These guys are absolute crooks. Would NOT recommend. I gave notice that I would like to cancel my lease on Feb 3rd and they said it has to be "30 calendar days notice" so have been charged until end of March. No willingness to be flexible on their part. The charges are also usually WAY earlier than they should be (eg getting charged for March at the start of February. In addition, I've been charged for 2 extra months BEYOND that (they supposedly take one month security deposit and then ANOTHER month's security deposit at month 3). Supposedly it'll take them 30 days to refund the security deposit. I'm not the only one that has issues with the way they take payment- check the other 1* reviews. Now they're trying to charge me $330 for "restoration services". To do what exactly? Hoover the floor in a 2 person office? Who knows. Once they get your card on file it seems they'll just charge whatever they want to it. I'll be disputing the charges. Finally, when I decided to rent the place I was told the parking was free because there was an issue with the parking system in the building and there were no plans to charge for parking. Guess what? From tomorrow parking is $17.50 per person per day. I would seriously think twice before renting a space here.

Very frustrating experience. Poor communication, disorganization, and unprofessional behavior from both the sales and community managers. I was denied access even after signing the corrected agreement they requested, and now they’re threatening collections for a contract they breached the same day of signature, so spaces were never used. Crazy. Marcos, the community manager who left a 5-star review here a year ago while working at Spaces La Brea, actually asked me to leave an honest review (see attached). Ironic, right? So here it is: Day 1, Monday, July 21 I showed up to meet David, the sales manager. They let me sit in the common area, but no one followed up for over four hours. I ended up leaving without talking to anyone. Right away, it felt disorganized and like nobody cared. Day 2, Tuesday, July 22 I came back to follow up. Marcos told me David wasn’t around and that he didn’t know anything about pricing — even though he’s the community manager. Still, Marcos insisted I sign an agreement even though the start date was wrong. When I pointed it out, he said he didn’t know how to fix it and wasn’t willing to try, telling me to ask David after signing, who could fix it. I trusted them. Later, I got several invoices that didn’t match the agreement. Marcos answered some questions but again said pricing was David’s problem and told me to contact him even if he was out. So I called, texted, and emailed David and have proof of all this. I was acting in good faith and genuinely wanted to be part of La Brea. I told both Marcos and David this several times. Day 3, Wednesday, July 23 I showed up again. Marcos wouldn’t let me use the internet and told me to leave unless I paid right then — even though I was still waiting for answers from David. I left, and at the same time, David finally replied. He cleared up the confusion, said he’d update the agreement so I wouldn’t be charged for days I didn’t use, and confirmed in writing that if I signed the new agreement that day, I could start using the space immediately at no extra charge. I signed the new agreement with the correct start date and went back, but Marcos still denied me access even though David had approved it in writing and emailed Marcos. No leadership, no teamwork, no accountability. Marcos said he had nothing to do with pricing but refused to honor the contract his own team made. If that wasn’t bad enough, instead of resolving the issue, both David and Marcos are now threatening collections to hold me to a contract they themselves replaced and breached. Total chaos and a terrible sales approach. They know exactly who I am and have all my information, so I’m sharing this with full transparency. I’ve seen them tell other reviewers that they couldn’t identify their accounts to avoid responsibility — but that won’t work here. I have all the emails and documents to prove it. What could have been a smooth sale ended with no sale and a bad review. If you want a reliable, honest coworking space, stay far away from Spaces La Brea.

I am absolutely frustrated and disappointed with my experience at SPACES and their parent company, REGUS. If you value customer service and any form of empathy, do not consider leasing from them. My business partner and I leased a private office space at the La Brea location in Los Angeles starting in September 2024. Over the past 6 months, we've paid nearly $6000 for this space, which initially offered complimentary parking, and while the office itself met our needs, the overall experience has been completely undermined by the company’s lack of care. Recently, my partner became ill and, understandably, is temporarily unable to work. We thought it would be reasonable to request a brief termination of our lease for a few months until he recovers later this summer. Instead, due to some ridiculous technicality—and despite submitting the termination request as soon as possible—we were told that the company would not honor our request to end the lease on 3/31/25, forcing us to pay for a space that will remain completely empty. I reached out to our local Community Managers, Trinity and Marcos, and both were unhelpful and dismissive. Even when I tried to escalate the issue to Enzo Lara, he showed no empathy and completely ignored the fact that we’d like to return once my partner is back to full health. The lack of understanding and unwillingness to accommodate us is simply unacceptable. Having spent the last 23 years in executive leadership, I can’t even begin to express how betrayed and disrespected I feel by the treatment we’ve received. If I treated my clients like this, I would be fired immediately. How can this be an acceptable standard of service? To make matters worse, the building is now charging $250 per month per car for parking—a detail that was never disclosed when we signed the lease. Despite the parking issue, we still tried to make the best of it and continue our relationship with SPACES, but at this point, I am beyond frustrated. I am demanding a clear understanding that I will not have to pay for a space I’m not using, and I expect full clarity on the return of our security deposit. At this point, I’m just seeking understanding and accommodation, but I’m beginning to feel like that’s too much to ask from a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction.

Don't walk.. run from this place. RUN RUN RUN.... if you value your money and sanity. As others have said they are crooks. Their online billing platform is awful and confusing... there is no way to get any assistance unless you submit an online ticket into the VOID.... calls and inquiries go unanswered. The community managers don't do anything except manage the space and if you need any assistance with refunds/billing errors good luck. Their system charged me twice for a previous month... I asked for a refund, nothing... they just credited me for a future month. Fine. I took that unexpected expenditure. At this point in time it's April 9th and I've been billed for both April and May.... why? Since both invoices showed the same date I clicked one and paid. Now I'm being told I accidentally paid a future month's invoice and because I didn't click on the invoice for April I'm going to be restricted? Make it make sense. I asked for help.. nothing from the community manager except for "well it's your mistake you paid a future bill and not the current one.".... I've never encountered anything like this in my 20 years of working with businesses. I know SPACES is an economical option... but they are cheap for a reason and they will cheat you over and over and over again.

I've been here 9 months so I think I am as good a person to give a review as any. This place is great. Clean, high ceilings, spacious, good lighting, and best are the staff. Marcos and Trinity are friendly, helpful, and keep the place in truly immaculate condition. Even David was phenomenal helping me get the space. As a small business owner, hard to ask for more.

I came here for the day to get some work done and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and workspace. Javier welcomed me with Starbucks, gave me a tour, helped me with the Wi-Fi and showed me the different options of where I could work for the day. I felt so welcomed and will be back during my week long stay from Chicago! Highly recommend coming to Space to work for the day!

Yelp
Very cool often space. Hard to get coffee. Also they make you pay for parking. The private room is not super quiet - there is noise coming from the outside.

Yelp
Honestly screw these guys. We submitted our cancellation on June 6. They "denied" the request and charged us for 3 more months. Such scam artists. They also charged us for things like carpet cleaning (our office is hardwood) and a $60 per month tea and coffee charge.

Yelp
Had a billing issue with this place and though the corporate customer service is lacking, Mario, the on site manager is great and fixed things for me as best he could. This really is a nice place to work, the amenities are great.

Yelp
Offices are priced by square foot. So is the restoration fee. This means the company is trying to squeeze roughly 50% of a month's office rent out of you when you end your agreement. Their poor approach to customer service led to repeated requests to the company's helpdesk support resulting in repeated referrals to the Terms & Conditions page. The Terms & Conditions page references that there is a fee when terminating, but does not specify the amount. The amount is described on the House Rules document instead. They've tried to tell me that this is not a hidden fee, but it's deliberately not discussed during sign up (staff isn't trained to mention it) and details are spread across a couple lines in separate documents. Thus for most people it will be a surprise when the company wants additional half a month's rent upon termination. No one likes it when there's hidden fees to go to a concert or see a movie. Why would I let Spaces off the hook? I encourage everyone reading to ask about their fees at end of contract.

Yelp
I have been very impressed all of the way around with West Hollywood location. Marcos has been helping me and his communication has been excellent. He was always professional, thorough, and personable on the phone and in person. He went the extra mile a few times for me. The office building and amenities are superb. Very clean, professional, and inviting! It's been a great decision to make Spaces my home away from home!

Yelp
STAY AWAY FROM THIS ANTI-CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICE! I wish I would have looked up SPACES on La Brea before I signed a 2 year lease because I definitely would have found a much better, PRO-customer focused office. First, SPACES does NOT have an actual call center where you can speak to a human about any issues you have. You are forced to talk to the manager(s) at your actual location but the problem is that they have ZERO ability to help resolve your issue. All they do is email a helpdesk and then that person emails you regarding your issue. It's clear that this helpdesk is outsourced and that the personnel are not trained at all in customer service. They are curt, rude and do not have any sense of reason when it comes to solving problems. Needless to say, I am not renewing so if anyone has a lease there please know that there is an AUTO-RENEWAL that you must go on-line to cancel in your account.

Yelp
Poor/broken internet. For $400/month you get "Maill handing and Business adress" but they still charge you for coffee- petty.
