Southport Taqueria on Diversey is a solid neighborhood spot when you're craving tacos that hit the spot without breaking the bank. I swung by for Taco Tuesday and ordered an Al Pastor taco ($4.95), a Chorizo taco ($4.50), and the SouthPort Special taco ($6.50) . The Al Pastor was juicy with a nice pineapple kick, and the Chorizo had that perfect spicy-salty balance. The SouthPort Special was loaded with guac, banana peppers, and queso fresco—definitely the standout. I also grabbed an Elote Street Style ($5.99), which was creamy and flavorful . The place has a chill, no-frills vibe, and the staff is super friendly. Only reason it's not a full five stars is that the steak taco I tried on a previous visit was a bit underseasoned, but overall, it's a great spot for a quick and tasty meal.
