A Saturday tradition since 1926, this indoor market mixes multigenerational farm stalls, a classic lunch counter, and wood-stove warmth. Featured by Food & Wine and covered locally for its 99th season in April 2025.

Wow! My wife has never been to Southside market. I took her there Saturday and for me it was deja 'vu. Mom took my brother and I on the bus weekly to buy fresh produce and bread. This was back in the 1960's and 1970's. Wow! Many great memories. RIP Mom. My turn. ♥️

With nearly 100 years of operation, the South Side Farmer's Market is just a cool place to visit. Some of Fort Wayne's best eggs, tea, and meats can be found here. They are working on getting additional vendors as well. Support local businesses and the South Side all in one stop!

This was our first time. Was so fun. Lots of yummy fruits and veggies, knick-knacks, clothes, baked goods... we will definitely be back! Everyone was so nice! The sweetest strawberries we've ever had.

I grew up with Southside Market living on Agnes street right in front of it. I used to go with my mom every single Saturday to by fresh fruits and vegetables and she always got me an ice cream cone. I'm now a resident of Louisville, Kentucky but when I am in Fort Wayne on a weekend I still find time to go to the market. I have always loved that place and the people working there.

We love the fresh made items. Such as bake goods and fram fresh potted plants. You have got to come for tea and breakfest made so unique.. All items are very affordable and high Quality.. You have to hear the troubadour.. and the pie man.. not to mention the the cherry man. Stoping to warm by the heated little metal furnaces.. enjoyed also the drug store items.. and books.. so many plants and books and rocks.. most days pembroke bread.

Yelp
We like flea markets and farmer markets so we dropped in on The Southside Market this morning. It's an old facility but clean with plenty of parking on and off the street. Fresh bread and pastries caught our eye . We came home with sourdough cinnamon rolls, cookies and two types of fresh bread. It is really early in the season so the produce is limited but will be plentiful as the summer progresses. As we shopped we picked up some fresh eggs and some thick pork chops and sausage. It was interesting to note that at least one farmer sold produce, fresh eggs and her kids were on hand selling 3D laser printer items. Others sold handmade things and clothes etc. So the market is a nice place to visit on a Saturday morning

Yelp
First visit here and I was really looking forward to it. About 30 seconds after I walk in a scratchy voiced lady peaks her head in from outside to ask if i had a mask. Politely I said yes and I pulled it out. As I was about to put it on i said, I'll put it on if everybody else does. She then asked who's not wearing a mask, i replied with everyone, literally nobody in here has a mask on, yourself included. She said thats why I'm outside. I said okay so....are you going to make everyone else wear a mask or just me, bc i don't mind walking out? She hollered, "Nancy, mask!" I said this is ridiculous I'm outta here. I'm all for following the rules but not exceptionally. Surprised this craphole has made it so long.
