America’s First Vegan Beer Hall Will Open in Quincy, Serving Local Beer, Coffee, and More | Eater Boston

"A planned all-vegan beer hall and daytime café in Quincy Center aiming to bring plant-based food into a social, beer-hall setting. Slated to open in spring/early summer 2018, the venue will feature 20 tap lines with a curated draft list emphasizing local New England breweries as well as canned classics, plus nonalcoholic options like kombucha and nitro/cold-brew coffee. The team envisions a dual-purpose space where people can work over artisanal coffee and plant-based pastries in the morning and enjoy a lively beer-hall atmosphere, events, and podcasts in the afternoons and evenings. Menu highlights previewed at a pop-up include inventive vegan dishes such as oyster-mushroom “bacon-wrapped scallops,” approachable comfort items like burgers, tacos, and pizza with cashew cheese, appetizers (corn dogs, hummus, cauliflower Buffalo wings), mains (French dip sandwiches, tofu tacos, Impossible Burger sliders, curry quinoa bowls), and grab-and-go café fare like overnight oats and muffins. Interior plans emphasize urban-style art and a retro podcast area, and the project is pitched as the South Shore’s first fully plant-based beer-hall concept." - Dana Hatic

*Read all the way through, as many of the negative reviews are misleading* I know theres alot of negative reviews of this hospital, but I have YEARS of experience with hospitals and providers due to chronic illnesses such as Lymes and psychiatric issues. This hospital consistenly treats me with dignity and respect every time I go there. I am lucky enough to have PA - BRENDAN RYAN as my PCP. I CANNOT say enough about this man. I suffer from years of trauma, polysubstance abuse, chronic physical illnesses, and psychiatric issues. This man is THE MOST caring, attentive, accommodating, and sensitive doctor I've EVER had the privilege to work with. (And I've worked with well over 100 doctors in my journey to recovery.) If it were for him alone, I would rate this hospital 5 stars. But that aside, ALL staff and nurses are kind and compassionate and attentive to your needs. Should you need your blood drawn, the phlebotomy lab is quick and kind. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to get my blood drawn. When my tests do come back, (usually in less than 24hrs) it never takes longer than 2 hours (assuming its during the times the hospital is open) for my attending doctor to comment on them and advise accordingly. I cant speak for others experiences, (and I CAN say that South Shore Hospital Weymouth is a WHOLE ENTIRE other ball game in the other direction...), but THIS South Shore location has it together. And again, should you be in the market for a PCP and be lucky enough to be taken on by one of the providers here, BRENDAN RYAN is by far and away THE BEST all around doctor I've EVER experienced. *Take away* - if you go into this hospital with respect, you will recieve it back. If you go in with a predisposition based on some of these negative reviews, you may indeed experience a different level of care. Its all in the way you treat staff. (And people in general.) Best of luck in your recovery!

We had our pregnancy ultrasound performed here. The facility is nice and has the look of being recently renovated. The overwhelming negative complaints of this location seem to be unfounded. The staff were friendly enough as long as you take into account the curt New England social handicap that most natives up north have. Public restrooms are available and there were no major delays or waits.

I followed my Dr here bc he is great. This review is about their pharmacy department. If you need your meds to come in the time span they give (24-48 hrs) and the pharmacy you tell them reliably do not go here. The frustration is indescribable as I've once again been without my meds for a week bc they didn't send them to the pharmacy I told them to. I've regularly had to drive 30+ mins out of my way to get meds bc they decided to send them to a different cvs. It's ridiculous. Edited to update a year later: it has gotten worse. Now I just can't get the scripts sent to any pharmacy at all bc they either forget to pass them along to the Dr or pass along the wrong med. If you have other options don't go here. Another update a year later: you will never convince me that the incompetence displayed here has not been responsible for the end of someone's life.

Brendan Ryan is a great clinician and I highly recommend him. He is clear, concise, personable and he listens. 10/10.

I've been to this clinic 2 times, so I'm a fairly new patient. I love the fact that when u get there in time for your appointment, you don't have to wait a long time, which is something I could never understand from the other clinics. I understand that things can get backed up with other patients, but not to the point where one has to wait 45 mins or more to see a doctor when you're there on time for your appointment. The staff are friendly and inviting. Dr. Stacy Wessman was the doctor who saw me, im happy I got her. I really liked her, she was friendly and caring, she really knows her stuff like they say. I felt right at home in this clinic. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because I'm not too fond of those long patient health questionnaires. I understand their importance. I just wish they were shorter. Another reason is also the fact that you're more than likely going to have to pay for parking at the lot across the street. The price is not that bad, I guess. Still, I wish they had their own free parking lot or the street parking was more accessible.

I am not sure how this place is not 5 stars. I have never been somewhere and not been judged from a medical professional. I saw the midwife Julie today and her care went beyond my expectations. She did not rush through the appointment and answered all my questions taking the time. I felt so comfortable leaving my first appointment. The ultrasound tech Christy was literally cheering me on the entire ultrasound. I have never felt so much support during a doctors appointment. Also the faculty is EXTREMELY clean. Everyone at this facility was amazing!

I was a patient of Dr Hoernle for many years at his old practice, he's awesome! I moved 30 miles away and kept him as my PCP until he left there and came here, now I go somewhere closer to home. I highly recommend him. I would have followed him here, but it was just too far from where I live at this point.

I was fit in for an appointment after my doctor ordered an ultrasound to check for a molar pregnancy. The tech was great and very kind. Dr. Wessman however was incredibly annoyed that I was there and fit into her schedule, walked in the room, gave a half-hearted congratulations, and just stared at me. I think if I had said nothing we would have sat in silence and I can still feel the tension in the room just thinking about it. I tried to come up with questions for her but I felt like I was inconveniencing her and her answers were condescending and short. I was incredibly uncomfortable and as someone who just went through a miscarriage it really took away from what ended up being a happy day. Me and my husband had to remind ourselves to try not to focus on how rude she was and that we had a healthy pregnancy so far, but we couldn’t stop talking about her demeanor. I will be finding a new OBGYN outside of SSMC.
