Was trying to get my friend who had been overserved into an Uber and the manager threatened to call the cops on me. I just wanted to make sure they entered the right car and we had unfortunately chosen this dump of a bar as the pick up point. In my 35 years I’ve never experienced such discourteous behavior from a manager or an establishment. Don’t waste your time or money here, there are so many other great bars along U ST.

I recently dined at Space DC Restaurant & Lounge, and I must say their exceptional customer care truly stood out. As someone with a severe allergy, dining out can often be a stressful experience. However, the staff at Space went above and beyond to ensure my meal was not only safe but thoroughly enjoyable. Upon informing the bartender, Josue Vasquez, about my allergy, he immediately reassured me and took detailed notes to communicate with the chef, Marcel Che, and Sous Chef, James Jones. What really impressed me was their proactive approach: Chef Che personally came out to discuss my dietary restrictions and preferences. On hand, there was not such an enhancement for my dish so they crafted a special dipping sauce on the spot, ensuring it was free from any allergens and tailored to my taste. The attention to detail and genuine concern for my well-being made the entire dining experience incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The food was delicious, and knowing that it was prepared with such care made it even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Space to anyone seeking not just great food but also a restaurant that truly values and prioritizes its customers' needs. Overall, Space exceeded my expectations, and I will certainly be returning soon. Their dedication to customer care and safety is unparalleled, making it a standout choice for anyone with dietary concerns.

I had a fantastic experience! The service was exceptional—every staff member made us feel incredibly welcomed & valued. The ambiance is equally wonderful, offering a warm and inviting setting ideal for any event. Whether you're popping in for a drink or staying for dinner, you're guaranteed an amazing visit. Went here with a group of friends to grab a drink. Drinks were iNCREDIBLY expensive. 46.35 for 4 drinks and they automatically applied gratuity to my tab. When you get to the checkout screen however, it asks if you want to apply an additional gratuity - somewhere around 3-5%. I asked the bartender twice if gratuity was already included because the total seemed incredibly high and she didn't give me an itemized receipt. She stated that no, I needed to add additional gratuity, that the screen was broken. I added an additional 20% on top of the auto gratuity that was included because I was misinformed. I tried contacting Space DC to just remove the additional 20% but they have not responded. Would not recommend ever coming back.

I came here for brunch on Sunday. The food was good and the service was top-notch. Our server, Judea was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Overall I had a great experience and it was all good vibes :)

One of the nicest and most spacious venues I’ve ever experienced. The ownership so kind, the staff super friendly! It’s 3 levels with a rooftop. Music vibes is all house, melodic, techno, you get lost in the music while having a good time. A gem in Washington DC. I’m looking forward to the 5 back to back DJ event coming up on April 13th with 9b49, Josh P, Rassa, Kota, and LANs Custom spaceship hookahs and even a patio on the rooftop. Can’t believe I didn’t know about this place sooner! 🥂

This establishment was VERY unorganized. Paid for brunch for an event that they moved to Space due to the event being packed but wasn’t. Waited outside 30 minutes after our paid reservation. Mimosa’s came out in two for the large party, after the 2-3rd round, there was no alcohol being served in the mimosas. Each time we asked to be served, all servers would walk past the table, ignore our asked request and then disappear. Requested for a hookah all night, but was given the runaround about purchasing it. Told to go to the third floor but couldn’t get passed without a wristband. Service will be this clubs downfall. Food was 6/10 and definitely not worth it.
