Everything is HUGE and excellent. We ordered the pepperoni rolls and 2 giant slices, it was for 2 people and we were not able to finish it all. Service was prompt, the bathroom was clean, and both of the people working there were very nice. It was a great experience and I'll definitely be back!

Very good pizza. Not the best I've had but very good. Appears small from outside, but inside is spacious with 2 story seating. Friendly staff. Usually plenty of parking. Pizza just needed a bit more sauce or sauce flavor to be in my top 3 pizza spots. Definitely coming again though

First time eating here I live in the area. The pizza was ok, just a lil bit too over priced. You could really compare the pizza to lil caesars. I felt ripped off until I tried the wings, the wings saved the day. I’ll prolly be back for the wings more than anything else. The spaghetti was horrible, I’ve never ate cloned meat but I can assure you there meatballs taste similar, maybe would’ve been better if the added more sauce. It was very dry. All in all, it’s a nice atmosphere, would be a cool place to catch the game or just chill w/ a friends or something.

Google
1st time eating there, original Buffalo wings are great! Large Pep Pizza was great also. Plenty of screens to catch an Astros game 👀

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and given a menu! We selected/paid for what we wanted and found seats downstairs right away. We were checked on constantly and felt very comfortable. The pizza took about 10 to 15 minutes to come out and we were not disappointed. We ordered the Athena and it was great! All the ingredients listed were on each slice and yes the crust was thin but it didn’t take away from the way the pizza tasted. They accidentally gave us BBQ wings (didn’t pay for them) but allowed us to keep them. They were bomb as well. They had a great selection of drinks- she gave me a sample of their margarita (so good). The cookie at the end was gone before we left, I love chocolate chunks and nuts. Overall, I will be back if I’m in the area.

I walked in was greeted! Place smelled delicious! Sweet gentlemen who took my order. I ordered pizza, but when I tried to order non pizza stuff they were out. So I was like ok it's a pizza place, I'll settle for just pizza!. Then when I get my order it just looks so sad 😞. Looked like pizza from the frozen section at grocery store. Taste was okay... I liked the chuckee cheese pizza I had last week much better 😋.

Google
Southside Flying Pizza has good pizza, but we were mistreated and had our money taken from us. We ordered an extra large pizza and was given a large pizza. We did catch this until it was too late. They didn't give us a receipt so there was no proof of our purchase. Too bad of a situation. I would give them a try again but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. I would not recommend to my friends or family.

Google
I ordered online and when we got there, there was a line of folks. Our food was a bit delayed and I was still ok with that. It was my first time there so I thought that the crowd was a sign that the pizza would be the bomb and was disappointed when it was not. At best it is average and to be honest I'd rather spend my 23 bucks on something from Dominos. I really wanted to like the pizza based on the reviews but wasn't impressed at all. The flavors were alright. The five cheese pizza had all the ricotta in a glob in the middle of the pizza, not really spread so that you could get the flavors in every bite as I would have liked. The marinara has a slight sweet taste which I dont mind at all and the crust which is usually my favorite part of the pizza was burned so I didn't take more than one bite before I threw it away.

Yelp
These guys used to be one of my favorite pizza spots in the area, but the quality has really fallen off since they opened. Also, they need to update their operating hours on Yelp and Google. I came here for a late lunch on a Friday (around 2:30 pm). Upon arrival, I found a closed sign in the window that a worker inside pointed to. It read they wouldn't be open until 4:55 pm. It would've been nice to know before driving all the way over there. Multiple people were walking up to the door and were just as surprised. Please update the hours of operation.

Yelp
Location is walking distance/right next door to Cidercade. Casual vibe, upstairs seating. Plenty of TV's to watch a game.
google avatar

Kristina A.

Yelp
Just picked this pizza up to eat with the fam while enjoying cidercade next door. It was piping hot and the toppings were delish! Perfect cheese pull. It got eaten up before I could even snap a quick pic. Definitely recommend and will order again when the fam gets hungry for a hot cheesy treat!
google avatar

Yelp
Unfortunately, this particular location of Southside Just isn't very good. The pizza dough often has seemed undercooked while the other ingredients are burnt. Last time I was in, they had the counter pulled apart and were cleaning on a slow night. The smell of cleaning chemicals takes away from the aroma of what should be delicious fresh pizza. This business isn't alone in lacking the understanding that food should be a sensory experience. I really wish they could get help from someone at one of the Austin locations to get this one back on track.

Yelp
Two words, NEVER AGAIN! Staff not polite, food questionable. Wanted to order a cheese steak and was told, sorry the grill is turned off. At 6PM the grill is turned off, really?
google avatar

Joselin B.

Yelp
Pizza and mozzarella sticks were so delicious . Music was awesome and they were so attentive. Truly recommend this place .

Yelp
Horrible. Food was horrible. Chicken Tenders with French Fries & BBQ Sauce $11.00 and Medium 12" King of Pepperoni with Well Done, Double Cut $16.00 and Surcharge (4.95%) $1.34 because I placed my order online. Needless to say the online picture for chicken tenders are not what I physically was served and purchased. I could have went to McDonald's and purchased chicken nuggets. I did a comparison in the gallery pictures. I arrived and the staff look lost, like a deer in headlights, they seemed very unorganized. The pizza was overloaded with grease and it was placed in Large oversized box. Not eating here ever again.

Yelp
I was having a blast eating this nice cheesy pizza. You need to try this!!! You should get this. The service was excellent, the food came in quick.

Yelp
This place is conveniently located across from Cidercade, which means they get really busy. So, expect a wait for your pizza. I feel like we may have waited about 35 minutes to 40 minutes, which to me is reasonable given the location. We had the flying Hawaiian pizza. Medium sized for a charge of $20. The flavor of the pizza was a solid 3.5 out of 5. I guess I just wished it was less onions or possibly smaller slices of onions, a tad more bbq sauce and pineapples. But, nonetheless, I gobbled that pizza down. They had other pizza options I would consider trying if ever in the area again.
google avatar

Andy Y.

Yelp
Within walking distance to the Cidercade where our party was, we decided to order a few pizzas. There were pre-made pizzas to order by the slice and a full menu. We ordered 2 large pizzas, which both were good but was just saturated with cheese (good if that is your thing). The service was friendly and quick as it wasn't too busy for a Saturday lunch. Enjoy!

Yelp
The pizza was fab. And the rolls weren't what I expected but they were tasty. The whole place was overly warm, but can't expect much else when the pizza oven is in the middle of the space. This made it uncomfortable to stay here and eat. Not sure if this will matter to many people, but it was very cool to see an all female staff working here.
google avatar

Keke F.

Yelp
I went on a Friday afternoon cause I was in the area. So I decided to try the wings and for me they was just okay. I was hungry and they did the job. Would I go back yes, but I wouldn't order the wings again. There was a really nice black lady that worked there the day I came and she was very nice and had good customer service. She seemed to make sure all the customers was happy which was nice.

Yelp
If you ask for a slice, you pay $7 for something they put in the microwave and it tastes like that ...insult to pizza . Skip here.
google avatar

Yelp
I sat at the bar and ordered a hot plate of Pepperoni Pizza rolls, which they made fresh in front of me and served with extra sauce (marinara and ranch). The staff was rally nice, checked in if I needed anything at just the right times. Were they the best pizza rolls I ever had? No. Were they served hot and fresh? And did I enjoy them? Absolutely.

Yelp
2 things about this place. I got a Facebook offer for a buy 1 get 1 free offer. I was ordering a trio italiano that is intheir website and they said we don't have thay pizza. I told them the ingredients and he said i have to talk to my manager. It isnt that hard to input the ingredients. Then I said I will just order something else and he hung up on me. Then when I call back, they had my name in the system now. I said i am trying to order my pizza when yiu hung up on me. He says no I didn't. I said whatever let me order my pizzas. I told him I am trying to redeem my buy 1 get 1 free pizza. He says we don't do that. I said it's on your Facebook through messenger. He say no we don't. I just hung up.

Yelp
Ordered pizza, wings, and fries, and when I arrived to pick up my order, they realized they' had given my wings to someone else. Since I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to remake the wings, I asked them twice to make me some fresh fries , and they completely ignored my request. Both the manager and the guy making the food were complicit in ignoring me. I asked to just have the wings taken off the order and my money refunded, but the manager refused this request. If they had not made the wings yet, why would they have a problem refunding me my money? These guys are clueless about customer service, and I will not be going back! They must not realize that there are 100+ other places I can go in Houston for pizza and wings.

Yelp
Great place to eat some pizza There's a lot of good pizza places I wouldn't miss this one. If you're somewhere in the area, go there and eat a good slab of pie. It's delicious.
google avatar

Greg V.

Yelp
Ok pizza, awful service. When I walked to the counter to order, 2 employees looked at me and then argued over who should help me. After about a minute of arguing the decision was made as to who should take my order. From that moment on the person helping me was just terribly rude. She acted like I was inconveniencing her by paying and placing an order. Anyways, I won't be going there again. You shouldn't either.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Cute little pizza place. Great location in regards to ciderade across the parking long. It wasn't the best of pizza out there. However it got the job done. Id say decent price. The food timing was slightly off. But overall for location it would work again in the future.

Yelp
It's hard to mess up pizza, but they did their best. I've never had thin crust that was half-cooked and gummy before. We also ordered a salad with chicken and the chicken was like cold rubber. Also the ice machine was broken so we were going to be washing it down with warm drinks. The salad was an entree but it came out 20 minutes before everyone else's food. After my wife had finished her salad (setting aside the chicken to take home to the dog) I asked when the the pizza would be done and they said "when it's done..." Probably worth mentioning that another family had come in, ordered, been seated, gotten their pizza and nearly finished in that time so I'm thinking they forgot and then rushed the cooking or something. Which you know, mistakes happen! But when I let them know we were going to just leave our uneaten undercooked pizza and go, all I got was an eye roll. I understand everyone is under a lot of stress nowadays, but there's no reason to respond to polite questions from customers with disrespect.
google avatar

Yelp
This place opened up and it was great! Not so much now. The staff are not courteous ordered the lunch specials with salads. My friend and I waited upstairs for 30 minutes without them even bringing out our salads. I asked for a refund and left - didn't even get a "I'm sorry." SO we try to give this place another chance - the same exact food cost 2X as much because they do not offer the special anymore. So we sat at the bar to avoid being forgotten about like last time - ordered a pizza and literally watch it sit on the counter for 10 minutes before we asked if it was ours. AND IT WAS. LOL STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE PEOPLE. NOW IT'S REALLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Yelp
Talk about a little gem in a mountain of poo, you must try this place! You could drive by this place a hundred times and not expect what is inside, but once you try it, you might see why the others have rated it is 5 stars. Let me start out with the pizza, mostly it's thin crust, I did not see any Chicago-style pizza but the taste and the balance of the sauce and ingredients is spot-on. I get excited thinking about I have found the ultimate Pizza that I've been searching for since the early 90s and opening time before going into the early 90's like what Papa John's and Domino's style pizza had about 25 years ago. Since then, they've changed their recipe. I've never have been able to find that recipe run like that but only but a few places until NOW and here we are! Before I get into anything else about here I must GIVE a 10 star kudo to the staff here. I really have never never in my life experienced such kind, helpful and unobtrusive employees at a pizza place before until NOW! If any of you pizza parlor owners get a chance, you should really go and check out how they are trained here and then you might understand that this is pretty much top notch for what you'd really ask for in a pizza place in a hidden corner of the end cap. All the way from the cashier, to the people cleaning the little dining room area and I am pretty much sure the pizza makers as well, thank you for the wonderful experience you have shown me. There is somewhat maybe a very mature aged gentleman in the mix and I am not sure if he is the owner or the manager, but altogether off, him and the crew hit the service ball out of the park in the name of good and humble service. An example would be, while I was eating at the small table somewhat by the soda machine, the female red haired employee was sweeping and coming into my area of bubble in which she kindly asked if she was getting too close to my area because she wanted to "respect my eating pad" and do not want me to worry about kickibg up any dust. ( any other place especially in Asian place would you sweep over your foot if you know what I mean) . Another time is me not eating asking for a to-go box to finish my $10 14 in pizza but receiving a to-go box anyways without asking. Can anybody tell me who does that these days? Well, not many. I bought a small bottle of liquor two doors down and stopped here to ask for a cup of ice which I was more than willing to pay for, was not charged but was given to me happily without a twitch. $2 in your tip jar ma'am thank you for a wonderful experience I will be back the next time I come here, oh wait I did come back. That is partially what lured me here as well. The food, not only do they have pizza here but sandwiches as well and I pretty much forgot exactly what year was because I was excited about everything else but rest assured you can get a cheesesteak sandwich here, meatball sandwich and some other items in which you might want to visit their website to see. You could also get your pizza to go here and bring it inside the cidercade that is next door. I do not think you can bring drinks in there since they sell beverages but that might be a gray area. I forgot to mention that there is also an upstairs where you can eat as well since this is a miniature sqft establishment.

Tameka B.

Yelp
You will never regret eating here. I promise. Everything is fresh and great. The staff is always so welcoming and helpful. Love it here. Everyone I have told about it loves and raves about it.
google avatar

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Super yummy and fun place to grab lunch. I had the Wednesday special of pizza rolls for $1. I chose 4 and they were all great!! They serve beer and wine. The upstairs loft area is super cute. Really fun vibe. And Glynis is awesome!
google avatar

Brettny J.

Yelp
I got the Southsider gluten free. It was good and cheaper than the other place I go to for good gluten free pizza. But it's too far, so I'll probably never really come here.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
Got hungry while gaming next door at ciderarcade! Came here and was wooed! Omg probably the best pizza I've had in Houston! The crust was thin and crunchy! Loved it! The toppings, cheese, and sauce were top-notched! Simply just a damn good pizza! I wished the XL pizza that we ordered was a bit larger tho haha
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Besides this nasty black hair all over the pizza (I'm blonde) they also forgot all the sauces we paid extra for. Not even icing for the cinnamon twists. Saw many reviews stating this is an issue here but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Never ever coming back here and honestly they should be shut down for their dirty pizza and horrible customer service.
google avatar

Lizbeth V.

Yelp
We were disappointed in our pizza tonight. The cheese was like "gritty" (if that makes sense) crust was way thinner and not enough pepperoni.

Dale G.

Yelp
We ordered online for a birthday party at cidercade. Received a confirmation of our order over email, showed up to pick up at 530 and saw this. Nobody ever showed. So here's a suggestion. If you are going to accept orders online, show the hell up. Oh yeah, by the way, Papa John's on Canal and Lockwood totally bailed us out. Those guys are awesome. Eat there instead cuz Southside sucks!!!!
google avatar

Kylie T.

Yelp
Visiting a photographer down the road so we wanted to grab lunch, not only were the pizzas delicious, the salads were fresh with a great ranch dressing and the dessert brownies were so rich Plus the staff were so friendly and helpful! A MUST GO if you're in the area! We'll be returning for sure!
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
We used to love this place but recently the quality has dropped down dramatically. I ordered a Southside pizza that was all cheese with a few droppings of toppings. Not what it used to be. I will say that customer service has always been great.

Cameron C.

Yelp
I ordered a pizza online at 11:30am for 5:15p delivery. At 4:32p I got a text saying my pizza was ready. At 5:17p I got a text saying my pizza was en route with Favor. My pizza was delivered by Favor at 5:38p. It was cold. The pizza was fine. Just super late. Cold. I wish it was warm. It was $10 for delivery and we tipped an additional 20%, so pretty disappointed.
google avatar

Tiffany W.

Yelp
As soon as me and my friend Joshua walked in we were greeted by a young girl named Lady who gave us enough time to look at the menu & decide our order. The pizza was so delicious! It was nice to have a pizza shop near the cidercade because they don't serve food there.
google avatar

Dee O.

Yelp
We came here due to the fact that CiderCade does not serve food. I had 7 kids with me at the time (ages 9, 12, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17). So of course the kiddos got hungry eventually. I first ordered 2 large pizzas (one beef, one chicken). I had them double cut it as well. Well those kids swallowed those two extra large pizzas. I ended up ordering 2 more. The prices for the pizzas were $25/each. I did not mind since only one of those kids were mine and the parents were paying me back. When I first entered, the young lady at the register was very kind. I actually like the set up of the place. They offer more than just pizza but that is what the kids wanted. I'm glad I signed up for their rewards because on my second visit, I got a pretty nice discount. The pizzas were good and hot. They really enjoyed them. The only reason why I gave this place 4 stars was because all of their pizzas from what I was told is thin crust. I think that should be optional and that is why we blew through the fist two extra large pizzas. Even the kids asked for thicker crust. That would have been great considering that one of the kids was a 6'4" 16 year old (lol). I told them after that second batch, that was it for us, no more.
google avatar

Elizabeth J.

Yelp
I told myself no more carbs. Then the cravings kicked in. If I'm going to cheat on a diet, it needs to be worthwhile. Omg. This thin crust pizza was delicious. It's actually gotten better each time I order. This is a neighborhood gem and very affordable. I'm in love. I felt like it was my birthday with each bite. Yesssssss!!! Highly recommended.
google avatar

Lyn C.

Yelp
I had pizza from this place about a month ago and it was off the chain. Went back today and it was just the opposite. HORRIBLE!! PIZZZA was hardly cooked the slices were not cut, the pizza was so thin and the pepperoni was scarce at best. I would have done better to go to Pizza Hut that is how awful the pizza was. It was a soggy mess . I definitely will NEVER return
google avatar

Sandy M.

Yelp
The customer service is the worst I've encountered for years. The staff is rude, they were out of several ingredients and the pizza wasn't tasty. I also saw a staff member use the register with gloves on and then they started handling food.
google avatar

Jason Y.

Yelp
Well, friend promised me a great and amazing pizza roll lunch for 4 pizza rolls for 4 dollars on Wednesday's. The cashier did not how to ring it up or honor the special. He was very unwilling to provide customers service. We ended up ordering a pizza which was ringed up incorrectly with the pizza 12 dollar sign right behind him.
google avatar

Daniel A.

Yelp
Love the za here! The staff are great too, as an East Ender it is great to see a solid pizza shop in the area. They serve double slices which makes a single order enough and have a line up of pizzas to get a quick slice of. They have a developing bar set up too with a nice wall of TVs, plenty of seating to chill and enjoy a drink while waiting for your slice or pizza. Felt obligated to shine some light on my new fav pizza spot since some "experts" have given their two cents worth.

Jairo Octavio V.

Yelp
Food was good can't complain If you're looking for a pizza that is gonna wow you like A Chicago based pizza or New York you're going to be disappointed.Maybe i went on a good day based off the reviews. Service was good. I liked the flow of the restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Pizza night for us! Tonight we enjoyed dinner at a local pizza place in Houston @southsideflyingpizzahouston. They're an Austin based pizza place with scratch-made gourmet pizzas with a crust that is just perfect. The pizza we had above is the Athena (mediterranean) with grilled chicken to add some protein. They also offer wings and gluten-free pizzas. We hope you guys will try it out one day for some incredible pizzas! 2240 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003

Angela G.

Yelp
My goodness if I could give negative stars I would. I waited 1hr for 3 pizzas. I am not even sure if the man making the pizzas has washed his hands as he was moving from the back of the kitchen to the front. Girls at the front are nice, but if the cooks spent less time chatting/ on their phones they'd be better at making the pizzas faster.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
40 mins for a pepperoni pizza and cheese sticks on a slow day is asking a lot. Food quality is good but don't come if you don't plan an waiting a long time.
google avatar

Javier M.

Yelp
Place is clean Restrooms are clean and excellent Nice ambience Pizza is excellent Presentation is pizzazz Workers are Texas friendly We would definitely come back here
google avatar

Tracy N.

Yelp
See original review. Edited to add back missing photos. Photos didn't properly attach to the original review.
google avatar

Yelp
Updating my review. If i could give negative stars I would. Staff are unfriendly and inattentive. Whole place is absolutely trashed. I had to bus a table myself. Food is always good, if you are willing to wait an hour longer than quoted, and thats if they even remember your order lol. Literally the worst example of service I could ever imagine.
google avatar

Gilbert R.

Yelp
Great Lunch Specials! A "slice" of pizza is a quarter of a normal pie! Exceptional thin crust, and good toppings. One of the better pizza choices that Houston has to offer.
google avatar

Gaby H.

Yelp
Small pizzeria but has big flavors! The pizza is so delicious! Wings were amazing too! Decided to try this place after a day of video games next door at Cidercade! So glad we came to try it it was absolutely delicious! Super friendly staff and amazing food I would highly suggest to come with family or friends to eat some good quality pizza! It can get pretty busy so if you're not able to dine in... definitely order to go!

Yelp
We came in and tried to order pizza and we were told they were out of pizza and pizza rolls. We ended up ordering the fried pickles and a 6 piece garlic Parmesan wings. The fried pickles were complete mush and inedible and the wings were extremely dry and flavorless. We left hungry and ended up eating somewhere else.
