This place was great! The dood was excellent and they had a bunch of local beers to choose from. Will definitely stop here again next time we're in town.

The food did not hit today. The burgers were over cooked to where the meat did not have juice. I had gotten a rotten sweet potato fry that I almost threw up. It was rancid and filled my mouth with a disgusting taste. And I feel like I was robbed, I went home and ate a PBJ that satisfied me more. I will not be returning. Paid too much for low quality food.

We went in for slightly late lunch. Pretty empty restaurant, so we picked our table. Our service was great, and the food was really good. A little expensive. They have a $25 chicken salad. Haha. We had good burgers and really good tacos.

First time coming here and it was absolutely fantastic! Food was on point. The waitress was awesome. The cook was absolutely on Que! Will be returning soon. Come give it a try! You will not be disappointed! ❤️

This is my go to place when I want to quash a burger craving. The green chile burger is quite good and really scratches that classic burger itch. Its not the fanciest or most refined but the patty is cooked perfectly, not dry, the green chile is excellent and the fries are absolutely great ordered extra crispy. Solid spot.

Food came out cold, which is crazy because we were one of only two tables in the whole restaurant. I would probably have been good if it had been served hot???.

$80 for 2 green chili cheese burgers and 2 kids sliders and some soft drinks is crazy… these ppl are smoking crackers, food was mediocre at best, cokes were flat… shouldn’t have been more than a $40 tab

5 years ago, this place would've gotten 5 stars, the food us to be great but now! 6 tv's and a projector, and they have nothing good on. No sports of any kind. Only night time tv. The bison burger was a huge letdown. Had no flavor. It was tasted like they defrosted it and pulled a pease of meat of the log, made a patty shape, threw it on the flat top till cooked. No seasoning the fries were a sad display, cold and shriveled. We won't even talk about the service. Other than the seemed friendly.

We love our neighborhood burger joint. I remember when they first opened across Coors. I like this newer place better. It's cozy, has a great pub feel. Burgers are consistently great, and staff are typically great, had a few that don't pay close attention. Our last visit was one of the better ones! Plenty of local beers on tap and my husband loves their milkshakes, they're HUGE! Bring back the pot roast, please! Pretty please?!?!? Do we need to beg?!?!? I was told next November

Food was just okay and the service was decent. Can't justify the outrageous prices! Dined by myself for lunch. I showed up at 11:06 but they don't open until 11:15. Who opens at 11:15? I almost left but decided to wait in my car. I had a 1/4 lb. burger, fries and an iced tea. $25.69??? For lunch? C'mon man! For those ridiculous prices you can at least clean the bathroom I'd think. Disgusting and disappointing.

Great local and unique restaurant/bar. Bison burger and tacos are favorites. Staff is warm and friendly. It's a special place.

Our experience with Spinns has always been a good one. The service is good, our food has always been fresh and the environment is great. I highly recommend the green chili cheeseburger and any of their cuts of steak, great backyard, grilled flavor and juicy meat just like we like it! Give them a try, it'll be worth your time!

Must visit wonderful westside local Pub! After a disappointing week with chain Restaurants, Went back to basics...independent singular owned business that the owner is actual there sitting at the bar. Lunch: Philly Cheese Steak Beef served two styles classic or New Mexican on a Hoagie bun with provolone cheese. Had it with green chili, I devoured it! Tap: Marble Brewery Red & Sierra Nevada Amber were my choices. Great service and really enjoyed the lively afternoon atmosphere. Shout-out to the cook!

I wouldn't even rate this place one star. I placed my order on-line, well in advance,and when I arrived about seven minutes early, I noticed the manager on duty standing around talking to the cook. My food did not begin cooking until I arrived. The so called manager on duty doesn't realize or care some customers are on set schedules. I asked who the manager was and she replied "I am " so I asked who is the manager above you, she replied Jessica. So Jessica, if you're reading this review, please know the manager on duty today, 9/7/24 @3:44 pm, has poor customer service skills and she is disrespectful. I assure you, this type of attitude will continue to drive more customers away.

My husband and I went here and we waited a long time for our food to come out. The steak was burnt and the rest was meh but the staff was friendly and they have good music.

Spinn's Burgers has really stood the test of time. They have always been a "go too" in the neighborhood. Saturday evening we could not decide what to make, so we headed around the corner for a bite. We were immediately greeted and seated. Our waitress immediately came to take our order. There seemed to be a couple having an argument in the corner and we continued to wait. Frustrated! I was looking in the restaurant for our waitress because we had already been waiting at least 10-15 minutes. Would you believe she was sitting in the back with co-workers and talking. She had no thought that she had completely forgotten about us. I decided to get up and approach the women working at the register by the bar. She realized the waitress had not even submitted our order into the computer. She asked us to sit at the bar and she would help us personally. She saved the day! She was so kind and personable. It turned frustration into an enjoyable dining experience. She served us some queso and chips which were a great opening to our dinner. I ordered the fish and chips and my husband ordered the fried shrimp. Both were tasty and broke the diet for the night. I like that Spinn's offers some fairly priced red wines and also a good selection of craft beers. We will not let one waitress keep us from coming back! We enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the variety of menu options.

Burgers were average. Beer was kind of one expensive side. Service was good. Ambiance was ok. Probably will not go back.

We enjoyed the Green Chili Cheeseburger, Chili even had a kick. The fry's are skinny and crispy. Would be interested in having other menu items. Worth the trip.

Our first time eating out in a long time and we chose to sit outside, which was fine because it wasn't that cold and our wonderful server, Leah, asked if we would like the heaters turned on and did so. My husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, de-constructed, no green chile. I ordered the regular green chile cheeseburger, with fries, and the fixings on the side. I also ordered a cup of Texas chile with onions and cheese, and a side of cheese, because I wanted to make my own chile cheese fries. My husband's sandwich had the green chile on it. I got a side of onions, instead of cheese, and my burger was about a third of the way off the bun and it was well done versus the medium that the menu says all burgers are cooked to. Our food tasted good, it was just some small details that were missed. I'm hopeful that the next time will be better.

Great burger!! It was super busy when we went but the service was good considering they were slammed. It was clean and had a very casual vibe. Other half likes the beer selection.

We love this place! Delicious burgers and top notch fresh cut fries. Nice menu and beer selection. Staff is always friendly and the patio is dog friendly! Food always comes out fast.

Definitely not the best place for a burger locally is okay if your looking for something quick and easy prices are on the high side and the buns in my opinion are terrible

My hubby and I have been here plenty of times because he usually really likes the Philly cheesesteak. Not this time. It had green chili on it, which he did not order, and, when ordering, he had specified no chili. Yes, he should have sent it back, but the waitress didn't need to be snarky when She told him that. She was the only server there, and there were two other tables, but the service was pretty slow. I ordered the chicken strips and gravy. While the strips were hot, they really reminded me of frozen ones and I didn't care for the so called country batter. The gravy was totally tasteless! The lumps in it were not of sausage, like most country gravy's I've had, but flour! Gross My hubby just received an email birthday treat offer for a brownie sundae, but based on this experience we might have to leave it unredeemed.

Sitting on the toilet with food poisoning at 229 am. Service was good and the place has nice ambiance but we had super simple items and they couldn't get them right. Chicken tenders were overcooked, fries were under cooked and my hot dog made me sick. My wife had an old fashioned which was straight whiskey. They did take it off the bill right away though as she couldn't finish it. We were hoping for better. Thinking about trying this place? Don't.

This burger joint was nice, I liked the outside patio, though the road is right next to spinns. The burgers were delicious!

Spinns is an interesting place - I think they want to be a sports bar because all the televisions are tuned to whatever sports happen to be on broadcast. Aside from that, the food isn't bad, except the shrimp basket; the shrimp are ALWAYS overcooked and too brown and crisp--crisp enough so that the breading comes off the meat when they are cut or bitten into. Twice I have mentioned to the server to tell the cook not to overcook the shrimp; doesn't seem to have done any good. Love the cut fries that are thick and have substance, rather than the skinny fries that are always overdone and too crisp. I like the fish and chips basket; the burgers are pretty good, and with the re-opening to eat-in dining, the service is much better than before. Hubby got the Southwestern chicken salad, and he said it was good, but the greens used are really not very consumer-friendly - he says you can't stab them with a fork like you can with iceberg or Romaine lettuce. Maybe they should mix romaine in with the spring mix they seem to be using. We don't drink beer, so we can't comment on the selection.

Where to eat on a Saturday afternoon. Somewhere open and kid friendly. Party of 4.5. Seated quickly and drink orders placed. Food order was straight forward burgers all around, with fries & drinks. Add green chile to mine and one without any spices for one member of our group. Server came by often, usually to refill drinks until our order arrived. My burger was smothered in chiles. One bite set my mouth on fire. I can handle hot, unfortunately instead of complimenting the burger the green chiles overpowered it. So I couldn't tell you how it tasted. The spiceless burger? Well it must have been cooked downstream of my chiles because it was almost as hot and had to be sent back. So meh on the food, nothing special here for us. Tip: if you want green chile without killing off the taste buds have them go easy. Spiceless? Find another spot on the grill to fry the burger.

Ate here for my first time with my family. We were greeted by a friendly staff. Seated right away, it was busy inside the restaurant. Got a seat over by the bar. Our server Leigha was very helpful. We told her it was our first time there and she gave us some suggestions. We decided to try the Texas BBQ Cheeseburger and the Green Chili Cheeseburger with pepperjack cheese. We also got a large order of the shoestring fries. The Texas BBQ cheeseburger was so delicious! That it was gone in no time. As for the Green Chili Cheeseburger, it was not what I expected. But still good in taste and quality. The shoestring fries were too soggy for my myself and my family. We did not get to enjoy them. Overall, we had a good experience. Thanks to Leigha our waitress. Very friendly and attentive.

I live right up the street and would've never thought of trying this place. I'm so glad I did, our waitress was great, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is amazing!

I ordered chicken strips with gravy and fries and the food was brought out with no gravy. the staff could of said something before preparing it.

Overall, Spinns is a pretty good spot. I hadn't been in a few years, as it's close to my ex's house and he liked the spot, but I ordered to go recently. I'd forgotten how fire the chile is and instantly regretted getting a HUGE plate of fries with chile and the burger covered in it, because my son slammed his hand on them before I could stop it. Our neighbor likes Spinns too and says the fries are also firey and he likes them, but has some consequences afterwards as all. The burgers are good, the beers are great when you can go in, the place is small, quick, and not to shabby.

Great service good local place to get a great bite of food the atmosphere is great for families or meeting up with friends

Burgers are great! (No option for gluten free bun though and they don't have the right lettuce to offer to lettuce wrap it.) They do offer two kinds of fries, one of them skinny. Though, both kinds that we got were limp and greasy. Not worth the calories.

I can't really say how the food is because it never made it to our table! The server asked a couple of different times how I wanted my burger And she forgot what kind of beer I ordered . I finally had enough when I saw two tables get their food, they came in after we had already ordered. So when I asked the waitress to cancel the order she said "are you sure ?" No apologies. Then she yelled out "cancel order!" So our food wasn't anywhere near ready. Off to another restaurant that has their crap together. You deserve NO stars Spin's!

Unexpected surprise! There were 3 of us and we each ordered burgers; 2 Spinn burger's (one with an egg) and a tortilla burger with green chili and smoked bacon. We also added onion rings, chili cheese fries, shake and teas. The burgers were brought out with no mayo, mustard or ketchup which was odd until you bit into it and that's when the flavor came in. They use fresh, never frozen meat and season it perfectly. All of us cleaned our plates. The chili cheese fries were good but really too greasy for our taste. We also wish they had a wider range of sides like potato salad or cole slaw. Overall great experience and will be back in to try the pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs and brats. Recommend for everyone to give it a try.

Had dinner with family & our burgers were cold & fries were also cold. Jalapeño beans were hard & no jalapeños plus cold. Took 30 minutes for our order to come out & the cook was chugging a large mug beer. This use to be a frequent stop but will never be back

It's not complicated. When autumn rolls the monsoon rains out of town and the scent of roasting chile fills the air, it's football season, and that means I need a hangout that offers precisely three things: local beer, lots of TVs, and basic bar bites. Spinns, my local alternative to the franchise monsters of mall mayhem Chilibees, offers two of these. Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of the food. But for the basics, Spinns will work. I've generally enjoyed the table service, the outdoor patio is a perfect spot to unwind with some friends after work, and it's rarely crowded. If you stick with a platter of green chile cheese fries and a local IPA, you'll have a better handle on the disappointment that, yet again this year, your team isn't the Patriots.

The Green Chile Cheeseburger is among the very best in The Duke City. Hand-ground, hand-formed, and hand-grilled, this beauty is covered with some of the best green available. Juicy and delicious. Forget the fries. Oily and cold (they took them off my bill -- thanks). But I will try them again. *********************************** On my second visit (2017 12 06), I confirmed that the GCCB (competition style, of course) is one of the best in The Duke City. This GCCB is close to perfect with plenty of piquant Hatch (match) and gloppy American Cheese. The bun should be smaller. The Sweet Potato Fries are spectacular. Tasty and lightly crisp with no hint of frying oil.

Spinns is right down the street from my house. Spinns has beer. Spinns should be a regular hangout for me. Spinns has decent food. The burgers are ok, the buns are delicious. The house cut fries are really good. The cheese fries are a huge disappointment, bagged cheese barely melted, pass. The service is awful. Terrible. I have been to Spinns a dozen times and received mediocre service- Every. Single. Time. At the bar or at a table, the servers would rather congregate and chit chat. I only come here because it's convenient.

We had the queso burger because someone told Is it was amazing. I no longer take food advice from that person. It was the most highly mediocre dish I have eaten in a long time. A patty on a bun covered in queso from a can. Wasn't impressed. I'd go again and try something else.

Stopped in tonight at Spinn Burgers and they were all dolled up with white cloth tablecloths and votive candles on the tables. Nice, but it didn't do much for the fish and chips I ordered. Taste like a frozen fish cake with beer batter. Not much to write home about, but here I am. Pilsner was better than the fish. I like it because it's a local boy making good. And it's a convenient neighborhood pub. Comfortable atmosphere. You could do worse. I'll be back.

Craving a good burger, we stopped in after yelping for a burger place in the area. The place has a hip vibe; small almost tiki-looking bar, TV's, patio and a decent amount of seating. The large shakes are big and really good and do cost $5.25, so make sure you really enjoy it. We ordered vanilla and it came with this orange whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top. It looked a little funky at first, but I guess it's Halloween time?!?! Just don't love seeing orange on my white vanilla shake. Anyhow.... The menu has burgers and brats; can't beat it. There are also salads and some lighter sandwiches too. They offer wheat buns and pretzels buns making it a nice way to change up your order a bit although I did order the pretzel bun and I can honestly say, it wasn't the best pretzel bun I've ever had, I didn't even notice the taste difference from a normal bun. Sad. We ordered the Texas BBQ Bacon and Cheese burger and the Armadillo burger. The Armadillo burger came on 1 tortilla on a plate, the burger, a fried egg, bacon, lots of beef chili, green chilies and cheese. It was hot and messy, and I don't think we'd order it again. The BBQ Bacon and Cheese burger was good, nothing bad to say about it. Fresh Cut Fries were pretty good, but super, duper greasy. Be careful those of you whose stomachs can't handle that kind of food. Personally, I didn't feel too well after finishing my meal and neither did my boyfriend. The service was slow and the place was literally empty when we went (a little before 5pm on a weeknight, yes Senior Citizen hour, I know). We could see the servers chit-chatting which was a little annoying since our drinks were empty and our plates ready to be cleared and we were just ready to get the bill.

Food was good. But the whole 5 orders we made 2 were accurate. Who orders green chili cheeseburger and get no cheese or chili? We ordered from the app and it was right from our end but not what we got. Wanted to complain but we were at home and had to add our own store bought cheese and green chili. But have to say I will go back. It was so good. Fries were awesome. Maybe we could've just saved money since restaurants charge you much more for cheese and extras when we all ingredients except buns

The food is really good that environment was really nice but when we're done eating our food. It seems the waiter was pushing us out. And not once did she refill our drinks.But there was plenty of tables open.

Average is about right for this place. The service was Ok, but clearly only average. The food the same. If average is what you're looking for, this place is for you.

Hidden Gem! This is my third visit to Spinn's and I haven't been disappointed. The burgers are one of the best I've tried in Albuquerque, and the prices can't be beat. They have a good selection of local brews on tap- can't go wrong with a burger and a beer. My husband and I will keep coming back. Good food and good service! You won't be disappointed .

Burgers gooooddd ... service ... ehhhh mostly good but inconsistent. I love the burgers and it's a great little hole in the wall, I think there is some things to improve on mostly just more attentive service but pretty good over all

We had not been to Spinns for years and decided to try it out for a quick lunch on a Saturday. As we were walking in, the sign outside said the special of the day was Shrimp Tacos. My husband immediately jumped on those since he had asked me to make shrimp tacos the night before and we opted for a take-out pizza instead. There were three tacos served on warmed corn tortillas. The filling was breaded fried shrimp with iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. There was a sauce on the side which added to the flavor but not by much. The tacos were just okay. Nothing to write home about and nothing I would order again. The side they came with was fries and they were very limp and greasy. Not what I remembered from the old location. We also shared a chips and queso. They too were okay. There could have been more cheese sauce and the sauce could have had more heat to it. Beer choices solid, but the beer list was not up to date. With so many other awesome food choices on the Westside, Spinns would not make the cut again for us.

Food is a little greasy, but overall delicious. Service is great and prompt. Great for weekend lunch.

I tried Spinns Burger and Beer for the time this evening. Pros: Green Chile cheese burger was really good. Customer service was good, atmosphere is welcoming and chill. It's was busy but not crazy. Food was reasonably priced. They have Local beer and cider on tap from some of the most recognized breweries in Albuquerque. They also have an outsider sitting area for the nicer days. Cons: The fries would have to be the only con I experienced on this visit. They have three different style fries to choose from. We got the fresh cut and they were saturated in oil. It appeared that the tacos were popular among the crowd. They looked fantastic passing my table. I will definitely be back to give them a shot. If it wasn't for the fries they would have received 5 stars.
