The food is expensive and no flavor. My soup didn’t have no veggies just pieces of potatoes, don’t waste your money here. Gallina was stale. Never coming here again.

I was invited for dinner to this restaurant. Food flavor is not good at all! Los pastelitos de carne are so small tiny thwy are filled with more vegetables then meat. Also las pupusas have no salt as well as for there curtido has no salt as well is made with water n not vinegar! Expensive place to eat n the food is not worth it. Just eat some eggs at home.

Great place with excellent food. They bring you fried tortillas with a bean cheese sauce as a free appetizer. Horchata was great and the breakfast sonsonate is a big plate. Eggs were a little plain but there is hot sauce on the table that helps.

Great spot for some authentic food you won't be disappointed.

The pupusas are really good. The chips and salsa they give you is amazing when you go you'll see what I mean. I ordered the Desayuno Guanaco, it was delicious. The horchata tastes great. Overall the food is delicious. The prices can get high but there on things on the menu that are not so expensive (like the pupusas). The place can get pretty packed and you may need to wait to be seated but it's worth it. They provided alot of parking behind their restaurant and on both sides of the restaurant.

The seasoning in those beans, oh my, best casamiento I've had yet!

CASH ONLY, Went for the pupusas, end up ordering breakfast instead, Sonsonateco is great, Ejecutivo is a "Full Breakfast". Great for brunch or Hangover cure, clean, good service.

Freaking Delicious! Authentic Salvadoran food! Soup delicious taste homemade. The chicharrones and the yucca frita 🔥🔥 will be coming back! Pupusas were good as well.

This place is my current favorite for arroz pupusas. The service is always amazing. I usually get yucca and arroz pupusas with extra curtido on the side. The curtido has a little kick because of the jalapeños but it's so flavorful. They only accept cash though which is a bit inconvenient, but it's definitely worth the visit.

Amazing food! Everything was so delicious , the beans were my favorite I absolutely have nothing bad to say about it. Only thing is the tables are crowded and it's a little squished . If they took tables out and had people waiting I think it would be better . There was no wait for us and it was truly delicious and authentic !!! Must try, trying next location next

Ordenamos una Parrillada y 5 pupusas de frijoles con queso y revueltos. Las pupusas sabían como si fueron echos el día anterior, hasta las tortillas que vienen con la Parrillada estaban viejas. Pedí carne extra y no tuve ningún problema en pagar más, de lo que la mujer tomó nota. Cuando recogí mi comida y verifiqué que no había carne extra y cuando fui a presentar una queja, me negaron que la ordenara de la misma manera que lo hice y me estafaron con mi dinero. Esta no es la primera vez que esto sucede y la calidad de la comida ha empeorado. La mujer que me notó mi orden fue mentirosa y me dio actitud cuando le pregunté sobre el error de mi orden. Acá no regreso

Al parecer han cambiado de cocinero porque la comida tiene un sabor diferente. Pedimos 2 clases de sopas diferentes y parecían ya sopas recalentadas de días y la porción de gallina bien pequeña creo que fue mii ultima ves en ese lugar han bajado mucho la calidad.

Literally looks like I went to eat to someone's house. Waitress were talking about their personal business from one corner to the other. I had to get waitresses attention twice just to get a cup of water while eating. I ordered 2 pupusas while I was eating one waitress came and asked if i was finished with my curtido and salsa, if so she needed for another table. I was stunned! Do not recommend first and last time going.

Un restaurante que acepta solo cash y te agrega el 10 % de tu compra total por solo doa personas como cobro por el servicio pero sus meseras no resivem nada; no vale la pena ir. Gente aprovechada. El paseo San Miguel esta mejor

La comida es excelente , lastimosamente el dueño toma ventaja de los clientes que no chekean notas en letras pequeñas y hacen todo escondido tienen un sub-charge en sus facturas que no lo hacen saber antes fuero perfecto si ponen la nota abajo de donde ponen su nota de cash only eso quiere decir que es algo escondido que ellos planean hacia el cliente y los afectados son sus propias meseras ... Buena comida , mal gerencia Sugerencia si ellos ponen letras chikitas en el menú póngan un sign igual de grande como el de cash only

The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because of the CASH ONLY policy. They really need to be changed but they give you straws so all good there. The Horchata brings me back to my childhood. They give you a tortilla cut like fries with guacamole as a starter. It was quite yummy. The pupusas were bombastic. OMG it's been so long since I've had a good pupusa. Living in Vegas makes it difficult to find something this good.

Waited to be seated for over 15 mins the waitresses were just yapping and didnt even bother to sit me down until they felt like it. They sat me in a table that had beans all over the chair. i moved to another table which was also dirty with salsa . Told my waitress and she just said it was okay that I can move to any other table. she never went to clean the tables or chairs after I told her . waitress wasn't too attentive. Food was a 2/10 took over 30 mins for 2 pupusas . Horrible . place is filled with flies. Also its a cash only place but the atm is broken .

Over priced popusas soggy and bearly any chicharon and cheese. The Horchata was nice.

I paid almost $60.00 for 10 chicken tamales to go. I guess it won't have been that bad if the tamales would have been good. They were dry and tasteless. I will not be doing that again.

Best pupusas i have had in a long long time great horchata great free bean and guacamole chips great service and great breakfast.

I last reviewed this place in 2011. I went back in 2022 and tried something different. The carne asada is SO good. I order carne asada at Mexican and Salvadorian places all the time and more often than not they fall short. Sonsonate Grill did not. The flavor of the carne asada is so good. It is also tender and flavorful. It is everything it should be. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the customer service but that has never been my experience. The servers have always been extremely friendly even when busy.

The worst service ever ....don't take your order right. They give you what they want. ladies always making mistakes in your orders. Make sure to double check your order before taking out.

Es increíble como se aprovechan de las meseras aquí te cobran solo cash y en tu ticket te agregan un sourcharge del 10 % de toda tu compra según para el servicio que se consideraría el tip pero que creen? No se los dan a ellas se lo queda el restaurante la gente piensa que es para ellas. Aparte de ser algo ilegal es inhumano. Que triste que haya gente que viva a costa de los demás. Mi servicio fue excelente pero no regresare a este tipo de lugar jamás !!!

Customer service over the phone sucks. The lady who answered was on another call which seem like she was arguing with the customer. When she finally got me she was very annoyed. I don't know if they're over working these women, but with that service I rather go elsewhere.

The service excelente, la comida muy buena, como siempre este lugar es consistente en su comida, pero esta vez hay una queja y tiene que ver con el cargo extra d el 10% que supuestamente es ora el mantenimiento de el lugar! Ese cargo es ilegal y lo siento por las meseras, pues mucha clientes ya no les dejan propinas a ellas o ellos por esa razón. Esa es la razón por esta evaluación y posiblemente ya no asistiremos a comer a este lugar.

Definitivamente tienen que hacer un updates en los horarios. las muchachas pueden ser más amable al decir que están cerrados no se talvez "buenas noches, lo sentimos hemos cambiado nuestros horarios cerramos a las ocho" una de las meseras a solo entrar me dijo "permítame" y otra mesera grito del otro lado de la mesa "ya está cerrado" Si no fuera por la comida que es rica no regresaría.

Food was good for all parties. Margarita barely had alcohol and they only accept cash. ATM machine is on premises but fee is very high! Tortilla chips and guacamole were awesome, made from salvadoran style tortillas!

This place was one of my favorites spots for Salvadoran food; the food is good. It was always a bit pricier than other places nearby but I didn't really care because the food was good, I just recently realized that they have been charging a "restaurant surcharge" of 10%, that is crazy! Prices are already high, I'm never going back again, I didn't see any sign mentioning any surcharge. No wonder I noticed the last couple of times I was there the restaurant is empty. I will definitely let all my friends and family know about the surcharge. I'm going to Paseo San Miguel, cheaper and good food.

My uncle took us out here since he enjoyed his last dining experience during the pandemic when there was outdoor dining. We were surprised to see how things had changed. The quality of the food had markedly declined. The tamales were not fresh, they were at least a day old, if not more. The pupusas were not well prepared, the seasoning was off, the flavor was not right. Maybe the ingredients were adulterated or substituted but it did not taste authentic. The fajitas consisted of grilled chicken and onions, only a few peppers and hardly any beans, very dissatisfied. The environment was alright, except for the lack of air conditioning which was noticeable when it was 91 F outside. For the prices this place charge I would rather go to the Cheese Cake Factory or Olive Garden. At least I get what I expect when I go there.

Great Salvi breakfast! We had the plátanos with beans and crema yum! We asked them to add a side of scrambled eggs with veggies. So good. We also ordered a tamal and a pupusa revuelta. Everything was delicious! My favorite were the complimentary fried tortilla chips that come with guacamole and the most delicious refried beans I've ever had. To drink we had coffee, which was decent, an ensalada and a strawberry smoothie. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. Not in the best neighborhood, but has plenty of secure parking in the back. The place inside has nice seating and homey Salvi vibes from the Spanish music to the tvs tuned into Spanish television shows. Family friendly spot. I brought my 3 yo and she loved it.

This place is amazingggg! The pupusas are great, I really loved their tortilla chips with Guacamole! The agua frescas are very very fresh (I had the Jamaica and it tasted amazing)! I feel like the food is very good and amazing quantity. The staff was very nice and made sure we were taken care of during our visit. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like Salvadorian food, and if you don't you should definitely give it a try I know you will love it!

Love this place always good vibes with the music and Live Soccer games.Food is always on point no matter what you get. My favorite dish when going in big groups is the seafood enparrilladas..

Pupusas have become my new hangover cures. Pair that with the michelada they serve st this restaurant, and you're golden. I highly recommend the pupusas and tamales. Only downfall- its cash only. But don't let it discourage you from going.

BEWARE!!!! The food is okay overall. Is it worth their overpriced plates? No. Today the shrimps were like melting/ dissolving as soon as you put it in your mouth; overcooked! gross! Which brings me to my next rant: I understand everything has gone up however this establishment is shady with additional charges. They are now adding a "restaurant subcharge" without telling you; just added to your bill. So you're charging 10 percent extra for a pick up order and still expect tip? Ridiculous. When I inquired they said they need to do a subcharge to stay open. You would think with their overpriced plates, they could cover that....... this soup used to cost $13, and now it's $20. Avoid this place.

The food here is delicious! It's authentic salvadoreño cuisine. The caldo de res tastes just like grandma makes. The black beans are so tasty! We also tried The pupusas revueltas and the hígado encebollado. All delicious. The place is small, but clean. Staff is friendly. The outside looks like a hole in the wall, but like they say those are always the best.

The food is okay, like your typical Salvi Restaurant. What needs to improve is the little bitty short thing with attitude that works in the back. She was in the restroom when a customer needed to know if it was occupied and she yelled at him once she came out. Mind you at the time, only the men's restroom was working so we had to wait in line. Lady don't be yelling at us because your taking your sweet time.

El sabor de la comida es buena pero no me gusta que le cobran extra $1.75 en el Bill y no se ni de q ! Eso es un robo descarado, los clientes deben fijarse q les está cobrando extras!!! Aparte del impuesto de gobierno saben q mas nos cobran y las empleadas ni saben dar información, no recomiendo este restaurante.

La comida es sabrosa Buenos precios Pero el servicio y atencion de las meseras es horrible!!!! Parese q estan alli ala fuerza,como que no les gusta su trabajo,no son educadas, no saludan y parese que como que a comer de a gratis va uno alli. No tienen que ser amistosas si no ,atentas,educadas y serviciales! Nosotros necesitamos de ellos, pero ellos necesitan mas de los clientes, sin clientes no hay dinero y sin dinero todos pierden!!

Servicio y comida está bien, lo único es que la música es demasiado alta es casi imposible hablar entre sí por la música. Las meseras dicen que no pueden regular el volúmen. No recomiendo este restaurante.

The food is good friendly waitresses, the reason I'm giving 3 stars because they need to improve their system payment method only cash most of the people using credit card. please that needs be changed.

Extremely upsetting there is a service charge even when paying with cash. Not right. The food is ok.

Not a huge selection for my liking on the menu. You'll have your known Salvadoran plates and some variety of others but still a small menu. The plates are big enough to fill one person up or take some left overs. Most plates are worth the price. I had the shrimp fajitas it comes with fries mixed in and beans in a baby plastic cup with rice and the old reliable big piece cut salad we are known for (see picture). The shrimp was seasoned just right not salty, rice was delicious to me. The tortillas are always good too. The tostadas are served with enough for 2. Overall going back to try the tostadas de ceviche.

Primera vez que fuimos a comer, pedimos una sopa de Res. Muy Rica. Las ultimas 3 veces que fuimos, pedimos lo mismos 2 sopas de Res y que como la cocinera no se pone pilas a cocinar o recalentar la carne, la carne todavía venia fría de en medio. Primera y ultima vez que vamos a este lugar. NECESITAN NUEVA COCINERA O QUE POR FAVOR SE PONGA MAS BUSA EN COCINAR!!

We've been coming here for like ever! It's our go to and we like it. Service is pretty good, food tastes great. Their drinks are served with a lot of ice so I always ask for less ice. I ordered a pick up and asked for casamiento and even asked the lady who gave it to me to confirm and she said yes. Came home and opened my plate and it had regular rice. So annoying since I asked before leaving. They just put up 3% charge for minimum wage which leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If they increase the menu prices it wouldn't have been so obvious. Minus one for the 3% and minus another one for being so careless. Not a 5 star kind of restaurant but a descent go to. I will, however, start looking for another go to after a couple mishaps. I've gone two more times and did pick up order. I advise to check your order because they missed some stuff of my order after they verbally told me it was all there. They are getting worse every time. They now don't take cards. Cash only? Shouldn't you get better? This restaurant is going downhill quick.

The staff have no common sense. They call customers randomly to get seated they don't go in order. The Waitresses are rude when you ask them to take your order. The waitress that helped my family would talk back when we would ask for a special order. The restrooms where dirty. The pictures are from the gentlemen's restroom but my grand mother assured me that the lady's room was worse. The floors were wet and there were no warning signs.

*** GO TO THE OTHER LOCATION AT AVALON & VERNON*** Yup I'm 100% done with this place. This place continues to go down the drain with their service and quality of food. ( See pictures attached) I got served old chicken soup which they refused to take back, and the Pico de Gallo that came with my plate was old and dry. They raised the price of their food, but the quality sucks. I don't know what's more disgusting and the food or customer service, the waiters are all in a bad attitude. I will no longer be returning to this location !

**WORST COSTUMER SERVICE** If you want a side of attitude & eye rolls this is the location. Read below We called a few days in advance to see if we can make a reservation. They said no. Totally fine. Most of the group arrived a little before 7pm & were put on a wait list. We waited around 30 minutes & they told us "they were waiting for tables to be available" BUT had taken in at least 3 different parties of 2-6 people. Mind you we were a group of 11. So we waited another 15 minutes & I went to go see what was going on & they gave me attitude & then acted like the phone rang & turned around - UNPROFESSIONAL. So we then decided to ask if we can place our order so by the time our table was ready so was the food.. here's where it begins to get good - one of the ladies decided to say no you can't & basically arguing with one of my family members. Then another lovely waitress came out (HER NAME IS CLAUDIA) by the way & basically took over. She figured out how to get us a table ready & started to take our order. Mind you the other waitresses proceeded to give us attitude & dirty looks. THEY ALSO DID NOT TAKE THE TIME TO HELP CLAUDIA OUT MUCH. She got very minimal help. You go Claudia . We aren't sure what the problem was or why they tried to completely avoid us we want to think it was because we wouldn't tip well but they shouldn't have assumed but regardless - extremely poor costumer service aside from Claudia. Here's the best part - on here it says they close at 10pm. When we were in the restaurant they claimed to close at 8:30pm so what we can assume is that they were trying to push it so they could not seat us at all plus again the assumption they had that we weren't going to tip well - UNPROFESSIONAL. They also SAT another party down & they were patiently waiting for someone to take their order & when the waitresses finally realized they had not been attended they were like "we are closed. We can't take your order" LOL! This place is a literal joke. Thankfully that party stayed their ground & got served. This is NOT somewhere you want to eat. The food isn't even worth the price. Not worth dealing with terrible customer service & then received salty food.. ahah! WE LOVE CLAUDIA THOUGH! She's a freakin rockstar.

Horrible service, the waitress are the worse, especially the short girl she was mad and they all talk bad like say bad words in front of the clients and give you dirty looks, I don't recommend going to this place, food is alright but the services they give you is really the worse it's like you're not paying for the service they give you..

Finding a hair in my food is definitely not appetizing.. not to mention how snobby the waitresses are.

If I could give this place no stars I would. First the restaurant needs attention from the health department there kitchen is nasty. Cross contamination between foods and no gloves while handling money and food. The waitress suck so much ass if you are not giving them tips they won't Acknowledge your table. I had pupusas and WOW just nasty. I will never step back into this place

I've never hated a restaurant more than this one!! I thought I'd give them another chance today. They don't care about the customer. They make you wait stupid amount of time to get a table when the tables are free... Waitress are so RUDE. They come to the table to check up on you - NEVER! You have to go up to them. They love rolling they eyes... They make me wanna cook at home.

The carne asada plate is delicious but the wait for the food can sometimes be long and if you try to order over the phone there is times when they are busy they will not pick up the phone

The food is beautiful and delicious. It's a nice place filled with local families and couples. Servers are the best! I like to drop by with guests.
