Awesome! Fresh fruit and vegetables. everywhere! Good prices! We bought four cantaloupes for $12 a basket of large tomatoes for $5, prices may vary because there are several different vendors. Also, they have a place for flowers and shrubs. I didn't have time to look there. 🙂

Always a great experience, supporting your local farmers and enjoying the seasonal fruits and vegetables

Google
Rating totally depends on when you go. I usually go for the produce and plants. In the summer, there's only 2-3 places open. What they have is terrible. Plants are nearly dead, leggy, and unwatered. Some things were discounted but the discount was so small it wasn't worth buying anything. The plants they did have for $1 were actually dead. Won't be back until the fall and won't go in mid-summertime again. Waiting until the Plant and Flower Festival when it's a 5-star event.

So many fun fall items to choose from! And got some delicious apples, sweet potatoes and honey. Great deals on plants!

Google
Lyle, owner of Seafood Express is very knowledgeable and helpful with anything seafood. Went above and beyond to make me a happy customer.

Google
Great produce but prices are a little high this year.

Google
Really fresh local, in season produce, ornamental and edible plants. Don’t expect the produce section of your favorite grocery store. Only what’s in season. Prices are good to reasonable depending on the vendor. I got some tomatoes from Muñoz farms that were very flavorful, way better than what I could get from a grocery store.

Google
Worth the drive if you are able to go to support local farmers, get some of the best priced and best quality organic produce and a great variety of vendors. Its also very accessible as you can drive up to the vendor stands and have the option of exploring the market on foot or not. There’s also a friendly rooster.

Yelp
Good Lord, So Good! So many colors & foods & Candy & biscuits & puppies. Such a lovely experience. Some of my favorite booths were fresh flower bouquets, fish tacos, homemade biscuits, scones & grits. Lavender cookies, various fresh juices, lemonades. The avacado toast lady was a bit rude, but the other booths were lovely and had lovely offerings of food and art. The craftsman ship in the leather made goods and homemade jewelry were divine. I loved the different shaped cross necklaces and charm sizes. Musicians with interesting instruments and a grandpa who made square wooden string guitars, very amazing- see my pics. Ice cream, fish tacos, guys making giant vats of paella and crunchy sushi rolls that looked dynamite! Look closely at the booths and walk to the end where the really good food and fish tacos are! You don't want to miss out. The electric car area was amazing and I loved seeing the remodeled 1972 Volkswagen bug convertible made electric and the brand new but a replica of the Volkswagen van now electric... goes about 300 miles fully charged. It's an amazing market- very enjoyable. Cute painted cowboy hats too! Hope you enjoy my pics

Yelp
We visited this Farmers' market in Lexington County, South Carolina a few weeks ago, while they was hosting their 2023 annual spring arts & crafts market. They had over 170+ local vendors setup under small tents or under their handstand shelters to sell. There was plenty of parking and they were easily able to accommodate large or small vehicles. They had food vendors on site for the people that were out shopping. This annual spring arts & crafts market is a two day event, which was held over a Saturday and Sunday. There was male and female restrooms in the handstand shelters, and they were being very well maintained. This was an great event and we ended up going on both days, because we was not able to visit all of the different vendors. I'm positive that we will be back the next time they are hosting other markets. Lots of vendors with some unique arts & crafts. If your looking for a local farmers market open every day, this is definitely the one!!!

Yelp
Awesome place, so much fun to walk around and shop. Some vendors are a bit pricey, but they are just making up for Bidenflation

Yelp
So what is up with this place? I can't figure out if it's just a trap for unsuspecting folk making the drive once they see a sign for it or what. Example: Signage all over at one stand "area" boasted South Carolina grown items only....Keep it local....ya dad yadda...so we approached thinking "local veggies" and instead discovered row after row of WISCONSIN grown (per stickers all over)squash....and barrels full of...cantaloupe. Am I dumb? Do we grow cantaloupe here? Certainly we must...much more so than WISCONSIN?!? I wish I had brought my phone to snap a photo of said stickers as I couldn't believe it. Wisconsin?!

Yelp
The produce was poor; sat in the sun picked too long and was mush inside even tho it looked good on the outside. It wasn't cheaper than Walmart and the selection was poor.

Yelp
A super stop on a road trip passing through South Carolina. We found plenty of great produce and wished we could have had the space for more. We got to the car and sampled a peach and a tomato. So glad we pulled in here. We will enjoy these at our vacation destination. Got corn and squash also. Super easy in and out off the highway. If passing through in season don't miss this one.

Yelp
No very well laid out. Nobody knows where anything is at. We found 2 sheds and a few buildings for commercial use. If that is all it is we the people of South Carolina got ripped off.

Yelp
Arrived today at 10a.m. and NOTHING was there. Figured give them time to set up and handle morning hustle bustle. Not only that but restaurant/ market was closed as well. Someone should go to site and change hours of operation or explain where mistake was made.

Yelp
Not a terrible stop for veggies and fruits. But Mikes produce seems to have some rude staff on hand. We were treated disrespectfully. My five year old told me "this is a nasty man".

Yelp
We went to the farmers market today and I was very disappointed. First off the two main sheds had ZERO people in them. The other smaller sheds had people in them, but was 90% watermelons. There were very few other vegetables available, and nothing was from South Carolina. The State Farmers Market is supposed to be the place to get fresh produce from South Carolina farmers, and sadly there was nothing!

Yelp
Went last Sunday, the market was surprisingly empty. There was ample amount of space and no one was taking money to park. Drove to first two cover areas and there were no vendors finally went to a covered area in the back where there was an assortment of vendors selling fruit. I bought some tomatoes, peppers, and pears. Though the peppers and tomatoes looked to be grown locally, the pears had stickers on them as if they were purchased at costco or a another retailers. The real gem of the market for me was the fresh seafood section. I was able to buy fresh caught shrimp and some live blue crabs. All the catches are brought in daily, which is remarkable given the distance to ocean from Columbia. The man and woman running the stand were very kind and helpful. They also cook food and made the most incredible low country boil for $15 and some awesome fried butterfly shrimp. You can taste the freshness. I will be back at the stand for all of my seafood needs

Yelp
I was surprised at having to pay to park and rent a cart . There were many growers from NC. I thought it was to promote SC growers. Beautiful flowers but basically you have to Pay $7 to get in

Yelp
I am lucky to live somewhere with such a HUGE local selection of FRESH produce! I feel like I discovered a gold mine and best yet they are open every single day of the week. It doesn't much more farm-to-table than this. The only downside is that they are a little ways away from us out in Irmo but it is worth the extra gas. Also, great parking and it is completely covered yet open air so you can make it rain or shine! Some take credit cards with a 3% charge so if you can, bring some cash and recyclable bags.

Yelp
Nice; have 2 pay to park, bring your own cart, or rent 1- put on good walking shoes. Lots of valuable selection, I went last year, plan on going soon, like today! Good Vegetables and Fruits, support your local Farmers! They have an ATM in 1 location to use. So, I suggest taking cash with you. Enjoy, and met some nice Folks. Some Vendors even let you sample a bite of some things- like Berries.

Yelp
Loving the new location. It is still a work in progress but what's in place now is great. My main reason for this review is for the Market Pavilion. There are craft vendors, some produce, baked goods, and more. Located in the same building as Judy's Restaurant (Corbet Building). Come on down! They have a special event every month that benefits a charity. Buy local; buy handmade!

Yelp
Money goes a long way here. My friends and I pool our money and bought vegetables and fruits in bulk. What am I going to do with like 20 peaches and 12 tomatoes? Lol... I love it here!

Yelp
I decided to stop by for the Midlands Fall and plant festival this weekend! Parking was easy and free and there was a great selection of fruits and veggies. There were also many vendors there with fall plants and flowers for sale. Some of these vendors also had yard art and decoartions. Most of the items were priced reasonably including the mums and the pumpkins. There is a bit of walking however with the large shelters you are in the shade so the South Carolina heat isnt too rough!

Yelp
Winter is not a great time to go if you're expecting lots of fresh foods. After meeting a great gal there who sells the most beautiful palms, she said it is jammin after April 21, at the flower show. For $20 we left with tomatoes, eggplant and 25 pounds of yellow squash. Score! All local too. I can't wait till spring! Note... Most vendors take cash only.

Tracy H.

Yelp
Great place to find local home grown fruits, vegetables and plants. Not mention yummy snacks . The market is timeless!

Yelp
I wasn't real impressed with this spot, and probably won't go back. It was ho hum to say the best. We got a decent deal on some pumpkins and apples and it was ok to walk around for a little bit. Other than that, the food trucks were a straight rip off and selection was extremely limited. There are definitely better options out there and the prices were kinda high.

Yelp
This place once was across the street from Williams Brice Stadium( Go Cocks). I often went with my late grandmother. The new location doesn't have the same 'ole timey' feel but you can still haggle for fruit, veggies and flowers. Worth checking out if you are near or need large quantities of produce. Moms and I got 3 huge watermelon for $6 and a large box of sweet potatoes(out of season) for $15.
