I had to write this review for dawn what a beautiful and very talented lady you are. My husband asked if we could take some photos of her gorgeous cakes and she was happy to let us.we had a lovely chat and had some of her fruit cake wow it was so delicious. We will definitely pop in again when we are in woodhall spa.xx

Dawn, you are honestly one of the most fascinating people me and Adrian have ever met! Today we had our cake tasting and designing of our cake with Dawn. We spent 2 hours laughing and listening to stories from throughout dawns life and career. It was such a pleasant afternoon we didn't want to leave, in fact I think Adrian would have stayed had I not picked my bag up haha! We can't wait to see our wedding cake next year and we both trust that it will be absolutely beautiful. Thank you so so much for this beautiful experience today, we will remember this cake tasting forever and we are excited to see you next year :)

The cake Dawn made looked amazing and tasted delicious! She created the cake I asked for down to the T! 100% would recommend and use her again!

Dawn created the most perfect cake I have ever laid my eyes on! In fact, I still can’t believe it was a cake - it tasted and looked absolutely incredible. Dawn planned my baby shower cake and listened to all my ideas and the finished product absolutely blew me away. Every single guest at the baby shower commented on what a show stopper the cake was. All I can say is, if you are looking for a perfectly designed cake that also tastes absolutely delicious, Dawn is who you need. Dawn was so thoughtful and considerate and truly put all of her energy and time into creating this masterpiece. Thank you so so much again, can’t wait to use you for my next cake!! cydney x

So, being new to the Skegness area and trying to organise a wedding was a job in itself. I obviously googled and found Dawn at Sophisticake. After speaking with Dawn and booking our wedding day I felt so happy and that was even before I read her blog on her website. We went along for an amazing cake tasting which my husband loved😂. We chose the lemon sponge, omg it was divine. We chose a two teir and I basically told Dawn the colours I'd like and basically some iced flowers and left it up to her. I loved not knowing what it would look like. Dawn even rang our florist and spoke to her about the flowers and the outcome was phenomenal. When Dawn dropped the cake off that morning I cried, it was stunningly beautiful. 5stars is so not enough. Thank you Dawn for being a massive contribution to our amazing day xx Cannot recommend enough!!!

Visited Sophisticake for the first time on 3 July 2014 with a friend. Beautiful cakes on display. Lovely chat with Dawn, who then asked if we would test a couple of cupcakes .. we tried rhubarb and custard, which she had made for a wedding where the request had been for 'something different' - they tasted fabulous. We also tried strawberry and then sticky toffee - also fabulous! THEN we tried her family recipe fruitcake, which is matured for six months - so moist and fruity. We had intended to have afternoon tea at the Petwood, but didn't need to after that! Lovely lady and great cakes!

Had a 1-1 training today, absolutely fantastic!! Such a lovely lady had a laugh and she has given me so much guidance in all aspects of cake decorating! Thank you again ! X
