Finally, some real Punjabi style (northern) Indian food with Indian spice and masala. Built for take out, and true to it. No guessing… they got stamps to label items -never seem that but love it. Food was tremendous and solid portion sizes to leave you some for the next day. Glad we stumbled on this place in a cool area.

Just wanted to share a small observation as a loyal customer who has been enjoying the Spice Bliss food from the past three years. The food is always delicious and of great quality and the service from the team has been consistently warm and professional. I have seen some concerns about tipping here but in my experience, the staff has never added a tip without the customer’s input. Based on my experience, the screen usually first displays the order total, followed by a prompt for the customer to select a tip either a custom amount or no tip option. Only after that selection is made does the system proceed to the final payment step. Without the customer making a tip selection, the system typically won’t move forward to accept payment. Also, to the best of my understanding, employees don’t have the ability to manually add a tip on the customer’s behalf as this part of the process is customer driven. Just sharing this in the spirit of clarity and continued appreciation for the great food and service you offer.

I’ve been a regular at this fantastic Indian restaurant in Capitol Hill for quite some time now, and it never disappoints. Their Chicken Biryani is the best in town—addictive and absolutely delicious, try it with Garlic Naan. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. If you visit more than once, they’ll remember your name. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. If you love Indian cuisine/food, this place is a must-visit. Don’t forget to try their Chicken Biryani. The combination of amazing food and excellent service keeps me coming back time and time again. Highly recommend!

Google
The portions at this restaurant were quite generous; however, the dish lacked seasoning, specifically no salt, and the staff did not seem inclined to address the issue when it was brought to their attention. The other items on the menu were mediocre at best and did not stand out as noteworthy. Overall, based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant or consider revisiting.

Google
Bought Tikka Masala and only got sauce with hardly 2 pieces of chicken. They also didn't give me my garlic naan I ordered and only realized once home. I don't recommend this place, at all.

Google
Spice Bliss is hands-down one of my favorite Indian food spots, especially for late-night cravings! The portions are great, the food is super authentic, and the staff is always so welcoming. Fair warning though: the spice levels here are no joke. If you’re not big on heat, I recommend going with a 2/5. Trust me, even a 3/5 will make you break a sweat! Overall, we can’t get enough of this place and keep coming back for the amazing flavors and great vibes.

Google
Spice Bliss is hands down one of the best places for authentic Indian food! I’ve tried several different dishes, and every single one was so good. The flavors are rich, the food is fresh, and everything is cooked to perfection every time. The prices are very affordable, which makes it even better. Parking can be a little challenging, but it’s 100% worth it for the amazing food. If you’re looking for super authentic Indian dishes that won’t disappoint, this is the place to go. Highly recommend it!

Google
Ordered online via their website. Order was not delivered twice in three weeks. The store says "our only responsibility is to make the food, and the third party delivers." They directed us to call the number on the "beyond menu portal." There are two -- one for deliveries (which is the spice bliss phone number where they say deliveries is not their responsibility) and one for billing (that rings for a minute and hangs up, probably since the order was around 10:30pm). The Spice Bliss employee was not helpful, made no effort to be helpful, and I do not recommend ordering delivering from Spice Bliss at this time. (Also, they switched from using chicken breast to chicken thigh for their Tikka masala, if that matters to you). After being a loyal customer for 5 years (back to when it was still called spice box), I will no longer be ordering from this establishment until their delivery service is fixed.

Yelp
Fantastic service and food. The really only great Indian Food on Capitol Hill. No sit in dining so enjoy in the comfort of your home.

Yelp
First time ordering Indian food by myself and I was a bit intimidated by the extensive menu but I went with something familiar: Chicken Tikka Masala Spice level 3 (to be safe) and a garlic naan. Food came out piping hot and I couldn't help but consistently nod because the food was hitting on that cold rainy Seattle day. The spice was there but still mild and I will increase the level for my preference next time. The portions are huge and I'm writing this review as I eat my second filling meal from this first time order. My only comment is that the chicken breast is a little dry but it won't stop me from coming back. I'm curious about the lamb and paneer as well. Otherwise the curry itself, rice, naan-- were all incredible. I look forward to being a bit more adventurous next time and increasing the spice. Thank you to the kind staff member who was very attentive to making sure I'm enjoying my food.

Yelp
The place is open till 3 am. Serves some of the best Indian food in Seattle. Mostly a pick up place but visit here for yummy naans, chicken korma, paneer masala.

Yelp
Really big portions! I don't normally eat Indian food but Spice Bliss was flavorful and a good value for what you get. Would be back and hoping to try some of their other popular items :)

Yelp
Fantastic Indian restaurant in Capitol Hill. They have many great options on the menu, but my favorite is the kadai (I like it with fish). The spiciness is great - level 3 has a nice subtle kick. The portions are very large, making the price a great deal! The restaurant is pretty small, with seating available for about 7 people.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by the food! I had passed by Spice Bliss before but had no interest of going in but was really craving indian food and doordashed from Spice Bliss. I got the Dal Makhani, Malai Kofta, and Chicken Vindaloo, all of them were very tasty and good quantity! (my only complaint is the chicken vindaloo had more potatoes than chicken) I wasn't able to see the service/ambiance because I did doordash btw!
google avatar

Sindu K.

Yelp
Tried the samosas from here recently. They were tasty but on the smaller side for the price. Found it a bit pricey overall. Decent flavor though. I'll revisit my review once I explore more of their menu options.

Yelp
My favorite Indian spot in Seattle! If you're not willing to drive down to the eastside and in the mood for unfussy, excellent Indian takeout, this is your spot. Whenever I'm feeling exhausted on a rainy or long day or just craving some comfort food, I grab Spice Bliss! It's a takeout-only spot, so order ahead and grab your food. They also have lunch combos where you can get multiple curries! My go-to is the paneer tikka masala with a garlic naan and rice.
google avatar

Sritha V.

Yelp
Got the butter chicken with a 5 spice level and it was good! The spice was tolerable and I would stick with a 5 if you can handle the heat. This spot is great to grab a late night bite to satisfy your Indian food craving. The curry was creamy and the chicken was juicy. The entree came with rice which was definitely an added bonus. The garlic naan was a bit dry but soaked in the curry it fixed itself lol. The mango lassi was a bit too sour for my taste but we still finished the whole glass. It was thick yogurt and not enough sugar but if you like the tangyness then you can give it a try!

Yelp
I got food poisoning so bad from here it put in me in the hospital But I would eat here again if I was brave enough

Yelp
They TREAT CUSTOMERS BASED ON TIPS⁉ while it should be the other way around. I eat here many time and the nice girl normally there taking orders. But this time probably was my last time to order food from here. I was on my way home from the airport and came in to order a Butter Paneer. The guy that took my order had let me wait for half an hour (even though the store was completely death on a Tuesday midnight) just because I put only $2 in tip. I waited outside as I had my suitcases, and he even put my order under his reception table, so that I wouldn't know it was ready the whole time. Until I came back in the store with intention to cancel it, he got the bag down there and put it on the table???? Doesn't he make it clear that he could have brought the bag to me if I tip more!? And more unexpectedly, my order turned out to be Butter Chicken. I vomited all out after I had the first bite. Feeling so sick the whole night as I'm a vegetarian since I was born. This is morally wrong and I believe business (particularly business people) should have WORK ETHIC.

Yelp
Not good. All three dishes I picked up last night were soupy. Not the normal consistency at other Indian places I have been to. On top of that the prices where on the high side even if the meals had been as expected. On top of that it is the endless Seattle tip push. For what? Doing your job on take out? Sorry not participating in that one. We when I got back to my place and unpacked to eat, we were all disappointed. I should have opened the containers there and just left. Not recommended, there are MUCH better option close by.
google avatar

Nadia T.

Yelp
Great take-away. I ordered at the register, only had to wait 10 mins... but it was worth it because everything was steaming hot and freshly made. I had the Paneer Tikka Masala - rich and flavorful and they didn't skimp on the paneer. Vegetable Pakora was fresh and crispy, the chutneys were delicious. Garlic Naan was some of the best I have had, crispy in the edges, but pillowy soft in the middle. It was baked to perfection. Everyone was friendly, the waiting area is small but very clean. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for take-away in Capital Hill.

Yelp
Thank *insert favored deity here* for this restaurant. I ordered from another, who I won't name, and added that I had an allergy that carries heavily in Indian food which I was then delivered an order that was not mine (which included a lot of said allergy). Postmates/Uber eats does not make it an easy transition to figure out a solution (and when I say a solution I mean basically little/none on their part) when food comes incorrectly but I'm so happy to have picked out this place instead. The food is amazing, it came it record time and I really have nothing negative to say. Top quality Indian in the area is hard to find but I think I've found it. 10/10.

Yelp
Nothing fancy, just delicious Indian food at a great value. The utter chicken was our favorite, but everything we got was perfectly prepared.

Rich L.

Yelp
Was going to order Online. Our order came to 65$ and with their tax and fees it totaled at 97$. 50% tax and fees???? Screw that!!!
google avatar

Grace E.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious Molai Kofta! Generous portions and fair prices. *(Take away as small space not really a dine in place)

Sonali M.

Yelp
Great vegan options! They were able to make rotis with no ghee and bindhi masala totally vegan as well.
google avatar

Tejal B.

Yelp
Small and cute Indian food serving place offering only take out. They do have parking available on the side of the restaurant. Many other good eats in the area as well. When we entered the smell of the food being cooked was like the one in India. Our hopes were high. We ordered their:- Dal Tadka:- It was good. Decent taste Dal Makhani:- Never have I ever had such watered down Dal Makhani. Nope Bhindi:- Very oily, even the head of the vegetable was cooked which is generally discarded off while cutting. ok ok. Garlic Naan:- This was the star. Thin and not doughy. Is it authentic Indian food? No. But surely can curb those taste buds. I was first confused if its "Spice Box" or "Spice Bliss". Well, its one and the same.

Yelp
Little spice and very little bliss at this business. The food is overpriced for what you get. It is extremely watered down and short on the main ingredients. We were there with 4 adults. The place is a little hole in the wall with 6 stools to sit inside to eat. The menu looked good. We had 4 entrees. They all were very different, but they all had one thing in common: lots of water in these dishes. All four entrees had the consistency of watery soup. They may wanted to rename the place overpriced Soup bliss/box? My daal tadka was like soup. So was the #41 makini, #27 Mango Curry and the tikka masala. 4 soups. One dish had some tiny lamb pieces in the "soup" and another dish had a bit of shrimp. The rice that came with all entrees was good so were the 2 Mango lassis we had. If there was a next time, I order rice and a Mango lassi... But there will not be a next time. They put everything in a take out bag, when we were eating there. While the taste was bland ok, the food was very watered down and short on shrimp and lamb. It wasn't worth near the $89 we paid. There are better options up the street. Also. the food is not spicy. Two in our party ordered 5 star hotness, both commented it was not close to 5 star, more like three.

Yelp
I don't have Indian food often and tried this during a team outing. I ordered the mango curry, bastami rice and garlic naan. It was SO flavorful and filling, omg. I got chicken for the curry and it was the juiciest chicken, it was easy to rip off in pieces to eat with the curry. IYKYK. I hate when you can just rip a piece off that's how soft the chicken was. Pretty good price for the serving, I was so full and only ate half of what they gave me. The rest of my team raved about their food too!

Lauren W.

Yelp
First time ordering and it was not good. I got the malai kofta, which was so salty it was basically inedible. I also got the lentil soup--I've never had such a watery lentil soup. It also mainly tasted like lemon. The bread was clearly microwaved because it hardened up within minutes of cooling. I don't usually write reviews, but this was really subpar.
google avatar

Rick J.

Yelp
If you are looking for bad Indian food, you found the place. It is funny that the name is Spice Bliss because this was about most bland Indian food I ever had. Like others have stated, the stuff was very runny with lots of water, water is cheap, and the price was a rip-off for what we got. I was in Seattle at a friend's place and we ordered this for delivery. If I had been in the restaurant, I would have send it back and requested a refund.
google avatar

Louise F.

Yelp
SO GOOD. Spice Bliss is situated in an unassuming little building on Broadway that might be easy to miss but wow I'm glad I didn't. This may be the best Indian food I've had in Seattle. The spice level is up to you and at a 5, I do get a small extra gentle kick in the flavor. I ordered the lamb korma which had such a good flavor and the most tender lamb. It also came with a huge helping of rice. Got it on Doordash and it was ready for pickup super fast.

Kathleen C.

Yelp
The little things that count, great customer service and the BEST Indian food in Seattle!
google avatar

Kaylinn F.

Yelp
This place is my kryptonite. They're open late rain or shine and usually on holidays, too. Portions are huge, food is flavorful, and I cant ask for more. Even getting things delivered through doordash, they never send out an incorrect order.

Christian W.

Yelp
ANYTHING BUT typical. Fantastic Indian food for a good price. Special, unique, different

Corey W.

Yelp
Excellent, very flavorful butter chicken. The spice (3-star) was right on the money. Recommend the vegetable samosas as well. very happy with my order. Absolutely will return.
google avatar

Jonelle T.

Yelp
Hands down, the best Indian takeout we've found so far. You can't miss Spice Box's bright blue exterior on Broadway, so if you're in the area and want Indian food, THIS IS THE PLACE. The prices are super reasonable for the portion sizes and we've tried the vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, butter chicken and garlic naan. Everything was super flavorful with the right amount of spice. Other Indian restaurants could take a few pointers from Spice Box. I'm knocking down a star because both times we've visited, the rice has been undercooked. I get it, no one wants mushy basmati, but I also don't want super hard grains of rice. Also, we've only been given one container of rice while ordering two entrees. I feel like each entree should come with it's own container of rice, given the amount of sauce that's included.
google avatar

Vicky C.

Yelp
I was an avid Spice Box fan when it first opened - what a breath of fresh air to finally have an authentic North Indian eatery in Seattle. But today 's experience was very disappointing. I've noticed the flavor profile changing over time. The prawn biryani bears little resemblance to the biryani that truly wowed back in the day. No spice, no kick and a strange tomato sauce. It's almost like the dish had lost its soul trying to cater to American palettes. The eggplant bhartha was equally flat. Spice Box - please stick to your roots and bring back the original flavors that made you a true standout in Seattle where good indian food is sorely lacking.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
I got the lamb tikka masala along with the garlic naan. I was given chicken instead of lamb. Curry was bland and quite runny. Chicken was subpar and clearly wasn't well incorporated into the dish. Would recommend folks look elsewhere, Daawat and Zaika are both better choices.
google avatar

Hannah S.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. There is nothing better than grabbing some paneer pakora and a chai and walking around in the evening. It's a pretty tiny restaurant so if you're looking for somewhere to sit and eat, there's not always a ton of seating and it might not be the place for you. The staff is all very nice, and the food comes out quickly. Everything I have tried there has been delicious. It's super close to transit, and in a really fun neighborhood.
google avatar

Frannie Y.

Yelp
I'm so glad I tried spice box! We got the vegetable samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, and chicken vindaloo. Each samosa order comes with two and they were awesome. The chutney and red sauce (wasn't sure what it was) were really good. I loved the butter chicken. It was super creamy and flavorful, and I got it with three stars for spice and it was a little spicy! My partner got the chicken vindaloo, and it was so good. The potatoes were cooked perfectly, and I believe it comes with chicken thighs whereas the butter chicken had chicken breast. The garlic naan was so good too! Love the garlic flavor. The portions for everything were huge, and the price was so good! The butter chicken and chicken vindaloo could definitely be two or three meals.
google avatar

Erika C.

Yelp
Food here is consistently great! Portions are huge (at least 2 full meals) and i have never gotten anything i disliked. Food is always hot and fast, and the price for the portions is not bad at all! Great late night eats or quick takeout.
google avatar

Jaya S.

Yelp
Open till late night !! Delicious and very generous portion of food. The girl at the register was super sweet . Once she knew we were in hotel she made sure to pack disposable cutlery and plates .
google avatar

Jillian V.

Yelp
Love, love, love this restaurant! Chicken Tikka Masala & buttered chicken is my go-to! The service is a bit limited however they are very sweet folks & efficient! I came around 5-6pm on a weekday & it was dead BUT food was bussin.
google avatar

Colleen G.

Yelp
Love this place, I get it every time I'm in town. I recommend picking up your order just so you can see how good the restaurant smells haha. Our usual order is: paneer tikka masala, lamb curry with coconut, mango curry with chicken, garlic naan, and mango lassis.
google avatar

Milligan P.

Yelp
"Spice Bliss," they proclaim, flavor's absence is their game. dull dishes, what a shame!
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I got the chicken korma with the garlic naan. First off, I love how their portion sizes are huge. I managed to make this last 3 meals, especially because the chicken korma also comes with a side of rice. The curry was super flavorful, as expected because the inside of the shop smelled so good. The garlic naan was also very delicious. They are takeout only, so there is no dine in, but overall, very solid quality and quantity of food.
google avatar

Devashish M.

Yelp
I ordered 2 Paneer Bhurji, 1 Daal Tadka and both items were spicy(spice level 5). Their food was spicy and tasty, perfectly balanced. I really enjoyed the food. *If you want to eat real panjabi food then must try this place.* Thank you so much SPICEBOX TEAM.
google avatar

Hiral P.

Yelp
Good place for Indian food. Restaurant is pretty small so not a great dine in place, but good for take-out. They're vegetable pakoras are good. The chicken biryani is very spicy. I got a 3/5 and I can tolerate spicy food. I recommend getting a 2.

Indi I.

Yelp
Best Indian food in Seattle. I love Indian food and Spice Bliss is definitely on my top ten. The naan was delicious, I tried their mango lassi and it was great! I then had some chicken curry on the higher end of their spice scale, and it is some of the best curry I have had. The service was great, and the small shop made it even better. 10/10 would recommend to anyone
google avatar

Anusha R.

Yelp
Super bad biriyani. I wouldn't even call it biriyani I'm sorry. You can't be selling such substandard Indian food when there are so many options today. Honestly, Seattle as it is isn't so great with Indian food, but this was really bad. The rice was just turmeric and bland. The chicken was cooked so unevenly. The tandoori chicken we ordered was dipped in some kind of sad ketchup. Please up your game. You can't be passing this off as good Indian food. The biriyani rice wasn't even cooked right, let alone the flavour.
google avatar

P S.

Yelp
The food is very delicious! But they don't respect people's time. Several orders were filled before mine, despite me ordering well before them. Even a pair of construction workers said "didn't they order before us?" as they walked out. I understand the nature of food service but the wait was around 40 mins which took up most of my lunch break. Come on! We all operate on the same 24 hours and pay with the same money, at least serve people in order.
google avatar

Bea S.

Yelp
I was craving Indian after a cold day of walking around. Ordered 3 naans, meat samosa, 3 curries, a lamb biryani, a lentil soup, and a chicken tikka for about $100. We walked home and realized we didn't get the chicken tikka AND got charged for a chicken tikka curry that we didn't receive. I'm too tired to care so it was a wash. Bro enjoyed the naans a lot and liked the samosa though it was slightly too salty. You can see the salt crystals on the outside. We love salty food too. I agree with him but it was tasty. Butter chicken was nice but not as creamy as I'm used to. Chicken tikka curry tasted more tomato-y than I would've liked. Lamb biryani was yummy and I enjoyed pouring the curry on top to mix around. Wish the chunks of meat (chicken in curry and lamb in the rice) were cut smaller. BD was bummed he didn't get his chicken tikka, the lentil soup was too sweet, the dipping sauces were all too sweet for him. So he thought his meal was meh.

Jared H.

Yelp
Definition of hole in the wall. Has a tiny bar with 3 stools. It's best described as a takeout restaurant. Lots of doordash/GrubHub/etc. activity while I was there. Myself and 2 companions dined in at their tiny bar and it was cramped but functional. Food was very tasty, spice level just as we asked for it. Open late, which is a big plus. Really liked the samosas. More seating would bump the review to 5 stars. On food and service alone, it gets 5 stars.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
The tikka masala I had was pretty good itself but my experience was ruined after finding cardboard paper in my stuff
google avatar

Shasank P.

Yelp
No idea how this restaurant has a 4.5 star review. I would give it 0 star if possible. The butter chicken was so sweet and the chicken was definitely stale. The daal and palak paneer were horrible too. If you are craving Indian food look somewhere else!

Yelp
Have read the menu & reviews here many times and created my "in my head menu". So I dropped in this AM when I had some time to kill before my flu shot instead of going to Oddfellows for sugar & caffeine. I was looking forward to that chai and got a couple of gulab jamun. The chai was small, so I got 2. Not only were they small, they didn't fill up the cups all the way, they was an inch empty in each cup. It was too hot to drink for a while, and just kinda meh. They also gave me the gulab straight out of the fridge. They were good, but I just found the whole experience disappointing, and it didn't fill me with desire to try more. Understand this is a take out kinda place. There's no room to eat there, so I get it. As another reviewer said, when you've been spoiled by the generous portions, super tasty dishes, welcoming owner, and super attentive staff from Taste of India (or insert your personal favourite here), this place just didn't measure up. I'm sure it's gr8 for what it is. But I won't be going out of my way to come back.
