi pancakes, and burger. All DELISH. Plus, we had some drinks; the descriptions were so interesting, and we HAD to see what it looked like. Overall, I highly recommend this spot! It's so cute and you'd definitely have a good time!!

Yelp
Just dropped by for lunch and ordered chicken panini. Made to perfection. Very fresh and really delicious. The ambiance is awesome. A must visit. Service was quick and courteous.

Yelp
I enjoyed brunch here. We arrived at 11 on Sunday and got sat immediately in their outdoor patio area. I ordered the i scream for ice cream drink at the beginning, which was a mistake. I had to eat the ice cream before my meal, lol. The drink itself was also way too sweet for my liking, it is definitely a dessert drink. I ordered the belly ranchero with rainbow potatoes. It was good, but not amazing. I would pick something else next time. The fried chicken bibimbap was delicious! I would order this again. Service here was great; attentive and quick and there when we needed them. All in all, I would come back for the aesthetics and the beautifully crafted meals. Taste wise, I would pick a different place.

Yelp
We had no reservations so were seated outside after a brief less than 5 minute wait. There's an online menu accessible by QR code by the front door but only one us could access it for some reason. They do have physical menus but holiday specials like the S'mores latte (which we ordered) and the eggnog latte were only shown on that QR code menu. S'mores latte with double espresso was pretty strong in coffee flavor and very sweet. 1. Korean Benedict Kimchi fried rice was savory and came with a decent mix of vegetables throughout. I didn't expect the two poached eggs covered in hollandaise sauce to be so runny so I ended up losing most of the yolk to the plate after biting into it (but soaked some of it with the rice). The potatoes were crispy without tasting burnt and super savory as well, with a small amount of differently colored potatoes (like purple). The short rib was so tender it fell right off the bone! It had some kind of BBQ sauce all over it. 2. Ricotta pancakes as part of a "complete meal" with choice of eggs and bear belly bacon We ordered scrambled eggs but I think it mistakenly came as a beautifully made souffle omelette instead, which was better! The two slices of bear belly bacon were fairly thick and came with some kind of sweet barbecue-like sauce too, maybe Worcestershire. I didn't really taste the ricotta in the pancakes - mostly the vanilla pastry cream and blueberry compote slathered on top. My mom ordered the farmhouse melt sandwich (vegetarian) but I didn't really try it. She liked the strong garlic in the quinoa. She also usually doesn't like the texture of zucchini but it seems like this sandwich hid it well.

Yelp
The aesthetic is so cute the specialities were so delicious like the loco moco the deep fried French toast was really good as well great flavour profile the matcha pancake is very straight up matcha I wish it was more complex it was matcha tho in a since of straight up matcha bitter dry you definitely have to drown it in sauce The place is really nice meaning if you're going for brunch you should get there early it can get packed so they do try to get you out you can tell the waitress / waiters are looking for any sign if you're even close to done to run u your check so I would say the service is 3.5/5 in the rush get out of here quick etiquette but at the end of the day the company and food is great :)

Yelp
Made a brunch reservation for 12:30 on a Saturday. I went up to the host stand and so many employees walked by without even a single glance or acknowledgment. Not even a "we'll be right with you" or anything. It was kind of crazy. I've never felt so un welcome in somewhere that seems so cute and designed to attract customers! It was a really bizarre experience, honestly. We waited about 5 mins to get someone's attention and were finally seated. Service makes it clear they want you in and out, there's no water refills, no one asks if your food is ok or anything like that. I literally saw them ask a table of a group of girls still picking at their food to leave. With that said, the food was delicious! We got fried chicken benedict and ricotta pancakes and thoroughly enjoyed both! Overall, good food in a super cute atmosphere, but don't expect good service!

Yelp
Another beautiful breakfast and tea place on my list, with sumptuous breakfast and brunch food in a flowery environment. Visited here once in Spring and now during the Holiday season, one on a weekend and now on a weekday. Weekday is definitely a relaxing time. Reservation still highly recommended. Tried the Holiday Latte and it's a nice coffee treat with marshmallow and vanilla. It definitely adds a nice of contrast to my Salmon Benedict. The plate has the usual Benedict eggs with a good hollandaise sauce over good amount of salmon. Instead of muffins, they used a toasted bread. The potatoes on the side were nicely cooked, with a good crunch and mild seasoning. It was a satisfying meal and the girlie in me enjoyed eating surrounded by pink and purple flowery hue. They also have a corner for selfies with a standing ring light. Their holiday decorations are beautiful and cute as well. Service was fast. Food came out at a good pace. It's located in downtown Palo Alto so parking can be a challenge during busy hours.

Yelp
Newer addition right smack in the bustling University area of PA, overall def. a much more smaller/intimate location compared to the Menlo Park spot (aka Farmhouse Thai). This joint is super feminine and decked out in florals - def. a place for all the girls to brunch/lunch/din din/etc. which is what I did (girls catchup for 3). Personally, not really a floral or pink kinda girl so the décor def. made me cringe a bit (LOL) but totally get the vibes are a hit with the masses + the rest of my party loved it. Service was really quick and efficient, which we appreciated. It was super crowded (with a longer wait to be seated outdoors) but luckily we had reservations and were seated right away (inside). Def, a plus here is that they are one of the few places that take reservations for BRUNCH so HIGHLY recommend. Anyhooo - what it really came down to...was the FOOD, which was surprisingly so much better than the Menlo location and what really won me over. Menu is consistent with the other location and focus on Thai/Asian + New American fusion. Love their latte's, meh with their cocktails which always lean too sweet for me. Let's Dig In: (1) Coconut Cream Latte - got it lightly sweet and it was perfect - coconut flavor really came through. (2) Cloud 9 Cocktail - this was OK, a bit too sweet for my taste and didn't really care for the cotton candy. (3) Shrimp Salad - this was soooo good! The dressing was tasty and the shrimps were cooked perfectly + toast to make it an open face sandwich was a nice touch. Large portion so also great for sharing! (4) Salmon Benedict - this was OK, the eggs were poached perfectly and liked the sauce as well as bread, the salmon was just basic smoked salmon - wasn't anything unique to it and kinda wish it stood out a bit more with some Asian flavah. (5) Bear Belly Bacon Side - this was good but not the best I've had of its kind. Felt like it was missing something, like a bit of chili flakes, heat, or citrus too it. (6) Loco Moco - tasty!! Good quality meat that pounded very tender & a great gravy sauce overall! Would order again! (7) Fried Chicken Bibimbap - also really liked this! The fried chicken was well seasoned and super crispy, while the rice and egg slowly got crispy in the hot bowl ++ gochujang sauce for the perf amount of flavah.

Yelp
The aesthetic of the place is super cute and perfect for a brunch or girls day out. However, it is pretty small. The plates are big so size wise on the table didn't fit as well as we hoped for. The workers are nice. 4/5 for service and ambience. The food is pretty good but no wow factor. The presentation is pretty. I really enjoyed the loco loco, but wasn't a fan of the chicken and waffle or bibimbap. I would recommend to skip on the matcha pancake. It was so drying and bitter. 3/5 for food.

Yelp
Once u walked in, u fewl whimsical immediately. There are many IG spot. Menu is off the qr code and food is ok. We should've pre-ordered the tea set to make it a more elaborate experience. My friend had omlette and it was alright as well. Service was ok. Ambiance was nice. On a sunny day, it looks like it can be nice at their outdoor seating. Average $30/person with tax and tip. $40-45 with drinks. May return to try the afternoon tea but will probably skip for just a regular meal.

Yelp
Had the matcha mochi pancake and son & garden omelette. The pancake had slight matcha flavor and good amount of chewiness from the mochi. It was topped with mochi bits and fresh fruit. The omelette tasted good with the bits of cheese on top, but was lacking a bit of flavor if you ate it without the cheese. The omelette came with a blueberry scone, that had good texture and was just the right amount of moist. The interior decoration places heavy emphasis on flavors, so if you like the flower aesthetic for ambiance/pics, this would be a good place to go for that.

Yelp
Such a fun way to spend the afternoon! We did the Barbie themed afternoon tea set for a friends birthday and they did a beautiful job. The setting was so pretty and the little pastries and savory tea sandwiches were delicious. The portion was plenty, we all took home a box of yummy goodies for later as it's so much food! The $55 per person is worth it. We also added the $22 per person pink glittery bottomless Barbie mimosas and they were sweet and refreshing. Overall I'd definitely come back to try the other items on their menu. They are busy so try and make a reservation through OpenTable. The customer service was on point and extremely friendly!

Yelp
Yeah, this place lives up to the hype--not only is it cute and instagrammable af, but the food is bright and creative and the service team really does their best to lean into the whimsy. I ordered the fried chicken benedict and, despite how tasty it was, couldn't even finish it--very generous portions of chicken and potatoes. My boyfriend had the omelet and, although he agreed it was good, the cheese was rather thick and got cold pretty quickly. If you end up ordering this dish, make sure to eat it fast! The upside-down bear cups were too cute not to snag a pic of, and they had a selfie corner in the front window to take a picture with the overflowing wall of pastel flowers. Definitely the type of brunch place I'll remember going to for a long time. We arrived at 10am on a Friday and were the first to be seated, but by the time we left the entire restaurant was full with a line forming outside. I'd highly recommend arriving as early as possible to fully enjoy the cute, playful atmosphere.

Yelp
Son & Garden is a fantastic place to celebrate a special occasion. I'd recommend making a reservation, especially for a weekend brunch! I celebrated my birthday here with my group of 6, and we had an amazing time. The ambiance is bright and aesthetic, with lovely flower decorations everywhere with beautiful chandeliers! Luckily my group was able to get a seat in the corner in the flower wall, so it was perfect. The food was delicious as well. Son and garden does not compromise the quality of food and we tasted that in all six different dishes we tried. I got the portobello mushroom Benedict and it was delicious! I love the tricolor potatoes. Thank you Son and Garden for a memorable birthday!

Yelp
Love and Love the food, atmosphere and service. It's a great place for ladies to celebrate any occasions: from birthday, graduation and bridal shower... It's a lovely place to take memorable pictures
