Where To Have a Citywide And Complain In Philly

"SouthHouse in has a Citywide menu full of ones you can drink during brunch, lunch, and dinner when your friend is going on and on about her roommate who keeps using her oat milk. Grab a whiskey Jamowide (Jameson and a draft beer) after a long day in the office and a Tush Push (Bird Gang Whiskey and New Trail beer) when the Eagles are down three and aren’t heeding the advice you’re screaming at them through the TV screen. In the evenings, the stools get full, the sidewalk seating feels like a party, and every table is topped by Citywides—boozy, magical stuff. " - candis mclean

SouthHouse - Review - South Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"SouthHouse in South Philly is a gastropub where most of the neighborhood comes to watch a game and inhale a burger while they do. There's lots of gluten-free options—including a pretty good cheesesteak. But most importantly, everyone stakes theur claim at the long wooden bar and guzzles Citywides. Grab a whiskey Jamowide (Jameson and draft) after a long day in the office and a Tush Push (Bird Gang Whiskey and New Trail beer) when the Eagles are down three. It's a solid place to walk into, grab a table with your group, and eat something satisfying from the cheesy food group (we just made that up): burgers, cheesesteaks, and cheese fries." - Candis R. Where to Eat Near Lincoln Financial Field, Home of the Philadelphia Eagles | Eater Philly

"Open for brunch before the game or dinner after, SouthHouse is a good spot for a bite and a beer. The bar offers a dozen drafts and more than 70 beers and ciders in bottles and cans. Along with a popular burger list (on grilled Challah or gluten-free buns) and loaded tater tots, a number of lighter, plant-based options are also available." - Sarah Maiellano

Came on a Monday for lunch. My group sat outside. We were attended to promptly, which I appreciated. I did go inside a few times and loved the dark ambiance. The drinks were strong. The food was basic pub food. I enjoyed my time there and will be back. It’s a great laid back spot.

Google
My hunt for the best smash burger in Philly led me to SouthHouse - a gluten free bar! The smash burger was delicious. Meat was flavorful and cooked well. Pickles, lettuce and sauce on it added good texture. The bun (gluten free) was a bit on the dryer side. This is a solid smash burger, but not the best. Fries were ok, they were crispy and seasoned with old bay. Service was friendly and I could tell this was a local bar by how well everyone knew each other.

Google
It's very hard to find places that do gluten free the right way but this is one that definitely got it right. Love me a smash burger. Their sauces!? So good you'd want a bottle (which they sell behind the bar) Super great staff

Google
Amazing wings and burger! So many flavors to choose from for the wings and the meat is always incredible. Burger patties are juicy and the sauce is incredible for the mcsouthhouse. I usually get pick up because food is go great but bar is also spacious cool and there is outdoor seating when weather is nice.

Awesome gastropub for hanging out with friends. Servers and bartenders are very friendly. The drinks are tasty and their food is delicious. Very clean both indoors and outdoors. Will definitely be coming back.

Some friends and I were in town, from Baltimore, for the Metallica concert and stopped in before heading to the stadium. You guys didn't disappoint. Laidback crowd. Comfortable vibe. Great beer and food. If we ever return to Philly for a sporting event or concert, we'll be back. Cheers!

Google
South Philly staple!!! Food is delicious and yummy drinks. The gluten free food is SO good that you wouldn’t even be able to tell it was gluten free. Love coming here!!!

Google
Eat here!!! TONS of AWESOME gluten free options (even dessert!) and really, really fantastic food. I got a really great gluten free cheesesteak with fries (gluten free fryer!!), caprese salad and a peanut butter bomb for dessert. I travel for work and eat out a lot. This is the best gluten free meal I’ve had from a restaurant in months.

Yelp
A great, hidden, dive bar, with very good food and beer selections. Give it a try, very close to the stadiums for a pre game/concert choice.

Yelp
Great place. Chill neighborhood bar vibes with AMAZING gluten-free bread. The fruity pebbles nuggets were good with the honey mustard.

Yelp
First night in Philly so we stopped at a local bar to just get a few drinks. Great overall atmosphere in the bar and our server Brean was super sweet. Definitely felt right at home even though it was our first time and the cheesesteak was great. Definitely recommend and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
This was one of the few places that were open late at night. Me and my friends only came here for the food. I decided to get the burger of the month which was a Korean burger and it was delicious and flavorful. The kimchi and spicy sauce added flavor to the burger. The salad that came with it was delicious but it was drenched in oil. Service was okay, upon coming in no one greeted us and we were a bit lost. But upon being settled and eating, there was a karaoke night with people singing which I liked. Overall, I would come back for the food and the vibes.

Yelp
Burgers and wings were good and they had a nice selection of draft beers. Walking distance to Citizens Bank Park. What more could you want before hitting up a Phillies game?

Terry O.

Yelp
The food was excellent. There were a ton of gluten free options. The vibe in the place was fun.

Yelp
Visiting from NY and found this place based on yelp ratings. When I looked at the menu and saw gluten free I was sold as a celiac girlie. We got the mozzarella sticks and build your own burgers. Mozzarella sticks were okay, cheese pull on point but the breading was only okay imo. The burger though!!!! So good, including my GF bun. My husband got a regular bun and fries and it was all great at an amazing price! Service was quick and vibes were chill. I wish this was my local place!

Yelp
I came here with my husband for dinner on Friday night and this place was full. The beer menu can be found on the wall. We were greeted by the waiter right away who gave us glasses of water. The food menu is not extensive. Several appetizers, cheesesteaks, and burgers. I read interesting sign of burger of the month, which happened to be birria burger. I was intrigued so I decided to order. It didn't have any hints of birria, just under seasoned burger topped with chopped tomato and onion with cheddar cheese. I ordered my burger with salad. The salad had dressing of balsamic and oil, which I really enjoyed. My husband had chicken cheesesteak and it was ok. Beer: I had beer from Omegang brewery. It was light and the alcohol content wasn't high. In summary, it is a good place to watch sports because there are a lot of TV. Great selections of beer but don't waste your money in mediocre food.

Yelp
We got out of the Phillies game after 7PM and were looking to get dinner. SouthHouse came up in the Yelp search as not too far a drive and it was correct, the worst part is getting out of the ballpark parking and away from the stadium. It's a warmish Wednesday in May and we walked into a relatively full house, we're told to sit anywhere and find a table further back with a view of the kitchen. A server comes by with ice water, menus, and instructions to just order at the bar. Wings are on special so that's our order and to this we add two orders of fries. The latter are enormous, we could have easily shared one. In fact, when the fries came, I asked which basket was my wings and which was my brother's. I mistakenly thought the wings were under the fries. Nope that was just the fries, oh the homemade ketchup is premium. The wing arrived shortly after the fries and each drummie and flat were larger than I'm accustomed to seeing and the portion size was more than adequate. Seems we also walked in on trivia night. We didn't participate but were very entertained as the questions seemed to be Taylor Swift specific and we are *not* Swifties. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. And those who weren't participating could watch either or both of the Stanley Cup or NBA playoff games that were playing on the televisions around the room. Service was attentive, swift, and friendly. We were fine with ordering and using a credit card to open a tab at the bar. It was also quick to settle up at the bar and that go us on our way. All told it was a comfortable and familiar local sports bar experience and I'd be happy to return.

Yelp
Amazing GF options! Had the chicken cheese steak with vegan cheese in a fairly decent roll! Also, how can you not live their gator tots, that were cooked to perfection. Even had GF beer. Went on a Friday night and wasn't overly crowded. Definitely a sports bar, but great gf bar food options!
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy wings! I ordered wings and cauliflower for delivery. The food arrived appropriately warm and packaged well.

Yelp
Quite good! Thanks for everything! Very fun! Had a blast! My friend was DJing a Karaoke night here! So u KNOW it's good!

Yelp
My husband and I had recently moved to the area and were looking for local spots to add to our list of favs and we came across SouthHouse! Seriously, the staff is so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. It was still nice when we stopped by so we opted to sit outside and it turned out we arrived on Wing Wednesday! They have really great weekly specials so highly recommend checking them out (especially for brunch!) For our visit, we went with three different wing flavors and some amazing loaded tots. This is a great spot to watch the game with friends or meet up for an after work happy hour!
google avatar

Ginger B.

Yelp
We went to watch the Eagles game and had a blast. It's a neighborhood bar and the locals were into the game which made it fun. Go Eagles! The food was fresh and delicious. My friend had a spicy chicken sandwich with tots and I had the SouthHouse burger. Both sandwiches and tots were made to order so good. The beer selection (bud, miller, craft lager/IPA/cider - bottle and on tap) was very good and more importantly priced right. The Service was on point. We loved our server Ahco(sp) - sounds like Taco minus the "T". She took such good care of us even though the bar was busy. I'll be back for sure next time I'm in Philly.

Yelp
Giving 5 stars in regards to the experience my wife was able to have here. Their accommodation of her gluten allergy was above and beyond. Have we had better food before? Sure. But for the staff to know so well what food was safe for her and what gf options she had were refreshing. My cheesesteak was good. Fair prices all around the menu. But yeah a fun spot to catch a game or play some darts and the food was good overall. We'd definitely come here again when in the area to take advantage of their gluten free options.

Yelp
So good I almost cried! I was diagnosed with Celiac over 10 years ago and have had very few good experiences with dining out and managing a true gluten free diet. SouthHouse is exceptional in many ways. The location, ambiance, and service are outstanding. It's a great bar restaurant with great people. Aside from the friendliness and atmosphere, the menu is classic and the GF options are the widest I've ever seen. On top of that, I savored my first cheesesteak in over 10 years! That's where the tears almost arrived. The gluten free roll was outstanding - it was deliciously soft, but held together instead of crumbling to bits! In addition, I had to enjoy some wings and fries as well. Their dedicated fryer is an absolute necessity for those of us that need truly gluten free meals. Now that I've found this gem, I will obviously be heading back and look forward to trying all of the different flavors of wings that are available. Thank you SouthHouse!

Yelp
I was visiting family in Philly and decided to give this place a try after seeing a few TikTok recommendations about the BEST gluten free cheesesteak in town. So I brought the whole family to try too! Clear sports bar atmosphere so expect a lively crowd during football times. The staff was nice. We ordered the bedrock bites as they were gluten free also, however I found them pretty flavorless, definitely made for dipping into sauces. We ordered the loaded tots but were disappointed when the cheese wasn't melted. The Tots on their own are absolutely perfect so definitely order them! Both orders of our sweet and salty fries were cold and not really enjoyable. My daughter ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and my sister in law ordered the burger, both were disappointed with their meal. The star of the show is definitely the cheesesteak! The gluten free roll was good and the cheesesteak wasn't greasy at all, I loved it! My only advice is if you are a hot pepper fan, get them in the side. I love everything spicy, however the amount of peppers just took over everything and detracted from the sandwich. They are definitely worth a visit and do yourself a favor and get the tots and the cheesesteak, you won't regret it. I will definitely try them again when I am back in town!

Yelp
After few month moving from other state I am always curious about this place. Great review and 5 minutes from home why give a try. I look around and only 2 workers I don't know I'm wait or not. But I sat down any way( it wasn't packed when we arrived) 1 worker came for clean the table I smiled to him and he came . He bring water and menu. it was very smooth. By the way I was really hungry I am ready to dig in.ordered loaded tots, steak sandwich and burger and of cause beer. Tots is came first and beer. Tots taste very good. I usually not use tomato ketchup but I used all because they are different. I asked and he said it is home made.Ok ! Wow then steak sandwich and hamburger came. Steak I added mushroom and pepper. I think good choice to add veg. It wasn't greasy very tasty! And hamburger . No need to explain. It was so good! Juicy and tasty . Beer price is also good price! Specially combo( with whiskey) I really walking here again. Next time I will order another food!

Yelp
Very nice menu (bar food but some healthy options). Nice neighborhood, friendly customers. Service was super friendly. The food was excellent! Would highly recommend and definitely coming back.

Yelp
My wife and I are both gluten-free. She has celiac disease. We recently moved to Philadelphia and saw that Southouse has several GF options other bars/restaurants don't have. Last night was our 1st time there and we started with the wings - really good. Plump, juicy, tender, crispy, hot (temperature), I got the Cheesesteak and my hit the Cheeseburger both on GF rolls. Both were "meh" because of the rolls. They were dry, tasteless, etc. Everyone knows to have a good sandwich you need good bread. SouthHouse has clearly invested in providing a safe and extensive menu for GF patrons but IMHO they need to upgrade their bread game. We already had cocktails before we got there so we only had cokes for drinks but they seem to have an extensive beer selection - not sure if any were GF (such as Omission) other than cider. The ambience is good neighborhood 'shots & beer' - relaxed and casual. Can recommend if you're not looking for good GF food unless they can get better bread.

Yelp
Stopped here before Seltzerland at the Navy Yard. Great bar hidden in a Cute little neighborhood. They have a beer garden/container crate on the street in front with a few high top tables. We decided to sit out there and enjoy. Great beer selection. We didn't try the food since we were stopping by before an event. Staff was polite and helpful.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Staff was fantastic. Great local place. We were looking for a place that was close to our hotel but not touristy.

Yelp
Went for the Tuesday night darts tournament while visiting a friend. What a great time at a great bar. People are really friendly, great selection of beers, great staff, everything about the night was good, including the wings we got as a snack mid-tourney. Definitely a great place.
google avatar

Yelp
A great, welcoming neighborhood spot with good food and drinks. Love the weekly events, the dartboards, and the friendly owner and staff. One of my top spots in the neighborhood for watching the game or meeting up with friends.
google avatar

Jay W.

Yelp
Food was good. I have celiac disease and enjoyed the bedrock bites as an appetizer. I got the burger as my entre, the gluten-free bun was the dryest bun I've ever had in my life which was disappointing. I enjoyed the ambiance being from New York it is a local Philadelphia experience. I would definitely come back but the gluten free bun was terrible!
google avatar

Gloria E.

Yelp
Waiter was super helpful and kind! Since they are switching to new management, the main things we came for (piggy bread and cauliflower) were not available! Wine list was pretty much tapped out. The beer special was pretty great though, and the second choices for food were pretty good as well. The burger with side salad was so clean and fresh with great flavors, while the wings were nicely sized (our favorite being the sweeter glaze option, not the house hot sauce wings). Will be back, as they have a pretty nice menu and I expect that things will be back to normal on the menu soon! Our waiter kindly took note of our food frustration and took care of us, which was nice of him and for that, I will be back.

Yelp
I started with a Cheesesteak the way Anthony would eat a cheesesteak. I really need to stop doing this. Anthony likes traditional South Philly style, fried onions, provolone cheese and long hots. This is a very well made cheesesteak. The roll was good but we did have a blowout. Everything gets plenty of grill time. Even the roll spends some time on the grill getting to know everyone. I wish it was bigger but it was under $10 and came with SouthHouse cut daily half regular/half sweet potato fries dusted with SouthHouse made seasoning and SouthHouse honey ketchup for dipping, attention to detail. We also got the Brunch Cheesesteak. Same cheesesteak as above just substitute long hots with scrambled eggs.
google avatar

Olivia D.

Yelp
Great atmosphere wings were good. Just be mindful they were kind of on the bigger end. Some may like that; I prefer smaller wings . Still would recommend
google avatar

Argishti P.

Yelp
Such a lovely and friendly environment. Customer service is great and their food and drinks are tasty.

Brian D.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place as an alternative to a few other places, we were going to try over the memorial day weekend. It could not have been more fun and more enjoyable. We got a table in the middle of the bar and could see all the TVs. The selection of drinks Was perfect and the food is a nice combination of comfort, food meats way better bar food. When we got there, they could accommodate seven of us.

Freezy S.

Yelp
The wings were phenomenal! The waitress was really helpful and told me what flavors were her favorite. I was able to get half and half of the sweet and spicy and the buffalo flavors. The wings were really big as well.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
We loved the food and all the gluten free options! They have gluten free mozzarella sticks! Almost everything on the menu is or can be made gluten free. They have a nice selection of beer/cider. We ate at a busy time and they seemed slightly understaffed. The bartender was also waiting tables, which was not ideal.

Denise Z.

Yelp
Visiting from nyc and stopped there. My adult son is gluten free and we ordered two gf cheese steaks sandwiches. So delicious. Anthony was so nice and friendly to us. Great vibe!

John H.

Yelp
SouthHouse is always great. Anthony, the owner, is very accommodating. This is a S PHL bar that has great food and a great selection of craft beer. Go there after a game. Bree kills it behind the bar. 1000% recommended SouthHouse.

Clyde M.

Yelp
I'll begin by saying that SouthHouse is a bright spot in an area that seems to have the largest collection of degenerates, delinquents, dullards, and dunces in all of South Philly East of Broad and North of Oregon. This is a genuinely good place that doesn't have any pretensions about what they are supposed to be, and it shows in the simplicity of their menu, which consists mostly of Philly classics. The food here is seemingly made from high quality ingredients, and with a high degree of care from the kitchen staff, and very reasonably priced for what is included with a burger or cheesesteak. The chicken cheesesteak in particular is expertly cooked, with the chicken nicely browned and in juicy bite sized pieces instead of being destroyed to the consistency and texture of gravel like most other places. Their marinade provides a nice, subtle flavor without being overwhelming, and the seeded roll that serves as a delivery vessel is sublime. The only flaw, and the reason for four stars and not five, is that they tend to use too much salt. My last time there I ordered a cheesesteak and while extremely tasty, I woke up the next morning feeling like I was on my way to being cured like prosciutto from the inside out. The cooks here are highly skilled, the quality of the ingredients is high and also fresh, so there really isn't a good reason for such aggressive seasoning. Aside from that relatively minor quibble, you should go there. The food is good, the portions are generous but not over the top, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is welcoming, and it isn't staffed by a collection of surly goofs.

Yelp
Our experience at SouthHouse was amazing from start to finish! The owner, Anthony, was so kind and attentive. SouthHouse is our new favorite sports bar in Philadelphia! We'll be back again soon. Something important to note- all of the appetizers are Gluten Free! This is so rare to find, especially at a sports bar. We started off with the Cracklin' Cauliflower. The menu says that it is deep fried, but it did not taste deep fried at all. It was cooked to a light, crispy perfection. The cauliflower had a kick with the hot sauce, but the Tzatziki dip was the perfect balance to cool down the spice. This appetizer reminds us of wings, but much lighter and a great option for vegetarians. We then had the sweet and savory fries. These were so delicious! The perfect combination of white and sweet potatoes with a seasoning like no other! Reminded us of old bay, but even more flavorful. These fries were nice and thin, so they were crispy. It's hard to not eat the entire basket... which we did, of course. The Big House burger was a classic cheeseburger with bacon, yet the flavor was off the charts. The burger was cooked to perfection, the bacon was crispy and bursting with flavor. Even the bun was delicious! Such a simple meal, yet SouthHouse brought us flavor to a whole new level. Lastly, we ordered the Honey Sriracha wings. These wings were so tender, the chicken nearly fell off the bone and melted into our mouths. The Honey Sriracha sauce was definitely an excellent choice, highly recommend if you're looking for something not spicy, but packed with flavor. Overall, our experience was a 10/10. SouthHouse is no ordinary sports bar, the food and service were both truly excellent! -Alex & Peri of @Coupleatss on Instagram

Yelp
Not a friendly place. Servers are rude. Too dark inside. Food isn't all that good. The martinis are way too strong. Trust me, I like my drinks strong, but this was way too strong.
google avatar

DJ J.

Yelp
Did an order to pick up was over a $100 went to go pick it up the person I spoke to was super rude to me I waited for 30 minutes then ask again. still no food and was also rube to me again. I felt off seating in there becuz I was the only black guy in there beside one of the guys that worked there. So I went and waiting in my car for 45 minute then went back in and still I was told that thy do not know what I'm talking about. So I went home no food and had to call my credit card company to get my money back. The only reason I try getting food from there was becuz my wife and her friends went there and thy loved it. but thy are all white so Guess we will never know why I never got my food and why I was treated so badly.

Yelp
Great Time...attentive staff. Karaoke was a blast! Celebrated my wife's birthday with our children/wives and cousins.

Yelp
Fantastic food and drink specials!! Bartender was knowledgeable and super friendly and attentive on a Sunday afternoon. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This place is SO good. First let's start with the sauces. All of their sauces are made in house. The honey ketchup and honey mustard are so good that I may buy a bottle as I sit here and type this. The food was quick, hot and delicious. We had the chocolate chip pancakes, breakfast bowls, spicy chicken sandwich and the cheesesteak omelet. It was such a good brunch. I'd post a pic but we crushed the food.

Yelp
Nice karaoke on Saturday night. Nice crowd. Parking sucks as it does pretty much throughout Philly.

April H.

Yelp
Love it here! The menu is creative and offers a nice variety for all food preferences: traditional, vegetarian, and gluten free. Definitely a step up from typical bar food. Perfect place for pre-game dinner, as it is fairly close to the stadiums (about 5 min drive). I dined here on a Saturday night before heading over to a Phillies game and boy do I wish I discovered this place sooner!! Large selection of beer and decent wine selection for a neighborhood type bar. Prices are also reasonable ($7.50-$8 for a glass of wine). The menu has interesting shareables (apps) such as jalapeño corn fritters, piggy back bread and crackling cauliflower. Then you can choose from rotisserie wings, burgers, salads, and entrees that are customizable by selecting the protein of your choice (meat, chicken, fish, tofu, avocado, etc), allowing for a lot of options. We started with the tuna tartare appetizer. It was a delicious marriage of asian and southwest flavors that played oh so nicely together. The tuna, fresh and delicate, was served atop avocado egg salad, with a sprinkling of sesame seeds, corn nuts and cilantro with tortilla chips to scoop it all up. The beet and arugula salad was also a winner. The arugula was lightly dressed and topped with roasted beets, fresh ricotta and toasted almonds. The ricotta had a nice light lemony flavor and was delicately seasoned with fresh herbs. Finally we ordered the taco cart with Mahi Mahi.... 3 delish corn tacos with perfectly cooked Mahi, topped with pico, cabbage slaw, radish, sesame seeds and a spicy siracha sauce. It was served with a small side salad and fresh made potato chips. The potato chips were excellent; thick and crunchy, with a combo of plain and bbq. The table next to us ordered burgers. We couldn't help but eye them up because they looked really good, so we will give them a try next time, because we are definitely coming back!!!

Yelp
My partner has celiacs and finding this place has changed the game for us! We come here a lot and have a great time and enjoy the food every visit, without worrying about them getting sick. The staff is always great. We recommend this place to our friends as much as we can! Thank you SouthHouse!

Aimee C.

Yelp
Great service and food is out of this world. Very clean and has darts and a TouchTunes! Great neighborhood vibes!!!

Andrew B.

Yelp
Food was great! I loved my burger, however the service left more to be desired. We made it known that we wanted to split our bill into 2 checks at the beginning of our meal (something I make sure to do as a fellow food service employee). They basically said that they could not do that- which is fine, but a simple no would have done the trick. However, they stated they would worry about that at the end of the meal. After waiting for a good amount of time for our bill, we then mentioned splitting it up again since we were not given a simple "no." They then gave us our bill and told us to split it up for them (okay... weird but now they can split it?). We split up all our items, however, it was made tricky due to the automatic gratuity- but we managed. We had to go up to another employee to pay the bill, and they told us multiple times to "leave two numbers." They said this as if it made sense. They wanted us to calculate our totals with included gratuity but did not explain that. Again, as a food service employee, this has never been a policy I've seen, nor do I find it effective. We ended up paying with one card because, again, we were not given a simple "no, we do not split checks." Which would have avoided this frustration. Great food though.

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday morning and it was pretty empty. At first we were a little skeptical because it looked like your average south philly sports bar but we saw this on yelp when searching for gluten free brunch places and decided to give it a try. We were most definitely not disappointed. If the dish wasn't already GF they had options to make it GF including the french toast. Usually when they offer this, challah french toast becomes sad sliced bread french toast, but not here! I got the french toast GF and it was thick, fluffy bread that was almost like challah bread. Honestly couldn't even tell it was GF. The waitress told me that they get their GF breads from a bakery in Philly which made me extra excited. My friend got the GF pancakes with the berry syrup and he said they were super fluffy and not as sweet as he thought they would be which is a plus. We also took a look at their draft and alcohol list and they had at least 8 options of ciders and GF beers that are frequently rotated. When we went they had two glutenberg's and a Mission beer for the GF options. They also have plenty of non-GF beer and alcohol options. We talked with the waitress who told us that the owner has Celiac's and wanted to make sure that there were plenty of tasty GF options available and boy did he deliver. Definitely would return if we're in the area again!

Yelp
One of the best bars in South Philadelphia! Great draft & bottle selection, plenty of bar and table seating, and a fantastic food menu with Gluten-free options which is rare in the area. One of my go to spots to bring friends & family when they visit the neighborhood. Be sure to try the burgers - can't go wrong.

Yelp
My niece was visiting from Maryland and has NEVER enjoyed a cheesesteak because she has celiac disease and must adhere to a strict gluten-free diet. Imagine her excitement to find SouthHouse offered a huge gluten free menu which included a cheesesteak. To see her close her eyes and enjoy her first cheesesteak made my day. I was so excited to see her so happy I forgot I also ordered food, a breakfast burger and fries ... also super delicious. I'll definitely be back
