I Absolutely love this restaurant. I came here with my fiancée for lunch as we were given a gift card from a family member. It was our first time here. I booked a table in advance via email. Helen was very helpful in assisting me with this and it was very simple . On arrival we were greeted by 2 members of staff with lovely smiles , Juan and another lady both showed us to our table I didn't catch her name but she was nice to us both. We sat down and another waiter served us, he was lovely and had a great sense of humour. Lots of laughs and made us feel welcome too. We ordered olives and bread as we just wanted something light to start. The bread arrived warm and butter was freshly made in house. It was a very generous portion for £5 as well. I thought it would just be a few slices but it wasnt. This certainly came as a surprise , we ate it aĺl and enjoyed it. I must add the butter was very tasty. Weird thing to say but ive not had real fresh butter in years so this made me smile. , my fiancée ordered a special of the day with was a ribeye.I ordered the steak frites and salad. Both steaks were cooked to perfection , melt in the mouth and most certainly worth every penny. The accompanying sauces were freshly made too. It was so tasty!! The flat iron steak (steak frites dish ) was much thicker that I thought it was going to be. I was delighted by this. The staff were efficient, they did ask us if we were finished before clearing our table for our desserts. I ordered the apple tart fine. My partner ordered the vanilla cheesecake. We both agreed that the apple tart was sublime! It was the best apple tart I've ever eaten. I would most certainly recommend this couples, family, friends. The restaurant itself is stunning inside, i loved the character of it and it is spotless. I could find no fault of this restaurant and it was refreshing to find a place with such high standards and everyone being friendly too. I will most certainly be back and have recommended already to family and friends. I felt so special here. The service, the food, everything was perfect! Thank you again to all who interacted with us and served us. From the moment we were greeted at the beginning to the moment we left, all the staff were friendly, attentive and smiling. Nothing was too much trouble. We didn't feel rushed at any point and we loved feeling like a VIP here. Thank you to you all at Soutine.

The atmosphere is very nice and since the weather was great we had the chance to sit outside. The service was also great and the staff were respectful and friendly. However, the food was not the best. We ordered club sandwich, and spinach egg Benedict and we didn’t like the taste of them.

Amazing spot for lunch on a sunny day in the tables outside, but also lovely on the inside. We had the onion soup it was fantastic, same as the superfood salad. Kids had a nice hamburger to share which was even coming w 2 small fries. Really good time and food, will come back.

Good tasting food but meals are small and to the point, you need to add additions on to mains to make a full meal so not recommended for lunch especially if you're a hearty eater! Service was minimal, we were not initially asked about drinks until after we had our orders taken. The atmosphere is really wonderful, beautiful decadent french style, and family friendly. A wide variety of art and ceiling window artwork crested a unique venue.

One of my favorite restaurant in London, i go there at least once a week , the food is freshly prepared, tasty and well presented, staff members are friendly and polite, i highly recommend this place.

Dreadful -avoid 1st visit last November was pretty good. The 2nd visit yesterday was awful. Arrived at 18.00 for a table booked online for 2 people. Once started the service was rushed, to the point that as the starters were cleaned up the mains arrived at the same time. I’d barely finished my main when a rather obnoxious waiter asked if we were having dessert - we suggested we might like to take a minute, given it was now 19.10 and we actually wanted to catch up & chat as we’d not see each other for a while. 2 minutes later another waiter walked over, interrupted our conversation and said they wanted our table for another booking! I explained I’d booked online 2 days prior and at no point did the reservation state a table slot time - given we’d been sat for 1hr 10 minutes and had just ordered additional wine we were both flabbergasted at the rudeness & shear cheek of it. Unbeknownst to us the waiter was wanting us paid & out of the door in 1.5hrs… so much for a leisurely Saturday night out. Food was ok, average but not at any point better than that. We called over the manager and his attitude pretty much sucked. Won’t ever return nor recommend - looking at a fair few reviews Soutine is very much hit & miss with comments pretty regularly mentioning obnoxious staff/management. Avoid and go somewhere they actually want repeat business.

Classic interior design and I am in love with it. The starter beef tartare was good; The main duck confit was nicely cooked but flavour was mediocre; another main we ordered was grilled chicken, which was very dry and flavourless, I do not recommend.

Nice neighborhood bistro in the St John's Wood area. The food was VERY good, had a filet which was delicious and a bowl of their divine onion soup. Service was on-point, the staff were attentive and friendly despite the absolutely full dining room and bar. The only negative was that it was noisy, but that also added to the ambiance Prices were reasonable for London, very good value for the excellent quality fare. Would definitely go back again.

A great French dinner on a rainy evening in London was the best way to end the day. Soutine is only a 5 minute walk from my sister's house and it was a perfect spot to go. We probably were the last customers for the evening as they close at midnight as were were walking out. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Started with the escargot appetizer, delicious with great flavor of butter and what seemed to be a basil/pesto paste. The bread that came along really hot the spot. I probably could have gone without entree as I felt stuffed after the escargot and bread helpings. Sea bass was a great light entree choice after the appetizer. Served on a bed of broccoli it was seared well on the skin side. The rest of the party had the breaded veal which was a great choice as well. The dessert could feed an entire table, chocolate mousse dessert was delicious and very large portion for the table... definitely a place that you can count on a solid great French meal.

Very small space therefore, the tables are very close together which will make the setting quite loud. Service was fantastic as well as the food.

Nice food and employees and also the decor is great.but the lemonade was not great....the chips were good!!!and it was good social distance

Nice patio seating in St Johns Wood across from the church gardens. Service is friendly although slow; it took a good 15 minutes to get the menu. I had their chicken and tarragon salad, a glass of Pinot Noir, and a little cup of castelvetrano olives. I originally found it in Eater's hottest restaurants - July 2019. Would recommend it for those in the area.
