The 11 Best Restaurants Near Regent’s Park - London - The Infatuation

"This spot on St John’s Wood High Street is an absolutely faithful reproduction of someone’s slightly faded memory of a cafe they visited in Paris when they were on their French exchange. In fact it’s so faithful a reproduction it would feel like a naff themed restaurant if it wasn’t actually quite good at what it does. Granted, we’ve never seen a super green salad on offer in any of the legendary cafes on the Boulevard du Montparnasse. But, if you want to catch up with friends after a day in the park or take your grandparents out for a decent steak frites with béarnaise sauce and a frankly excellent salted caramel éclair, you could do far worse. Plus, it’s only a five-minute walk from the park." - Rianne Shlebak, Jake Oliver, Heidi Lauth Beasley, Sinead Cranna

Fantastic French Dining at Soutine! Had an amazing meal at Soutine in St John’s Wood. The escargots were delicious, full of garlicky herb butter and perfect with the fresh bread. Steaks were cooked beautifully and came with a tasty Béarnaise sauce and crisp greens. We also tried the scallops, which were sweet, tender, and paired with a lovely creamy sauce. The atmosphere feels like a classic Parisian brasserie, elegant yet relaxed, and the service was warm and attentive. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic French cuisine in London. We’ll definitely be back!

We walked in as a party of two and were warmly welcomed 😊. The staff was attentive and made us feel comfortable right away. The scallops were perfectly cooked tender and melting in the mouth 😋. The chicken liver, combined with caramelized onions and a slice of fresh bread 🥖, was absolutely spot-on. The duck breast was surprisingly tender 🦆, and the rib-eye steak was grilled to perfection 🥩,truly one of the best I’ve ever had. While the side dishes could use a little more attention, the quality of the main courses really stood out ⭐️. To finish, the crème brûlée was phenomenal, honestly beyond words 🍮. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back! 👍

Very good in the area which lacks top restaurants. This is my 3rd visit in the last 7 days! Recommend the artichoke, beetroot salad, crab, duck breast And it is dog friendly!

Hands down my favorite French restaurant in London! 🇫🇷✨ Had the most fantastic time with my bubu ♥️. so relaxed and happy. So grateful for the experience From the escargot to every dish we tried, everything was delicious. Huge thanks for the amazing service and the best seats in the house. Can’t wait to come back again… with my bubu

Great atmosphere and service! Sat outside on the terrace for a sunny drink and dinner. Food was good, had the steak tartare, really enjoyed the fries! Peaceful spot

The pan-fried salmon was good. The steak was pan-fried well, but the quality of the meat itself was very ordinary, not like the quality of meat that a fancy restaurant should have. Good vibe.

Soutine, nestled in St. John's Wood, is a delightful French restaurant offering enjoyable dining experience. The Chicken Schnitzel was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked – tender and juicy – the accompanying sauce was incredibly flavourful, complementing the dish beautifully. The wine selection was great with both the Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc proving excellent choices. They also had a good selection of dessert wines, a nice touch. To finish, we indulged in the superb apple tart. Overall, Soutine offers a nice atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly, helpful staff. I liked the gesture of taking our coats, so we had plenty of space and didn't have to worry about carrying coats and umbrellas. Highly recommended – a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for French food.

One of my favourite spots in London! I absolutely love the chicken salad and the fillet — always perfectly cooked. The fries with béarnaise sauce are just delicious! The service is consistently friendly and welcoming. During the summer months, I especially enjoy sitting outside on the terrace — it’s such a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Nice neighborhood bistro in the St John's Wood area. The food was VERY good, had a filet which was delicious and a bowl of their divine onion soup. Service was on-point, the staff were attentive and friendly despite the absolutely full dining room and bar. The only negative was that it was noisy, but that also added to the ambiance Prices were reasonable for London, very good value for the excellent quality fare. Would definitely go back again.

Yelp
A great French dinner on a rainy evening in London was the best way to end the day. Soutine is only a 5 minute walk from my sister's house and it was a perfect spot to go. We probably were the last customers for the evening as they close at midnight as were were walking out. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Started with the escargot appetizer, delicious with great flavor of butter and what seemed to be a basil/pesto paste. The bread that came along really hot the spot. I probably could have gone without entree as I felt stuffed after the escargot and bread helpings. Sea bass was a great light entree choice after the appetizer. Served on a bed of broccoli it was seared well on the skin side. The rest of the party had the breaded veal which was a great choice as well. The dessert could feed an entire table, chocolate mousse dessert was delicious and very large portion for the table... definitely a place that you can count on a solid great French meal.

Yelp
Very small space therefore, the tables are very close together which will make the setting quite loud. Service was fantastic as well as the food.

Yelp
Nice patio seating in St Johns Wood across from the church gardens. Service is friendly although slow; it took a good 15 minutes to get the menu. I had their chicken and tarragon salad, a glass of Pinot Noir, and a little cup of castelvetrano olives. I originally found it in Eater's hottest restaurants - July 2019. Would recommend it for those in the area.
