"There aren’t many places left in Wynwood where you can have a good cocktail in a small room that doesn’t feel like Flo Rida is about to pop out and start singing at any moment. But Spanglish is that kind of bar, and it’s a fun enough spot to make us feel like we’re going out in Wynwood, but not annoying enough to make us regret going out in Wynwood. You can also sit down and eat here, but the drinks are the main attraction. The Cafetera Old Fashioned, which is poured out of a cafetera, is one of our favorite cocktails in Wynwood." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino

"For Cinco de Mayo these sister restaurants will offer up food specials like cochinita pibil and totopos, chicken tinga tacos, plus two for $10 margaritas or $55 margarita bottles." - Olee Fowler
"There aren't many places left in Wynwood where you can have a good drink in a small room that doesn't feel like Flo Rida is about to pop out and start singing at any moment. But Spanglish is that kind of bar, and it makes us feel like adults who appreciate a solid cocktail instead of 22-year-olds who don’t know what a real hangover is yet. There’s a food menu that can work for dinner, but we like this place better for drinks. Like the Cafetera Old Fashioned, which is poured out of a bright red espresso maker, or the Pimp My Rye - a mix of rye, Earl Grey, sage, lemon, and yuzu tonic that is every bit as entertaining as that show with Xzibit." - Ryan Pfeffer

"Highlighted with a playful aside that evokes a lively, Miami-inflected vibe, suggesting a fun, bold newcomer that left an impression on respondents." - Erin Perkins

"Housed next door to Grails Sports Bar at 2808 North Miami Avenue, I found Spanglish Craft Cocktail + Kitchen to be a chic, Art Deco–inspired bar that celebrates Miami’s multicultural 'Spanglish' heritage and the Hispanic backgrounds of its owners. Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli’s bar-friendly menu shows his signature creativity with items like croqueta 'buns' made with Jupiña hoisin, cucumber and sesame served in a bahn mi; churrasco tiradito with salsa anticucho; timba frita with crispy queso blanco, guava and Spanglish sauce; and an 'arroz con pollo' of creamy rice, peas, crispy chicken and sofrito. The cocktails are equally inventive and Instagram-worthy — from a cafecito Old Fashioned served in a cafetera to the Spanglish and Chill, a tequila-based mix with strawberry-infused sweet vermouth, tangerine, lemon and pink peppercorn served in a 'popcorn bag' topped with caramel popcorn and chicharrón dust. The interior draws on the Art Deco architecture of NYC, Miami, Havana, San Juan, Mexico City and Buenos Aires, pairing tropical decor with forest-green seating and gold lighting; Tatiana Suarez (Tatunga) painted an Art Deco woman holding a Cuban parrot as the focal point, while Tiago Magro added a street element by combining prohibition-era posters with graffiti across the walls and ceilings. The bar is open Sunday–Thursday from 5 p.m. to midnight and Friday–Saturday until 2 a.m." - Olee Fowler
