"The chicken choila at Spicy Nepal is the singular spiciest thing we’ve encountered at any restaurant on this list, and if that excites you, head to this Sunnyside spot immediately. The chicken choila, served cold, is coated in a thick, grainy sauce, covered in fenugreek seeds, and best paired with literally anything mild in flavor. If they happen to have samosas that day, those will do nicely. Grab a seat in the very-orange inside, or at a table in the backyard, and round out your order with a bowl of Tibetan thukpa." - willa moore, sonal shah, bryan kim
"There’s always some sort of celebration—a birthday, or a big group dinner—at Spicy Nepal, either in the very-orange interior, or outside in the backyard. Still, this Sunnyside spot is pretty casual, perfect for any old day of the week when you’d like to feel something by way of green chili. Try the chicken choila, served cold with a thick, dark sauce that’s equal parts very spicy and fenugreek-forward, and whatever off-menu item your server might present you with that day. (For us, it was samosas.) Round out your order with dhindo and Tibetan thukpa, and try to make friends with someone here so you get invited to their next Spicy Nepal party. They won’t." - Willa Moore
