Absolutely amazing! Pizza lover’s paradise. Having had more pizza in my life than I care to disclose, and having travelled through Italy, I feel I have a good level of context. I can honestly say this was the best Napolese pizza I’ve had in my life. It really was that good. OMG.

Always a great experience! Always feel like I'm in Naples. Growing up in Naples as a kid you really understand family and food. This place replicates some of the feelings I use to get in Italy when I was little. Grazie veramente Ciro! You do a great job. Song E Napule!!

Excellent. Beyond excellent. Had such a great time here. Giggino took care of us to the highest standard. We took all his recommendations and they impressed us 1000 times over. He truly made the experience what it was, we loved talking with him. Will definitely be back. Absolutely loved the gnocchi, marg pizza, and the spaghetti all nerano.

I ordered the COTTO E FUNGHI pizza; it was delicious!! One of the best pizza I have ever had, I really recommend this place. The atmosphere is pretty nice; a little corner of Naples in NYC !

This is a great spot to get dinner with friends. Lively atmosphere with great food and music. If it’s your birthday, they’ll dim down the lights and blast 50 Cent and makes it a very fun experience. The music was bumping all night ranging from nostalgic songs to some Italian clubbing music. They decorated the place as if it’s in Naples… meaning there is Maradonna everything in the restaurant. It can get quite loud if you are looking for a more lowkey dinner. We had the Diavola, montanara genovese, mortadella e pistachio and tartufata pizzas! The pizzas are roughly 12 inches and come in slices of 4. the diavola and tartufata were incredible and highly recommend. The dough and crust of the pizzas were phenomenal especially coming from the wood fire oven! They don’t have the biggest beer selection but had a tasty aperol spritz that wasn’t bitter compared to others. One mention is the food can be a bit salty but I contribute that to the meats that were on the pizzas we got. Overall a great place to dine in for a fun night out!

❤️ Overview: My friend and I came here for dinner Thursday night and we had a great experience! The servers were great as well. We made a reservation which I’m glad because it got super busy while we were there so I would recommend making one if you can! Overall, the food was really good. I really like The burrata appetizer and the diavola pizza! I would go back for both of those! I love burrata and the prosciutto. The spaghetti and clams were fine. I liked the flavor of the claims but it wasn’t anything amazing. The only thing I didn’t really like was the eggplant parm appetizer. And I LOVE eggplant parm so I know I can be very picky about it. The flavor was eh, and I know eggplant parm is very saucey but it was just like mush. started with the diavlo za ofc! the pizza had suspiciously perfect ratios of spice to cheese to sauce, it made me want to be a better person bc it was so perfect. the zucchini pasta was next... it put me into a trance, it had me wondering if i really loved my ex bc the love i felt for this za was overwhelming. And finally, the orange dessert... the fluffy airy citrisy cake (i need a candle of this specific smell) paired with icing as white as christiano ronaldos veneers, topped with some whip cream to seal the deal. It made me want to start an orange farm to ensure they will never be able to stop creating this masterpiece of a sweet treat. & on top of that they attended to me so often and lovingly the service had me feeling like the ring leaders wife of some goodfellas movie. The chefs should probably be nominated for a noble peace prize, im confident their food could bring one direction back together. At one point i even got propsed to by one of the waiters. So now i have to go back to get married to my italian man. Moral of the story please support my future husbands business

Very good Neapolitan pies paired with slightly clubby vibes ostensibly geared towards the NYU crowd. (Read: birthday celebrations entail the lights being shut off and "In Da Club" being played at top volume.) The best components of the pies we ordered were the dough (naturally) and the succulent mashed eggplant on the parmigiana pie. Those two items alone are enough to warrant a return visit!

The service was great, everyone was really friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was so cute, it was like I was back in Positano with the tiles and lemon decor. The croquet was so good! I hadnt had one before with that much delicious gooey cheese inside! We got 2 pizzas the Buffalina and Cotto E Funghi and both were delicious. I asked for a side of parm cheese and olive oil and their EVOO was very tasty. I def recommend trying this place!

The Nutella pizza is a must try if you visit Song E Napule. It large enough to be shared with 3 people and it will hit the spot after a nice meal at the restaurant.

The ambiance was great I will say, the food was seemed as if though it wasn't made with love. The dough was great, sauce was great, that's the mozzarella they included with my pizza... see picture. Service took a little minute even though it wasn't busy. Might try again another time for a different dish.

Seventeen months ago, this establishment graced me with the most precious moment. Eating Margherita pizza with guttural noises of approval from my compatriot Jackson, we spotted a girl no older than six roaming the restaurant with immense comfort. Hugging workers legs and peering onto the open kitchen counters. We thought this was surely blood to the owner, but it was cuter than that. Every Sunday this little girl would join her father for lunch at Song E Napule. She'd been coming here for hundreds of Sundays! Our waiter brought her over like the celebrity she is and introduced this little legend. Initially shying away, I asked to hear her favorite slice. In very American English she says "cheeeese" and then in very Italian English "and Margherita!" I affirm her by saying (in American English) that Margherita is my favorite too. Her response (in very Italian English) was "No! Mar-guh-reeta!!" Cute, adorable, sweet, all of the above. Shoutout that dad too, you rock. Our party came to share a Margherita pie and was met with the same familial hospitality. When your waiter hits you with a "there you go family" while he sets down a circle of oven-fired heaven then you've made it. Savor that moment and any future seat in this place. A final anecdote, tummies were a bit shambolic after a lot of previous restaurant stops. The lemon baking soda concoction that coats mustaches and drips onto your shoes single-handedly revived my guy Dom's stummy. Song E Napule deserves your time. Much love!

We arrived around 6pm and were seated right away. We had a baby with us and were offered a high chair which was delivered to our table. The wait staff was very attentive. They offered recommendations and checked on the table often. The decor was very very Italian. Cute, but a member of our party was taller and would run into the drapes from the ceiling when walking. The food was amazing. We got a pasta and two pizzas. The flavor was amazing and spot on. Very fresh. I would recommend this place for the Neapolitan pizzas.

Wow the burrata and truffle tortellini was something of my al dente pasta dreams. And the paccheri genovese was other worldly, too. The wonderful host who seated was the cherry on top of an already perfect night. Thank you :)

Delicious pizza, casual vibe, quick service what else would you need! The team is super nice, food probably came within 10 minutes and I had both a regular pizza and a Nutella pizza as dessert later. Both were fantastic!

This is my answer to the often asked--"what is your favorite pizza place in Manhattan?" Song'E Napule serves, by far, the best Napoli-style pizza I've had outside of Napoli. Take it from those in the know. Almost half of my fellow diners were speaking Italian. We ordered the delightful Diavola and Primavera pizzas and finished with a Nutella panacotta. Everything was fantastic. We come here often enough that I also have to address the birthday celebrations. They are wild and fun. The staff will bring out whipped cream and spray the birthday celebrant's face while throbbing Italian pop booms through the restaurant. It is an experience. Also, if you're curious what the Napoli/Neopolitan style is (it's not chocolate/strawberry/vanilla, for one), I'll quickly explain because it is not your standard New York slice. If you're not curious or already know what Napoli pizza is, all I have to say is this: Song'E nails it. Napoli explainer: In Neopolitan pizza, the key is simplicity. The thin crust is made of very few but extremely fresh ingredients. Bubbles should appear in the crust and there should be a slight char to the bottom. The sauce is also simple and the cheese (fresh buffala mozzarella) is in reduced proportion but still packs a flavor punch. The pizza has to be cooked at a higher temperature and for less time, so a specialized oven is required. And, famously, the first bites of every slice need to be eaten with a fork and knife, rather than by hand.

0.5/1 Ambience; 1.5/2 Food + Beverages; 1/1 Service; 1/1 Value Song' E Napule is part Italian restaurant and part shrine to Diego Maradona-- so very authentically Neapolitan. The restaurant is football themed in the blue and white of SSC Napoli, and on a cold Friday evening, there was a 20 minute wait for a walk-in table with very limited space inside the restaurant from how many patrons there were. My friend and I were in the heated outdoor patio, and we were grateful for being seated in a quieter area because the ambience rapidly turned into what I imagine a college frat party resembles. There were multiple very large groups when we went, resulting in a very chaotic atmosphere. Impressively, the staff did an incredible job with quick service. I had a pizza Napoletana, while my friend had the calzone. It was my first time having a pizza Napoletana. The crust was fluffy, bubbly and beautifully charred. The undercarriage was not particularly well done due to the high water content in the dough, so this is a pizza that needed to be cut with fork and knife under the weight of the toppings. The anchovies had a great salty contrast to the sweetness of the San Marzano tomatoes, but I do wish there was more basil. Overall, Song' E Napule has some really solid Neapolitan style pizza that left me feeling full and content. The prices are justifiable given the high quality ingredients and freshness. Definitely a place I will be returning to!

I saved this spot on my list to try their pizzas. When my friend mentioned that she was craving pizza, I suggested this place. Honestly, I was quite disappointed for my first impression... I came here for 7pm dinner with 2 friends. Since I knew this place is known for it's pizza, we opted to share a large 16 inch Margherita Pizza. The initial bite was good. It was warm. The pizza was a bit burnt on the crust, but it was understandable cause it comes from the pizza oven. The sauce was good - could tell that it's San Marzano. The cheese was not covering the whole slice like a standard NYC pizza, but more like circles of cheese pieces placed over the sauce. The cheese was good too. There were barely any basil on it. Overall the pizza tasted fine. However, I didn't think it matched it's pricing. The large pie was $28, but the slice were quite small. The size of the pie despite being "large" wasn't very big. This itself wasn't filling at all. Secondly, we ordered the Spaghetti Alle Vongole, which is the pasta with clams. But I was even more disappointed in that. The dish size was smaller than I thought. The sauce on the dish was very lacking. I barely tasted the tomato sauce. The clams itself was miniature - can be finished in minutes. There wasn't much to be filling either. Overall, I unfortunately had higher expectations that weren't met. I'm not sure if it was only that day, but I wish I had liked it better. The two dishes that we shared left us still very hungry. But the pricing was kinda high for the quality/quantity that we just opted to close out the check and order more elsewhere.

I had this restaurant saved primarily because of their Margherita Pizza. I first thought it was gimicky at first with all the decorations when I stepped in. But we were greater by Italian staff and it was a pleasant atmosphere. Hubs and I both ordered our own individual pizza. As stated above, I ordered the Margherita. I was taken back to our quick trip to Napoli for $5 pizza upon first bite. It tasted like heaven. Just in case you did not want to believe my review, other customers (Italians) were also raving about the food stating it was the best they've had. New York seems to do Italian well. I highly recommend checking out the restaurant!

It's time for an update, since the original location on W Houston St. is now shuttered and we had to move down the block to the new location. It's equally evocative of Naples, larger, and with an expanded menu. The pizzas are still delicious - maybe the most authentic Naples style in NYC. But the atmosphere is punishingly loud and frenetic, and this is not exactly cheap eats. Be prepared for VERY LOUD music, people singing, people dancing, servers bumping you, etc. It's all in good fun, but if you are looking for a quiet conversation with your dining companion, you won't find it here. I hear they have a DJ on weekends (!). Add a star if you miss Italy and want to hear Italian spoken by half of the patrons in the dining room. Service is caring and professional, especially when they decide you are a regular.

Had reservations for 6:30 and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table - but we didn't mind at all! There are very few tables at the restaurant and it was so busy! Once we got seated, the service was excellent. We ordered the classic margarita and the vegetable pizza. The margarita pizza is a must order - a classic done well. The inside is decorated nicely and it is very cozy.

5 ! This place is really small (better to book a table!) however the service and the quality of the products are amazing! I ordered "salsiccia e friarielli" pizza, the ingredients were fresh and the taste was delicious! It reminded me of Italy The staff is friendly and helpful. While eating you can hear Italian songs! One of the waiters was really nice and even brought me a dessert, without my asking! He was very kind, thank you very much again! For sure I will come back!

Came here on a Saturday night with a party of 6 for dinner with a res. The place is tiny and cramped. They def pack in tables b/c of it so I would suggest going to another location if that is a problem. Keep in mind that there is only a 60 minute seating time which we were surprised at. They were trying to rush us out to seat other people which was frustrating. The pizzas are sizable for 1 person. My friend and I split a large which was perfect amount of food for 2. They come out quick out of the oven.

I love pizza and this is my first visit. IN addition to the service being fantastic, the kale salad came out ice cold super crisp and fresh with just the right amount of olive oil and lemon. The pizza is as close to Napoli as I have had. 5*****

~ Diavola Pizza ~ I really like Neapolitan pizza, so I did my research and read that this place is one of the top spots for authentic ones, and people are right. It has a really nice dough, puffed up perfectly with the right amount of char under the high temperature brick oven. It has a fluffy and moist crust, and the bottom soaked up all the juices from the fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella, yum! There are a generous amount of spicy salami on top! They are not spicy, but the aromatic punch of spices and saltiness add tons of flavour and texture to the pizza. However, there are only like 3 basil on the pizza, would have liked them to add more. Will I be be back? Yes It serves good pizza and I'll be back to try their other pizzas, and even non pizza options!

They have a special birthday pizza dessert, which is a delightful play on the traditional pizza. It's made with their exquisite pizza dough and covered with a luscious Nutella sauce. They go out of their way to ensure that birthday celebrations are full of laughter and unique experiences. I've attended two birthdays here, and each time the servers were the life of the party. The first time, the birthday boy was treated to a playful spray of chocolate sauce straight from the bottle into his mouth. The second time, the servers playfully shot whipped cream into everyone's mouth, which had us all in fits of laughter. It's these kind of moments that make dining here not just a meal, but an unforgettable experience.

Best Neapolitan pizza I've had in a long time, and the best I've had in NY so far. I make Neapolitan pizza and I know how challenging it is. Their dough was perfection. Crispy, airflow, and had a lovely stretch and chew. Perfect sauce as well. We also had a couple pastas and they were also fantastic.

Got the eggplant parm which was an appetizer. Wasn't super hungry when I went. It was good but wish it was a little bit crispier and not as saucy as it was. But overall good dish can't complain. The food came out fairly quick and the restaurant was a small in the hole place. Apparently they had another location not even a block down but didn't know so we came to this one. Also tried some Margherita pizza someone in my party ordered and it was good as well Definitely would come back here again

The pizza crust here was amazing! I'm usually not a crust person, but Song E Napule has one of the lightest and most fluffy crusts that I've had in the city. I walked in on a Sunday night around 5:30pm and the place wasn't too packed (though the tables are all quite close together). My friend and I ordered the Calamari Alla Griglia and Napoletana to share. I enjoyed the calamari - it was extra smoky and the zucchini and eggplant added some much-needed veggies to a high-carb meal. The Napoletana was good, but had a bit too much cheese for my taste. The anchovies also did not elevate the pizza as much as I had expected, and instead added more salt than I would've preferred to each bite. However, the dough and crust were super standout, and I would come back for that alone. Service was relatively quick and the ambiance is overall a nice, local feel. The place is small but they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Worth a visit if you are craving Neapolitan and in the area.

Ordered Meatballs, Bread, Chianti, Kale Caesar, Gnocchi red sauce, and. Sausage Mushroom Pizza with no mushrooms. Everything was AMAZING! I don't like kale, but that dressing would taste good on anything. The pizza was top notch napoletana, and the outer crust was crispy with a soft bread interior. Ordered some dessert, and they gave us an extra one, homemade panna cotta. Service was awesome, too. Highly recommend!

As authentic as it gets; pizza is amazing and lots of specials with porcini and truffles; owner on the patio actively working and engaged, Great staff engaged all the time. I walked past many restaurants and am glad that I did.

Fantastic. Came here based on a recommendation from someone that sells pizza ovens, and the pizza here definitely doesn't disappoint. It's a small and bustling restaurant, where you have to walk thru the kitchen to get to the bathroom (which looks like it doubles as a locker for the staff). That said, the bathroom is clean and well stocked. The tables are incredibly close together. We did get moved to a more comfortable table though we did subsequently offer to move again to allow them to seat a table of 5 together, but that group sat outside in the end. I was happy to suffer through all of that given the strength of the recommendation. We arrived 20 minutes early (already ravenous, and we were basically kicked out of Crate and Barrel as they closed early for Easter) but they accommodated us quickly too. Much appreciated. Pizza is amazing. Went with the 16inch pie with sausage and mushroom and it was great. The pizza dough is delicious. I'm normally not one to eat too much of the crust but the quality of it meant I didn't want to waste any of it. The fettuccine bolognese is good too, flavorful without being too salty. Grilled calamari is almost an entree on its own, coming with grilled zucchini and eggplant on a bed of arugula. Toss in a glass of Chianti and that's a proper meal for two, with leftovers. We'll have to come back another time to try their desserts. Spoke with the host on the way out and learned that they're moving down the block for a larger space soon. Also, the passion and pride he had for the food and restaurant was obvious. Definitely worth a visit. Make a reservation for sure as it's quite popular. Hoping they don't lose their passion or charm (or Maradona and Napoli memorabilia) when they move.

This place ranked 36th on "50 Top Pizza Worldwide" list, an Italian compilation of the best Italian style pizzas. I think the pizza was good, not great, and would say that there are Neapolitan style pizza places that didn't make that list elsewhere in the city that I felt were just as good if not better. Overall a bit underwhelmed, but here's what to get and what to avoid: ***DIAVOLO - really good, leans on the salty side, slices of meat decorate a nicely tangy tomato sauce and pools of stretchy white cheese. Fluffy crust, and would recommend PORCINI PIE - please skip this. The mushrooms were very wet and tasted like canned mushrooms, lacked robust flavor, and the truffle was very weak if nonexistent. The issue with truffle is that many restaurants will use truffle extract which results in a less robust truffle flavor - I suspect this may be the case here. CACIO E PEPE GNOCCHI - great idea, and love a cacio e pepe moment. Will say that it could have been pepperier, but was creamy, and the gnocchi was al dente and fresh, a bit runny at times on the inside, but is filled with the cacio e pepe sauce inside which is a cool deviation from tradition gnocchi. I liked this but it wasn't mindblowing. Vibes - intimate and cozy and feels like it was taken right out of a small town in Italy. Lively staff, you can see the pizza oven working behind the counter.

Absolutely incredible! The meatballs were unbelievable. Loved loved loved. Honestly one of my favorite restaurants I've been too. They also opened a restaurant next door!

My husband wanted to try here for his birthday. Our pizzas were really delicious and brought us back to our visit to Naples last year (the taste and quality of the ingredients were very similar). The restaurant's ambiance was welcoming, and it felt like we were eating in a restaurant in Naples. My toddler said, "This pizza is delicious" (about 6 times), as he proceeded to eat 4 slices of his pizza margherita. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our waiter, Madan, was extremely attentive, and he made our first visit here memorable and one of the main reasons why we would visit here again. My son even gave him a high five and a hug before we left. Run don't walk to this restaurant for authentic pizza Napoletana. It's definitely at the top of our list of favorite restaurants for pizza in NY.

Delizioso, one of the best pizza Napoletana I've had in NYC!! Walked in on a Sunday evening and got super lucky with a 2 seater. Were told we would have a bit more than an hour before a reservation walked in. Nomz: We started off with the recommended eggplant as a starter (Parmigiana Di Melanzane). It was good but there wasn't much solid-ness in the dish. All melty goodness, so if you prefer more structure then I don't recommend. We had the Diavola pizza, I love spice so it was delicousness. The dough was to die for, nomz. We ate all of it so if you're very hungry or don't get an app, get 2. Service: Very fast and on top of it service. They're very busy but they're very nice and you don't feel rushed. Ambiance: It's small, cute and super cozy. Felt like I was back on the streets of Napoli - the clothes hanging over your head and the extreme Maradona fandom, what a delight. Nope or Dope: DOPEEE, I can not wait to try all their appetizers and stuff my face with their pizza, my mouth is watering as I type. Head here nowwwww!

This is the real thing. Stop wasting your time looking for "New York Style Pizza." Stop already with the $1 pizza and folding it in half for your Insta-spam. Respect the craft and come sit down for the best pizza you'll ever have. An establishment with class who recognizes greatness like Maradona. If you don't know who Maradona is, stay home, call Dominoes and turn on the Jets game. You are basic. Even an outsider like me knows greatness when it touches my tastebuds. Now so far this is the best pizza I've had in New York. It is genuinely delicious and high quality, not like some of the other over-hyped places that are more instagrammable than delicious. If you're coming to visit in New York and want actually amazing tasting pizza, come here. Good service and loved the Italian decor.

A napolitan friend recommended me this place and it didn't dissapoint. The service is kind and fast and the pizza is very good. If you are feeling hungry you can eat a whole small (I would say its medium size) pizza. We shared the TARTUFATA and the EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA. Both really good but the TARTUFATA was better because of the truffle oil ESPAÑOL: Un amigo napolitano me recomendó este lugar y no me defraudó. El servicio es amable y rápido y la pizza está muy rica. Si tienes hambre puedes comerte una pizza pequeña (yo diría que es de tamaño mediano) entera. Compartimos la TARTUFATA y la PARMIGIANA CON BERENJENA. Ambas muy ricas pero el destacaba sobretodo la tartufata por el aceite de trufa.

Interesting Italian restaurant offering quality pizzas and pastas in a heavily Maradona-themed environment. I ordered the Fettuccine Nere con Gamberi ($23), which was a squid ink pasta with shrimp and tomatoes. The pasta was cooked pretty well and the shrimp were large and meaty. Other than that it was fairly standard in quality. I also ordered the Salsicce e Funghi Pizza ($20), which had mushrooms, sausage, and mozzarella. The mozzarella in particular was very good and stretchy. The other toppings were decent. My main complaint about the pizza is that the dough was a bit too thin, which also made the toppings fall off quite easily - pizza was still generally decent though. The most interesting part of this restaurant is that there is Maradona and Italy themed decor all over the place, which certainly suggests it is a very authentic and proud Italian restaurant. The staff even have shirts that say Maradona on the back. All this decor makes for a pretty nice and fun environment, coupled with the dimmed lighting for a bit of a more intimate feel, signaling that this is most definitely a proper sit-down restaurant and not just something like a sports bar. Another interesting point is that there is another Song E Napule just a few doors down on the same block - don't ask me why or how that happened. However, the other one is way noisier with loud music playing, while this one is at a far more comfortable volume level (so I prefer this one). The staff here are average friendliness. The service speed is pretty quick. Overall, if you are looking for quality pizza and pasta in a more interesting environment, then Song E Napule would be a good choice for you.

If you look carefully at the name it says it all: 'sing while you eat delicious food from Naples.' Across many Italian circles, this establishment is known for its authentic pizza and organized chaos-like atmosphere, reminiscent of the infamous city of Naples. Well, you'll find both to the splendid delight of many patrons (including I) when eating in this establishment. Most days of the week, I would happily eat their pizza margheria, quattro formaggi ("4 cheese") and caprese (buffala di mozzarella e pomodori) appetizer. The service is fast and efficient with minimal attitude that comes with busy Italian restaurants in the NYC area. Don't be fooled by the presence of other restaurants with this same title, many of them all have their unique taste. Their ingredients are particularly fresh, too. An example is the Caprese - the mozzarella di buffala is hard to find / all imported and yet, somehow, further elevated with drizzled basil and ripe Roma tomatoes that all add extra "oomph" into the dish. Highly recommended overall!

I visited their new location on Houston. Ambience is still really nice and the pizza is fantastic. As good as you would get in Napoli. I don't love doing this, but I don't think the overall experience still deserves five stars. A few feedback points which I hope will help keeping this place a great restaurant: -I realize there's been inflation in recent years, but the prices have really climbed. -We ordered the calamari fritti. Excellent but for $20 dollars the portion was really small -Biggest piece of feedback was how the meal ended. We just finished dessert and within 1-2 minutes the waiter dropped us the check without us suggesting we were ready to leave and basically hinted that we had to pay and leave because they had other people waiting for tables. Ci va più rispetto per il cliente.

Very good pizza that definitely reminds me of Italy. I don't usually finish my crust but I ate every last bit of my pizza. There's not much of an ambiance and the place is small but I personally found the servers to be accommodating and friendly despite it being dinner rush hour. The burrata with prosciutto was fresh but nothing to write home about. We got the white pizza, Tartufata, and man, it was heavenly. Soft and full of truffle flavor with the saltiness of the prosciutto. I would definitely come back, especially when missing Italy, and definitely to try the red sauce pizza.

I was transported to Italy on an otherwise uneventful Tuesday evening. It was a simple but charming place: tables & chairs cramped together in the tiny interior, spilling out into outdoor seating. Waiters squeezed by each other to get to the kitchen & everyone steamed in their seats as the tiny mounted corner fan tried to accomplish even 5% of what an actual AC could. I lost my squid ink pasta virginity in the form of the FETTUCCINE NERE CON GAMBERI. It was a pleasant experience, especially for my first time. The shrimp were abundant & flavorful and I could detect a distant ocean wave in each noodle. Will need to add more to my dataset of squid ink flavor profile but the day's flavor reminded me of tomatoes (probably came from the dish's tomatoes). Overall, I enjoyed the pasta and had a ball grazing on my friend's pizza crust, too. The waiters were playful & responded with a "ciao bella" as I practiced my Italian farewell on our way out. Would definitely come back!

Very good Naples style pizza. The place itself is small. There are indoor tables and outside they literally have folding tables and chairs. We tried 3 different types of pizza (Margherita, mushroom and sausage and a white pizza with truffle oil). All were well above average but Margherita was my preference. The dough is fluffy and airy. Relative to other types of thin crust pizza this leans doughier. Some notes: reservations are accepted and a good idea. Indoors it's a bit warm because it's open to the kitchen and the front is open to the street. A small pie can be eaten by 1 person.

Avoid if you are celebrating a birthday or event - or just want to enjoy dinner on a Friday night for more than an hour. They completely ruined my bday dinner last week. I booked Song E Napule for my birthday last friday specifically to enjoy a girls dinner for 6 people. My cousin called ahead on that day to confirm and let them know it was a birthday. They rushed us through the meal - we didn't even get to finish our pizza (which was fine, but we picked this place for the ambiance and relaxed atmosphere not the food). They are known to have fun bday vibes but not tonight apparently. They took our plates/unfinished pizza without asking, refused to let us order a second bottle of wine. Rushed through the bday celebration by just turning the lights on and off and putting whipped cream on my face??? I didn't even get to choose the dessert - I was planning on getting tiramisu and they brought some weird vanilla pudding that no one ate (not like we had the time anyway). Also one of the waiters knocked me on the head pretty hard (accidentally but still, with everything else, this dinner was a disaster). They forced us to pay the bill and leave - and were not nice about it. Our reservation was for 8pm and we were standing outside at 9:10pm. (and of course, who in NY shows up on time, so we were there for less than an hour total). When we pushed back they said they were busy and had a one hour policy??? I've never heard of less than 90 minutes. We chose this place to avoid something like that - I would have gone with a scenier / more upscale spot if I had known, like Cafe Chelsea. They were very rude about it as well (even to me who's birthday it was) and said "we should have called ahead to tell them, they would have sat us differently" - BUT WE DID CALL, THAT SAME DAY! When I pointed this out he got even ruder. Completely ruined my bday just to turn over a table. Awful! And FYI, we are 6 women who were not rowdy or rude at all, we were there to enjoy a few glasses of wine and celebrate a calm, fun birthday. Sad that the restaurant made that impossible, really ruined the evening for me when all I wanted to do was catch up with friends on my birthday. Service = Horrific; pizza = fine, definitely not good enough to justify how rude they were. PS this is the first negative review I think I've ever written? That's how bad the experience was.

The closest we've found to spot-on traditional Napoli pizza in New York! Pizzas could not be more fresh -- on the way to the bathroom, you'll walk right past the oven and get a closeup view of the fresh dough . Crust is pillowy, chewy and paper thin with delicious toppings. We tried a couple white pizzas and one red and the whites were the winners -- the tartufato in particular, which has just the right amount of truffle flavor (not overpowering) draped with slices of high quality prosciutto. Red pizza had a homemade sauce that tasted garden fresh though the simple margherita was better than others with more toppings which became a bit mushy under their weight. Aside from pizza, the meatball appetizer is a standout -- meatballs so moist they fall apart, with a sauce so addictive we were licking the remainder with our fingers. The linguini Nero w shrimp was also a winner, again with a sauce chock full of fresh tomatoes and plenty of perfectly cooked rock shrimp. All in all, a surprise gem amid a very touristy stretch of Houston with hit or or miss restaurants -- Song e Napule is definitely a hit.

I had been recommended to try this place, so we made a reservation for a Friday evening just a few days before. The place is small, so I would recommend making a reservation if you get the chance! Only thing of note is that they actually only seem to hold reservations for small parties for 1 hour, and this is noted when you make the reservation - we were curious if they would stick to this and, sure enough, the server came around to let us know the next party was arriving after 1 hour. I thought that was ok though, since the food came out super quickly and we were done with our meal by then. We ordered a pizza and a pasta to try both as a group I thought that the pizza was super tasty - I loved the thin crust and the generous amount of cheese and tomato sauce that came along with the toppings! It had just come out of the oven and you can taste the crispness and freshness of it! Compared to the pizza, the pasta was less exciting - it was good, but I would definitely recommend ordering the pizza if you are deciding between the two. Overall, come here for their pizza, but don't expect to have a long time to eat!

The Neapolitan Pizza oven is amazing!! I went with a friend and each of us had an individual one. It's been a long time since I don't have a pizza that really tastes that the ones I got in Naples. Also, the decoration is incredible and the staff is friendly. The only weak point is that it is a bit small, but the locations are so expensive in NYC, that I think that is expected. It was hard for me to decide which pizza to pick because all the options were amazing. Be careful because if you eat to much you can wake up at night singing: Oh mama mama mama oh mama mama mama Sai perché mi batte il corazon Ho visto Maradona Ho visto Maradona

Great little place with great service! Very quaint with inside and outside seating for dining alfresco. The truffle pizza is a must-never had pizza so good!! (Sorry-no pics it was THAT good)

Was excited to eat here because of the rave reviews but overall felt the pizza was disappointing. The burrata was my favorite dish of the meal. The gnocchi was OK -- it was very creamy. The porcini pizza was not good I don't recommend. The diavola pizza was OK. Quick service and cozy vibe. I may give it another try and get different food options next time.

Recommended by an NYC local. The pizzas had a very thin and slightly chewy texture that I love. The toppings were fresh and not overpowering and definitely not drowning in cheese like American pizzas. My parents loved the squid ink pasta with shrimp. The owner was super nice and tentative. The store itself is tiny with maybe 4 tables inside and a couple tables outside. The only mishap was that their air conditioning broke down when we were there. They did promptly have someone come fix it. Definitely would come back again.

I went to Song E Napule for my birthday a few weeks ago. I've been once before and loved everything about it and wanted to come back to celebrate the new year! I made a reservation in advance about two weeks before my bday for 20 people (a lot in nyc I know lol... i have too many friends) on opentable. I also made sure to call and confirm that it would be okay. To make things easier I decided to order everything ahead of time and make it family style for my guest. With the amount of people I had, they moved our reservation to other restaurant on the same block. I made sure to confirm the day before that my reservation was in place. Upon my arrival however, both locations forgot about my reservation. So it took a while for them to figure it out and decide which location would host us. Regardless of that situation, the manager made sure that we were taken care of! The service was absolutely amazing and the food was to die for! Everyone loved loved loved the Burrata! The mushroom and four cheese pizza was also a hit! We finished everything off with Nutella pizza and their Nutella pizza dough balls! They brought it to me with sparklers and it was so much fun! I will say the calamari was a bit hard to eat as it wasn't really cut into smaller pieces for people to eat, but I think that was because they seemed rushed. Really happy that I decided to dine here with all my friends! We will definitely be back!
