"The etymology of the name is very unclear, but feel free to invent your own. And you'll have time to because the burgers are the size of a toddlers head, and the line can sometimes reach to midtown (and that's like real far, y'all). If you can eat a Sparkleburger in one sitting, well...it's been really nice knowing you. This is a local's spot in all senses of the word phrase. You're on their turf. "Considering it makes up half of the restaurant's name, it’s safe to say that the daiquiris at Sparkle’s Burgers And Daiquiris in Third Ward are nothing to mess around with. Served the way they’re supposed to be (in a novelty glass and loaded with rum), you have the choice of the fruit punch-flavored Southside vs. the blue raspberry-flavored Northside. While we’ll remain neutral about which side of Houston is better, in our opinion the Northside daiquiri is a little bit sweeter and the one to order." - chelsea thomas, gianni greene
"Sparkle’s is the sort of understated counter-service spot you can always count on, whether you pop in during the day for a BLT breakfast sandwich, or when you want to end your night with a mammoth burger and fries. Customers regularly lean on the counter and shoot the breeze with the cashier, while they wait for a massive fried fish sandwich or a cheeseburger with extra onion rings. There are a couple of options for frozen daiquiris: Northside or Southside, but the only real choice is whether you want your tongue stained bright blue or red.
