Speak In Code

We had an excellent experience at Speak in Code in Manchester. Ben and Tyler provided amazing service from start to finish. The cocktails were beautifully balanced and clearly well thought out. Tyler was incredibly knowledgeable, and you could really feel the passion and care he put into every drink. He was also so kind to make us a list of other great cocktail bars around Manchester, and I truly appreciate when hospitality businesses support each other. The venue itself is small and cozy, perfect for an intimate setting. I wouldn’t recommend it for big groups, but it’s an excellent spot if you’re looking for a true mixology cocktail experience. Definitely recommend, and we would absolutely go back!

We went on a recommendation and so glad we did, the service from the moment you arrive until you leave is fantastic, all the staff are lovely. The cocktail menu isn’t that straightforward but with the way the bar tending team talk you through it and explain it, that doesn’t matter. There were 2 of us and we had 3 cocktails each and none of them disappointed at all, they have the usual suspects on there but so many new different things to try. My favourite was a dirty negroni

Absolutely loved Speak in Code! From the person who greeted us at the door to everyone working inside, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The cocktails were next level, creative, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. Definitely try their demo cocktails. Unique and so well-crafted! The atmosphere is intimate and stylish, with great music and a cozy vibe. One important tip: make a reservation, seriously, you’ll need it, because it gets busy and it’s totally worth it. Easily one of the best cocktail bars in Manchester, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Ended the night here on my 21st. Drinks were unreal, and Freya was incredible. Extremely knowledgeable about the menu and an absolute laugh. We all had a great time. Will definitely be back!!

WOW!!!! By far the best bar we’ve been to in Manchester. Tempted to not review because we wanted to gatekeep it it’s that good. Both mine and my partner’s cocktails were delicious and so unique. The atmosphere in here is just WONDERFUL, so cool and perfect for date night. It’s cozy, beautifully decorated, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Praying that this place doesn’t get “hidden gem-ified” lol - it’s our new favourite spot. We had Demo 1 and Demo 4 and can’t wait to go back to try more.

Truly love this bar. Found it because it was on a list of the 100 best bars in the world, and I agree. The menu might seem a bit daunting if you dont do a lot of mixology, but the staff make it really accessible and they are really willing to help. Chatting to the staff about the menu is one of the highlights honestly, as their passion and interest is so clear. I think this is my favourite bar in the world, second to none.

Amazing cocktail bar, definitely worth a visit. Had a great time, the staff were really nice and friendly. The cocktails are creative and there are some interesting twists on classics as well. Tried some of the snacks too, and they were quite nice.

Absolutely loved this place for some Thursday evening cocktails. Sat at the bar and was attended to by the lively chatty barman. He ensured we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Cocktails are awesome. Inventive, tasty and a decent price. Great atmosphere in the place with low lighting and hip hop tunes.
