"At some point we’re gonna run out of bar concepts, right? Wrong. Because as long as booze is being poured and kegs are still being delivered, it doesn’t much matter what decade or country or gay rodeo theme you decide to theme your bar around, the people will come. But when you’re able take a concept and organically infuse it past just the wallpaper (and into your food), you might have something really cool on your hands. On paper, Spitz appears to be just another colorful addition to the Los Feliz hipster postcard. Its large open windows have the place basically spilling out onto the sidewalk, if not literally. And upon entering, your eyes are immediately drawn to the impressive tap selection behind the bar and the long, wooden communal tables perfect for big group hangouts AKA day drinking. You think to yourself, “I’ve got my new drinking spot!” And you’re not wrong. But Spitz is actually much more. At Spitz, the food is the focus and it’s paying off. Spitz’s primary mission is bringing European street king, the Doner-Kabob, to the mouths of hungry hipsters. Even if nothing is truly mind-blowing here, everything is still pretty d*mn good, especially when you’re sitting around drinking beer and playing trivia. That beats cold wings and diarrhea nachos any day. Food Rundown Street Cart Doner The easy go-to and signature item at Spitz. It might not be the Mediterranean’s finest, but with that delicious meat and lamb mixture, fried lavash chips and tzatziki it’s not too far off. Zesty Feta Doner The zesty feta spread is NOT to be taken lightly. Add in the pepperoncinis and you might just have a better version than the original. Spicy Doner One more step up on thermometer, this hot totty has all the pepperoncinis and chili sauce to give you the kick in the ass you probably know you need. And you’ll gladly be getting the next round of beer. Doner Salads Basically a deconstructed Doner kebab on a bed of lettuce, but for anyone who gets excited about slightly fewer carbs, this salad is actually pretty delicious. Street Cart Fries MUST ORDER ALERT. These things are so good, its basically the best of Europe dumped onto French fries. HEAVEN. Don’t even think about not “the works” either. Crispy Garbanzo Beans This won’t ever be the first thing you order at Spitz but they’re oddly really good and secretly addicting. Proceed with caution." - Brant Cox

Head to Spitz, the bright Mediterranean street food spot where you could spend two hours or 30 minutes of your night - all depending on how much you end up liking the person across from you. You order your food at the bar, so you won’t get bogged down waiting for a check from a disappearing waitress and if conversation dries up, there are tons of board games around to keep you occupied.
