"Ready for a barbecue truck to take you to outer space? This one from pitmaster Logan Glenn (Big Woodrow’s, Chi’Lantro BBQ), features a menu of brisket ($16/half pound), spare ribs ($13/half pound or $40 for a full rack), turkey ($13/half pound), pulled pork ($12/half pound), sausage and boudin ($7 per link), and pork belly burnt ends ($14/half pound) that won’t break the bank. The sides are inventive, with options including burnt end pinto beans and corn bread casserole, while fun dishes like barbecue nachos and the Space Jam burger are sure to tempt diners." - Courtney E. Best Dishes Eater Houston’s Editor Ate This Month: April 2025 | Eater Houston

"A Baytown-area barbecue lunch spot whose spare ribs stand out for their balanced smoky, tender, and juicy texture; they pair well with a tangy barbecue sauce that cuts through the fattiness even though the ribs don’t really need it. The brisket is a close second, with a glistening center and well-developed bark, and the potato salad is a classic, creamy, and well-balanced side. The reviewer plans to return to try the cornbread casserole." - Brittany Britto Garley

The Best Barbecue Restaurants in Houston Right Now | Eater Houston

"Take a trip to Baytown to try out this barbecue food truck. You’ll be rewarded with some of the best barbecue in the Houston area. If it’s you’re first time, start with a plate that offers a sampling. Opt for at least the $23 two-meat, two-side plate — the tender spare ribs and brisket, served with a side of tangy, vinegar-forward barbecue sauce, are a must. Then, choose between the sides, which include smoky burnt end pinto beans, a thick and extra-rich macaroni and cheese, cornbread casserole, and a solid potato salad. On your return visit, consider its specials, which include $10 tacos for two, $14 barbecue nachos, and a $50 sampler (two 1⁄2 pound servings of meat, tacos, and two medium sides) — a steal if you’ve got a dining partner." - Brittany Britto Garley

The best BBQ that I know of for purchase anywhere near Mont Belvieu, Baytown, Anahuac, or Highlands. I seriously believe buying BBQ anywhere else in these areas is a waste of money unless there is some hidden gem that I am unaware of. I’ve had some very good home cooked BBQ and I have had some really good BBQ at a few select locations around Houston, but here locally around Baytown the chains I’m accustomed too have nothing on this establishment. The biggest complaint I’ve heard is their hours make it tough to get there, but I will tell you this, the meats coming out of this little food truck are an experience more than a meal, and completely worth the effort of making a plan to swing by during their normal business hours. Everything is so tender and flavorful, it’s difficult to describe other than IYKYK, and if you don’t, you need to find out!

I love BBQ and Space City BBQ is just outstanding. They are very consistent. The fatty brisket is terrific. Their sides are amazing. I keep ordering the brisket because it’s too good but I also want to try their other options. I can’t wait to go back. This is legit central Texas BBQ!!!

Outstanding Texas BBQ. Watch out for Space City BBQ, cause they comin!!! Brisket was juicy, tender and flavorful without being mushy or overly salty/rich. Turkey was perfect, and I do not use that word lightly. I mean..... it was PERFECT. They put tons of love into the sides as well, just like true pit masters do. It's rare that a BBQ joint doesn't have 1 or 2 blind spots, but Space didn’t put a toe wrong on brisket, turkey, corn side, beans, Mac n cheese OR the sauces (serve ots, for sure). Only thing we didnt try was a dessert, but I'd but your life and mine, they are also great. Only reason atmosphere isn't a 5 is because imo, by rule, trucks can't have 5 star ambiance and atmosphere. Now, as far as truck atmosphere goes, they hit all the right notes. Shade, music, fans, and rustic but comfortable furnishings. Fan for life here, Space Cowboys!!! Yall keep on killin it, cause I'm here for every damned delicious bite.

Great food. Bbq cooked perfectly. Looks like there were 2 people running this busy trailer. Hopefully, one day they'll have a building with all the extras to keep you cool at the end of June. Lol. Brisket was smoky and tender. Ribs were juicy and finger licking good. Burnt ends were top 10. We ordered a taco to try and it was seasoned to perfection. The sides of beans and corn casserole would be even better in the middle of a cold front, but were still great with our three meat order. Y'all get to Baytown and get you some delicious bbq and maybe it will get them off the street faster and into their own place, which they deserve.

This place is hands down the BEST bbq in the area. Me and my husband are very picky when it comes to bbq. We’ve tried so many places and leave feeling disappointed when the brisket is dry and the sides have no flavor. Not Space City Bbq though! This place was so good!!!! We’ve been twice in one week and have been able to try almost everything. Unfortunately, our wallets can’t keep up with our appetite for this place but we will definitely be regulars from now on. The brisket is so moist and the beef rib is out of this world 🤤 do yourself a favor and go when they open, so you can make sure you don’t miss out! Oh and grab some potato salad as well, you won’t regret it. Don’t be surprised if they sell out before closing time, when the bbq is this good..people know not to wait! Also, if you follow them on FB, they post updates for what they’ll be serving the next day or if they are sold out for the day. Seriously, so stoked to know this place exists. Oh and the people that run the truck are really kind! So the atmosphere and food are 10/10! ✨

Finally got to stop in and try this BBQ food truck, it did not disappoint. Since it was our first time we basically ordered a little of everything including some specials. Ordered the Big Back Box which is a sample platter consisting of 2 meats( I did brisket & turkey) a burger, sausage link a boudain link and two sides.( I did mac & cheese and cornbread casserole) Also ordered the pulled pork grilled cheese, peach tea glazed burnt ends and a 1/2 rack of ribs. Everything we tried was out of this world, pun intended. I'd definitely recommend the burnt ends, super flavorful and tender. The cornbread casserole was delicious and not dry at all. The brisket had a nice bark and taste, the turkey had a great flavor and juicy. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone BBQ lovers.

Yelp
I wanted to order here a few times before writing a review to solidifying my thoughts on Space City BBQ being some of the best bbq I have had anywhere. It is top tier and can easily hold their own against any of the original Texas bbq establishments in central Texas including Lockhart the bbq capital of Texas and depends who you talk to, the country. The owner/pitmaster Logan has been featured on Texas Monthly recently and trust me he is the real deal! Now on to the food. Space City features Smoked brisket by the half pound at $15. The brisket has an excellent bark and is tenderlicious! They often have plated specials and different takes on bbq quite frequently from items like a bacon jam burger, turkey pork belly club sandwich, bbq Ramen, pork belly burnt ends.Ribs are also a staple everyday. They have also been known to feature blackberry/crown royal burnt ends! They also feature sides ranging from potato salad, bbq brisket burnt end beans, cornbread casserole, and macaroni cheese. I also wanted to point out to any sports radio listeners in Htown, on occasion John Lopez's OG Sauce is featured on the menu infused into Logan's bbq chicken! They do cater. They are not open everyday but as of this writing they are open thurs thru sat 11am till sold out. Don't miss out on coming here you definitely won't be disappointed!
