"This take-out only shop in Capitol Hill is the perfect pitstop to add a little magic to your morning coffee and pastry routine. Inside, you'll find the prettiest raspberry rose macarons, almond croissants that leave you dusted in powdered sugar after the first bite, and savory cardamom buns that'll make your dentist proud, knowing you've opted for something a little less sugary." - Omnia Saed

Souk was the perfect location for my co-workers and I to have lunch. The atmosphere was so welcoming. We are from Detroit and really enjoyed our meal here! The food was fantastic and our server Martinique was even better! I’m vegetarian and there were so many delicious options for me to choose from. I will definitely make the trip in the future to come back and visit this unique restaurant!

My husband and I visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and sat on the patio. Busy but no wait. Server was attentive and food was delicious! I got a fresh tasting chicken/feta/spinach/tomato wrap and we shared a Spicy Feta with pita chips appetizer. So good! 10/10

Google
Absolute gem. This was my third time going to souk after not having been for two years, and let me tell you, it's just as phenomenal now as it was then. The service is always spectacular, and my lunch yesterday was no exception. Sitting at the bar, I was greeted and served by Nikki, who really made my meal even more special with some great conversation and great service. I can't wait to go back and see her again. BTW, order the local juniper american red ale. It's very good. As always this restaurant has put together some amazing dishes. The katfa egg rolls were outstanding, as was the lamb shank gyro. My only gripe was not trying something new from the lunch menu. I finished off my lunch with the Baklava cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious. Please don't sleep on the turkish coffee. Fantastic as always. I'll be back in a couple days for dinner before I leave town. Maybe once more after that too!

Not too many places over-deliver anymore, Souk does. It was an impromptu solo date after yoga. Treated myself to something light. Usually I wouldn’t want to sit directly by the kitchen, but the vantage point I had of all the ordered selections definitely inspired me to return! Decent portion sizes with all the vibrant colors of standard Mediterranean fare in a dimly lit downtown atmosphere playing lo-fi and alternative heat through the speakers: yes. Cassandra was amazing, anticipated my needs and made excellent suggestions. Soon to return!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We’d give Souk more stars if we could, what an incredible dining experience!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our party of five had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. We sampled a variety of dishes, starting with the special appetizer lamb lollipops, crispy calamari, and two incredible hummus options—crispy short rib hummus and smoked paprika hummus. Each bite was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, we enjoyed the chicken bandiera pizza, butternut squash ravioli with crispy short rib, mushroom risotto, Mediterranean chicken, and beef tenderloin medallions. Every dish was outstanding, making it impossible to pick a favorite. The balance of flavors, textures, and seasonings showcased the kitchen’s attention to detail and creativity. Dessert was just as memorable! We shared the baklava cheesecake, pistachio chocolate bar with pistachio ice cream, and the crème brûlée—each one a perfect sweet ending to our meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was extraordinary (ty Brooke), making the entire experience even more enjoyable. We cannot wait to return and explore more of the menu! Highly recommend Souk for an unforgettable dining experience in Toledo’s Warehouse District.

Google
Everything was fantastic! I absolutely loved the Turkish iced coffee and the vegetable lentil soup. The Mediterranean chicken was incredible, paired with perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful garlic wine sauce. The Margherita pizza was spot-on too. My friend ordered the classic hummus and the Seafood Cioppino, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. We wouldn’t change a thing. So delicious! Got crème brûlée for dessert and it was tasty. So glad we made a spontaneous stop in Toledo and found this gem on our way back to Detroit!

Google
Awesome restaurant. The croissant French toast was unbelievable, according to my wife's, along with the fried artichoke hearts. I had the Roasted Waygu bone marrow appetizer and the Tunisian Power bowl with lamb and Harrissa. Frigging great!! I can't wait to go hack.

Google
Very nice upscale place with a chill vibe. I came here specifically for the Cioppino and it did not disappoint! Casandra took very good care of me and I will be back! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Definitely an interesting take on Mediterranean food. You can tell the recipes are inspired, but all have a modern American twist. Personal favorites were the halloumi and the chicken Madeira flatbread. Everything was cooked to perfection, Service was wonderful and fast even though my group arrived late on a Saturday night. Staff was so kind and friendly.

Yelp
I came with a group after work for an early dinner. For shared appetizers we had bqcon-wrapped dates and hummus. For an entree I had Wild Boar Bolognese (pasta) and my companions had fish and something with either Lamb testicles or meatballs. All the food was well prepared and delicious; even the balls. Portion sizes were reasonable and prices expensive but on par with other fine restaurants in Toledo. The hostess gave us a pretty sucky table near the kitchen, but the rest of the dining room was very warm and attractive. Our server had a bothersome attitude when he was unsuccessful with the upsell on drinks and sides. But when we ordered dessert he became a reasonable human being again. Finally, we each had a dessert as mentioned. One baklava, one affogato, and I got the Baklava cheesecake. They were beautiful in presentation and good in flavor and texture but not exceptional. Of course not knowing what an affogato is supposed to taste like, and what exactly is contained in the creamy combination, the thing might have been extraordinary. If it contained lamb ingredients like so many of the other menu items at Souk then it was out of this world. We had a nice time, good company and good food. If the waiter hadn't pressured us to get drinks and other items, and the hostess had given us a better table in the 1/4 empty dining room, the evening would have been a perfect business dinner. It is also a good place for a romantic evening with your significant other.

Yelp
Cocktails and wine list is great. Creative menu and prepared deliciously - we enjoyed our meals and will continue make this a stop when we visit Toledo!

Maisha R.

Yelp
Souk continues to be a Toledo favorite! We are always quickly seated with attentive service, and the interior is spacious. The different loaded hummus options are amazing - most recently we had the crispy short rib and we loved it!

Dale L.

Yelp
The food is amazing here. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Toledo. Right up there with Keego. Fresh, elegant, well prepared Mediterranean dishes. We haven't had a dish we didn't like. I would also strongly recommend their brunch: service is always top notch and the restaurant is beautiful and modern. If you're lucky you'll get a booth across from where they plate the food. You get to see everything on the menu that way.

Caitlyn C.

Yelp
This place is incredible, everything I've had here is delicious. I ordered a blood orange margarita (yummy) and the butternut squash ravioli w short rip. So so good, short rib was so tender the ravioli super tender. Their hummus is wonderful as well. Super cute interior, cozy and warm low light. Service was good as well, a must visit in Toledo!

Lexi M.

Yelp
I've heard raving reviews about this place and my fiancé made reservations for us to go for my birthday celebration. It did not disappoint! The cocktail menu was absolutely devine. The different liquors and flavors were really interesting and the ones I ordered (Emotionally Unavailable & The Bartenders Number) were amazing. Since we were going out later we ordered couple appetizers. The bone marrow was good but the Duck and Street Corn Sambousek was the best I've tasted. This place really has some different and great flavors. This is now my favorite restaurant in Toledo.

Danielle V.

Yelp
I am literally writing this review from my booth inside souk! This is a DEFINITELY stop if you are in Toledo! Great vibes. Super nice and helpful wait staff. Great menu and wonderful wine and cocktail options. I ended up getting the short rib hummus, which was a HUGE portion, served with homemade pita. The shortrib is delicious and falls apart it's so tender. I also got the grape leaves, which were super flavorful! The spices used *chefs kiss*. Lastly, I got the calamari steaks --- SO good, perfectly done and the sauce that went with them was the perfect mix of spicy and flavor. Will definitely be coming back if in the area!

Ashley H.

Yelp
Souk is a gem! I'm so glad we found this place in Toledo. The food is soooo good. Literally EVERYTHING we got was so good. The servers were attentive and kept us refilled with water and pita bread. Also, u just love the names of the drinks even though I didn't have one. The two people who had drinks said they were really good. The vibe is nice and lively, but not loud. I'll definitely be going back when I'm in town.

Dustin H.

Yelp
An interesting thing about Souk, unlike many restaurants that get complacent once they've established themselves, Souk continues to expand both its menu offerings and the quality of execution. It's gotten to the point where every time I visit (today included) I have SUCH a hard time deciding what to order because there are SO many interesting flavor and ingredient combinations to try, that I start thinking about my NEXT visit before I have even ordered for the current one. Long story short, Souk is fantastic.

Nick A.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Moussa at an event at the Toledo Zoo. He is an amazing chef and brings that love to Souk. Great atmosphere and great service for my group of 8 people. We tried several items off the menu and everyone loved them all. Can't recommend chef's restaurant enough!

Dawn V.

Yelp
Fabulous experience last week!!! The hummus with vegetables and pita (pick any hummus- all good!), the quinoa salad (like tabouli but with quinoa) and the Double DARE cocktail: wow! We sat on the patio- beautiful day and service was absolutely stellar

Dawn C.

Yelp
My absolute favorite in Toledo! I say go with all appetizers! They are amazing not to mention all the various hummus options!

Jess G.

Yelp
On our way back from Detroit, we decided to stop for a quick lunch at Souk Mediterranean Kitchen and Bar, a cute small bar/restaurant in Toledo. We ordered the classic Hummus & Dip appetizer: za'atar-seasoned pita-vegetable crudité, herb-roasted tomato, and Smoked Paprika butter. The main meal was the Greek Burger and Wild Mushroom Risotto; we washed everything down with Red Lebanese. It was a great lunch experience.

Eric O.

Yelp
First of all , I would not have chosen this restaurant, but my coworkers wanted to eat here. It is a very small restaurant. It is very busy and appears to be very well ran. My coworkers started with some hors d'oeuvres. They were not part of my diet plan so I had to pass. I ended up getting a wedge salad and a piece of grilled chicken. I thought my food was very good and I enjoyed it, my coworkers had some sort of dish with lamb in it. They really loved their appetizers and courses. They also had wine and really enjoyed the selection. Sorry, I'm not much of a foodie, as I usually just go to steak and chicken places. But I did try something new and it was pretty good.

Shawn P.

Yelp
The good: atmosphere is very cool, modern decor with the exposed brick of the old building. The bar is nice, and the drinks are fantastic. The food depends on taste, In most cases. 2 guests and we both thought the hummus was "good". The French onion soup was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the jumbo shrimp entree... i shared a bite, and the other party found them "ok". The bad: a Kafka eggroll appetizer impressed neither of us...dry, yet greasy..and odd tasting. Both agreed we would never order those again. The Kafka dinner was not well received either, they said they've had it much better at many other restaurants. The "forbidden black rice" was ordered to share, and i thought it was WAY too spicy to eat, and they didn't like the flavor. The ugly: the bill was $160...before tip. So this was a $200 dinner. We both agreed to spend that on dinner, we'd have preferred Mancy's or any of the other "high end" restaurants in Toledo, also considering that for Mediterranean in this area there are a bounty of better options for half that price.

Jim K.

Yelp
The taste of all the food had several levels because of morrocan.i loved it a nice surprise

Julia V.

Yelp
Where to even begin on this culinary adventure? Souk has a great atmosphere, nice and chill but still refined. The food is some of the best in Toledo. There wasn't a single thing our table didn't like. Our server Nikki was great, catered to us the whole time in a timely manner and checked up on us regularly (table of 6). She suggested many fantastic recommendations that we took to heart and boy are we glad we did. We started with drinks. If you are sober or a non-alcoholic drinker, you'll be happy to hear they have Stella Artois Liberté which has an ABV of 0.0. We were also informed that the bartender will make their best attempt to replicate any cocktails as mocktails! Another in our party ordered the dragon fruit infused vodka cocktail and stated it was very refreshing and light. Now onto the food! To start we ordered the bacon wrapped dates and stuffed grape leaves. Great texture and flavor on both. The butternut squash ravioli was divine- smooth but still a great firm pasta, the most buttery sauce chock full of flavor, and topped with herbed goat cheese and toasted sliced almonds. Another in our party ordered the filet mignon and was not disappointed. Cooked to perfection, you can tell they put extra care and attention into their craft. Other orders from our party were the Moroccan lamb wrap, Short Stuff burger, and French onion soup. All amazing and worth the order as you definitely get your money's worth here with great portion sizes and presentation. Dessert could not be left out once we knew how good we had it here! The crème brûlée was on point, VERY flavorful vanilla custard and perfectly torched top crust. If you are keen on baklava you will, again, not be disappointed by the portions here as the baklava is HUGE! With their semi-exposed kitchen you might even catch a glimpse of them preparing sheets of phyllo on a commercial baking sheet like we did. Very fun to watch :) If you are a fan of Mediterranean, American, or just plain good food, Souk has it all! Don't miss out on this hidden gem, Toledo!

Kerry M.

Yelp
Found Souk, thanks to Yelp! A somewhat upscale bar / dining. Very popular to say the least. Food selections were far beyond any gastropub expectations. Food quality was exceptional. A bit pricey, but for the quality, it's worth a splurge now and again. Service was very good, and the ambiance was welcoming and had a good vibe. Located right across the street from the Toledo Farmers Market and a good stopping point on your way to, or from, a Mud Hens game.

Ally H.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for a quick drink and some lunch. Full service available at the bar. Bartender was super great and friendly and drinks were awesome. Ordered mussels which were pretty good, but a little full flavored if that's your preference. Ordered a dessert (crème brûlé) which was delicious ; seemed all desserts are made in house. Overall super happy with experience & would definitely return to try more. Restaurant has great vibes and cool ambiance/designing. Food/Drinks 4.5/5 Service : 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5

Michelle M.

Yelp
Was in town for work and a friend found this restaurant on none other than Yelp. I'm so glad we came! Everything was delicious and our waitress gave great recommendations and we weren't rushed. The cocktail menu was on point -I only wish I had tried more! Restaurant was clean and we could tell the staff takes pride in the operation. The food was delicious and well presented and full of flavor. Will find my way back here for sure!

Susan S.

Yelp
Love this place. Quaint, boho, very cute. Love the cool old warehouse area of Toledo. Super Funky! Super Yummy.... Fun, quirky and just the right kind of buzz here!

Chris O.

Yelp
Shrimp special and Turkish rack of lamb were exquisite. The bacon wrapped dates are to die for! Friendly, great service. A Must for anyone who loves good food and drink.

Hanan R.

Yelp
I was SO excited to try this place out but it did NOT live up to all the hype. Actually, the whole family came out to have dinner here together for the first time and we were all left pretty disappointed. The lamb hummus and the pita it was served with was the best thing they had, but everything else needed seasoning and seemed overpriced for what we actually got. I don't think any of us would want to come back.

Kent M.

Yelp
RobJ and myself In with reservations after some arranged flight training I had Octopus and he the shrimp. Also had a vanilla gelato. Asparagus as my side added. My favorite octopus dinner experience of the few I've had.

Mohamed A.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Handed me the food without saying anything while looking away. Also, no one acknowledged me for a while when I walked in. Great food though!

Sarah R.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here for a late dinner after the Erie street night market and had a great ending to a great date night. We were able to get a table when we walked in, which was a miracle because it was very crowded inside and on their patio. It's definitely a date night spot with the decor and lighting. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. My husband ordered the short rib pizza and it was fantastic. I asked the server to help me decide and I took her suggestion of the spicy Italian flatbread and it was delicious! I'm not a huge pepperoni or sausage on pizza fan and their combination worked. We also ordered a side of the seasonal risotto and it was amazing. It just melted.

ansley c.

Yelp
greatt place but two weeks ago their risotto was one of the best things I've eaten in Toledo. Tonight, heavy and incredibly bland: flavorless rice porridge with way too much salt. Step it up, Moussa

Dave W.

Yelp
Went tonight Wed. Nice to see Toledo changing old bad buildings into restaurants etc. The food here was so salty and not even close to as good as we were told. Big menu. Our calamari was mush. Some of our other food was a bit dry and kinda burnt. Cocktails were ok. Expensive and not super balanced. Our server was close to terrible. She was all over and took forever to order anything.

Chris D.

Yelp
We stopped in for Saturday brunch. Our server, Gabe, was excellent! I tried the kafta and eggs and it was cooked to perfection. We sat outside as the weather was beautiful. We were part of a party of seven and Gabe did a good job of checking in with us. The shakahuka was ordered by one of us and was excellent as usual. This is a great local restaurant with ample parking around the area. We typically visit the Farmer's Market next door first and then walk over. If you're in downtown Toledo, give them a try!

Client 9.

Yelp
The food was quite good. Both of us got the cacio e pepe pasta dish, I had two beers, and we split a salted-caramel gelato dessert. The service (James) was good, as well. The booth was pretty tight, though, esp. for four people, and we agree with other commenters that Souk is a bit overpriced. That said, a good experience overall, and we'd go back.

Brian V.

Yelp
This place is the best for great service and ambiance not to be surpassed by their food.

April V.

Yelp
Love love love this place! The food is absolutely phenomenal, the service is top notch, and the ambiance is cozy and inviting! If you like Mediterranean or want to try if you haven't yet- this is your place! The drinks are so good here! Changing with the seasons and always paired up with the right ingredients and flavors I have tried multiple menu options and there's not one I don't like! The flavor of everything will entice you!

Alyssa L.

Yelp
I love this place. I've been three times, twice for brunch (Saturdays only) and once for lunch, and it has never missed. I have ordered this couscous skillet and whatever spices that are in there is amazing. I would definitely recommend this item and the stuffed grape leaves. They also have delicious cocktails (personal favorite is the pear spritzer). Their patio is also dog friendly. I can't wait to return!

Kyle C.

Yelp
Tonight, I enjoyed one of the best meals I have had, in the Toledo area. Filled with perfectly braised lamb and warm, soothing flavors, the Lamb Ragu was perfect. My compainions loved their salmon and bolagnese. Our hummus with carmelized onion and smoked paprika was interesting and delectable. The food at Souk keeps getting better. Attention to details - food and service - make this restaurant a true Toledo gem.

Brittney C.

Yelp
Not my first trip to Souk and it was delicious as always! We went for my sons birthday who turned 2. He smashed the kids pasta and red sauce. I enjoyed the lunch special lobster roll on a croissant. It was so good I wanted 5 more. My husband enjoyed a specialty burger and was happy. Lunch is amazing, dinner is amazing. I have never had a bad experience dinning here!

Baylee G.

Yelp
We came for dinner and it was excellent! We loved all of our dishes. Very romantic ambiance with candles at every table. We sat right by the food station where all the food goes out, but we rather liked it because we got to see every dish and tried to guess what each one was. We called the day of and we're able to get a reservation for 2. The service was good, we were able to get through drinks, an appetizer, main course, and dessert in about an hour. Would definitely recommend!

Salomon W.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. This are of Toledo was empty. Maybe not a lot people are back in offices, but the streets were empty. I saw two guys weed wacking parking areas, and didn't see two pedestrians. When I walked into Souk I was given a table, and a waitress came over, greeted me, served me cold water, and took my order. I chose a Moroccan lamb wrap, which was served with great chips and was delicious. When I didn't order dessert, suddenly the waitress treated me as if I had a communicable disease. I didn't see a sign that I was required to order dessert. I still left her a 3 buck tip, when she finally came back to my table (not sure if she was expecting me to leave her the 4 bucks in change). Attitude matters, and it counts, and this waitress lost. I'm not from Toledo, but good manners are universal, and this waitress didn't have good manners.

Ryan E.

Yelp
Went for the first time this week and was back two days later! I'm vegetarian and my family is not, and at Souk we all have plenty of options.

Kristy Y.

Yelp
Delicious and great service. Our waiter was attentive and nice. Atmosphere was good and would love to sit outside next time. We got the hummus plate, kafta egg rolls, and butternut squash ravioli. The ravioli is a must get. The sauce was creamy and tasted amazing. I got it with two jumbo shrimps. Perfect amount. The shrimp was so good and had a crispy outside. Can't wait to go back!

Stacie D.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal. Everything was perfect, from the food and drinks to the service. We will definitely be back!

Aaron A.

Yelp
4.8 stars - friendly staff, good food, portions a bit small (but this is likely a good thing). The Turkish tea and drinks were on point! Food came out in good time was well prepped and the staff was friendly. Not much knowledge about the cuisine itself (culture) but they were trying to learn, which is great.

Vanessa H.

Yelp
Second time dining here and I'm equally as impressed with everything as I was the first time. Whether you're out on a date night, having dinner with friends, or just looking for a new place to try, Souk has such a unique and elegant menu that adds a twist to some classic dishes. Excellent food, fabulous atmosphere that's got cool lighting and decor/seating, and great service from knowledgeable staff. Two thumbs up and 10/10 recommend!

Khadhra B.

Yelp
Food is amazing drinks are lit. Service is fast and top notch. The ambiance and atmosphere is epic and nice. Thanks for the high quality and great presentation you provide. This is food art

Greg T.

Yelp
Great Saturday brunch. Love the patio and turkish coffee. Nice patio and have always had great, friendly service. As a downtown resident I wish they had bike parking

Douglas D.

Yelp
My favorite Toledo restaurant. Tonight to celebrate my retirement. We split a romaine wedge salad. It was excellent. Then I had their butternut squash ravioli with three shrimps. Probably the best meal in town. And did I mention they have a decent craft beer menu. Tonight was Dragon's Milk Reserves S'Mores. Excellent.

Zac H.

Yelp
Amazing destination. Was brought here by a very special soul who praised everything about this place. All staff are exceptional. The food is so fantastic we ordered more than we should have and it took us awhile + some Old Fashioneds and a Coffee beer to get throught it. The employee recommended the Pita BLT...do that. She also made exceptional beverages and had allllll the recommendations. The owner came to the bar and chatted with us for some time. Just a sweetheart and kind soul to be around...truly exceptional and nice gentleman who shared with us his love of food and his past experiences in the restaurant business. Thank you. See you at 11AM tomorrow

Erin E.

Yelp
On a Tuesday night you wouldn't expect service to be painfully slow... but it was. We ordered multiple (cold) appetizers including grape leaves that are made in advance and the first of the food didn't hit the table for 45 minutes- AFTER we actually had the opportunity to put in our order another 15 minutes). The grape leaves were good (not great but solid) and the goat cheese honey roasted carrots were decent but we couldn't even eat the kibbeh. There was zero bulgar in the Kibbeh and the lamb was severely under seasoned (to the point we took one bite and just decided to take it home to season in an effort to salvage it). The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL. Both stars are for the ambience to be honest. The whole experience was lacking from the underwhelming bland food to the PAINFULLY slow service. I expect dinner to take a while on a Friday or Saturday night... But on a Tuesday at 6:45 PM???? It wasn't crowded... there wasn't a line out the door but it was just SLOW from putting in our order all the way to when the food was delivered. You don't expect to wait 45 minutes for hummus and grape leaves and RAW lamb. We love ordering a bunch of small plates to share when we dine out... there's something leisurely and enjoyable about a table full or appetizers and sides. I was so excited to check this place out. I spent 200$ on a 50$ gift certificate for a benefit/auction. I'm glad at least most of my money went to a good cause. Not sure if this was just an off night with so many positive reviews...

Yelp
The first thing you notice when you enter Souk restaurant is the ambiance . The elegance . The low lighting for and intimate experience with the people you are dining with. The staff service are very knowledge with how the food is prepared and the details wine selection . When in comes to the food it's my favorite restaurant in the Detriot/ Toledo area .
