On a Friday in June 2025 we took a break in Frankenberg from a long drive. The only place open at 13:30, other than an Asian restaurant, was the Sonne Stuben which had tables in front of the hotel and the town hall. What an incredibly tasty lunch! We didn’t know about the Michelin star rating until later but it was apparent from the first bite. I had the small salad and my partner the pastrami on sourdough: both were considered appetizers but each was truly a meal. The important thing is that the flavors of both dishes were incredibly well-balanced, the ingredients were truly fresh, and every bite was sheer enjoyment. Fabulous and wonderfully memorable. And the waiter was very attentive as well!
