"Located on Meridian Ave and El Centro next to the Gold Line station, the South Pas Market is a local fave with a wide range of fruit and vegetables and an even wider selection of flowers, baked goods, shellfish, sundries (like goat’s milk soap), and prepared food vendors like Robin’s Wood Fire BBQ and Vegano’s plant-based paletas. Open Thursday, 4-8pm." - sylvio martins, garrett snyder

Google
I loved everything about this farmers market! The selection of fresh breads, produce, meats and hot food is great. It is a very family oriented place, the vendors truly make you feel like you're a friend not just a customer. I truly suggest you try the fresh avocados and eggs at "Ace Farm" they are the best testing I have ever had in my life.

Google
Lots of good vendors here! Cute area! :) There's plenty full of parking in the neighborhood and if you don't mind a walk looking at beautiful homes! :) CairnCookies has delicious cookies at their booth. Each cookie is $2.50 and was soft and chewy! The chicken guy has delicious rotisserie chicken and potatoes. The chicken was moist and flavorful I recommend getting it with the garlic sauce. My meal was $13 in total & can feed two!

Google
Great farmer’s market worth stopping by! Pretty big with three different sections full of vendors in a T shape. Mostly food and produce, didn’t see many personal care items or crafts. Only open for a few hours every Thursday—there was live music and a bustling crowd when I went. It’s conveniently located directly off the metro, and there’s plenty of free 2-3 hour street parking on the streets nearby. So very accessible! Just look for the street closed signs when you get there. Eat and enjoy!

I love the dependable variety of tasty veggies here… it has absolutely transformed my ability to purchase and enjoy fresh greens. I wish there were kosher options for the prepared foods.

Google
Came to check out Mama Musubi. There are a variety of food trucks as well as other ready-to-eat food vendors scattered throughout the market. The market itself is a pretty good size. They have a sign posted about animals not being allowed, but I saw plenty of people with their dogs, and no one said anything. There was a live band by the food trucks. Saw lots of people getting food and picnicking at the park nearby.

Google
This is one of the best Farmers' Markets around! I usually like coming to this one because ones in the city like Silver Lake or Downtown LA can be so busy and really hard to find parking. This one is right beside the South Pasadena Public Library so you can usually find parking on the surrounding side streets. I love the way this Farmers' Market is set up, there is such a big variety of vendors to go to. My favorite ones to go to are Healthy Butter (homemade nut butters they're INCREDIBLE), Apple Sherrill Orchards (freshly squeezed natural juices), Blöde Kuh (vegan cheeses and spreads), and Dave's (Korean vegan side dishes)! Let's not forget that there are so many food trucks to go to as well. My favorite one is Mama Musubi which is probably one of the most popular food trucks considering there's always a super long line. They specialize in making gourmet rice balls and have vegetarian/vegan options as well.

I've seen the workers kick out children with a lemonade stand and brownie stand. A redhead older grumpy woman and her sidekick with a radio, beer belly and choppy grey beard. The kids had a TINY table, not a whole stand. Lady even tried to get sheriff's involved...

Google
Lots of organic produce!! Food vendors include: Fresh kettle corn, oyster & poke, bbq, and a rotisserie chicken! It gets super crowded so I advise to go early! Music and kids running around type of vibe, while some picnic on the grass. Park on the streets or in the parking lot nearby that allows parking for the farmers market. Unique finds such as pasta, banchan, and juices! I didn’t see any hand washing stations. I would like to see this located in an area that has more space and wider streets. I can’t imagine how it would be at its peak but lines can get confusing with people trying to zig zag and pass thru.

Yelp
Last week I went when the weather was nice, and it was so cute! I have gone before but this time, there were a lot more people which added to the Spring vibes. Parking is a little bit tough, but it's worth it. Small but nice farmers market. There are a lot of food options, and everyone is so nice there.

Katie C.

Yelp
The South Pasadena Farmer's Market is the perfect activity for an LA summer night! Lots of families picnicking and enjoying the evening. The produce was a little overpriced considering the nectarines were very small. Not sure if this was because it's early in the season. The service was great and I bought produce from 3 different vendors! Update: two of my peaches has ear wig bugs in them who had eaten the entire seed not happy about that

Joann V.

Yelp
3.4 stars This was my first time visiting this farmer's market. I thought it was ok, but really enjoyed looking around. The selection of vendors is quite small. Everyone was friendly. I will definitely have to come back to get my knives sharpened.

Gohar K.

Yelp
One of my favorite farmers markets that I go to from time to time. Located in a cute neighborhood in South Pasadena. You will see a lot of locals gathering and having dinner and shopping. Lots of great vendors. Friendly and helpful. You will find lots of freshly baked breads and croissants. Organic produce and juices. Also a few food trucks and booths selling delicious food. It's on Thursday's from 4-7pm

Nick A.

Yelp
Yeah, I know. Three stars. I feel like a hater. Some of my fellow Yelpers got me all hyped up for an awesome five-star experience. It was an OK experience. Not bad by all means, but not good enough to make me want to go back again. It's located right off the South Pasadena Gold Line station. It operates every Thursday from 4-7 PM. There are plenty of vendors and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to be had, along with artisan bread, fruit drinks, bbq food, flowers, cookies, kettle corn,...you get it...farmer's market stuff. It created a nice vibe. Some vendors even offered free samples. The fact that it was in South Pasadena, I thought it would be a little better. There were no restrooms and very few places to sit. Lots of people sat on a very small patch of grass which I would think often doubles as a "pet rest" area. Anyway, again, I thought South Pasadena would put on a good show, but they don't do anything extra except block off the street. Only certified service animals are allowed, so keep that in mind if you want to bring your pet. I only saw one dog there and it was a real service dog. The prices are pretty high, but that's to be expected at these types of venues. Don't go there looking for any deals, although the information booth was giving out free spray cans of hand sanitizer. Not bad! I had some street corn to eat. It took about as long as it takes corn to grow to get my small ear of lukewarm street corn. It had no roasted taste to it at all. I also had a bacon-wrapped hot dog at a well know bbq place. It too was lukewarm, served on a small cold bun, and was badly burned. It must have been made hours before. My friend had some brisket from the same place, and it too was served lukewarm. I won't divulge the names of the vendors. Maybe I caught them at a bad time on a bad day. Still, I had a nice time strolling around and enjoying the day. Lots of people milling about doing the same. It's not a bad way to spend some time chatting with a friend. Even when things are so-so, hanging out with a friend and having a chat makes lukewarm food taste much better!

Kevin S.

Yelp
Great selection of produce and food options. Super conveniently located right next to train station.

John G.

Yelp
Great place to hang, see neighbors, and get your kiddos tired before bedtime. Sometimes there's musicians. Sometimes the produce is affordable. Longer lines for good food vendors -- nearby restaurants are cheaper and arguably more delicious. Mama Musubi, chicken guy, fruit vendor at corner of El Centro/Meridian (they have variety of pluots when in season), French pastry vendor, and pupusas are consistent hits. It's not the peak evolution of farmers markets -- but it's the hands-down best in the area. Easy parking in neighborhood -- or old SPUSD lot. Pro-tip: support a small biz/pick up a snack. Picnic at the legendary tree at SouthPas library. Restrooms there too. Recommend!

Yelp
Great little farmers market that actually stays out when the sun goes down! It's a very food centric farmers market, with plenty to eat and sample! From cookies, to cheeses, honey, dry rubs, fresh peaches, fresh bread, granola, Japanese sauces, and more, this little farmers market sure packs a punch! Parking is pretty difficult to find, especially if you come after 5 (when everyone gets out of work, myself included!) It only takes me 30 minutes to see the wares, and even longer if you stay to grab a bite at one of the many hot food stands/trucks! There is a park nearby and a Iibrary not even a block away! The South Pasadena station stop drops you off right at one of the entrances. There is also a small museum that is free to enter that has some history of Pasadena, including the fact there was a ostrich farm here. Interesting stuff! It is usually every Thursday from 4pm to 8pm unless there is a holiday or weather change, stop by you might just find something fun, delicious, or both!

Jenny R.

Yelp
This is a great hop skip on the gold metro stop in south Pasadena! Has a great vibe and a wonderful place to grab some dinner on a Thursday and some groceries as the same time. If the day is gorgeous, be warned, the market gets really packed and hard to find a place to sit to enjoy your food findings. So get there early to enjoy the ambiance. There is always a great variety of seasonal produce and unique quick meals to make at home which you don't usually find in some of the local farmers market.

Carol L.

Yelp
I've been to this farmers' market once but due to work and every chaos that happens after work/school, it's hard to make my way over again. Instead of missing out on their offerings, I am so excited to be able to get delivery! I found out SPFM is partnered with Farmshoppr and I placed an order with a quickness. The delivery guy picked good quality stuff for me and the actual delivery was easy. I'm stoked that this is an option (Hollywood FM, take note)!

Haneef B.

Yelp
Great healthy produce-food stuff. Fun music!!! Nice afternoon-evening open air market. Thank you.

Yelp
Farmer's Market in South Pasadena... Mango Nectarines! Burgundy Plums! White Nectarines! These "mainland fruits" are what I purchased at the South Pasadena Farmer's Market. These sweet summer fruits are yummy happiness to me! I wouldn't have known about this Farmer's Market unless my friend told me about it. She said it's like a party...and it is! This cool event (with live music) happens every Thursday, starting at 4pm. We got there exactly at 4pm and people were in buying mode already! I found free street parking and jumped in on the action! I knew I wanted fresh fruit because we don't have juicy, ripe fruits in Hawaii. The fruits we get are shipped over while they are green and "ripen" while in transit over the ocean... yeah... So, when I come to the mainland in the summer, it's time to eat fresh fruits! Yum! Some vendors even have samples! Yay! I'll be back! Note: Besides fruit, there are also fresh cut flowers, live plants, veggies, homemade jams, jellies, baked goods, soaps, etc! There are crafts and prepared, ready-to-eat food, too!

Yelp
My daughters and I went for our first time this past summer during COVID. The operating hours say that it starts at 4pm, but street parking already starts filling up around the market already by 3:30pm, so if you get there close to 4, be prepared to walk further. I tried parking on Meridian, but I heard that parking on Mission St may be easier to find closer parking. Vendors are also up and running before 4pm and there are lines for some of the fruits and vegetable vendors by 4pm. The size of this farmers' market is similar to the Alhambra one they have on Sundays. I think some of them might be the same vendors too. It was nice to walk around the Mission District of South Pasadena, and they had a decent variety of vendors. Due to COVID, the vendors that normally serve hot foods are currently only selling their items frozen or ready to heat up back at home.

Cory B.

Yelp
It's great. Pupusas are great! Fish is great. Brothers lebna and hummus is great... everything is literally amazing. Get some peaches while you're there, too....mmmmmmm

B E.

Yelp
This is a wonderful little farmers' market with most everything you should need -- even seafood and fresh pasta and cheeses. Altho I do wish some of the vendors from Hollywood would pop up here... there's room. It is fairly crowded and they have begun forming lines to slow the crowd, so expect a wait. 4 stars instead of 5 because certain vendors charge different prices for different patrons.

Jade W.

Yelp
I miss the great oldies band that used to play. The band really took the market to another level. Not the same festival that it used to be.

Amber D.

Yelp
Second best farmers market I'd ever been to. The best farmers market (in my opinion) is at the Ferry building in San Francisco. This one is cute...has excellent fruit, veggies, eggs, meat, plants, and food. I bought dates from Dates by Davall. I love dates...and these were probably the best dates. There are restaurants nearby to grab a glass of wine and watch people shop. The area and vibe is cute.

Ellen M.

Yelp
Great farmers market with some of the friendliest vendors and yummy ready food. The pupusa and tamale stands have my heart, and I also love the Indian food and Mediterranean vegan to-go meals. Mom's products has such amazing products (I always get the 3 items for $15) and Ken's has the best stone fruit. The Korean ready foods are delicious (get the seaweed tempeh!). I am also addicted to the healthy butter stand. The nut butters are definitely pricey but I cannot help but buy it. I honestly think the south pas farmers market can be pricier than others and have started going to the Alhambra one more, but I cannot resist these few stands.

B I.

Yelp
This is my favorite local farmers market. They allow purchases prior to "open" and many of the vendors are set-up by 3:15. Parking is usually available in the lot immediately to the east, but the lot is often rented to filming companies and then parking is very difficult. Last week the lot was closed to public parking and I saw parking enforcement trolling nearby. Beware of parking tickets! Beylik is here with great tomatoes, peppers, basil and cucumbers. The very best artisan crafted bread (freshly milled flour) is offered by Seed Bakery -- always a line! Gourmet Specialties has Little Gem lettuce, the best French green beans, excellent salad blends and arugula, and all seasonal herbs. Plenty of organic choices and the very best local, seasonal cherries. The Chicken Guys have very good roasted chicken and potatoes (but they're not open until about 4 pm). Roasted corn is always a treat. My favorite is the Happy Inka (Peruvian). They don't have potatoes, but their food is fresh, very flavorful and healthy! Chicken saltados (ask for extra vegetables) and fish chaufas (read -- fried rice!) are delicious.

Melody L.

Yelp
This was a neat market I just happened to stop by on a Thursday night. It's really small so if your looking to see or try a lot of things, I don't recommend coming here. But they did have stands that I bought stuff from and I ended up buying more than I thought I would. I would definitely come again because these 2 food merchants sell bomb yogurt and vegan spread! I highly recommend if you're in the area and want to take a walk on a Thursday night!

Mary S.

Yelp
This is by far the BEST Farmers Market you will ever come to! Ive been to quite a few in the surrounding areas from Pasadena all the way to Silverlake and West LA and nothing tops South Pasadena. I love to find unique, fresh, and colorful produce, and this is the place to find them. You can also stock up on eggs, bread, flowers, pastry, honey, fish (i know!!!), freshly squeezed juices, and much more! They also have a lot of food vendors, so bringing the family and hanging out is a must. I love supporting local farmers. Once you make it a habit to come here weekly, like I do, you begin to have a profound love and understanding of why farmers farm ;) They are open every Thursday from 4:30pm until depending on season.

Annie M.

Yelp
South Pasadena farmers' market is great for a medium sized neighborhood market. We got there a little late (7:00) but it wasn't too crowded and parking was actually manageable. The market had a great variety with some killer speciality stands! I left with a jar of the (yelp) famous nut butter and a package of cheese. There was also a great artisanal, vegan chocolate stand that almost convinced me to totally break my diet. The actual produce prices seemed really high for a farmers' market, which was pretty disappointing. Maybe we didn't look hard enough, but on average the price for fresh fruits (and fish for that matter) was much higher than what you'd see at a typical grocery store...which is usually the opposite experience I've had at other farmers' markets. The quality looked excellent and I'm sure it was worth the extra few dollars, but we didn't purchase any this trip. I've also never seen a farmers' market that was so anti-dogs. Even ESAs are banned (although the posted signage does a crappy job communicating that). Looking forward to coming back throughout the different seasons to see all the different offerings!

Yelp
This is mostly COVID19 related. If COVID 19 is done at some point in the future, you can ignore this one. I had initially been nervous about going to farmer's markets in the COVID era. The last time I went to a true farmer's market, it was in NY and was more than a year ago, and it was one of those bustling ones shoulder shoulder running into everyone you know. Basically the opposite of COVID friendly. But I finally went to another one in the LA area and was impressed with its setup, I felt safe (review of it to follow - Atwater Village). I realized the South Pasadena one was today and I finally had a chance to go, and I expected it to be as chill and organized as the Atwater one that had restored my confidence in farmer's markets. Nope. If you can find parking, you enter from any direction. There seems to be a spread of four small blocks that intersect. This is the opposite of what should be happening for COVID. There should be one entrance, people should go in one direction, and you should exit somewhere different to avoid people passing each other or not knowing where to go. Some individual shops/tents had a little one-way flow going, but people don't read signs or did not really follow them. Then, they put the info booth in the middle of these four intersections so if you need to do something with a credit card or SNAP, you need to get through the crowds to the middle, then go back to whatever you wanted to buy. In the Atwater one, the info/credit card tent is right there when you enter and they have a one-way flow for people. There are definitely more vendors here, but it was way too crowded for COVID times. Sure, everyone basically had a mask on but that is simply not enough. If I wanted a crowd while I shopped, I would go to Walmart. I will not be back in this market until there is a vaccine or they actually put some thought into the flow of people so that there is no crowding. Get in, get out, and don't linger.

Elaine T.

Yelp
I've missed my French marchés ever since I've moved back to the US :( Now that I live on the East side of town, the ones I knew and loved in Santa Monica are too far away for me to go to on a regular basis, but thankfully the South Pasadena Farmers Market is an excellent alternative. The market begins at the Metro stop for South Pasadena, so I saw it on a ride one day and made it a point to go once some friends said it was the best in the area. There are many food trucks clustered around the road adjacent to the Metro stop, so if you are hungry, you will have plenty of options. Local and organic produce abound. If you run out of cash (some vendors take credit cards), there is an ATM at the center of the market. There's live music as the sun sets.

Desirae F.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite markets in LA. I love the live band they have playing and the selection is usually consistent and really good! The lines do tend to be long sometimes so I suggest getting there right when they open if you want to miss out on the crowds.

Mimi D.

Yelp
South Pas knows how to make a Thurs feel like a wkd cause it becomes a hectic lil shopping area filled w tons of vendors and plenty of good food n produce to eat and music to shimmy your way around -- gotta pick up the masubi before produce pick up! Gimmmme gimme! Carmela's is out there too and it's def one of those places that I've bookmarked forever n still haven't tried - still striving to not binge on as much masubi one day so I can actually try it haha Free street parking in the nearby vicinity. You may need to do a couple of u-turns to find a spot but it's a fun way to get ur groceries started n segue into the weekend wooohoooo

Yelp
Recently I discovered an amazing nut butter at this market. It's at the Healthy Butter stand and it's a cinnamon fig almond butter called "Figzilla". Figzilla, where have you been all my life? At 17 dollars for an 11.5 oz jar, it's a bit of a splurge but hey, you only live once and life is too short. This is a wonderful farmer's market. The ambiance is fantastic. Located right by the Metro Gold Line in the picturesque Mission District of South Pasadena, it has a great community atmosphere. Today I bought a jar of mixed berry jam, a dozen organic brown eggs, a package of chipotle bourbon beef jerky, a jar of raw honey, a loaf of rainbow colored bread at Homeboy Bakery (to make happy grilled cheese sandwiches) and of course, the Figzilla. The cost does add up after a while since things are not cheap here, but it feels good to support local farmers and businesses. I chatted it up with many of the vendors, who were so generous in sharing info and offering samples. The vendor from Highway Highlands Farm (a seller of organic jams and jellies) was particularly generous in explaining the ingredients in each of her jams and taking the time to show me her wide selection which included jams made with champagne, zinfandel, and merlot. Cheers! Even if you don't buy anything, it's fun just strolling around looking at all the beautiful colors and hues of the produce and fresh flowers. I was impressed to see that fresh oysters, beef, seafood, and chicken were also for sale. As others have said, there is a wide variety of things to munch on here as well: ice cream, rotisserie chicken, corn on the cob, tamales, kettle corn, shave ice, etc. My fave is the huge baked yam with lotsa butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. My son's fave is the tri tip BBQ sandwich at Robin's BBQ. He likes to wash it down with one of their freshly squeezed lemonades. It's especially satisfying on a hot summer day. But yea, I'll be dreaming about that Figzilla nut butter all night...

My Y.

Yelp
Although I haven't been to Pasadena or Alhambra's Farmers markets; this is the best in SGV!!! 1/ Very friendly vendors and staff ... check 2/ Great produce with mostly organic choices ... check 3/ easy parking ... check Visit for yourself (:

Gwen L.

Yelp
Love this Farmers market! Amazing fruits and veggies. Great food! Nice environment and kind vendors.

Melissa L.

Yelp
I've been to Farmers' Markets in other parts of Los Angeles, but this has been my favorite one. Why? Let me list the ways: 1. Hours. every Thursday 4pm-8pm. (Hear that Manhattan Beach? 11am-4pm is terrible; people that work have a hard time going). 2. Selection. From organic fruits & veggies, olive oils, baked goods, flowers, etc. 3. Entertainment. Yes, there is always someone there to entertain you. For example, today, on one end was a trumpet player and in the center was a man playing his sitar. As if that wasn't entertaining enough, a group of people were walking around guiding their puppet to dance along to the music. 4. Food trucks. I've chowed down on an excellent Gyros from one truck, Polish Bratwurst from another and a fantastic Lemonade. Plus, fresh raw OYSTERS (yes, they shuck them right in front of you; Delicious!). 5. Rest. Feel like having a seat and drinking some Sangria? There's Nicole's Gourmet Market right there (which we did today) or Bistro de la Gare. Also there's an area that people put down blankets to eat their food (between museum & train) 6. Location. Located at the intersection of Meridian & El Centro, right next to the Gold Line stop. Personally, I can stroll down there. 7. Small town feel. Place is filled with local families. Also, one of the vendors offered my daughter and her friends a job to sell fruits, which they did for several weeks. Sounds like something from yesteryear. Until I visit a better one, this place will remain 5 stars.

Franklin M.

Yelp
I just exited from the metro train at 800pm and most of the vendors were packing up. I decided to walk around and see what I can buy before the vendors closed up completely. I bought a couple of things and asked for last minute deals, but the vendors declined and kept to the regular prices. I've sold at swap meets many years ago and closing time was fire sale time were you just wanted to get rid of what you had so you won't have to take it back home or business. Alhambra's Farmers Market on Sundays is where you can get better deals at closing time.

Rebecca T.

Yelp
One of the best markets around! The vendors are great, lots of vegan options, friendly farmers, and everything is delicious. They have a lot of variety in the products offered, from cashew cheese/yogurt, to handmade nut butters, lots of fresh produce, Korean side dishes, Mediterranean, and ready made foods like pupusas. I haven't even explored everything. Can't wait to go back and try new things!

Robin R.

Yelp
Love, love, love this place. The venders are awesome. Lots of fresh produce of which is ever in season. I have stopped going to regular market. I will support our local farmers.

Nanita L.

Yelp
This is such a neat farmer's market with your usual organic vendors for fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, honey, and other goodies. But the selling point? they also have food trucks! I saw one of my favorite food truck vendors, Mama Musubi and instantly fell in love with it. Came after 5 p.m. on a Thursday and it was a lovely experience. Recommend checking out.

Rob B.

Yelp
One of the best farmers markets I've been to. Tons of local produce and really good food trucks. Live music. Lots of smiling faces. Definitely a great place to go grab a bite to eat or refreshing beverage, grab some produce or just go walk around and enjoy all the wonderful people.

N F.

Yelp
This is a great weekday market. It's not big, but not so small either. It's somewhere in between. The selections are good and the vendors offer a variety of quality produce. Not all farmers can afford to get organic certified so you have to ask them yourself! And they'll tell you "no spray" or "pesticide free". I prioritize locally grown (and organic) so it's important to know this information before deciding to make a purchase. Also, ask about their farming practices and they'll tell you how your food is grown. The ones who can afford to get certified will let you know with banners stating as such. Don't be afraid to buy from a vendor who can't afford to get certified. The USDA organic certification is a very expensive and lengthy process and sadly small farmers don't have the budget for it. A small number of the farmers/vendors that I buy from regurarly at the HFM are here too so that's a nice perk for when I can't wait for Sunday to tide me over. There's a fair amount of prepared food vendors too but like everything ready made for you, it can get pricey. I usually avoid them bc my purpose is to shop strictly for fresh seasonal produce. Once in a blue when budget allows I'll treat myself to something. I wanted to try a vegan rice ball by mama musubi and it cost $3.75 for a small portion! It's between that or fresh fruits and veggies and I'll always choose produce first over prepared meals at the market. Plus I can make musubi at home for pennies, so for me it's not really worth it unless I have some spare cash and feel like splurging a bit. The location is in a cute area of S. Pas near a lot of mom & pop boutiques and eateries on Mission St. Very easy to get to and It's also right by the goldline metro station. Parking is hassle free in the residential areas and it's just a hop and skip away to the market. I think I might be a regular here from time to time. Winter hours is reduced by one hour so they close at 7pm. Spring, summer and fall they are open until 8pm.

Ratika N.

Yelp
One of my favorite farmers market in LA. I love the south pasadena community, so its great to come here and meet old Neighbours, friends and even make new friends. There are plenty of food options...my favorite is the roasted corn, Papusas stand and the mama musubi stand. Just beware that after 5:30, the lines are huge sometimes. Love the vegetable and fruits vendors and people playing music towards the evening. This is the best way to spend Thursday evening under the stars with fresh food with your family in a great community!

Emily L.

Yelp
Went to the Farmers Market today, around evening. I came across a stand that had organic veggies and duck eggs. I asked the seller if it was the egg with the little chicks, aka balut! She said yes. I bought 8 of it thinking it was Balut and came home to it being just regular duck eggs. Very unhappy with the seller giving out false advertisement about what she was selling.

Hajin C.

Yelp
They often have live music which adds to the ambiance and it's just an overall enjoyable time to come alone or with friends/family! I just wish this Farmers' Market was maybe twice a week or extended the hours to 5 hours or something. I understand many of these vendors travel far to get here though so it's not a big deal. It's just hard to make it every week if you have other commitments. If you're in the Pasadena area, please go! You will not regret it and will leave with a happy and full belly :)

Yelp
Definitely my favorite farmers market I've ever been to! There's so much variety and so much good food. It's definitely a very cute date spot or fun place to visit with friends. Parking: Free street parking. I usually can find something around there

Yelp
I LOVE farmers' markets and markets of all kinds. I try to attend them regularly and love shopping local. That being said, this is the farmers' market of all farmers' markets. I attend almost every week. There is a great community feel here with friendly people and vendors. I love that I have been able to establish a relationship with some of the vendors who come every week. For years there have been some of the same great standbys. Make sure you try the peanut butter, the vegan Korean food and the hummus. There are so many amazing samples to try. My friend and I joke how it is like a more posh Costco trip. Good luck not buying everything though because it is all amazing. There have been a few changes recently, some sad and some happy. I have been sad to see no Todo Verde anymore, who had delicious drinks and offers a vegan catering service. A nice recent addition is a soup cart that has a plethora of delicious soups -- perfect for the colder weather! Since this is at night, it's great for those who have work and can't attend a lot of local markets that are in the morning or daytime. There are sometimes fun local musicians and once when I went the high school marching band was playing! It's always a fun time at the market, so head on over!

Yelp
Gorgeous outdoor venue with local shops and food trucks taking advantage of this Thursday evening event. This isn't some sissy weak sauce sprinkle of produce and eateries, you can come for weeks to try something new. This is a true Farmer's Market with a local train stop and tons of vendors. It can get a little competitive to find parking but it's not too bad of a walk. Minus one star for the haphazard layout. I nearly tripped over wires and set up a few times.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite Farmers Market - that is, if I can make it. The hours are fairly reasonable (Thursday 4-8) but I sincerely wish they would also host it on one weekend day. Unless you have somewhat flexible hours (freelancer/flaneur/independently contracted/self-employed/unemployed/housewife), it's difficult to make it here if you prefer some daylight while at a Farmers Market. Hence, 4 stars. Otherwise it would be 5. If they accommodated for one weekend day, I would seriously only ever need to get groceries here. But alas, sadness. Parking by the church next to/across from the market can be intensely competitive. Parking on the street is not very plentiful or available either. Luck has a lot to do with it. Highlights/favorite vendors for me are 1) the seafood which is insanely fresh and wild. I messed up a bit in cooking scallops I got here one night, and they still tasted phenomenal and buttery purely out of the fact that they were just great quality scallops to begin with, 2) fresh juice; the company (forgot the name) just comes up with the best veggie/fruit combo that is naturally subtly sweet, 3) challah, 4) fungi, and last but not least 5) the pre packaged and/or package you own amount salads - this is my favorite place to buy salad, their spicy mix is fresh, zesty, and flavorful with all my favorites. Literally, a dream team salad combo (endive, arugula, frisée, etc.). The prices are commensurate with the quality and in fact, for the quality, are a bargain. The produce is fresh and lasts/holds up pretty well even after a week. There are food trucks, I believe I noticed a BBQ one but I've never tried them. As with any grocery shopping, I try not to come here hungry. But if by chance you are, there are food trucks. Extremely family friendly environment, lots of kids, and an understandably popular/busy Farmers Market.

Yelp
Definitely a solid farmers market happening at the heart of south pasadena. It occurs every thursday night and it takes place near the metro gold line station. Its a great place to have a farmers market due to the easy access. However parking can be a nightmare so get here early! I love the farmers market more during the summer as it tends to stay open later, and the weather is perfect. During the winter the market seems to close earlier and it's so cold walking around at night and there are less people. There are a TON of different vendors with lots and lots of variety which I really like. From the fresh fruit stands (which they have a lot to choose from), to different food options, fresh baked options, hummus, even a korean side dish stand! My favorites have been the raw nut butter one (love the cashew butter!) and the fruit stand with the ton of oranges. I love the blood oranges there, and they give samples too! I also have tried the fresh bread (I forget which one). I want to try the spam musubi stand but there's always a long time, so maybe one day! Other stands I've seen: -Fresh Oysters -Carmelo's ice cream -Puspusas -Peruvian food (?) -Fresh baked cookies and donuts -and many more! Overall I really like this farmers market! I wish they opened on sunday mornings as well as sometimes shopping on a thursday night can be difficult to get to.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the farmers market especially Mama Masubi. Tried the spam with Japanese egg and the bacon and avocado. Both tasted great. Very pleased with the quality and presentation. The folks at the booth were wonderful as well.

Yelp
This is a small but lovely farmer's market. I especially like some of the relatively newer stands like the kombucha, the vegan cheese, the soup stand, etc. My only complaint is that there is not enough organic produce. Most of the organic options are fruit, but typically the vegetables are conventional.

Yelp
One of my favoite things about moving to South Pas is this little market. While not as big as the Hollywood market (although bigger than Los Feliz and about the same as Atwater) it has everything I need and more. It's such a fun community vibe on Thursday nights. Perfect for date night and totally family-friendly. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is my favorite thing to do on Thursdays! It's a good way to feel like the weekend is almost here! Here's a quick list of info! - It's Thursdays 4-8p - Gold Line stops here! - No puppers :( Bring your kids though! - Most vendors are cash only, there is an ATM though! - Seating available but very limited unless you bring some thing to sit on for a picnic! - Pupusas. GET THEM. - Rain or Shine- they're here! - If you drive, it's street parking only and it's limited - Lot of small shops near by! Stop at La Monarca for a pick me up!

Yelp
Huge market with soooo many options. Hot food, veggie/ fruit stands, vegan cheese, regular cheese, micro greens, house plants, bakeries, free range meats, fresh fish, you name it, they have it! I barely have to run to a normal store because I get everything I need from here every week. I have close relationships with the farmers and I'm happy to support their small businesses and keep farming relevant. Easy street parking. Come through! Bring your children-- there's live music and activities for them too!

Yelp
Love how big this farmers market is. Lots of fresh produce, food stands, ice cream, and a rotisserie chicken stand that smells to die for. I haven't tried it yet but I will! This farmers market does NOT allow dogs in the market. They will ask you to leave. Just a heads up.
