Service was great! Nice atmosphere. The food was top notch! The wife and I will be back very soon! The calamari was in house made and very fresh. We ordered the specials, turkey lasagna 😋 and osso buco. They also had a nice wine selection. Also the flour less cake was right up there as well. Thanks for great food and a great time!

NEW OWNERS!!! I think the white pizza with pistachio and ham may be my favorite in all of Scottsdale. It tastes so good and isn’t heavy or salty. So good! My husband had the eggplant pasta and it was amazing. On another occasion, I had the gnocchi with shrimp and the flourless chocolate cake. Also, so good! Thank you Fernando and family for your hospitality and sharing your food!

Here it is. They have a few different pasta choices that are gluten-free and they also have gluten-free pizza. If need be some of us are gluten-free and others are not so it’s great to have these options. Most things are made from scratch. This place is decorated so cute. I love the bright lemon Italian colors.. Igor really took good care of us, we slid in and in and sat at the bar, we ordered a pizza. It was very good, tasty. We loved the flavor and the spice but we like our pizza crust to be crispy around bottom so we can actually pick it up, but that was so minor.. I just put it on my plate and cut it up.. I gotta say, I was pretty impressed at the pizza and the place is so bright, decorated well, the food was good. We met some regulars that go one to two times a week. Now, that’s pretty impressive. They’ve only been open for a little bit over eight months, but they already have regulars. Take notes because in the future, they will have plenty of outdoor seating when it cools down a bit. There is a 3.5% credit card charge, but not if you pay cash. I WOULD RECOMMEND

The place has new owners and my daughter and I decided to go check it out. Everything was perfect. From the hostess, to the servers, how clean the place was, menu, food, pizza crust and even the flavor of the tap water! Go check it out. We drove about 25 minutes and it was well worth it !

Google
Under new ownership since October- they just didn’t change the name- ignore the bad reviews from when they were under prior ownership. This place is a GEM. If you want true authentic Italian this is your place. It’s family owned - the kind of place you want to support. The food is incredible - everyone in the restaurant was enjoying their meal as we looked around. The owners are so attentive and want to interact with guests. The atmosphere is pleasant, calm, and comfortable. We had the short rib pasta (special not on the menu) - it was incredible. Not too rich but full of flavor. The mortadella pizza per Franchescos recommendation which was out of this world and the classic tiramisu which brought us right back to eating in Italy. We can’t wait to return!

Stopped by for the first time for a late lunch (or was it early dinner?). Nice neighborhood place, friendly staff, and very important; clean! We shared some burrata, a couple pizzas and some tagliatelle with meat sauce. Everything made in house. You can tell. Very authentic Italian, delicious. We will definitely be back.

Decided to pick up dinner at the last minute...it ended up being fabulous. Some of the best italian food we've had in phoenix. Pizza was delicious.Pasta was incredible. We even had the creme brulee

Google
This newly opened restaurant did not disappoint! From the excellent service to the mouthwatering homemade pasta and desserts! It was an exceptional experience! Be prepared to wait a little longer for the food but trust me, it’s worth the wait. When we got there it was a full house! Their Wood-burning oven pizza is still in the process of being installed and will be ready in two weeks. We can’t wait to go back and try their pizzas!

Yelp
We have been here 3-4 times since they opened and we have enjoyed every meal. I recently ordered takeout (pizza and salads) and it wasn't the same. Pizza needs to be eaten right away. Make a reservation it can get busy on the weekends. One of the best Italian places in the area, in my opinion. Try the beet salad...so good! Lots of parking, clean bathrooms, nice wine list.

Yelp
This spot is a hidden jem...don't tell anyone though...kidding - tell everyone to try this authentic Italian place SORRENTO off Pinnacle Peak & Scottsdale by Firehouse subs. My husband and I tried it the week we got back from Sorrento ITA and they nailed it! From the lemon decor to the wine to the red sauce...we loved it and ate here twice in two weeks! puoi portare qui i tuoi amici italiani, te lo prometto! Grazie!

Yelp
Ambiance was very nice. Real Italians run this place. The front end people were nice. Food was ready in 15 minutes. Red flag: it was empty on a Friday at 6:30. I spent a month in Italy and expected the same quality here. I was disappointed. I had the carbonara pasta, meatball appetizer, fried calamari and pistachio pesto seafood pasta and a pizza. It was nothing like what I had in Italy. $114 total was kind of high. The tastes of everything was bland. Maybe my expectations were too high. Pasta tasted like it was from Safeway. Sauces were not alive with flavor. Meatball texture was like a processed meatball at a cafeteria. Everything tasted like cheap cafeteria food. I was not happy. It was nothing like what I had in Italy. There are much better Italian restaurants in Scottsdale.

Yelp
Unreal! Best margherita pizza Neopolitan style I've had maybe anywhere in the valley. Dough is fluffy and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I'm sorry I didn't discover them sooner. Service was quick. Johnny and Felipe are rockstars. Look no further for a slice of Italy.

Yelp
So excited that there is new Italian up north. The pizza oven is working and the pizzas are brillant Ordered pizzas and melon with prosciutto. The melon was perfect and the prosciutto was not overly salty Can't wait to try a pasta dish

Yelp
Inspired by the great Yelp reviews, we checked out Sorrento, a new local eatery. While the pizza oven was not working (which was disappointing and not noted anywhere on the online menu, door, or print menus), the food we enjoyed here was great. My love enjoyed a bowl of minestrone and the Ravioli di Carne alla Crema di Pomodoro and I had a delicious mushroom soup and Tagliolini ai funghi. No pics of my food due to the low lighting- great for atmosphere, not ideal for food photos. The complimentary homemade crema di limoncello at the end of our meal was phenomenal. Bathroom was impeccable. Atmosphere is classy and romantic but many folks were dressed casually in sneakers and jeans. The only thing I did not appreciate was that the waiter seriously mansplained the menu to me, noting that the section of the menu marked salads showed the available salads and the section marked pasta showed the available pastas. Like I can't read or something? This place has a lot of potential and could be a five star spot once they get the pizza and ditch the mansplaining.

Yelp
New owners and it shows ... great service. SUPER clean and Ty food was amazing. True Italian !

Yelp
We made a reservation for a Friday night and this place was such a cute and authentic Italian gem! The whole vibe was warm and inviting, and the food definitely matched the feel. One of the coolest things? Their pizza dough doesn't use yeast, so it's lighter and you can really tell. Everything tasted super fresh. The kids ordered a cheese pizza and penne pasta with butter, parmesan, and added chicken, and they devoured it. We started with the Romana Salad, and the homemade dressing was light, tangy, and just so refreshing. We tried the Menabrea Blonde and Red beers (an Italian microbrew they had on draft!) and both were excellent, smooth, crisp, and went great with the food. Our server was awesome and helped explain the pizzas since not all of them come with red sauce. We ended up getting the Sorrento pizza and wow--the sauce had this perfect kick of spice that made every bite better than the last. Dessert was tough to pick because everything is made in-house by their pastry chef, but we went with the Nutella cake, and it was light, rich, and gone in minutes. We'll definitely be back! Great service, fresh food, and a lovely atmosphere all around.

Yelp
The new ownership is definitely doing its part in revamping a place that needed a little TLC. The food change most notably is absolutely incredible, the flavors they are putting together are nothing shy of amazing. I do like that they're making the place a bit warmer with the facelift and small decorative changes. The entire staff from the front of the house to the back of the house definitely are enjoying this new experience as everyone greeted and served our needs with smiles. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Very cozy atmosphere and service was on point! I liked sitting at the bar here. I waited for what felt like forever for this place to get their pizza oven up and running. Definitely worth the wait! Neapolitan style pizza. One of the best pizzas i have ever had if not the best. Sauce was very fresh and light! Cheese was just spot on. Crust OMG!!! I also had the meatballs and they were delicious. So soft and juicy. They taste like meat! Too many places use too many breadcrumbs and you can taste it. Not here. I can't wait to come back and try some pasta dishes. Highly recommended!!!!!

A. M.

Yelp
I have to leave another fantastic review. Consistently our go to Italian restaurant. LOVE the FOOD, welcoming vibe and atmosphere. Service was perfect! Thank you :)

Yelp
I rarely write reviews but after our experience last night I felt compelled to do so. Everything about this place is outstanding! The Neopolitan style pizza is the best in the Valley. We had the margherita and the Don Toto. The lasagna was beyond amazing, it is a must! Our friends had the gnocchi all'a Sorrentina and cioppino and they loved both dishes. The pasta is homemade and so are their desserts. Generous portions. Although we were stuffed we couldn't pass up dessert. We ordered Tiramisu and the Semifreddo mandorle. Both desserts were amazing. I never order Tiramisu but I will now! The service was awesome. Their homemade limoncello is also a must. I can't say enough good things about Sorrento. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We live 2 miles from this restaurant and Sept 20th 2025 was our first time there. We went about 7:30pm on a Friday night. There were 2 occupied tables by the bar and about three other people at the bar. The restaurant looked like it was clearing out. For not being super busy at the time, we waited for service longer than should have been. They were all concerned with washing glasses and running back and forth. I asked for a glass of pinot grigio and they were out of both labels that they had on the menu. My husband had a glass of chianti with a strange price on the bill of $12.88. I asked for Ketel vodka/soda in place of the wine and she only had grey goose. It was indeed, the smallest drink glass I've had in any bar. I had a grey goose and soda. The bartender, although pleasant was not attentive and seemed more concerned with the mess of dishes/glasses. We had a Margherita Pizza which came out pretty quick and was good but not great. We asked for a box as we didn't finish the pizza as we couldn't wait to get out of there. It was loud from staff clean up and felt dirty. Being in the restaurant and serving industry my entire life, I understand some places have an off night and would typically give it another chance. There was nothing about this experience that I would consider worth returning. Later after arriving home my husband looked at the itemized bill. I was charged $15.45 for the vodka and an additional $ 3.09 for straight up 1 1/2 shot. I did NOT have a martini. If I wanted to pay$18.54 for a grey goose and soda I'd go to a multitude of other places and get a martini for $2-3 more. A Belvedere Martini at The Belmont is $22. !!! This was ridiculous. We will not be returning to Sorrento it's just not for us. Best of luck to them.

Yelp
Good atmosphere with terrific food. We sat at the bar and service was spot on. Ordered the pizza and ravioli. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Try happy hour 25% off menu items.

Yelp
Try the Pizza Messi! Best cheese and sausage white pizza. Excellent service- loved it!

Yelp
We had a group of 8 for dinner on a Thursday night. I arrived a little early and was shown right to the table. No "we have to wait for the rest of your party" garbage. The host (who might have been the manager or owner) was incredibly friendly and nice. He took my drink order and very quickly brought me a large bottle of San Pellegrino. The restaurant was very beautifully decorated with a yellow theme throughout and nice pictures and mirrors on the walls. The pizzaiolo was in the middle of the room, so you could watch him work his magic. The rest of party arrived and he took our orders. He was able to remember the orders of eight people without writing anything down - impressive. I've seen other restaurant servers try to do that and something always gets screwed up. Not here. All orders arrived as requested. Several of our party ordered the ravioli, which looked really good. No complaints from the recipients. The lady next to me ordered the burrata appetizer. It was a beautiful ball of burrata, some delicious looking tomatoes, a very flavorful pesto and wilted arugula. That was disappointing. They had a nice selection of pizzas and pastas, so it took a minute to decide between them. I eventually opted for a pasta - Tortelli Panna prosciutto e Piselli. The portion was plenty big and was very delicious. The cream sauce was not too thick or overpowering and the housemade tortellini were tender and delicious. The only issue was, as an Italian, I like to "fare la scarpetta" (mop up sauce with some good bread). Unfortunately, there WAS no bread served with the pastas. Finally, we received the check. More and more restaurants are starting to charge "junk fees." This one charges extra if you use a credit card. I'm sorry - most people use credit cards these days. The less than 3% fee is a tax-deductible cost of doing business. Charging this to the customer is incredibly tacky and was a sour ending to an otherwise wonderful evening.

Yelp
First visit. Wen with a couple of friends. They do not take reservations now, but would not be surprised if that changes because the food here is awesome. I chose on site noodles with a marinara and sliced beef. The noodles were thick and hearty and the space was very well done with perfect spices. We had three of the deserts-all are made on site and were exceptional . We will be back !!

Yelp
Amazing Italian Pizza! Mateo is from Italy and makes pizza like it should be! Igor is a great waiter for Sorrento!
google avatar

Kristen L.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food! I felt like a was back in Italy. This is authentic, right down to the owner (?) speaking Italian, not the "put on" kind of Italian... but real, fussy Italian! I'm so excited this is in the neighborhood, it's going to be a hit for sure!
google avatar

G B.

Yelp
First time there. Went for lunch and sat outside. Igor was a great host and suggested great food beverage pairings. The white pizza was simply amazing and paired well with the Menabrea Amber.
google avatar

Danilo S.

Yelp
Great experience, I'll be there again soon. Ambiance ok, food good, pizza very authentic Neapolitan style. Thanks
google avatar

A B.

Yelp
The pizza oven is live! And let me tell you it's some of the very best pizza I've ever had. The crust, the sauce , the ingredients are first rate. No need to travel to Europe anymore when you can have Neapolitan pizza right in your backyard in Scottsdale. Super friendly service by Igor and Matteo!
google avatar

Gregory C.

Yelp
Love the staff and the service! Igor is my favorite waiter-right out of Veneto! They make real pizza, from a real pizza oven, cooked with a real fire. They have a wide array of dishes. High quality, unpretentious, everyday Italian cuisine. Don't let the strip mall fool you. Once you've entered, you'll be in Italy. At least your mouth will.

Richard M.

Yelp
Stick with the Pizza and you'll be alright. Warning this place is over priced for the quality and taste. Started out with their Caesar salad. Room temp lettuce and a terrible sour tasting dressing served in a silver cup. Probably the worse I ever had! Had the homemade Orechetta which was not cooked properly I wouldn't call it el dente it was pretty hard and chewy. Taste was OK on the salty side though. To many Good Italian restaurants in Scottsdale I prefer. Just my opinion. Like I said the Pizza is very good.
google avatar

Reena R.

Yelp
FYI the actual name of this restaurant is Limonce, with a cute lemon theme. I tried to make a reservation online but the website reservation page does not work so I had to call. We were looking forward to dinner here as I kept seeing great reviews on our Nextdoor app. Granted the service is great, our server was very friendly and quick. However, we were disappointed because the have tons of delicious looking pizzas on their website and I didn't see any mention that the pizza oven is not use at this time. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time, we were told as we checked in. The food is mediocre. Would not recommend the trio bruschetta. The flavors were a bit odd (bacon marmalade sounded delicious but not so much). The mozzarella in the caprese tasted old. The gnocchi zola was ok, the big chunks of ham were a bit chewy and cheese sauce was salty. The best dish was the tagliatelle, the pasta tasted home cooked and al dente just how we like it. Maybe we didn't choose the right dishes but we are somewhat turned off by the unappetizing appetizers and no pizza!
google avatar

Caily T.

Yelp
Delicious, authentic Italian Food right in North Scottsdale. We have made 2 visits to this hidden gem and both times walked away full and happy. The Burrata appetizer, pasta fagioli soup, pizzas, and Caserecce Cremose are some of our favorites. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Make a point to try Sorrento!
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
What a fantastic place. Tortellini were fantastic and the cappuccino was brilliant. Staff was friendly and helpful too. The best thing we tried was the crème lemon cello. Homemade and very dangerous. We will be back to try their pizzas!
google avatar

Shannon T.

Yelp
Delicious! Very attentive service and the fresh pasta was very good. I got the mushroom pasta and it had a great rich flavor without being overwhelming. My friend had the tortellini which was also good, but the menu said it had green beans but really it has peas which she didn't like. They should change the menus to reflect the actual ingredients. Both the tiramisu and crème brûlée were delicious, but I thought a pinch over priced.

Brian R.

Yelp
Popped in for a couple glasses of vino and ended up having the Arancine di Sicily and it was amazing. The vino was on par then I ordered a pie to go and had them make me a Diavola and again very good. Service was spot on and very accommodating. I'll be back.

Linda C.

Yelp
Manager Igor is not a pleasant person by any means! This reason alone is enough to keep me and my friends away from this place!
google avatar

Darlene H.

Yelp
Sorrento has become a weekly stop for me! The pizza is perfect with an amazing crust, and every dessert we've tried has been a hit!

Colby P.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants in north scottsdale. Definitely our new favorite.
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
Peg and I had a carry out meal from here and it was very good! Pizza was still hot and tasty and the flavors were great! Would return for regular eat-in meal as well!

Carroll B.

Yelp
North Scottsdale gem. Excellent service. Scrumptious pizza and a profiterole dessert to die for.
google avatar

Erica T.

Yelp
This is my new favorite restaurant. I've been home sick for the food in Italy, and this place brings me right back. Their ingredients are imported from Italy, so I can eat the pizza and pasta no problem. My favorite dish is the penne alla vodka con salmone. I also love the vegetarian lasagna and have been told by six different people how their meat lasagna is the best they've ever had (I don't eat meat so I'm taking their word for it). I love the Italian waitstaff and cooks, so friendly and professional. Looking forward to going back tomorrow!
google avatar

Leslie M.

Yelp
I stopped by for lunch and found the restaurant quite charming. However, the service was just okay, and the food left much to be desired. The eggplant was overly salty, making it inedible. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Trish S.

Yelp
5+ Stars - Authentic Italian Gem in North Scottsdale! We are so happy we found this little place! As frequent travelers to Italy, we're always on the lookout for truly authentic Italian cuisine--and Sorrento Italian Restaurant absolutely delivers. Every dish we tried was exceptional: the ravioli, lasagna, pasta fagioli, meatballs, and pizza were all top-notch. You can taste the passion and tradition in every bite. The flavors are rich, the portions generous, and the ingredients fresh and high-quality. By far the best Italian food we've had in North Scottsdale. Bravo, Sorrento's--grazie mille for such an amazing dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

Will R.

Yelp
Came in for possible Happy hour but no such luck on that, nothing on special from bar during afternoon. Guy behind bar w/ ponytail nice enough but constantly whistled to the music playing and with an absolutely empty restaurant made for an annoying short stay. Also the bar seats are too close to the bar and unmovable so that was awkward as well. Wanted to eat but decided otherwise and went to our standby the Italian daughter just north and it never disappoints. Oh well, another restaurant crossed off the list.

melinda h.

Yelp
We just had a late lunch at this new spot and it was incredibly good! we each had different Panini's each with a small side salad and out what we thought was a very reasonable price. we cannot wait to return to sample menu and pizzas! The food was wonderful and the service was incredible!

D S.

Yelp
The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good ambiance. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We ordered calamari which was a good sized portion and fried to perfection. My husband enjoyed the choppino however, the Troccoli Chitarra con Brasciole was not good. The meat sauce was ok but the thick homemade spaghetti was so dense and tasteless. The fact that it was served barely al-dente did not help. The combination of both made it taste almost dry. Our server was attentive however, when he came to wipe the table after clearnig it with a wet rag I had to hold my breath. The rag had a VERY strong smell of throw up to the point where we held our breath while he was "cleaning." He then threw the smelly rag in the cabinet near our table.
google avatar

Cheri H.

Yelp
Service and food excellent. Ambiance charming and we were not rushed. Will definitely return

Jody G.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our meal and the service was fantastic!!!! Will definitely stop in again on a future trip to Scottsdale!

Yelp
I have been to Sorrento for dinner and once for lunch. It was impressive for both. The food is excellent and they have a knowledgeable and very personable waitstaff. The restaurant has a very nice feel and in my opinion it is among the best choices for Italian food in the North Scottsdale area.

Pat J.

Yelp
Ordered takeout, pizza was okay but soggy and floppy. Burrata salad was very good . Mushroom soup was good as well. Will give them another try just not for pizza. Cute place but not cheap either.

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Did a take order this evening. The host was not friendly at all. Did not say hi, welcome, or how can I help you. Just stared at me. He brought my order after I asked for it. I said thank you and asked for Parmesan. He said that would be an extra charge. I was shocked and questioned him. He again said it was a charge. I pointed at the tables and said if someone asks for grated Parmesan for their pizza you're going to charge them? And he said "it's the owner's thing." What Italian place charges for Parmesan cheese!!!! I walked out and told my husband we're never coming back. I wasn't expecting much from the food given the service but the pizza was actually really good. The bruschetta was ok. Not the best but not the worst. The meatballs were not good. The texture on the outside was like they had been sitting in a pot for hours. Overall I'd say food is decent but service is not.

Rick S.

Yelp
Food was very good. I had salmon with a side of pasta. Service was excellent, friendly. The ambience was ok but not great compared to other Italian restaurants in area. Prices are competitive
