Where to Play Mini-Golf, Pickleball, and Bowl in Boston | Eater Boston

"Located in the Seaport, this ping pong venue boasts 14 Olympic-grade ping pong tables and is a perfect spot for large and small events and gatherings. It has an extensive food and drink menu, with many items paying homage to Boston (Fluffernutter wontons, anyone?). Some of its cocktails can also be made in a batched format for multiple people, dubbed “group therapy.”" - Valerie Li Stack

Such a fun and unique spot in Boston! SPIN Boston has an awesome vibe with colorful decor, great lighting, and a really energetic atmosphere. Came here with some friends and had an absolute blast playing ping pong while enjoying some delicious cocktails. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the service was on point. There are some solid vegetarian options on the menu too, which was a nice surprise. It's a great place to hang out, catch a game, and do something different than the usual bar scene. Highly recommend for group outings, solo outings or even a casual date night. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
We attended a corporate event recently that was lots of fun. The place is big, and laid out with lots of space to play and chat with friends. Parking, by the way, is available in a garage behind 49 Melcher St. Uber is a good option as well. Food and service were excellent, can't say enough about the staff who were kind and welcoming. You must try the tacos with tuna. Sliders excellent too, with a nice touch of salt. There's also people and families there having fun, as opposed to us corporate types. Lots of people out on dates. The neighborhood has lots to offer and this is a great addition !

Google
I’ve been 4 times now and this place is 4 for 4. The management and staff are top notch and the atmosphere is awesome. Plus it’s such a great way to spend quality time with the people you brought — a little friendly competition and a lot of laughs.

Google
only walked in here for the bar and it was amazing. just great place and great people. might come back for the ping pong. only complaint was the music was PAINFULLY loud like scared I was getting hearing damage loud. not sure if it was cause there was a DJ this specific night, but I was just waiting for my sister to arrive at South Station after work and I didn't want to harsh the vibe. had some wings it was delicious some like goat cheese blue cheese I think? that's what it tasted like. and some spicy sauce that wasn't exactly buffalo but I forgot. also I think they forgot to charge me for the non alcoholic beers I had (cause I was driving, stay responsible). all in all great experience and seems pretty fun to play ping pong too. I'm just anxious someone's gonna slip on the balls on the floor.

Hello Photo Booth Rental

Google
We recently provided services for an Atlassian event at SPIN Boston, and I couldn’t have been more impressed with the venue. The team at SPIN Boston was incredibly professional, making sure every detail was handled smoothly, which made our setup process easy. The space is vibrant and modern, creating the perfect atmosphere for both corporate networking and fun. Our photo booth fit seamlessly into the event, and the guests loved the energy of the venue. Their staff was attentive and worked flawlessly alongside us, ensuring everything from catering to guest engagement went off without a hitch. We look forward to partnering with SPIN Boston again in the future!

Google
The bad first - the food is very average and they don't let you take any of it home. We asked for to go boxes but they refused to let us take it. When we asked what they do with all the left over food they assured us they don't throw it away but instead offer it to the staff. I'm glad it's not being wasted but at the same time, we aren't paying to feed the workers. The policy reasoning is not clear and makes people frustrated. The good - Very fun place for a work event or birthday party! I've been here 3 times and had tons of fun.

Google
Came for a company event. Naturally, people divide into groups that actually play ping pong and groups that just mingle and eat. There are food stations, as well as staff who come around with hors d'oeuvre. They take your plates and any trash as well, but it would have been more convenient if there were trash cans/a dedicated tray area so that you don’t have to wait around. However, the staff was very diligent on keeping the place clean throughout the night, so thank you! The food was average: - The flatbread tastes better fresh. - The chicken and waffles were my favorite. - The samosas weren’t bad either. - The shrimp tacos were very cute. - The sliders were heavy and didn’t seem to be a crowd favorite, but if you’re hungry, they would be the most filling. - The macarons were good, and there were a handful of flavors. At one point, there was a guy taking drink orders behind the bar, but he didn’t actually work there, which was weird. It gets pretty loud, so it’s hard to have conversations without shouting, but that is expected, as the place is big enough to accommodate several large parties.

Google
What a great spot to celebrate a birthday and what an inspired concept! We reserved two ping pong tables and a food/bev package and had a great time. Party of about 10. Excellent service; our host/server was Chris. He went out of his way to make sure we all got what we needed and we got our money's worth. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I'll start off by saying the service here is top notch. Friendly and personable staff. It almost feels like they hire for personality and focus on this. I've visited many Spin locations across the US to be able to compare. Spin Boston... please keep this up!!! I bring my kids here a lot and they are definitely kid friendly. They gave my sons some free swag. It's their favorite place to be when we're in Boston. The food and drinks are pretty good. However, I am disappointed they no longer have Yuca fries as a stand alone order. The music is very upbeat. They usually feature local DJs. The lighting is great. Not to dark and not too bright. Oh did I say the service was great?!! I was on a date there once when my table reservation was about to expire. They were about to clean up when the manager noticed I was in deep conversation. I noticed that she subtly waived off the cleaners to give me some privacy. :Fist bump for that: They didn't even charge me for the extra time at the table.

Yelp
This ping-pong bar left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, it's a creative and fun spot to hang out with friends -- on the other, there are a few things to keep in mind. A quirky, offbeat atmosphere that's great for groups. A mix of games (from board games to ping-pong). Works well for a group of four. Decent drinks and snacks Some confusion with our order -- we got an extra item and were overcharged. The $50/hour ping-pong fee feels a bit steep. The name of the place can be misleading As a one-time visit for a unique evening out, it's worth checking out. But if you're going mainly to play, the prices might leave you a bit disappointed. For a chill night with cocktails and background games or TV, it does the job just fine. Good for the experience, but not quite a favorite.

Yelp
Super cool concept and great place for a team event. Was essentially a pool hall but with ping pong. Tons of ping pong tables and balls that they come clean up. The food was great too especially the sliders and pizzzas. Service was great as someone came by to clean up the ping pong balls every few minutes. Very fun experience!

Yelp
We ended up in Boston randomly and were looking for a place to hangout that would be fun for adults and a tween. Loved all the games on the tables to play while waiting for our ping pong table to be ready. We ordered drinks at the bar and I loved my Curious George! So good! We got some snacks at the ping pong table and they were good too. The fries were cooked perfectly but the pepper ketchup wasn't my favorite. We ended up ordering 2 fries so I must not have minded the ketchup too much. We got the hop pop chicken tenders and found them to be ok. They were a bit overcooked, so they probably would be better less crisped. The place is huge! The employees were continually walking around scooping up all the ping pong palls and making sure everyone was taken care of. I love the net tool they had for collecting the balls. My niece loved the ping pong ball bath. She jumped in it about a dozen times. I wish we had something like this near me, it was great family fun and could turn into adult fun in the evening with lots of amazing drinks.

Yelp
Great vibes and good quality tables and paddles. The truffle fries and wings were really good quality. Service was good. Would definitely recommend for bigger parties.

Yelp
spin is a fun spot for those who love ping pong. they have a free coat check when you walk in and there are many tables that can be reserved. the shame of chasing your ping pong ball is out at spin, as staff happily gather balls on the floor and deposit them in your stations ball area. drinks are good, i had the espresso martini and the seasonal mule. i had some of my friends nachos which were fine, and the fries my boyfriend ordered were good. decent bar food considering the schtick is ping pong, but it wasn't bad.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Came by this establishment on a whim tonight! Loved the seasonal mule & the ping pong. We rented the table for 30 mins and they came by with a 10 min warning. They encourage you not to pick up the ping pong balls... instead they have people come by with a fun ball picker upper every now and again & there are more than enough balls at the table! Staff is friendly and on a Saturday night (around 10pm), there was a busy fun vibe and also more than enough room in the bar. Would absolutely back and I just wished that I lived a little closer!! Thank you!

Yelp
Lots of fun for our group . We had a large section for our group and enjoyed competing on the ping pong tables . Great bar staff

Yelp
I came back to Spin and had an absolute blast! It's nice that you have your own dedicated area with your friends, with plenty of space to spread out. You can take turns playing ping pong or sitting on the couch. We actually wanted to extend our reservation once we were already there, but the tables were booked up. The staff was really nice about it and encouraged us to stick around and enjoy the rest of the place. Although I wouldn't think of Spin as a food spot, they actually have some decent menu items. We really enjoyed the nachos! The drinks are also pretty solid and there are a few bar areas spread out across the space.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
I booked a table at Spin for my friend and I. Despite our tardiness, the staff was incredibly accommodating. Parking was a bit challenging but that's expected considering the location. Upon our arrival, the staff walked us over to our table and we immediately started playing since we had the table reserved for an hour. The atmosphere was just right- not too crowded not too empty and it's very pretty in there with the perfect lighting. We decided on nachos, yuca fries and drinks for our meal. The food and drinks were good and we had a great time. I really appreciate the concept of Spin making it a perfect spot for hanging out with friend or having a date night. Must visit!

Yelp
Had a birthday celebration here. This place was top notch! They assigned a ping pong pro to train us, play with us and keep score! This was great, because I'm truly awful at ping pong. Drinks were good. Food was also an unexpected treat -- sliders, pepperoni pizza and a vegetable salad. Nothing fancy, but well prepared. Place has a fun vibe at everyone on staff was fun and helpful.

Yelp
Spin is a great place to go for a fun date idea or with a group of friends! It's ping pong on demand that can be reserved online or in person. I've gone twice on weekends without reserving ahead of time and was usually able to get a table in 30 minutes to an hour. They supply two buckets of ping pong balls next to each table that is frequently being restocked by a floor sweeper. So if the ball goes out of bounds, just let it go and grab another ball and keep playing. The vibes here are amazing and the music is poppin'. The staff are nice and friendly to talk to. It's very instagrammable inside with all the sea and ping pong themed decorations. They also have a tub of ping pong balls that you can lie down in for a photo shoot and there is a photo booth by the entrance. Each ping pong table comes with two large water pitchers, a table, chairs, and card/board games since as giant Uno, giant Connect Four, or giant Jenga and there are TVs on the sports channel all around. Surprisingly for a bar, the food is really good! I recommend their Birria Bao Buns (very soft and tender meat and bao), Short Rib Bahn Mi Sliders (very juicy and exploding with flavor), and Drunken Wings. I would pass on the Short Rib Nachos. The drinks here are STRONG! I had two drinks and was done for the night. I recommend the Killin' the Dunks (Tito's and Khalua) and Departed cocktail (Tito's and Prosecco). Overall, amazing bar with great food and I can't recommend enough that you should try this place at least once!

Yelp
Went with a large group. Renting out an area with food and open bar is a great option if more of you want to get together. Parking There are a few parking garages in the area if you can't find off street parking Food Absolutely delicious and completely caught off guard! We ordered food for the group and not only did we have a table buffet of food, servers were also walking around with small apps. Drink Open bar was included in our group rate. There was a large variety of options and can always ask for combinations not found in the menu. Game Ping pong is a lot more competitive than I thought. Don't chase the ping pong balls - I realized we were given a bucket of ping pong balls because staff walk around with this net that collects them up. Restrooms The main restroom I found is unisex - kind of. There were stalls on both left and right side with a row of sinks semi-separating the space in the middle. A good heads up is all this note is, a woman in the restroom wasn't aware and took a little startle so I'll leave this here as an fyi. Service Service was fantastic, we are excited to come back! Thank you so much! Please let us know if your times ever open up earlier, we'd love to stop by earlier after work.

Yelp
Apparently it's 'No PingPong-No Service'. We attempted to eat, drink, and watch the Stanley Cup, but were pretty much given the silent treatment.. After offered menus and open seating,, none of the waitresses took our order. After 15 min, we stopped one but she said 'no English'. Another 10 minutes and we walked out.

Mary Ann S.

Yelp
They were basically empty. Went for lunch. Asked if we played ping pong. Said sure but we were just stopping in for lunch. They told us to go to the bar or a high top table. We never had anyone come by us. Two people at hostess area just chatting and basically felt like we were unwelcome. Won't be back.

Yelp
Spin is located in the Seaport area and had at least a dozen tables. I was there for a work event so we had a private area with food and drinks, and workers walking around to catch the loose balls on the floor with their net catcher. The tables were solid. Lighting is dim and is a bit difficult if you like to play pong but accidentally look at the light while going for the ball.
google avatar

Chanda R.

Yelp
What a good time! Although I didn't play ping pong they had tons of other games like large Jenga and connect 4. Since I came early around 5pm there was lots of space. They have two bars and the service was very helpful. They even provide regular and sparkling water. I would definitely recommend either a group or a date activity! The decor is so much fun and is such a cool tiki vibe!
google avatar

Yelp
SPIN Boston located at the Seaport District. Super fun and what a great work outing to have fun and to build team bonding. Book a ping pong table or stop by to play uno or connect four while waiting for drinks and foods. Very bar type foods and the atmosphere is a chill vibe with cool designs and multiple rooms to play.

Yelp
Took a SPIN around the block to check out this super cool ping pong spot! The DJ was SPINning hits from 90s-present R&B/HipHop, the bartenders were SPINning some delicious cocktails, and of course ping pings were SPINning around the room!! To get in, the bouncer checked for IDs (so maybe an adult only spot all the time or after a certain hour), and for vaccine cards. We all had them so not sure if you get turned away if you don't. We made reservations for 10 for 2 hours and paid $70. Our area came with our own ping pong table, 4 paddles, a seating area for 4 with bottled water, and a super helpful and funny attendant named Chris that we were able to order drinks and food through. Even with all the ping pings flying around, there are people working to constantly pick up balls with a cool net contraption. For drinks, I ordered the espresso martini (perfect pick me up since I didn't have my daily coffee) and the summer somewhere cocktail which was a refreshing blend of gin, lime, and elderflower. I really enjoyed my drinks and their presentation and so did my other friends who ordered drinks and food. 4 people in my group were approached by a worker to have a mini tournament for free drink cards! Even though I wasn't one of them, it was a fun unexpected surprise! I had an amazing night here and will for sure be back! Highly recommend for it's lively vibe, decor, drinks, friendly fun staff and ping pong!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I had a very fun time at SPIN the other day. The service was friendly and drinks were good. Facility was quite larger than I had anticipated and has not only ping pong but shuffleboard, giant connect 4 and other games. There was also some sort of valentines day event happening with games and performances. Would recommend!

Cee K.

Yelp
Cool spot to take the family for a weekend lunch! Kids and adults alike enjoyed. Employees were kind and friendly and the vibe was very cool. Overall a great experience!

Lucy W.

Yelp
My brother had an event at this space, and it was my first-time playing ping pong since high school many years ago. The ambiance was welcoming, and the food and drinks were delicious. The staff were very friendly and quickly brought all orders with a pleasant delivery. It was a unique and special place.
google avatar

Ryan T.

Yelp
So much fun!! Whether you're coming here to play some ping pong or shuffle board it's such a vibrant place to come and gather with coworkers or friends. Ping pong is charged by the half hour or hour and shuffle board is free! There's tons of ping pong tables so don't worry about space. There's a few bars through out the space as well as a food menu so you can eat, drink, and play! They're open late as well so it's a nice late night spot for some fun.

Katherine Jane R.

Yelp
We had the best experience at SPIN. The manager Marquis was SO accommodating. We have a mixed group of adults and kids and we all had a great time. The place is huge and clean and the staff is so friendly. We are now booking my son's b-day party with them. Food was SO good. Nachos and Spin Burger- YUM.
google avatar

Lindsay L.

Yelp
Brought my team here during a leadership conference - make sure to reserve as far in advance, because it hooks up fast - even on a Wednesday! Ping pong was interactive and we didn't have to chase our own balls. Really fun and low key atmosphere, great for a group of friends - they charge by the table not the person. Had an excellent time and would go in another city or back in Boston!
google avatar

Holly K.

Yelp
Poor name for a bar, because you would pass it up thinking it is a literal spin bar (with exercise bikes). To my pleasant surprise, it was a ping pong bar!! Really cool vibe inside this 2 building bar, with several TVs and games (Connect 4, Uno, Jenga, ping pong). One hour of ping pong will cost you $50; which seems a bit over-priced. I would not return to play ping pong, but I would return to watch a sports game or just hang out and drink. Great concept, really fun bar, cool vibe, but too expensive for both ping pong games and drinks.
google avatar

Katie W.

Yelp
We went for an event for a meeting I was attending. Their service was amazing. Everyone we encountered was helpful. The ping pong tables were great and I could watch them use their little ball picker uppers all night. The "pros" they had to teach ping pong were so nice and helpful. And fun to watch. The passed appetizers were excellent. I would highly recommend this place for a night out or an event. Very cool spot.
google avatar

Melanie H.

Yelp
Honestly I think even though this puts a fun SPIN on just going out and getting drinks with friends, I feel like they charge a lot for not much of what you get out of it. During the summer especially, there are a lot more places where you can just play ping pong for free so it doesn't seem as worth it. It's a similar business model to places like puttshack and swingers, but for some reason it feels like it needs a little more something to it. In terms of drinks, they don't have a wide drink selection and they're not the best tasting either. I got a regular mule and it was nothing special but maybe I was just expecting things to be a little more themed than they were. Granted, it is the only place of its kind around the area so it does have that going for it though! And it can still be fun with friends just overall a little pricey!
google avatar

Erika H.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place 0 stars. We rented out the entire venue for a event, I was so excited for the event but very disappointed after the foul treatment of the staff. It was as if they wanted us to leave as soon as we got there. All of the staff: hostess, bouncers, bar tenders were rude and not accommodating whatsoever. They separated 21+ and 21 under with wrist bands but the bar tenders still made everyone give them IDs AND a card that match our name (very shady.) They denied peoples IDs when they were 100% real, kept picking up our food and drinks after we put them down for a 1 second. When the bar tender took IDs and would serve people 21+, the bouncer (lady with black hair) would override and deny them. Only because SHE thought it was a fake. Very confusing and rude. After traveling for so long to get to Boston, it was not at all the experience I was expecting. Don't even get me started on the tater tot's that were basically like chewing rocks. So bad I didn't want to try the pizza. If you are looking to plan a private event, this is the last place I'd go to. Stay away! Especially if you want to enjoy yourself.
google avatar

Brooke C.

Yelp
I went here in the winter and for the most part had a great experience. It's a fun environment and works really well for a group of 4. My group made a reservation in advance so we could secure a ping pong table. The drinks and snacks were good but we had a strange mixup. We ordered one serving of fries but the waitress came out with 2. When we told her that we didn't order 2, she gave them to us anyway and then ended up charging us for them.
google avatar

Yelp
Spin is such a fun and interactive place to head! Weather it's for a work event, or fun with your friends and family, the staff and leadership are amazing and really make you feel at home! Between the Ping Pong and Uno, my team really had a great experience. The food Chef prepares was so tasty and they have a really great array of drinks as well. Thank you Spin team for an amazing night with my team! Sarah G

Yelp
A hungry family of 7 stopped by for a meal and some ping pong. When we asked if kids are ok, we got an odd look and were told yes only until 8pm. Then we were told it would $49 an hour for ping pong. Nevermind. We decided to just eat. we were told to sit either at the bar or at the high tables by the bar. since we had kids, twin 15-year-olds , we decided to sit at the high tables. After about 5-10 minutes, someone came over and said something about no service at this table. She said she wanted to double check, she came and said there is service and someone would be with us. After another 5 to 10 minutes, no one came around or even looked in our direction. We took our money that we planned to spend on seven meals plus drinks to another restaurant. As we walked out, we let the hostess know that no one came around so we decided not to stay, and all we got was have a good day. Welcome to Boston!

Anthony G.

Yelp
Edited: Great food and bar staff. I was frustrated by ping pong table booking on a busy night after a long day of traveling and left a negative comment. The owner responded almost immediately to make things right. Thank you.

Jamie B.

Yelp
This place was so fun. I'm not a ping pong pro by any means but this place makes me want to be! The ball sweeper (you never have to pick up a ball! really!) makes it feel like something a little more special than just playing ping pong at a rec center or bar... plus the vibe definitely has that trendy nightlife feel, with great service and an extensive drink menu. At first, we were in the habit of still picking up our ball every time we dropped it - but the staff actively encouraged us to just let them go, which helped us finally get in the habit of it. They even have a bathtub of ping pong balls! We didn't jump into it, but it was tempting... maybe next time! The decor is overall really fun and artsy as well, which is always bonus points in my book. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for something to do in the area for nightlife that has an actual activity component to it!

Yelp
Chris was extremely nice and down to Earth. My family and I had such a great time here. On the next rainy day we're in Boston, we'll be sure to stop here again to have hours of fun.

Yelp
We rented three tables for a social event and we loved it! This place is HUGE! Tons of ping pong table and all spaced out! Lovely mural and great vibes. You can easily come here on a Friday night to play a game with friends and grab a bite and sit around to chat. Def will come back!
google avatar

Jack L.

Yelp
I hate that I'm a sucker for speciality game bars, but this is a solid place to hang out for an office happy hour or with a group of friends. Ping pong is truly fun for all levels of experience. That should be the end of the review, but I guess things that took away from that last star included weird and stingy reservation times, service times, and odd service. They weren't severe enough to really be a problem, so it's still a fun place in my book!
google avatar

Lee R.

Yelp
We happened upon this fun place to be by accident while we were trying to get out of the rain. It is awesome! Games galore. Drinks are great ... and everyone was so happy to be here having fun! Ping Pong tables are for rent by the hour ... and all of the tables were full when we were there. The nachos and the Mediterranean platter were delicious and there was plenty to share. Our sever was friendly and helpful as he offered inside tips with us about Boston too. I recommend getting there before 9 PM... Because after 9:00, it gets really crowded. I don't think it's a secret anymore even though it's new.

Yelp
So much fun! We loved the ping pong and all the games they had to play. Go late and get the $9 after 9 deal!!

Yelp
Fun date night! And love the ball "sweeper" machines the staff uses to pick up all the ping pong balls Gets crowded late night with the DJ, if that's your scene.

Yelp
I don't typically leave reviews as most places I visit already have multiple reviews that reflect my experience. SPIN has a good vibe, a lot of space for ping pong and other activities such as giant jenga and connect five. The bar and food were decent for noshes while playing the other activities. I want to love this place and it has so so much potential to being a fun staple in Seaport. However, there was some miscommunication and unnecessary escalation at the beginning of our visit. We had booked two tables and asked if they can be next to each other for our group. While it was not guaranteed that they'll be next to each other they ended up being at opposite ends of the venue. The host of our group asked if there were other ways we could get them closer, such as potentially swapping with some of the empty tables or other guests. The host was told no by staff but there was a group that was willing to swap with us. We thought it would be ok to swap. The general manager came over and immediately raised his voice and said to not to move his customers and then very rudely explained why not. The reasons were valid and was helpful for us to know as we had no idea how complex the booking system behind the scenes may be. As someone who has worked multiple customer service roles in the past myself, I can sympathize and just wanted to de-escalate the situation, get us talking at civil indoor voices. Our group can understand reason and are willing to reverse what we did if it really has that large of an impact by swapping. Each time I tried to speak, he silenced me, literally telling me "no", until I gave up and just waited for him to stop. I have never felt so unsafe in a Boston venue as I did in that moment There were numerous ways to communicate and I'm truly stunned it ended up the way it did. Again, the venue is great but the customer service has room for improvement

Yelp
Bad service, mid food, NOT it. The staff was pretty rude to our party of 6. We ordered nachos and the waiter got distracted and left them at another table. The server proceeded to ask us if we still wanted them even though about 20 mins had passed of the nachos sitting in the cold.

Yelp
All good except the cost to use the pool tables. If this is their thing then cool, but to people who just happen into the spot it's weird to see it cost $40/hour when other restaurants will have them available to play for free

Yelp
Had a lot of fun here, as the atmosphere and ping pong equipment is all top notch and a great setup. Only issues were that the drink service at the tables was pretty slow, and the "ping pong helper" employee was quite pushy to get us to include him by explaining the rules, refereeing, etc. Seriously, we must have politely told this guy "no thanks, we're just here to hit around casually and have fun" like 5-6 times. Then at the end, as he walked away he muttered under his breath "fine, I guess you guys don't like having fun". Was pretty rude and pushy and overall left a bad taste in my group's mouth after that.

Yelp
Very awesome place. There was 15 of us in the group and we had a fantastic time. Almost all the appetizers were good. It catered to all that had a different tastes.

Yelp
Took our boys soccer team to Spin Boston and what a fantastic experience. The staff is super attentive and the food was fantastic (steak tacos was my favorite). This is a terrific place, even if you don't play table tennis, and the artwork/decorations are brilliant. I found out that Spin supports local artists at all their pertinent locations. Located by the Boston seaport, this is a must "stop" during your trip. Thumbs up

Yelp
Great ambience and different unique spot to get competitive with ping pong and watch sports! Massive venue but really create vibe. Also the nachos are fantastic

Yelp
I was celebrating my birthday at SPIN with a group of friends. This place had a really nice ambience and interior design. We had a lot of fun playing ping pong and the food was ok. However, it was very difficult or nearly impossible to book two tables for a big group. I made 2 reservations for two tables ($72 per table for two hours) and called specifically to ask if they could put the two tables together. They said they could try but can't guarantee. I thought ok, at least they can make an effort to put us closer. When we arrived the two tables were literally at opposite ends of the building. Seeing the many empty tables around, I asked if they could switch our tables so that our tables could be closer. They told me no and that the only way we could get the tables together was if we called their sales team ahead of time? This was new information to me, even though I've called them multiple times. No way was I going to split up my guests like this... So I took the liberty to ask one of customers next to us if they could switch with one of our tables. They were cool with it and so we did. Then the manager comes in angrily and tells us that he is very upset and that we can't do this. He was very aggressive about it and even made one of my guests cry. There were better ways for him to communicate this to us but the way he had done it was very unprofessional and rude. He also reduced the time for one of our tables from 2 hours to 1/2 an hour. In all, I think being to book two tables together should be a basic service offered. Whatever reservation system they have is very flawed and needs to be optimized. The blatantly hostile attitude we got from the manager was unacceptable and for this reason I will not be returning to SPIN Boston. Nonetheless, I'm leaving 3 stars instead 1 because our overall experience with the ping pong was still good despite the terrible customer service.
