We made a reservation for a Friday night and this place was such a cute and authentic Italian gem! The whole vibe was warm and inviting, and the food definitely matched the feel.
One of the coolest things? Their pizza dough doesn't use yeast, so it's lighter and you can really tell. Everything tasted super fresh. The kids ordered a cheese pizza and penne pasta with butter, parmesan, and added chicken, and they devoured it.
We started with the Romana Salad, and the homemade dressing was light, tangy, and just so refreshing. We tried the Menabrea Blonde and Red beers (an Italian microbrew they had on draft!) and both were excellent, smooth, crisp, and went great with the food.
Our server was awesome and helped explain the pizzas since not all of them come with red sauce. We ended up getting the Sorrento pizza and wow--the sauce had this perfect kick of spice that made every bite better than the last.
Dessert was tough to pick because everything is made in-house by their pastry chef, but we went with the Nutella cake, and it was light, rich, and gone in minutes.
We'll definitely be back! Great service, fresh food, and a lovely atmosphere all around.
